For anyone in my situation, I’ll give a quick status report. I ran another 26(my 5th one) and got nothing. I popped on some infusions and ran to do my first 38. I had approximately 130% mf and got a shard from my second fractal, the thaumanova reactor. So thanks to everyone who answered my question, and to others who are like me, keep at it in 30+ fractals and you’ll get the drop soon!
I’ve just ran like 4 26’s and gotten nothing. So does the drop rate go up as you advance in level?
Hi all,
Just a quick question, I have up until the beta fractal capacitor backpiece and I’m going for the shiny one. My question is, how long did it take to get the shard of crystallized mists essence? I have the ectos, and the relics and I only need that one drop to make the backpiece so I want to get an idea how many fotms(20+) it will take to drop. Are there any levels they seem to drop particularly often? Any tips? Thanks in advance for any responses!

Could I grab an inv? I usually pug most dungeons, but recently I’ve noticed arah pugs are the worst and I really want a group of people who know what to do.
EDIT: I know paths 1, 2, and 3. I have a full zerk ascended warrior and zerker guardian
Hi Everyone!
The Warriors Of Nothrad are recruiting! We’re a really small guild looking to expand and looking for active members to help us out! We’re mainly a PvE dungeon group aiming to speedrun dungeons and help people learn the ropes. Tired of pick-up groups? Tired of wiping? This is the guild for you! We are based on JQ and are only 8 at the moment, but we are nice people and looking to get more! PM g saltar.4972 for an invite!
Hi, after getting shafted by continuous 4v5s in solo queue and terrible PuGs, I’ve appealed to this forum in hopes of finding a guild that does a bit of both speedrunning dungeons and doing team queue pvp. I want a guild that is willing to teach new dungeons, and can speedrun old dungeons as well. I would also like if that guild could PvP, but that’s more of a side thing. I’m based in JQ and willing to learn!
Nice
On a serious note though(disregard the above build since it’s obviously meant to troll) depending on your play style you could opt for something like s/s lb for condi damage or maybe hammer gs. Look at Ana tarcis’ builds and try them out! I’d recommend those or defektive’s builds but it’s really up to you to look around for builds tailored to your style. Good luck and welcome to our community
I really enjoyed watching the video if you want some advice though(you’re a better warrior than I am, but still) I feel that when you were fighting the thieves, you weren’t aggressive enough when they got low. Like, when you got the thieves down to around 50% and you still had a good 75% I felt like you should have went for it rather than run back and regroup and heal. But still, enjoyed the video, love the build
Hey guys, I’m in a similar situation with the OP. I also play on JQ and am also looking for a semi-casual guild so I don’t have to waste time with PuGs. I also want to get to know more people in the game so if either of you fine guild recruiters would want another member, who’s semi-experienced and willing to learn, send an invite my way
Yeah, see if you can get a friend in another server, make them use a guard, and attack them after they use the “Save Yourselves!” shout. You’ll notice it then
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! I’m afraid of the lag and the massive economy problems in gw2 plus I’m sorta busy atm so I can’t really break it down. Thanks so much for doing this! Lol I have barely enough bloodstone and empyreal. Time to farm temples big time :P
Since those trinkets are already “ascended” won’t ascended jeweler be released last? Also, is that one infusion slot really worth it? I guess it is for those fotm craze people
Heyy. I’m in a similar situation as OP. I just got into Arah and I’ve become addicted with fighting Lupicus. I have an 80 zerker warrior and an 80 anchor guard and I’d be willing to run Arah with you guys! I can only play on weekends though. I’m willing to listen to strategies and I’m on JQ.

