Date event achievements conclude

Living story was always 2 weeks, begining tuesday. Also there were global achievements in the bigger monthly story that was made from 2 stories. Like the Gauntlet week and after Invasions now. Today in about 10 hours….. more or less (it used to be almost always 18:00 at begining of game with releases but not lately) new patch comes, and new living story i believe.

Although…. what you ask is conclude date of events. This would be 2:00am today, 8 hours ago. Since as far as i recall there was no more dailys for old story at tuesdays and such. It is not the case. You still have daily, events still are out there. Curious and unknown to me – i guess we wait till evening

Revamping Tequatl? Why?

I remember loads of people crying about Kholer being to hard and passing 99% of dungeon. This was over half a year ago, dodging or blocking/stability was beyound their gameplay capabilities. But we survived through those… I guarantee after couple runs people will learn the tactics. Bahh – guilds WILL BE running this! So always success probably. Mini Tequatl? Unique Ascended weapon drops? More? Ofcourse, first runs might result in people being “ahhh what is this, why i cant dmg him booOoo fooOoOoo”…. Those people never read anything, dont listen and just zerg up thinking you can do anything by pressing “1”. But after couple runs people will know you need to use canon here and there, cleanse this, protect that… It really isn’t that much complicated, i’ve seen faaar more challenging bosses. But in the reality of GW2 gameplay style it’s simply perfect. ANet did very well job with Tequatl and… even if you are a complete pesimist – you will see that we will pull through and farm him well :P For glory, for gold, for Elona!!!

People don’t want a challenge. They want to succeed. It’s human nature to take the path of least resistance. I left World of Warcraft because of this raid-mentality nonsense and now it’s invading Guild Wars 2.

I haven’t read a bigger pile of nonsense since my days in L2 forums. The fact you dont like a challenge and want just item to be given because you went somewhere, or just log in perhaps is sad itself, but that you claim people dont want it? Dude it’s one of best revamps, and one really needed and anticipated, in the entire game. Exactly what we want. Challenging, tactical, requiring lots of cooperation and special things being done. You want to go and use autoattack on afk for 10min to kill boss? Yea, really pro game. It’s just what everyone is lookin for. It’s like playing quake only your enemy don’t have weapon and is stationary. I cannot believe people are actually whining about this game becoming more challenging in proper ways…… incredible…

BRAVO ANet! I’m really, really happy after reading the notes of new Tequatl battle. It’s gonna be awesome. Finally a raid with tactics which need cooperation. Much obliged.

To people that don’t know what changes are we even talking about…. i’m not gonna spoil the fun. Just look it up via google GW2 Anniversary Bash coverage.

Now do the same with Zhaitan please

There are enough dungeons in this release……. -.- In some add-on like Maguuma or Crystal Desert… sure why not…. but more here? No way, you guys have enough farming areas as it is.

As to raids….. i agree here partialy. Raids are the best part of mmo. The only thing similar to raiding in GW2 is Queen Karka, due to her respawn time and tactics including more then spaming 1 skill. It’s still not enough though.

I would love to see a boss in WvW for example, that spawns once a week and give very nice bonuses after defeating him. But it would have to include tactics like siege equipment, using stuff in environment and ofcourse pvping with other servers for it. That would be fun raid!

There was some comments about 10ppl raids… how is it raid? 20-30…. something like guild mission with really complicated tactics to add not just kill it…. but 10ppl? Pointless. No fun whatsoever.

The best idea for a raid so far though includes revamping the storyline. Imagine if Arah ended as you approach Zhaitan and you shoot him down…. the end. And then – you have to go open world and do an epic fight on the ground after watching a scene in the skies where a huge pact ship blows him off to the ground! A fight much larger and far better then the instanced one right? It would just have to be done as Jormag. I mean couple phases of fighting, many diferent things to do… not just spaming skills. And it’s Zhaitan so it would have to be some epic stuff. THAT i would just looove to see, it would be a gigantic plus for the ArenaNet.

There would have to be a whoooole team of developers, and a GOOD ONES… to completely revamp the story. It’s all bad now. There were topics about it already. Missions are far to simple, story is far to short… there isn’t really any diference between orders. Priory or Whispers… i feel practicaly like it’s vigil everywhere. There should be significant diferences, many puzzles and examinations here, mostly stealthing and stuff there… or assassinations or something. Lots and lots of missions to just earn the reputation to progress with main story. Couple quests and you are suddenly the emperor of tyria. Boohoo. The ending is most disapointing + what you said, about the character being just put in the story… home instance is just one part of that. It’s like it doesn’t even exist. Why it’s even there. Should be much improved as well.

