Okay so let me get this straight… Out of anything you could have been working on for WvW, new map, separate balancing for our game mode, more rewards, balancing changes for WvW. You go and do the thing most veteran players DO NOT WANT and apply gliding. Do you’re players even bother going to WvW or join TS or Discord? I don’t think you guys do and it shows. You haven’t clearly been listening to us and I am greatly appalled by this change.

You need more friends that are smart

Or is it more the problem that no core wvw player want gliding in wvw? only pve players that jump in wvw and than complaining that they die off cliffs ?

Ask 100 wvw veterans ( 2k+ rank not eotm 100k+ kills) and over 90% doesn´t want gliding in wvw

New Fractal Meta

We went back to 2 tempest +1 chrono/druid/ps pretty standart power setup.
First power daily since ages and went pretty smooth.
Tested with the old 4 Viper eaper setup yesterday and the dps just sucks. no way you still want to run that low dps just for safe runs.

the changes to stability and walls are great but now since stab in general is in a good spot again you see how broken the random boon stripping is.

you can take 10 equal good fl players that are avoiding all big boon rips like wells but cause there is much random boon strip around or you cannot dodge the first tick of the corruption well always or you get fokus/CB corrupted.

9 players are fine cause they randomly loose other boons but 1 player loose stab and get rekted. that feels wrong casue it had nothing to doo with good/bad gameplay he just got rekt by random boon strip.

jeah the old boon rip order with stab on the last spot was op but randomise such strong gameplay like boonstrip feels wrong cause there is no skillfull counterplay.

just roll back to the old boon rip order but put stab on another spot. maybe 2-3 boons and then stab so if a player play bad and get hit by to much boon rip he loose his stab but good players getting 1 single boon curroption not get randomly rekt.

a randomise mechanik never should make a real important difference in gameplay.

How to get better/more stable FPS ?

just crank up all settings that are gpu bound and turn off the 2-3 settings eating your cpu power.

i play with that settings on a 2500k @ 4.9 Ghz and a gtx 970 at 1440p with 80-130 fps in non cpu limit zones and drops down to 25 in heavy 70vs70vs70 3 way sm fights.
postprecessing is just turned of cause it looks horrible

after more than 2 minutes on full load a game never come close to get long enough full load to thermal throttle ssd´s . it´s no big deal in general until you often copy large files from such a drive on another fast enough drive with files big enough to take longer than 2 minutes to trasnfer. in a proffesional workflow maybe, in home use never a problem

and anet plz be careful how you rredesign stab.
plz don´t make the mistake and just add a cd on loosing a stack like 0,3-0-5s or target limit cc skills.
of course it would be better than atm but it still would be bound to numbers and still give the bigger numbers advantage cause they will have more cc´s to get rid of your stacks fast or more cc´s and the samller group would still have in disadvantage in stab.

just complete stop let numbers change the way stab work/fell. just go back to the old system stab=duration and ignore all cc´s so all groups from 15-80 are equal in terms of stab. make it a bit more skillful with maybe stop stack in duration to better timing in partys is more rewarding but plz completly stop the bigger numbers=any advantage in stabilty. should be about timing group setup and coordiantion only.

l@p defending was way to easy before all this new cheesemaps/guildbuffs/new shiled gens and now it´s just broken how easy you can siegebunkering all keeps. atm no server 100% tryhard defending like iin a season but if they would you cannot get any sieged t3 keep with a full zone blob vs 10 defenders manning the right siege.

there counterspots for all gates and walls from inside a keep you cannot reach with aoe and often not even with attacking siege cause of los. lone range trebs wars they counter with trebs from differents spots you often cannot control all or they just yolo die on your trebs until they´re down.

the only old attack way without counterplay was trashopen all gates even fully upgraded while under tons of ac´s hitting you. impossible with new guildupgrade.

if you are ountnumberd by the attackers or just suck at fighting and get 1 pushed every fight open field there is no reason you should be able to hold any keep vs them.

siege/defending should be able to slow atackers down and give you a advantage when both side are around same power but don´t ask for more easy defending because you loose your stuff to a zerg that is just way bigger/ play better than yours. that is a population issue and no siege/defending balacne issue.

if you are not able to push out after you get some time whle attackers open outer and inner walls/gates becasue you doesn´t have numbers or skill to fight them than you deserve to loose it.

siege bunkering with low numbers/skill is1. way to easy and rewarding.