Don’t even use it :P Keep another weapon with a good adrenaline burst skill on swap and if you feel the need to expend adrenaline, swap and go. The GS burst skill is notorious for being useless. We already have almost perm fury, and even our traits reward us for storing up adrenaline, so using the f1 skill on GS is almost pointless.
Guys stop ragging on him lol he said it was a “Warrior DPS build in action-14 second kill”, he didn’t say anything about “optimal rotations” or anything. He was just showing off the warrior dps build being used on monsters o.o
Thanks for the replies guys! So to make sure, 30/25 will still be better even with 91% crit and bloodlust stacking? (Signet of Fury too)
I know that 30/25/00/15 is the most “optimal” dps build, so just as a disclaimer, don’t tell me that :P anyway, since I’m pretty casual, I didn’t run that build when empower allies was changed because I felt like I lost too much crit . Now, running in pugs doesn’t allow the greatest precision stacking, so I felt like absolute crap running 30/25/00/15. So I chose to run a 30/10/00/30 with heightened focus and deep strikes, ramping up my crit % to 99 or 101 with full signets(doesn’t happen with SoR on cd though which is why it’s usually 99). I was comfortable with it, but then I remembered I missed the might-stacking of forceful greatsword. So now my question is, will my 30/10/00/30 be better than the 30/25/00/15 if I still stack bloodlust instead of precision? My crit % goes to 91 with full everything (except food b/c it varies for me) on 30/25/00/15. So will 30/25/00/15 be better even if I lose 8 crit chance? Could someone math it out or anything? I don’t know how to Thanks in advance!
EDIT: tl;dr Will my 30/10/00/30 with heightened focus and deep strikes(2 signets always on) have higher dps than 30/25/00/15 when stacking bloodlust?(not stacking precision because the inconsistency makes my damage drop too much with 30/25/00/15)
(edited by Qoltera.3042)
Doesn’t Mage crusher technically take bonus damage too? Isn’t it one of the squishiest armored monsters? Well anyway I wouldn’t know :P that’s what I’ve heard. Sitting at 44k on old tom >.>
Here’s a picture of my warrior with his current sword.
The second one is with volcanus. I have a bunch of side shots but I don’t think those matter much. Thanks for the replies so far guys!
IIRC if you infuse something, the infusion slot is reset, so I think you’ll lose your mighty infusion (what a waste)
I have a Vision of the Mists on my warrior, but my warrior is dark fire themed, and I feel like the Vision doesn’t fit well. Should I replace my Vision of the Mists greatsword with a Volcanus? I have almost enough money to pretty much make it, but I’m not sure if it’s really worth it. Am I better saving for the long run and getting a legendary? (I’ve checked everything out, I can get Volcanus MUCH MUCH sooner than say Twilight)

O.O These guys have already run the numbers a bajillion times…should we call them out to once again show you the math?brazil didnt math anything out, he cant even divide 25/2.
as for nike, he does his rotation incorrect, which equates to him getting wonky auto attacks in where he should not be. he directly contradicts himself aswell in this video. he states empower allies was a 5-7% dps boost and without it, that is lost. in his previous video he states 30 25 0 0 15 (which has not been changed at all) had a total of around 7% dps less than 30 0 0 10 30. therefore without it the best 30 25 0 0 15 can do is equal the same dps before taking into account the higher RNG base of the build, as well as the fact that empower or rending strikes can be taken in 30 10 0 030 or 30 0 0 10 30 in order to increase the DPS beyond the maximum of 30 25 0 0 15. yes they are wrong. If you want to say im wrong all I have done is quote these two so by that logic you disprove their credibility.
Ouch. Just going to stop here. Please leave this poor fellow alone, he clearly doesn’t want to change his mind. Just wondering though, would that mean all the elitist guilds have worse mathematical abilities than you? I’m going to assume that SOMEONE out there has done the math correctly and that there will be a video or a forum post where 30/25 is worse than 30/10 or 30/0 o.o be right back while I search for them.

Would you run knight’s with hammer?
So…I’m in the process of leveling my guardian. I wanted to know , is there a set-up with decent damage and decent survivability and decent support? It’s not that I can’t survive…I main a full zerk warrior and do fine. It’s just that I wanted a change of pace, so that I wouldn’t be playing basically my warrior but with blue skills. If I were to gear up my guard full zerk I feel like there’d be no difference between my warrior and guard, but if I gear my guard up full tank and support, and play for too long, I’ll suck when I go back to my warrior. So my question is, is there a build that deals enough damage and is squishy enough to force me to continue to dodge but not so squishy that I get one hit like my warrior? Thanks in advance for any replies!
Well, I don’t want to get in a fight with anyone, so anybody who quotes my post and takes it apart will be promptly ignored LOL but here are my two cents:
DPS is defined as “damage per second” therefore, it is subjective. Hitting all 200 glancing blows still is DPS, just not great DPS. Therefore when I read your post OP, I assume it means you want SOME DPS <— “some” meaning not maximum possible NOR the damage of a wet noodle. Therefore, if you wanted to balance AH with “some” DPS you would want to look at the fantastic builds up on top. But, don’t expect to hit max DPS with AH, because simply put, it’s just not a DPS based trait. I personally plan to run something along the lines of 0/10/30/30/0 with mostly knight and zerk armor. It has AH, and minor support with some crit and crit damage. But remember, play how you want to. Elitists may argue that “playing how you want to” will impact others, therefore in PvE it will mess people up. But remember, the people in your pug chose to pug, they didn’t put up the “zerk only” tag either, therefore you can do whatever you want. It’s not like elitists pug often either, so by running a slightly more survival based build, it’s not really messing up everyone else since it’s not a speed run nor was DPS requested specifically. On the other hand, if you are in a pre-made group…

