Next time before you try to be smart, at least think about it for a second. I put the screenshots for a reason. And if you really think me or anyone else would miss big fat red border that blocks part of the map then I don’t know what to say to you. I didn’t state anything regarding the size of the map, just put two maps side by side with equal amount of zoom. The picture you put, alone tells absolutely nothing.

But the map you posted is missing a ton of content compared to the actual version that will go live. Where’s the point in posting that as a comparison? OP was complaining about the size and you posted this as a comparison, most people would see that as an argument for OP’s case, which in this case is completely off base.

I was trying to find that screenshot, it looks much bigger than regular maps this way. How are people not realizing we can only see part of the map.

Where’s the fun in not getting to complain about stuff that’s not even real?

Can’t use your own char, heavy FPS spikes, lag, server issues, progress not saved. This is a glorified beta, not a demo.

Wait, so the “impossible” bit is about you not being able to figure out where to go next? How about watching a youtube video? Should be plenty of let’s plays and general walkthroughs out there that would show you exactly what’s up.

Kasmeer is the perfect candidate to become a Mirage. She really needs the boost, and it would put the whole spec into the story in a meaningful way.

Didn’t enjoy S2 as much kitten that’s for sure. Had a lot more fun doing the content and getting the masteries for each episode in this one. It’s all about personal taste anyways.

Just because they won’t spoon-feed you info about every event available doesn’t mean they aren’t going to be there. Why would you even want to know it all already?

I’d be fine with removing checkpoints all together if they would stop making the JPs so freaking vague. I spent more time in the chalice guessing where to go next than I did actually climbing / having fun. Learn from what you did with the new one in siren’s, that is pure perfection.

Was absolutely amazing! The perfect blend of difficulty and total distance. Didn’t even need a solution for this, even if it took some real searching. And that view.. More of these please!

Here’s a problem with this though, this item’s value would depend 100% on wether or not you have a bunch of buddies ingame with the most valuable stuff in their instances, offering “advantages” to those in guilds with a lot of these people compared to those who aren’t.

I have no clue what to tell you other than that I had the exact opposite experience while crafting the HoT axe. All “challenge” collection pieces went smooth, took some time but nothing frustrating. The grindy bit however was absolutely terrible, and pretty much ruined the whole experience. Wish they would focus more on fun tasks and challenges rather than mass-repeating grindy crap, maybe the whole end-game bit would actually be fun and not work.

While I do enjoy the LS episodes, what really excites me is the possibility that we’ll get to see what’s coming next.

I merely ask that they drop the whole multi-leveled maps and just flat out make them much larger in square mileage.

Could be you have to get it from the new zone? I don’t know, just a thought.

Don’t ever, -EVER- lock story content behind daily grinds again. Having to re-do the thaw elixir crap for achievement runs is bad enough, but having to re-do it because I thought it was safe to log out and continue the story the next day is a massive screw-up on your end.

And seriously, enough with the quaggans!! Who keeps thinking these kittened blobs are interesting? The game could do with a lot less cringe and those guys are the main source of it.

Did the quest to brew the elixir yesterday and logged off, came in today to continue only to find it had worn off. Not even a single warning that this is how it works. This has to be the dumbest idea I’ve seen the devs come up with, locking story / achievement progress behind a repetitive grinding task, aren’t we already doing enough grinding in this game already?

We certainly won’t face off with Primordus in a LW chapter.

Only disappointment was that after such an insane long wait, this was all we got. Story was done within an hour, meta was done within 4. Still have that new fractal to try out I guess.

Seriously, why the heck would you put that thing right next to Deposit All Materials? You guys have us write a freaking essay every time we want to delete a rare item and yet this insta-wreck-inventory freakshow is ok? Really?

Grindy if you want anything high-end, not really any way to get anything other than grinding the heck out of content you’ve done over and over again.

Check the event timer site on the gw2 wiki, go to the zone around 30 min before start and at the same time monitor LFG for taxis. That should get you into a full map. Works every time for me.

For someone farming globs and exp for gift of maguuma mastery used in legendaries these are a godsend. The amount of exp rewarded for such a small time spent + the guaranteed rare items are both great.

We already have a bow that shoots freaking ponies..

I love being able to swap to hammer if a boss goes out of reach (like the molten boss fractal where the boss can jump into the knock-back current).

“Now I’m just kittened that I’m denied access because I can’t go full neckbeard status for pve in a game I was told I wouldn’t have to raid in to get the best gear.”

And right you are, you can still get ascended gear which has the exact same stats. Or do you measure “best” by the color of the item name? Why shouldn’t the ones who spend more time have access to something unique? I will never see it but at least I can steadily work my way towards a legendary weapon. That alone takes a crapload of time, so if you are as busy as you say then that should keep you more than occupied.

The “Guild Wars” refers to a series of conflicts between already named human factions. They are not, nor have they ever been a reference to your guild in-game.

The parts of legendary collections that are -not- sad, uninspired, tedious grinds.

It was all going to boil down to “Go grind 30 Deldrimor steel ingots, some spiritwood planks and a metric ton of Amalgalated gems, go immersion!” anyway. That they would leave dungeons completely out of these journeys and replace them with countless grinds was and still is a massive letdown.

They are too busy crafting new items for the gem-store to provide features such as enabling backpacks on select screen. That goes for weapons as well and you know, new legendary weapons.

So is this dropping for anyone at all these days? I’ve had two 2-hour sessions as well as being 40 min into my third, and this piece of **** has not dropped. 29 (!!!) Grawl Paws, still not a freaking drop. Who in the holy name of hell designed this complete disgrace of a collection requirement? Someone should get smacked around hard for this. Fix it!

In terms of pure gameplay I enjoy revenant the best due to the stance switching and overall style of play. In terms of performance I really can’t say much.

Voiced dialogue between the player character and NPCs outside of story missions have never occured for me, I started playing HoT in January.

You’ll eventually have access to 5 legends, you can only have two active and switch between these two at will (with a cooldown).

Depending on how you chose to specc your traits you can make a build where swapping legends on cooldown is beneficial due to boons activating on swap, or you can go for a build where both legends have their strengths (like dps / survival) and swap on demand instead.

Personally I use Assassin / Glint and swap on CD, gaining fury and other boons every time I do.

I respectfully disagree. A lot. There are -so- many things that needs attention before the graphics of a single weapon which quite frankly comes down to personal taste. Catering to YOUR taste towards a single weapon which is made for literally anyone who can be kitten d to work for it is not a very important issue.

First of all, congrats.
Second, I couldn’t agree more on the dungeon bit. I have no clue why they would completely exclude such a source of content from these objectives. They could for instance reduce the “grindyness” by miles if they changed some of the crafting recipes to include items dropped exclusively in dungeons rather than those god kitten ed Deldrimor steel ingots.

Then again, HoT has always looked rushed and unpolished. Putting up tons of iron ores etc as requiremenet probably was just part of taking the “easy route”.

This has never been a problem in GW2, it’s more like a re-specc cost than anything else. No need to re-level.