We can discuss about the story for months, it has a huge potential. It’s just that the way they do it… mostly content in games is done for dungeon/gold farmers nowadays, which can be seen when you enter the world. It’s really sad…

Easy workaround is to go back to LA for 1 second, request kick, go back to WvW.

Imagine you are in SM Castle or on full server after waiting in line… and you go to LA just to kick someone….. Just a random example. RMB is only “report” at this time, it would be fun to have more options… like kick from party or anything. You can even invite enemy to party via the “P” party panel.

Anyway, lack of kick can be very annoying. It would be much appreciated by the variety of players to have such options in WvW Thanks :P

Soul bound WXP booster gift 8/22/2013

Already many topics about this so i guess i’ll just post in this one….

Spehss it’s perfectly resonable to complain. We get a frree booster for WvW expierience. I was like “ahh yeaa, awesome gift. thx anet!”. And i relog to my main char, cause its uterly useless at the one i logged…. and what? Mail is not there. So i had to log back to low lvl trash and get the mail there. And it’s SOULBOND….. wtf? All the boosters are account and this one soul? WvW exp is soulbond to each character already so why would the booster be as well lol. Anyone who didn’t get the memo about it will most likely log with “wrong character” :| N/c…..
A tiny sugesstion – make it account bound, like every other booster… Problem solved, everybody happy, complains ungrounded. Thanks.

Hoping for a new personal story

I couldn’t agree more. The story begins very nicely for every race, you feel like you’re put in something interesting. Attack on village with humans or catacombs with ascalonian ghosts at charr…. unfortunately the fun ends very fast – already around level 10. Well, for example the quest at charr where you need to find flame legion spies. You go in to bar and yell “flame legion is boohoooo” and spies just leave. Really…? Then you follow them… no “spot meter”, no dialoges “are we being followed”, no nothing… and they meet their handler which is not stealthed or anything and just walks through the city. If it was atleast some character that we can meet in the city and dispose him, making Black Citadel much more safe… but no Such disapointing stories are on regular bases, being crashed down even more by the dialoges themselves. I dont know why but instead of articulating sentences, some pauses while ground tremors or action takes places… it’s just one line after another – sounds ridicolous.

All of this is truly worse around level 50, when you go to battle of Claw Island. A very impressive fort with loads of cannons, trebuchets and soldiers. And you see just couple of soldiers, many of which stand by walls not fighting. Noone is operating cannons or trebuchets or whatever. Risens just keep coming and you practicaly fight them alone. Trehearne is obviously being himself (this is a huge offtopic… let’s leave it with that). And the dragon creature? I guess we could settle for an opinion that we have some kind of army clearing fort and fighting him… but why it’s a static graphic? They don’t fight. Dont do anything… Instead dragon has so low health bar capacity that you can finish him solo very quickly.

Honestly there are so much missions like that. Some should remain instanced, revamped completely ofcourse.. but some could take place in the open world – as group events. It would be waaaaay more fun to battle for claw island with a lot of players, or to fight Zhaitan Eye in Orr and so on, and so on… Not to mention Arah story. Ah men… The whole dungeon is really god, but the ending fight with Zhaitan? I thought he was suposed to be the elder dragon that is responsible for all the mayhem. And he just sits on tower shouting “kill me already, i’m bored”? Most disapointing end of story evah. This really should be finished when you reach him… and then made in some huge group event scenario, like the Claw of Jormag. It’s merely a claw and yet soooo much more fun there then the actual dragon… bahh……

I really hope ArenaNet makes efforts to give us a completely revamped storyline of a proper quality. I would gladly reroll character just to play it. Afterall not all players are simple farmers, that care about nothing else then how much gold thet get from something… there are those amongst us, that love a good story more

Why not Adine, that’s the whole point. Who gives a skritt about PvP dueling. It’s PvP… the point is to test yourself with your PvE items, skills etc… perhaps at lower level not 80 fully geared….. Also in PvE you can have very diferent stats then in PvP. Each item can be picked personally, not one with global stats.

Agreed…… no duel…. this is very weird. Simply adding such possiblity of fighting with friend + option to check if someone want to ignore any invites to duel so it doesn’t popup as window. Some people are kids who spam it. I met many people in Mist who entered public server and then was like “we fight 1v1 here, go away!”. Cause casual player has nothing better to do but enter 50 public, not private, servers in search of one where people actually play tdm not 1v1 -.-

Welll….. i gotta say this is quite a nice cover of WvW you did. I do have one “but” though. All is good, except:

Also I think every Character in WvW should start with some kind of Starting Amount of Skill Points so that you can begin from the start with a few Skills.
Like for example a Starting with 10 Skill points for every Category Tab

I honestly dont understand why the rank isn’t global across all characters… perhaps there is some very good reason i’m not unaware of – enlighten me. For now its annoying.