Warrior isn’t the only class with op builds. I agree with them being strong, but what about those blind spamming guardians or stealth spamming thieves or spirit rangers or bunker engis? This game is as closed to being balanced as it can be but even so op builds will exist
At first when I ran mace/shield gs and skullcracked everyone I thought threads like this were l2p issues and were just lazy people raging. Then…I switched over to gs/ax shield evis based build…and now i feel the pain whenever I take a 3s stun and 100B to the face.. BUMPAROO
Numbers are perfect for WvW but honestly, for PvE that’s way too much armor. Getting around 3.2k would already be the max and even then you won’t help out your group. Things that don’t hit hard still won’t with 400 armor but things that 1 hit will still 1 hit with that armor. Could I see that build anyway?
I think what might have happened is that it stacks the bleeds earlier, but the rest of the hits lag behind a bit. When I flurried someone I noticed around 14 stacks of bleed after only about 4 hits so maybe you got the bleeds before the hit and then the target moved out of range or something, I would actually like to see an answer to this and I don’t know how valid mine is :P
That does happen, but then at that point it’s a l2p issue right? It’s not op, just that the person didn’t know how to counter it any advice? I’d really like to just keep this build instead of mace so do you guys think its solid?
same concept i use but with different traits and instead of shield i use warhorn.
i think GS/S is even more superior than mace build not just for the longer lockdown but also for the high mobility you get, it is very dangerous if played right basically its Eviscerate/Skull crack on wheels.
That’s true I just feel better about this build because I feel like it has a higher skill cap, since landing the skills is a little harder. I don’t feel as guilty when I beat people up anymore since during immobilize, they can fight back and since it counts as a condition, it can be cleared off easier, so I won’t get any more “oh you have an op build” excuses when I beat the same person 3 times in a row
After hearing so many complaints about how mace+shield/GS was really overpowered and should be nerfed, I realized the odds of that happening was very large. Since I ran a variant of that build, I decided to come up with an alternate build that ran with a similar play-style but wasn’t too complaint->nerf worthy. Here it is:
http://intothemists.com/guides/1142-alternate_lockdown_build
The point of the build is to land the adrenaline skill of the sword, flurry, which, with everything added in, is 4.5 seconds of immobilize. That’s plenty of time to switch to greatsword and use hundred blades. But, if the enemy manages to clear off immobilize, completing the flurry adds tons of bleed damage anyway. The sword is used to keep close to the enemy and bleed them, as well as deliver flurry, and if necessary near the end of a battle, final thrust. The shield can be a block and a stun that leads up to final thrust or flurry. The greatsword is used to chase, run, and dps. There should be a little more info on the build page. Anyway, please comment, criticize, I’m totally fine with crazy brutal harsh criticism but lets just focus on the build. What do you think? Is it less complaint worthy but still gets the job done? Thanks!