i see you zone blobs most time national server get 1. push every open field fight and if you attack a single keep they just are able to stop you only with siege without any need for them to wipe you even with they´re masssive advantage in siege and terrain for them. if you cannot wipe the enmy you shouldn´t be able to defend your keep just with cheesy siege without counterplay.

i think most important after 1. stability revert and 2. old map backs are 2 things

Rewards
I Don´t want to get rich like sw farm or other things in wvw but i want a solid income maybe 70% per h compared to pve so no pve bots come in wvw to farm g
but more important gear you need for wvw should be easy farmable in wvw. this includes new hot statcombos and all runes/sigils foods. Plz don´t force wvw players with 0 interest in pve to farm pve maps for this stuff

siege
1. make ppl hit by siege not worth ppk for next 30s so siegebunkering isn´t rewarding with ppk
2. increase so siege aoe limit for ac´s massiv ! with the latest los changes there are many spots where 4-6 ac´s that you cannot clear with aoe can hit a gate
3.it´s atm impossible to take down any t3 gate when there more than 5 defenders 1-2 trebs behind the gate and they have this gate only get siege dmg buff active. the combination defending terbs behind gate and this buff + the imense hp of the t3 gates make it impossible to open it even with 70 ppl outside vss 10 defenders.
atm not that big deal becasue no tournament and nobody care about ppt and defend tryharding but with all this new siege/buffs and maps atm it would be impossible to take any t3 keeps from any server as long there more than 10 defenders
defending and bunkering is 1. to easy and 2. too rewarding.

it depnds on classes
guard war necro ele are fine without hot.
complete fp builds like thief mesmer ingi ranger require hot.
all for big scale pugging. e.g. ppl slowly understand that reapers are weaker than old nec´s in big scale pug linefighting. same for old ele and guard.

for roaming/fp play hot=king same as in pvp

1. makes fights fun again. that requires a extra balacne for wvw. revert stab change. it´s broken atm cause more ppl in a fight means more target unlimited cc everywhere but not a single stackss tab more per party.
2. revert the power creep. every patch we get more dmg/boons/aoes/conditions on every class. it´s no fun that in bigger numbers everyone can have nearly every boon all the time and groups 2 shot each other
3. back to old bl and make hiding behind walls with tons of ac´s less rewarding
4. more rewards andmake every gear you need for wvw optainable in wvw (looking at you durability rune and other expensive pve locked stuff. we doesn´t want to get forced to play pve for anything
5.make the maps flat,easy and fast to get in pvp action. we doesn´t need lords with rings you cannot cross even with stab , or stupid stealth fogs or chokes with moving walls everywhere.

most important issue with ppk is that you can farm them with siege bunkering. not that big deal atm because nobody is tryhard defending atm, but when next tournament begin it will be big problem.
vote for a debuff “not worth any ppk” when you got hit by siege in the last 30 seconds. it should not be rewarding farm kills with ac´s.

If there as an enemy zerg build catas and shield gens and not kittened up bubble rotations it´s ok that there is no counterplay with siege for it. just grow some balls and push and cata .
always this mimim i cannot completly stop 30+ attackers as a solo player

defending is way to easy in this game it´s just pointsless, if we where in a season right now and a server had full forces defending it would bee nearly impossible to take any t3 atm with all this stupid new siege/guld buffs.

Stability Reversion

Pretty much.

There’s a mismatch between the relative strength of CC and stability. They’re implemented in a way that suggests they should be equal (1 stab for 1 CC), but the difference in target limit (none for many CCs, 5 for primary stab) means that stability scales horribly with fight size.

While certain cases (e.g. Hunter’s Ward) are problematic in small scales as well, this is mainly an issue that effects 25+ fights.

So what can you do? It’s important to retain the functionality of hard CC (lines, static etc..) because it benefits outnumbered players. That leaves stab to be tweaked. It has to be done in a way that doesn’t strengthen the unorganized blob more than the guild group. I can not think of a better way to meet this requirement than with the icd idea. It effectively caps the amount of CC that’s useful, equalizing that aspect of a fight between groups of different sizes. The larger group is now only superior in damage mitigation and damage output. Since WvW fights revolve a lot around good movement, this produces a much more favorable environment for the more skilled group.

but still think old stab is even better than a icd on loosing stacks cause it require no skill for a bigger blob to jsut spam random cc to make sure the smaller guild lossing there stacks even with icd faster than the big blob.

stabilty wise a small guild should be equal powerful to a big blob. the big blob have way more dmg and player for dmg mitigation, but plz let the skilled group not just get rekt in random aoe/cc spamming by the bigger blob without counterplay.

