I haven’t mastered all the HoT meta events. But, I do know that DS and TD have metas that start at prescribed times. So does Tequatl. Somehow ANET doesn’t remember because they keep setting up new builds moments before meta occurs.
I get that its not really a problem, per se. You get an hour before you get kicked to the new build. But, we have a lot of new players who don’t get it. 3x now I have been on an organized map, at Tier 4, and 10 min before meta the new build notice. And the newbs log off five seconds before chat starts screaming to stay put.
ANET, please be a bit more aware of meta event times. Its very frustrating.
I never PVP and rarely WvW. Yet there are dailies there, so I can, if I want, get multiple dailies done. I know players who only PVP and those are the only dailies they have a chance at because they choose not to PvE. I don’t see why there can’t be an additional tab for farming in HoT zones just like we do for other significant components of gw2. There a many things in this game geared to a specific player set that could be conceived as disadvantages to other players who are good at or do not want to do X. Or is this more about “everyone gets a trophy” sportsmanship?
I like mastery points.
There are 17 more tyria mastery points than required to max them all. So there are plenty of options

Yes, but the plenty of options in Tyria are all around completeing things that are not part of my “love to play gw2” experience.
-EVERY item in a Living story section (which I find impossible no matter how hard I try, and by try I mean grind through repeating the story trying to achieve all 17 items)
-fractals (which I do not enjoy doing very often), this includes achievements in fractals and hoping you finally get trophy (i.e., spoon) to complete a collection.
That’s it. I’ve looked at the full list. I’ve gotten every other one. I just want more options.
I agree with everything on the list, and the comment on the essence of luck (except it is a crafting mat, sooo), I didn’t see the following, sorry if its a repeat.
The christmas packages, since I get them every day in my home instance.
the PLETHORA of trophies acquired on the road to Legendary crafting
and its a repeat, but worth stressing, basic cooking components.
As we love currencies so much in this game, how about earning an ‘XP token’ each time you fill the bar which can be used to purchase items from an XP Reward Vendor in Lions Arch.

I do not, never will, play PvP. Please create an option for me to check what I’m interested in WvW, PvE, PvP, Story, Fractals, etc. Then only display in the upper right hand corner those things. It drives me crazy to have that text taking space up there. I actually read whats there. Things I’m working on, Story lines, Achievements on the to do list. I do not care at all about PvP. It just takes up space and clutters my screen. Yes, I know I can collapse it, but having the current Story, the constant PvP announcement, the Achievements I’m watching, and the heart or event(s) that are in my area is just one thing too many.
If HOT MPs can be got simply from killing things it’s good enough for Tyrian ones too.
Also in HoT, you can earn MPs by getting to some secret spot and killing a vet and opening a chest. A chest you can get to over and over again. Sounds a lot like a JP in open Tyria. Why haven’t some of those been turned into MPs. There need to be some “easy” MPs in Tyria, as well as the grindy ones if you are going to balance it out like HoT.
Like Gudy said, you have to steer as you jump. It also helps if you are in a team. Put the team member in the water so you have a dot on your screen to aim for. I didn’t jump. Just walked off. I aimed for the dot and steered around the poles. Took me several tries, but I finally got it.
That would be fun. In addition to the “to the death” WvW and PvP matches, just challenging another guild to team with the highest score on some of the HoT Races like Bugs in the Branches. Which I think they need to bring to basic Tyria, btw. How about GvG Games like Capture the Flag in some of the JPs like that pirate ship jumper I forget the name. Or on the Aetherblade ship. or herding animals back into their pen in less time than the other team. The doylaks in Lornar’s Pass or beetles in TD.