Does the dark cloud provide an afterimage? Or is it like cobalt and jotun gs where the effect is only around the sword?
Can ascended trinkets be salvaged? Could I black lion salvage kit my ring and get the infusion back? Sorry if this question has been asked, can’t seem to find the answer. Thanks!
Thanks for the replies so far! I understand that I should change my sigils out but I feel like I lose too much crit chance. I can’t maintain perception stacks so I want to have my base crit as high as possible, I also want to avoid consumables because i prefer not to run with food(a bet with a friend) so is there a solution where I can run 30/00/10/30 without losing too much crit? I ran a few dungeons with groups that supplied decent might stacks but still felt 30/00/10/30 was subpar in terms of damage :/
Since I know how it feels to post a thread and get no responses even though there are plenty of views, I’ll make my view useful. This is all my opinion and from experience so I don’t know how useful it will be. CoF farm isn’t the only thing berserker gear is good for. If you are in PvE, you can still stay berserk. You could slip in a few knight or soldier pieces to help with survivability but if you are a good dodger, then just stay full zerk. Try running a GS/Axe + Shield like I am. It allows the mobility (and hundred blades) of the GS and the defense of the shield. Try running either 30/25/00/15(solo play) or 30/00/10/30(organized group dungeons) for your traits. The thing is, WvW tends to involve mass zerging so having a more survivable build is very helpful. I can’t really off the top of my head think of a good WvW AND PvE build involving berserker, so I think what you could do if you want to keep the armor the same is to run full zerker armor and find a tanky build(only one I can remember is like 30/0/20/20/0 or something). The berserker armor will even out with the build and you’ll be able to do decent damage and survive okay. The only things you might want to switch out besides traits between WvW and PvE are weapons. Using hammer, rifle or longbow are all really helpful in WvW in my opinion so perhaps stock a spare of those weapons? I hope this helped!
D…D…Do you have different modifiers or something? How do you have 4.6k attack? How can you hit that high in wvw with hb O.O is this even possible
OP: Not to join in the flame war, and nothing personal, but I think he isn’t really that overpowered. Although he is healing for insane amounts, he isn’t really hitting you for anything either. It’s your fault for not being able to burst him down quick enough. If he heals 1k, and you hit 1k average, you shouldn’t be complaining about not being able to kill him. Besides, it’s not overpowered that you have almost infinite dodges and evades?
Well, the berserker builds are 30/25/00/15 or 30/10/00/30 now, and quickness is still used a bunch. I personally ran 30/25/00/15 for a while before recently switching over to the latter. Still full berserker. But in PvP the mace/shield + GS stun meta is much more popular. Mace with sigil of paralyzation and skullcrack→ GS Hundred Blades
Charr or Norn if you want to look big and fat, sylvari or human if you want to be smaller and more proportional.
Hi, so I recently changed from 30/25/0/0/15 to 30/0/0/10/30 because a friend was telling me that 30/0/0/10/30 is better even in solo roaming and pug dungeons due to the support and higher might to damage ratio. So I noticed, my crit % chance went down. I wanted to raise it higher, so I was wondering if it’s viable to switch 5 of my ruby orbs to 5 eagle runes, so to raise my crit chance. But then I realized, my banner of discipline would raise it to above 100%. So would it be possible to switch my sigil of accuracy to sigil of force to lower my crit down? Would this maximize my dps with what I have? Or should I still stick with my 6 ruby orbs? Thanks for any answers! EDIT: Question is should I replace 5 ruby orbs with eagle runes and use sigil of force on gs to lower crit chance or stick with ruby orbs.

I personally think Rampage should have some sort of passive 1 every 5 seconds anti-stun. Come on, its a big red juggernaut transformation…how can a 3 foot tall elf smack it with a tiny toothpick and inflict a 3 second stun?
Wow T.T I really envy your son, being able to play videogames with his dad. My dad thinks videogames are drugs and should be avoided But anyway, I would recommend using GS and ax/something. Later on, closer to 80, you can try ax/shield since it provides survivability, which, if you run GS with, should help. Definitely focus on the strength tree and maybe arms tree for traits, since power is the most powerful stat at lower levels. Rifle is really a good alternative at lower levels since it offers heavy 1v1 ranged damage and even a melee move
I think using whirling axe would be a good idea actually, and you can try to focus more on axe damage (that discipline trait that boosts axes) instead of hammer since hammer isn’t really the damage dealing factor here.
Hehe they stopped kiting when I skullcracked them >:) I had 4 seconds of stunned no kiting with them with my greatsword and they shut up xD but in all seriousness, I agree, some extra range or more gapcloser options would definitely benefit us.
Honestly, warrior hammer will never be as satisfying as Guardian hammer 4. Golfing, anyone?
I like the way you think >:)
OP: Is there really perma stun? Bringing even one stunbreaker can totally break the warrior’s rhythm. I’m telling you, its hilarious to stunbreak and evade back and watch the warrior use like 3 hammer skills in a row xD. Besides, by stunning, it seems they sacrifice high damage. I went against a warrior who used hammers, and I took around 7s of stun to the face, and my health only went down by like 1/8 while the warrior was hammering away at me :P
What traits? I’m pretty sure the build is possible, but you’ll just lots of haters getting mad at you for "100BendurepainAHHhidebehindfriendsrange* (which I’m sure you won’t be doing anyway). 30/20/00/20 seems like a pretty standard berserker build so you could pull it off.
The build seems pretty solid overall, but speaking from personal opinion, having dueled many hammer/mace warriors, its hard to kill your opponent with this sort of thing. You skullcrack them, clear up conditions, what then? Hit a 100% crit hammer hit and keep them cc’ed down? Eventually, all your skills will be on cooldown and you have to rely on just staying alive. Then again, it does depend on your rotation, so I guess ignore what I just said. Anyway, it seems bunker is becoming more popular so you could try putting some points in tactics to get some vitality and boon duration, and using empowered or empower allies to get some damage. This is all from personal experience and opinion so future posters don’t rage at me or anything for saying things that are “wrong”
