So obviously it’s from the new fractal, but does it drop off 1st, 2nd or 3rd boss and is it scale based or maybe only challenge mode?? Seems oddly rare :S
So I recently “lucked” out and got both a Shining Blade Glider and a Moth Backpack from a the Guaranteed Wardrobe Unlocks. However, it turns out that when you unlock the Moth Backpack for example, the Moth Glider isn’t unlocked with it even though you can’t buy them separately through any means. This is weird since with the armor sets you can get, you only see the chest-piece in the wardrobe unlock section and when you get a chest-piece, the whole set unlocks with it. Why doesn’t it work like this with the glider/backpack combos? Pretty bummed to get what is essentially half a skin or no skin if one were to buy the combo for the other version.
Why can’t the endless embiggening tonic not be used in WVW by the way? it makes me so sad =(
Pretty sure a recent patch made all non-combat tonics unusable in WvW. They should copy-paste the tooltip of the embiggening tonic to all the older tonics to reflect this imo. Also give us a Tonic Tab already, I would pay gems for that if needed.

Looking good so far, great to see this dungeon making a return.
Balls of Dark Energy are only used in the first fractal backpack recipe and you will only need 2 of these in total and the rest will be useless….why is this still a thing.
I was sure Anet would add a sink in the new patch with the BLING merchant but they thought that trading in an endless fractal tonic for relics was more needed. I have so many of these and I have zero use for them and it just feels bad that I still can’t do anything with them. One way to fix this would be to make them a currency to get stat infusions like with the 16+ agony infusions. After all they mostly come from salvaged ascended armor and weapons.
They forgot to implement it with the main patch, so they bundled it with a sub patch instead.
It has been relocated to the General —> Community tab.
I only need to complete three legendary precursor collections (tier 1 only) I am only missing The Minstrel, Kraitkin and Astralaria. Astralaria only cause of a small timegate and Kraitkin cause of the stupid Dune Soarer
But the ONLY collection that is still bugged is the collection called The Minstrel I: The Experimental Focus. I have everything except for the Quiche of Darkness. The only reason why I still need this consumable is because of an ingredient called Quiche of Darkness Vegetable Mix and the reason why this particular item is uncraftable is because of the Indigo Mushroom. I have harvested over 700 mushrooms and haven’t gotten a single one. I’ve tried Button, Varied, Portobello and even the Sawgill Mushroom patches and still no luck.
I’ve been looking on the forums and seen that people have gotten multiple. It seemed weird and I kept trying to no avail. Then it hit me. They were all going for the requirement for the collection called The Moot III: The Energizer . So the annoying problem here must be that the Indigo mushrooms cannot be harvested until this collection is unlocked even though you need them for the Minstrel tier 1 collection and also a food consumable named Plate of Mushrooms Yakkington. It would be nice if this could get fixed cause it’s the only thing stopping me from completing this collection.

Have you guys been able to harvest the Indigo Mushrooms? I’ve harvested over 200 mushroom patches and not a single one so far, with both the gathering booster and banner.
3. The finisher sales close to this announcement were unneeded, could’ve discounted some of the new weapon skins but the Skritt Finisher is lovely.
(There was no sale, they simply put a tag on them theat they will only be available for a week. During the anniversary sale, there was only the unicorn finisher at full price, which isnt available on hte tp, whoomp finisher for 90% off, which was a good deal and chickenado finisher for 50% off.
So only 3 finishers on sale recently, one isnt tradeable now, one is as expensive as during the sale and for chickenado your argument might be valid.
The Skritt finisher was on sale during the “Talk-like-a-Pirate” day in case you missed that, so I’m not talking about the 1 week notice. Also bought the Chikenado Finisher for the 50% off, forgot that one. (Had Whoop Finisher already but it was priced so low that the gold price is close anyways)
is there a full list of all the new numbers?
Only the Yakslapper achievement nerf is known, but others might be pretty similar in scale.

