Witch’s ‘hat is being kittened into Witch’kitten lol. Makes talking about the new hat rather entertaining!
(edited by RShara.3265)
Congrats! It ook me ~6 hrs on and off all weekend to get to the top. The feeling, it is good!
And I still haven’t made it to the top either lol
Is the air passive an exploit? I’m using it and it makes things A little easier, but not that much easier. I still have to jump and stuff. And it’s a little harder in some places because of the maneuvering….
Same thing on Tarnished Coast. Gerrvid dead in a corner, Fleshgrazer immune, all braziers lit.
We tried letting Fleshgrazer blow out all the braziers, everyone left, relit them, nadda.
Yes, thank you. But in the same rough region and others have had it respawn. So thanks.
2 server resets and 48 hours later, none of the Ori nodes I mined on Monday afternoon have respawned in Cursed Shore for me or my husband. Has anyone else noticed this?
I do way better at Shelter’s Gate due to the non-invulnerable mobs there. The bots always got the hits in first and killed the mobs before I could even see them at Penitent, so I hope this actually makes it easier to get hits in.
Branwin, as I said, I can’t help with the equippage thing—I don’t know if it’s a bug or what, as it hasn’t happened to me. But the part of your post about not finding anything I was trying to help with.
Don’t let some unpleasant folks get the best of you. Smile!
Can’t help with the equippage problem, but for using the meter—you have to use the right setting, and then look around really fast. I think the “Suspcious Locations” are only visible for about 15 seconds or so? And if you’re not right next to the ghost for the books, they’re easy to miss.
Also, you only use a candy corn when you equip it. Using the charges doesn’t use a candy corn.
Not all casuals , working folk , etc agree with the gimme now gimme all crowd.

Walk into a casino with $50, dunk it all in the slot machines.
How much will you walk out with?
Yeah….
Is one of the items equipped? In one of the updates a while back, they disabled transmuting equipped items to prevent a bug. Just unequip first, then transmute, and re-equip.
If your idea of fun is to get the super-unique, hard to find, requires lots of time skins, then okay, I guess it’s ruined for you for not being able to play 18 hours a day.
But I can still smash a pumpkin in your face and laugh my rear off about it (that’s called fun)!
It’s an analogy. I know it’s a video game….
I could also say, “I can’t afford that shiny new iPhone 5! I want it! They should set the price lower so that I can get it without having to pay so much, right now!”
No, they said no grind for top level gear, grind for aesthetics only. Which is exactly what these are.
FYI—I only get to play maybe 2-3 hours a day max, between job and family and health issues. There’s no chance I’ll ever get a Legendary. But that’s because I don’t have the time and resources to get one. That’s fine. I get what I can work for. Fair deal.
It’s like….I don’t want to work 40 hours of overtime every week, but I want to get paid for 80 hours of work anyway!
Isn’t the point of Legendaries as a reward for a lot of time and dedication spent? If anyone could get them easily in a few weeks of 1-2 hrs a day of playing, then it wouldn’t be very Legendary, would it?
omg it’s stuck at 99%, 1 file remaining, 0kbs!
Gah 0 kb/s gogogogogogogogo
70% and 490?MB so farrrrrr
Over 200MB so far!
Going going going!
Connection errors! cries
Before everyone gets a little too excited, it doesn’t sound like this is coming in one big update, but as updates over some amount of time. Releasing all of that at once would probably result in a bunch of unpleasant bugs, so a timed release would make a lot more sense.
I think purging all of the buy orders that can’t be filled because they’re below vendor price would be good.
The sell listings at 1c above vendor price would be nice too, but I don’t expect that one to happen.
But if you open the false chest, that triggers the splendid chest to open as well, so if you want the better loot, don’t open the normal chest!
Make sure you are clicking on the cattlepult (you have INTERACT instead of TALK) instead of the NPC. The NPC’s content is disabled but the cattlepult works.
The space to click on the cattlepult is really narrow, so look closely, gl!
Hey, knocking the TP guy closer to the crafting tables in LA would be a good thing!
Yeah that was going to be my suggestion—make sure the items you are trying to transmute are not equipped. Unequip them, then try the appropriate transmutation stone and see if that works.
Details of what you’re trying and how it fails, and which stones you’re using?
The spot where you have to stand is relatively narrow; there are lots of spots that appear to be farther from the NPC than the cattlepult, but will still give you the error message. Make sure you get the “interact” message.
I’ve been there before, during, and after the harpy event and have always been able to use it to get to the Vista. (I haven’t actually tried while the cows were being fired, though.)