Also commander should be changed much. There was many good suggestions about it, like people can choose which commander is active at any time by click voting on him on map. Or commander being chosen automatically with some kind of “being pro” system, no idea how it would work :P So there wouldn’t be 3 or more commander at map at once…. but one…. Atleast make the commander obtainable in some other way, like an achieve or some kind of hardcore wvw guild mission… 100g is stupid. Every farmer has it without a slightest idea what to do with it.

Happiness for casual&hardcore players alike.

Naaaah, one mode is enough. If they could just make a working, doable, T E S T E D content in the future it will be sufficient. FIxing it, nerfing drops, boosting mobs heavily just couple hours to one day after release is so friggin annoying… Most of the times people that can play all day long will get all achievements done before the boost/nerf, and the rest can’t do it after. Like it was with Trials. Easily soloed with guardian… and then they added sooo much new spawns that it became so hardcore barely anyone tried anymore. It was just to difficult. Challenge doesn’t mean that 10people on server will have it, it just means you need to try like 20 times and several builds…. and what we get in game is not that!
Having hard mode for achieve would change absolutely nothing, because achieve hunters still wouldn’t be able to get them… and farmers… they just be more happy cause instead of 15sec farming deadeye and getting superb rich in week they would be like “ah its easy mode now? awesome, i can get even more moneyyy yeyyy”.

Let me think…. some oaks near jungle wurm, some near behemoth….. i think there are a few more. But generally the idea itself its nice. Although not much resources there if any. So rage about casual players is nonsense. It would be fun though if there was some kind of link between oaks, shepards of the forest (it’s not lotr though xD), and then actual woods :P Quite an interesting idea.

Immune to Burn is stupid

Whatever way you look at it, a creature that can live in lava shouldn’t be able to be burnt. Same as a rock shouldn’t bleed, and an Ice Elemental shouldn’t be Chilled.

These sorts of things make players think of different approaches to how they fight enemies.

Ah man you have no idea how happy i would be if it were so… Fire elementals wouldn’t burn, earth couldn’t bleed and so on… or ice golems and chill…. for all sakes it should boost em rather then debuff… well atleast make less effect. Those were effectively working in GW1 if i recall corectly, system itself is genuinely awesome. And then you enter this topic and read “in wow…” – let me get back to you in general by sending you to a talk with Walter, friend of Ahmed.

This game is faaar to easy already (excluding ridicolous living story minigames), making it more that way… well many people quit. What’s the point if it’s like F1 F1 F1 F1 F1 dead…. older gamers know what i mean.

So it will be team instance? Awesome! It’s impossible to do with random people (well almost). I had a nice try yesterday till Toxx came and was knockbeck back inside center…. 5 sec later we had no def…… Doing this with friends would be not only easier but also much more fun game experience

I totaly agree with you. The problem is even bigger after each update when all guildies have Unknown status. Not all play 24/7 – there are many that play few hours a week or even less. It’s nearly impossible to know when they logged last, if they still play at all – especially when the number guildies increase.

I really miss the Guild Wars 1 Roster – leader tab, officers tab, last online, who recruited…. all the info you could want in one simple window. And here? You have practically no info at all. It’s sad really.

Evolving that events is a better idea, messing with WP’s wont change anything. Most people are using the “revive” option instead of letting corpses rot around. Only a few useless players on that events.

Anyway – Jormag is pretty awesome constructed, much of stuff to do and it’s a challenge. Takes quite a time to kill it. Tequatl on the other hand… well…. Also if we talk about easiness of dragon champions – remember mission in Lion’s Arch? It’s a story ofcourse, but c’mon! :P As to Shatterer it supose to have some changes, haven’t seem em yet so not speaking on him.

But in general i agree – something, has to be done. To make those feel like world bosses dragon champions.

WvW Should NOT Be A Part Of PvE World Completion

You need gifts from WvW badges + gift for 100% map (with WvW) for legendary, so why would you take it off World Completion? Very very bad idea, completely ridicolous in my eyes. It is good as it is – seriously people stop demending changes that make games more more and even more easier to solo complete. This is MMO kitten !!

And i love all such quests, especiallly since you fight Eye of ZHAITAN hellooooo. It should be group quest or atleast stay the way it was, it was challenging – maybe not for your class, but running here and there and defending at end was giving you a feeling of glory after mission…. now its closer to fart. Seriously….. waaaaaaaay to easy :/
