Thanks for your feedback.

I always found Guild Wars 2 gave choice, this doesn’t if your in guild that you are in insist you join the squad, and the commander wants to be a ***commander.

It’s not Cat Wars, next we will have batman and robin commander tags.

What would have been better, would be to have Profession Commander Tags.
That would have made more sense.

As it is, my min-map just keeps shoving it in my face.

If you are using MS Edge web browser, you have to force new cashed tiles.

Go settings.
Click: “Choose what to clear” under: clear browsing data.
Select: cashed data and files.
Then press: Clear.

When done refresh you web page.

I had this problem the last time we had new tiles.

recipes API [request]

Anyway you don’t have to make a loop for each id, that is ok sometimes with only few ids, but for a lot of them you have to use “v2/recipes?ids=string of ids” where “string of ids” is a comma separated string of maximum 200 ids. It is very important that your string does not go over 200 ids because it will return an error.
What you have to do is a loop that create a new string of maximum 200 ids, then get those maximum 200 recipes from API:2/recipes. (It is like ?page=number of page?size=200 where 200 is maximum size of items you can get from api in a single request). After that you get all output_item_id from your list and do a similar loop with API:2/items.
Even if API:2/recipes could be optimized adding all the necessary infos directly there, using “?ids=” you get all data needed in few seconds.
I think that if you fix your loop at point 2. you’ll get a substantial boost.

Oh, thanks for the info, I did not know about the 200 limit, I suspected there might be a limit, but was not sure.

I still think it’s name should be included though
Practically everything else that has a name, has the name returned.

Is it possible to have the Recipes actual name returned?

You get the name with API:2/items and “output_item_id”.
In your case:
https://api.guildwars2.com/v2/items/46742 that returns “Lump of Mithrillium”.

I know this.
Also this is the name of the end result of using the recipe. (not the recipe item name)
Also I know its not much of a problem, I could add the word "Recipe: " to it.

But it was a Request, not an issue.

I wanted to keep the number of send/receive to a minimum.

As it is, to get what I want (Create a list of Recipe’s I Have) I would have to:

1. Get ID’s of recipes I have. (v2/account/recipes)

2. Create a coma separated string of ID’s and get the Recipe info. (v2/recipes?ids=string of ids) that didn’t work so:
for next loop for each ID (v2/recipes/id)
a lot of send/receive

3. Now to create a list of recipes I have by name.
Wait for the above to complete(2), another for next loop finding the output of each, then adding "Recipe: " to all results, the number of send/receive is adding up.

If the name was added to the recipe info I would be able to make my list without step 3.

Better still if the end point from: v2/account/recipes was id & name.
Then a list could be created and the recipe info would only be request on selection in the list. Saving the need to make a for next loop to download the info for all recopies at one time.

Looks like this was quietly fixed yesterday. The world IDs show the new links and you can query for all the server matches.

Oh another API that I didn’t realize had been updated.

I see now the API returns stats, for: user selectable stat items.

I decided to update my little application

I found that the API that gives item stats, it is returning “CritDamage” when it should say “Ferocity” for the “user selectable stat items”.

Can someone else check this?

Time to finish off my little app.

Thank you for looking into it Lawton, I think it could be a cache thing.
More tiles are showing as time passes.

Hopefully it will sort its self out over time, and I’ll change my code back when it settles down.

I’m unable to repro. All of the subdomains are configured with the same CloudFront distribution — so they’re all identical in both origin configuration and invalidation. There was some talk the other day about tiles taking an unreasonable amount of time to invalidate at certain EU edge servers but I haven’t been able to repro it.

Do you have an example URL that serves different tile data than tiles.guildwars2.com? i.e. a specific tile. The ones I’ve peeked at are identical between domains.

I’ve left my main app. changed so it works ok, atm.
I have this which I made to get info on the event api.

I have left this configured to use the subdomains.

If you go to the bottom part and enter 1165 (Bloodstone Fen) in Map ID box and click Get map details.

Then zoom in and out of Bloodstone Fen map you should hopefully get what I was getting, which is missing tiles.

you can do it for each floor by changing floor number and clicking the button.

I found floor 1 was the worst. when zoomed in max.
Also the effect is with Stronghold of the faithful.