Since they’re gonna nerf the current WvW achievements to the ground, let us see your current progress in these never ending achievements before it’s too late.
I myself have enough to max out all of the WvW achievements (according to the 1 million —> 2500 Yak logic) except for the 250 kill achievement (got to 57k from 1 year of semi active WvWing as a Mesmer) since they’re not gonna nerf that one.

Well, all I can say is:
1. I’m glad I didn’t buy all of the finishers that I was missing since they’re all on the TP now, except for one.
2. Pretty much all the finishers I bought that can now be bought on the TP were bought a a discount except for a few in the beginning that have been used enough.
3. The finisher sales close to this announcement were unneeded, could’ve discounted some of the new weapon skins but the Skritt Finisher is lovely.
4. Most of the finishers I bought for full value are not found on the TP.
5. Sucks I didn’t buy the Unicorn Finisher as that is gonna be the only one I’ll still need

Just want to clarify since I saw this come up a couple of times in this thread and we haven’t actually released our full official patch notes for 6/23 yet….
Ascended Gear will be staying 5% better than Exotic Gear. Gear beyond the tiers we already have are not going to be added and our existing tiers won’t change, they won’t be our main end-game form of progression for your characters/account for all the reasons we’ve covered before – it isn’t what we think Gw2 is about.
Masteries is being added to PvE to help provide this system as our form of progression for PvE moving forward, and the WvW ability system exists for WvW and will be what we use to expand WvW in the future.
To more directly answer some of your point….We are adding a system that lets you change the stats for your ascended gear next Tuesday – which will cost a combination of 10 spirit shards, piece you don’t want anymore, 5 ectos, and an exotic insignia of the stats you want to convert to. Legendary Gear will remain the gear that can freely change stats any time.

God you need to be more specific Colin! Does it apply to all Ascended gear and if you convert an ascended weapon to another stat, do you unlock a new skin!? I need to know now! xD
Should be, you can’t find it in your wardrobe but that’s cause they hasn’t implemented a glider spot yet.
We have temporarily disabled the Molten Facility Fractal while we work on an issue. This fractal will be available again as soon as possible.
While you’re at it could you fix this too?
Check all your characters. The reward chest is only stored on the character that received the chest/you first logged into after the reset.
So I have recently completed my Luminescent collections and therefore also all of my LS, Dry Top and Silverwastes achievements. I ended up with 6 ascended items with Sinister stats, 2 amulets, 2 rings and 2 accessories. 5 of these are unlocked at my laurel vendor except for the Verata’s Seared Ring . For some reason, even though I bought it and have it in my collection, it is not unlocked at the laurel vendor.
If I now look at the ascended Nomad items I have, I can see that I only have 4 of them, 2 accessories and 2 rings.
This is fine, since there are 4 episodes, one for each(they were introduced at the start of episode 5, all four at the same time for for each of the previous episodes). I did wonder why there were no amulets with nomad stats, so I checked the wiki today only to find that there is in fact 2 Nomad amulets! According to comments on the wiki they unlock once you have all 4 masteries in episode 1-4 but I have them and the amulets are still not unlocked! One comment even suggested that doing the story episodes again on another character would solve this problem but that didn’t work either.
I would appreciate if this could get looked into so I can get Ogden’s Ankh, Aspect Amulet, along with the Verata’s Seared Ring unlocked.
Any chance of this getting fixed? Still 53/54 set one minis even though I have 54/54 unlocked on my account.
I don’t know about OP but I probably know how to fix your problem. See, the Mini Risen Priest of Balthazar was put into the game in a later state but it showed up in the set 1 collection for some reason. It upped the count to 55 minis and made for an easier achievement back then. But with the introduction of the new minipet system this was fixed so that the 55th mini, the Mini Risen Priest of Balthazar does not count towards the set achievement meaning that if you had been missing the original 54th mini and replaced it with the new 55th one you would be at 53 minis with the new system.
There is an issue with all 3 mini sets not just set 1 so this is not exactly a fix.
The guy I quoted said he had bugged set 1 minis, which is why this could be helpful to him.