The old stabily had 1 simple counterplay, not spam your cc randomly , you must have some skill and rek the enemy in the short periodes without stab. way more skillfull than this meta atm

we never get the old hammertrain meta back cause the aoe and dmg power creep in this game make bl playing so op it will still dominate the fights

-cor nerf was a joke The dmg is still totally broken. Reduce dmg massive and let it work other way round so near hits are stronge it´s totally broken to deal such amount of dmg on that range with such a low risk
- stability need a buff best would be revert to old system but than you must admit that you make a msitake so will never happen :-(
-Reduce the power creep since 2 years every major balacne patch increase the overall dmg it´s way to much dmg in the game it´s no fun in large scale that 3 aoe often are enough to isntant kill you. turn down the overalldmg by 30% at least, maybe bit more on bl side
-condis are way to strong in small/midscale scale
-give us back alpine bl new bl are simply terrible
-latest upgrade tweaks make the new system better but old system just without the gold cost still was better

If the new map was a succes, we would make time to be on the map and explore it as much as possible and enjoy every minute of it. You can get hero points through wvw so that is not a problem either.
There are wvw players that only play wvw and no other game mode, not even them are on the map, they stopped log in to the game, and there is farwel posts in the comunity forums, and all regular wvw players on my friendslist (and it is a long list) say they just can not be kitten d to log in and play the new border because it is to big and have no flow in it, and guilds are raiding on eb. People are waiting for respons from devs, but not getting it, meanwhile we are bleeding players.

+1 same for me as hc wvw only player and with a fl full of it

the fl is empty now.
before hot the were 30-40 ppl play wvw only 4-8 hours per day 5-6 days per week.

all already gone or just check the game once a day for changes/g arena progress and log out/slack in pvp

this map is made from pve players for pve players that maybe play wvw as a 2./3. gamemode and care about “pretty” maps. the normal wvw only player doesn´t care about how the map looks just want a easy/flat/fast map for fights like the alpine bl was.

anet killed bl wvw for me and 90% of my fl with this map.
so blob up on eb when running pug and hope for g arena be a success because i will quit gw if not.

Just keep telling yourself that all hardcore wvw-players are playing pve. Hope dies last.

Big pve matches always kill 20-40% of the population in wvw but the core wvw players ignore all this shiny new pve patches and play wvw only after every patch.

this is the first patch where all are gone.

The map is just so terrible that all ppl play pve/or leave gw until they fix this pve bull ….

I only wait how the guildhall gvg szene will be in 2-3 weeks if this is not the same fun as wvw before i´m done with this all hail casual pve srub patches from anet.

HC fighting wvw will be death in weeks if anet doesn´t change a lot !!!!

The new map will be the reason i lost my last hope anet care about the rvr community and will force me to pause gw until a prober new rvr starts or anet change amny things like
-reverse stab change
-back to old bl
-proper gold/gear/skins for wvw player
- 0,00 pve in wvw or the need to paly normal pve to get gear/builds/heropoints
-lower the dmg in genral from players maybe a bit more on bl side
-stop this stupid ac staking/hiding in t3

HoT and previous updates took much of the fun out of WvW for me as well. I’d actually be willing to pay to play the old game (old maps, no stab nerf, no auto upgrade). But that option will never be. I played GW2 (WvW only) exclusively for years but I’ll be looking for other games to play now.

Sad but true only reason i still play is 5% hope it will be better (like late 2013 meta) some day again and 95% the missing alternative for a rvr game with a good combat system like gw2.

I dislike every change to wvw since stab change but the new map is killing the rest of my hope anet give akitten. about the core wvw/rvr/fight community. Most wvw only players i talk with(jeah anet we all play some kind of pve but just because we forced to get some proper gear) quit the game already or are very close to leave.

just my 2 very disappointing cents :-(

Alpine needs to be put back in the rotation….. or they could just put it back and let the new crappy map rotate with eotm. That’s where that PvE bullkitten belongs.

And after some weeks just forget the new map in hell where it belongs.

Pure Pve/ppt/siege wars cancer.

213 Spots for ac´s per gate for the Defenders + op claim buffs =rip bl raiding/fighting.

Only ppl who will left after some weeks will be the ppt/siege tryhard communtity but the most ppl playing for fights in this large scale pvp!(jeah right no pve/nice maps to watch mode) mode will left towards guildhalls and after this to other games.

the cancer stab change lands the first critical hit to the fun in wvw and this map bring it to the end. :-(