^^
Well I can say I don’t use any exploits (accusatory much?) and I’ve got a total of at least 50g at this point, in gold/ectos/mats etc.
I don’t think I do anything special and I only play a few hours a day (though I played hard the first 2 weeks lol).
I play various events in Orr a lot, and the big event chains like Grenth and Lyssa and Dwayna. A little bit of MF. And going and doing map completion gives really nice rewards.
It’s also knowing which crafting mats are valuable at any given time, and knowing where to find them.
I would really appreciate feedback on what and WHEN you will be doing something about the DR you placed on Orichalcum nodes.
You stated that it was put in place because of people switching servers and abusing overflow servers to farm them. So why penalize the legit people doing it that have NEVER switched a server or been in an overflow on their server in Orr? Put a no gather restriction on any character that has switched servers for 24 hours … problem solved.
Before the white knights show up … this isn’t a timer issue. I have 4 level 80 characters and it is account based not character based. I have had the nodes broken by the time I get to my third character before so it is obviously being limited per account not just by the clock.
Can I get a quote or link to where they state this?
www.gw2cartographers.com should show you all the POI, Vistas, WP, Hearts for all PvE maps.
Clicking on the NPC will always give you the “disabled” message. You need to interact DIRECTLY with the cattlepult and it will work.
Hmm I think I’ve had this happen to me a few times too.
After I’ve killed a mob and there’s not another one nearby and none aggro’d to me, the game would behave as if I were still in combat.
Usually if I can get far enough away from the combat location, the aggro will finally release and I’ll start recharging.
Some cooking collectibles are account bound
Maybe someone bought the one for 2.5g, and the next one available was 3.22 gold? I’ve had that happen a few times.
Pretty sure it just means you need to unequip the armor before transmuting it.
There are literally thousands, perhaps hundreds of thousands of things that can be sold in the TP, so I don’t know that making a list is feasible.
Anything that isn’t soulbound or account bound is sellable, basically.
The collectibles bank is really just an “Extra” thing that I’m just glad exists AT ALL.
However, I would love it if when I was crafting, it would look to the collectibles AND the regular bank for materials (since we need to use the regular bank to store all the non-collectible items). I could deal with that.
Or .. just add everything to collectibles. That works too.
It does do this. Your collectibles tab, inventory, and bank stash’s items all appear and you can craft from any of them.
(edit-lol stash and items gets kittened out)
It’s worth noting, however, that for sufficiently cheap items sold in bulk, 1c over vendor will still give you a profit. (Basically, if the vendor price is 5c or less, which it is for a lot of raw materials.)
Um how does that work after the fees?
(edited by RShara.3265)
I find that salvaging everything will rob you of money.
Sell the grey, white and blue items if you don’t need the materials. Green items, only salvage if you want the enhancement. Yellow, sell on the TP if you don’t need it or use in the Mystic Forge. Otherwise sell it to a vendor if its not TP profitable. Salvage items are good for salvaging. There are plenty of gathering points on the map and goodie bags that drop from enemies that you don’t really need to salvage everything you get.
I disagree—
Always check the TP before NPC’ing your items. Someone might really really want the item you have and be willing to sell it for profit to you. Make sure to take the 15% into account before you decide.
Whites, if it’s lvl 75+ and chainmail, I salvage to try for ori. Otherwise I sell. I’ve sold lvl 10 acolyte stuff for 30-80c because it can be salvaged into jute (which is only going for 20-someodd c when I checked)
Blues I personally sell too, but you might salvage for crafting mats and sell those if you want.
Sell greens worth over 1.5s. Under 1.5s, if it’s something that might result in a high-demand crafting mat, salvage. If not, sell (or gamble with the mystic forge).
Golds I sell to TP if over 20s. Under 20s I master-salvage for ectos.
Exotics same except 50s+
Edit to add quote, and why can’t I quote until after I reply?

Farm the areas that drop the crafting materials that are in high demand and sell them on the TP
Farm them for 30 minutes till I don’t get any more drops? In that time I farmed with 120% magic find I get 1-2 T6 mats and around 8-10 T5 mats…
No, farm different types of creatures. i.e. Gendarran fields, go from the fishies to the minotaurs to the centaurs, etc
My husband got one on his first dropped key after the update. So mad.
Farm the areas that drop the crafting materials that are in high demand and sell them on the TP
hubby got a permanent merchant in one try
I was (am) SO mad…
The game kicks after 45-60 minutes of inactivity. Not sure if auto-attack counts as inactivity or not though.
I haven’t tried with weapons but I’ve been able to transmute my armor several times as I get better stat items.