This only happens for me if I select a new finisher/min and I don’t tab out. If I do tab out it stays. Same with how dyes do not save unless you tab out when you’re done.
Just gave the Grawl the 3rd food item and it gave me this collection item! You also get a title and then the collection achievement for another title and the Christmas tree + star of gratitude. You need to collect 6 ornaments (accessories) in chests throughout Tyria. Time for jumping puzzles I guess
Haven’t checked the BL armorsmith for the new BLC weapons, but maybe he has it? Like the one item for the Halloween one, that unlocked/showed the second Halloweens Set of stuff.
Checked and I’m afraid that it’s not for that. The Wintersday weapons unlock like the rest of the BLTC weapons (except for those special Halloween ones)

It is account bound, unlike the two other collection starters and there is still no information on how to get it.
I haven’t seen this being mentioned in any recent post, so I’ll just put it here. In the Halloween patch notes this is written:
“Clarification: An error in previous release notes regarding the Permanent Hair Stylist Contract has been amended. The Permanent Hair Stylist Contract continues to be a very rare drop from the Black Lion Chest.”

Double mini collector achievements are intended, as one version is for the old and outdated bank collection. The problem is that the old ones should have been moved to the “Retired” achievements tab.

Non sellable/salvageable gear is horrible. You should not give any one items that break the rules of all other items, and especially not new players.
You should be familiarizing them with game mechanics, not these weird exceptions that dont follow the rules.
What if people put a rune in one of these items? they are completely wasted.I really think you should eliminate this whole class of items, or make it into its own item class which doesnt accept upgrades, and reccomends throwing destroying it on use.
short version, dont give, or encourage new players to get any type of gear that is not salvageable/npcable. It causes more confusion at some point.
I know where you’re coming from but that will never be a problem. First, a new player won’t buy a salvage kit that is more worth than their low level rune. If they do buy the cheapest, there’s a low chance to even recover upgrades. Still, I understand when it comes to the WvW exotic gear.
Some minis can only be seen in your wardrobe until you unlock them

Do yourself a favor and check out the wiki page. For optimal effect, highlight the words “unlocked” and “information”
You’ll see that gathering, salvaging, crafting, WvW etc is not level restricted. Instead the level up screen gives you information about said feature at a certain level.

I have yet to see my Warden fail on normal melee mobs post patch. I Don’t think I have tried summoned creatures like Tequatl’s Fingers yet, but I only remember Warden failing on those pre-patch.
The Risen Priest of Balthazar was never meant to count for set 1 since it is an account bound mini found in the Lost Orrian Jewelry Boxes. So pre-patch you could get the final 54/54 of set 1 minis even though there were 55, this one being the 55th which was not supposed to be there and resulted in people skipping the Mini Jack-a-lop for an easy full completion.
As long as I can MF all those duplicate account/soul bound ones to something different I’ll be happy. Wish those orrian boxes gave something besides JUST that one mini but whatever.
They give lodestones, karma consumables and obsidian shards too
lvl 1-15 is faster, skills takes a bit longer to unlock, but the locking of WvW, sPvP and all the other stuff is only until you reach a certain level and does only apply to totally new players. When it’s unlocked, it’s unlocked for the next characters at lvl 1.

3. I hadn’t done any new Story missions when I made it into a Pet Seedling. I have now done all the story missions.
It finally happened…..the tonic dropped! Took me like 5-6 months of fractal 49/50 but it was worth it!

Single items, such as the Fuzzy Hats and Scarlet’s Spaulders, will be unlocked for your entire account and usable with any armor weight.

Really guys? If you read closely at the reward prices, you’ll see that you can buy the Gift of Heroes for 200 tickets OR 250 badges of honor. So you only have to spend 100 tickets to get one weapon if you buy it with badges, meaning everyone can get 2 weapons.