Or, since that would probably be too awesome of a title to give, maybe “Leaf On The Wind” (get some more Firefly lovin in this)
Nice. I could also see a shout out to the Tom Petty and call it “The Heartbreaker” or “Free – Free Fallin”. Oh, or “Aetherblade Dive Survivor”. That thing was a nightmare.
I have been playing this game since beta. I love PvE. I don’t do fractals or WvW. I have to do them now in order to earn enough mastery points. You made it ridiculously easy to earn an apple so now everyone thinks they are a commander, but I struggle to earn enough Mastery Points in basic Tyria. Sadly, the only reason I need them is because I have the experience, I just don’t have any points to spend on them to check it off. I don’t actually need the fractal line. You did so much for HoT. And I thank you. I love running in those zones. But, I still love Tyria. I feel like you could have done more thinking through Masteries there. What about speed buffs, specialized vendors being found outside of major cities. Take some of the things you did in HoT and translate them to Tyria. Give me more things to spend my EXP on, but first, make it so I can earn more Mastery points beyond just fractals and spending 1,000 gold buying rare items for a collection.
I love that you gave me the option for those 5 slots. Honestly. I would even ask you give me 3 more so I have 2 rows of 4. It just looks more even for us OCD folks. ;o) But…
Now I only need ONE Salvage-o-matic. I had purchased for as I recall 1,000 gems EACH salvage-o-matics for all the toons I run frequently. I’m not necessarily asking for my 1,000 gems back (though I do buy them a lot). That’s on me. But remember when we had to have dyes on individual toons and you gave me that stack of dyes when you made those account based…. that was great. You need to consider doing something like that. Please.
Dear Anet. I love that you give me the opportunity to earn achievements. I work really hard for some of them. Some I’m actually a bit proud of. Like Dive Master. Doesn’t matter to a lot of people, but it does to me. Please create a title for that. I want that under my toon name while I’m running around.

A long while ago, I did a few fractal runs with friends. Haven’t done it since, and not really interested in doing them again. But, I have fractal relics, and it turns out I need Pristine Fractal Relics to make Mawdrey. I looked through wiki and can’t find any way to turn Fractal Relics into Pristine Fractal Relics and it says you can spend Fractal Relics at the same NPC where you can spend Pristine versions. But when I went there, the NPC would only take Pristine FRs. Can some provide me some insight into this area?
I see I’m out numbered. I hate to admit it, but it does make sense that for some of the storylines it would have to be in the old (original) LA. I forgot about the one in the tunnels of LA. Seems I need to get over it. Thanks for the responses.

I’ve been playing gw2 since the beginning and I love it. I especially love the PS. I’ve hung in there when you rolled out new content and then tweaked it as you went. I get it. You wanted us to have it as fast as possible (so do we) even if that means some bugs need to be fixed post release. I appreciate all of the new content that seems to come out on a fairly regular basis. But….
Please stop rolling out new content out that changes old content and not going back and doing a bit of polish. I just started a new toon and darned if when she got to L40 PS and headed to LA that it was the old LA that Destiny’s Edge is currently arguing in. I’m not a designer/programmer. But how hard would that have been to add into your big LA roll out. This is just one example.

I’m sure its just me, because I didn’t already see this on the forum, but how hard would it be to let my pet names be stored with the pet? I mean, honestly. You have something that remembers every skin I’ve unlocked or dye I’ve opened, isn’t this about the same? They are my pets and every time I switch around, I have to rename. Very frustrating. Doesn’t impact the game in anyway, other than my enjoyment of playing my ranger. So, please, I’ve asked many times in the past 2+ yrs, now I’m begging. Let Frank and Nacho and Ben and the others in my stable have some dignity… and their names.
I don’t care that it doesn’t fit, I just wanted a new PS to do. I love the PS, but I’ve done it, several times now. Yes, yes, its different by class and the choices you make, but I need the base PS refreshed. It needs to keep up with the terrain differences. But, I guess if I have to pick that the designers work on an expansion over refreshing PS, I’ll take the expansion. And no, before you ask, Living Story isn’t the same. It’s not built into starting a new toon and besides, that’s the same freakin story for every toon. I can’t imagine doing it every time I make a new character.
I have 8 toons and all crafting up to 400 on various toons….. I just can never remember which ones for some of the crafts I use rarely. It would be super helpful if on the main log in, in the list under my toons name it listed their crafts. at least the ones that were at 400. I need some way to better manage multiple toons. Besides a sticky on the side of my monitor.

Me and all my friends in the game LOVE the PS. We run each other’s PS just to be able to do it again or to do different story lines. I really enjoy my character’s story in L1-60 as much as I love the events that make up 61+. I wish the rewards were better, or at least stop giving my character gathering tools as rewards, but other than that, wouldn’t change a thing. But MOST of all, I wish that one of the future expansions is more PS.
Question: In the spirit of fan campaigns of the past, what do we need to mail to the A.net offices to get the PS expanded??? Hmmm. I’m thinking apples…