I have had to change some code to see Bloodstone Fen maps.

Basically I am looking to see when changes have been made to the API’s, what additions, corrections have been made?

I look on: api-cdi/issues
an I see labels on the each issue.

Could you give a bit more info on what the labels mean?
For example does “ready” or “needs deploy” mean they are going to be active the next time we have a game update?

It there any where that indicates when something will be active?

Perhaps we could a Sticky that is updated when an API is added, updated, is imminent.
Something to say, now’s the time for you to go and check your code, you can do this now guys, go to it.

Well at least Thunder Hollow is correct now.

I’m just going to hardcode the newly incorrect ones to the right places. I’m not yet sure what’s spooked them around the map, but catching them in the act is definitely going to help narrow it down a bit.

EDIT: Change is live. Labels coordinates still are a bit off, but the objective coordinates should be correct again.

Those gremlins are so elusive.

My app. only opens information for one map at a time. So it’s not a problem for me.

At the moment only Guild Leaders (Owner / top Rank) can see Guild Authenticated API endpoints.

Some guilds I’m in (sure it would be the same for others) have members in the second to top rank that they would like to have access to the API results, and they don’t want to put them in the owners rank. (obvious reasons)

I just thought it would be a good idea if the top 2 ranks had access to the Authenticated API, or have a rank option to allow a rank to be given access.

Have I missed it some where?

If you only have One Item in your inventory that can be sold in the Black Lion Trading Company.

Open Inventory.
Right-click Item.
Chose: Sell at Trading Post
Sell Instantly.

The Item Remains Listed in Sell Items, of the Black Lion Trading Company.

Does not happen if you have more than one type of Item to sell in your Inventory.

When you’re on the cloud before the first of the three clouds, press 3. Then jump to the first cloud and press three again.

Then jump to the next cloud and press 2,3. Then jump to the final cloud and press 31. It works.

Thanks, I’ll work on it when I get time to get there again, I would have probably have worked it out after some practice if the game didn’t close on me.
I just got Hist that the game closed on me at this point.

Did it seriously take you eight hours just to get to the door?

yes, then it crashed.

It takes timing. No you don’t need six seconds. You just need the flute active when you get there.

Like I say I tested it else where, if you enter the sequence too quickly it doesn’t work.

last time when SAB was here I did it in Normal Mode (Not in Tribulation mode). There are 3 clouds together at the end.
You jump on one play a note, jump to the next play a note, jump to the next play a note. by this time the 1st has returned so you can repeat the sequence with the last three notes.

This was not possible this time I did it in Tribulation mode. more than one cloud was disappearing and none was returning in time.

May be I needed to practice a little bit more so that when you land on a cloud you are not activating two at a time, I don’t know.

Not spending any more time on it until I have calmed down due to the crash.
I know it’s hard, that’s why I put time aside to do it.

I was hoping for someone who had actually done it to answer.
To confirm it can be done, and how they did it.

Not get hear say about last time it was here.

How are you supposed to play the flute in tribulation mode to open the shop?

Spent 8 hours to get there,
several attempts to open the door,
don’t have time to play the flute before the clouds disappear.
If I press the sequence (332331) too quickly it won’t work, I tested it on the mouths that blow, you have to do the sequence slow (take more than 6 seconds).
Then the F-ing Game crashed.
What a waste of 8 hours.

Is there some where else you should stand? other than the clouds?

PS. don’t merge this, I want to find this post again if it gets answered.

What’s with those 2 rocks in Tribulation mode on the right side of the chasm?
(World 1 Zone 1 between Checkpoint 3 to Checkpoint 4)
50 life’s and I still cat get past them, it’s impossible.
They both go off at the same time BEFORE I get to them.
NOT as you pass them.
Is it lag on my side or what?

Finally got past first boss in raid, no map there yet in the Tile service.
The updated ones in game for HoT are much better.

I have managed to solve the problem.

I have all the other legendary Weapon collections part 1 unlocked.

The Dreamer 1: The experimental Short Bow.
One of these collections requires you to talk to Ogden and do some research in the Special Collections.

Love among the Weeds
Hint: Read about the quaggan love potion in the Durmand Priory.

The Dreamer collection was preventing the Nevermore Collection from activating, I guess it only allows one collection event at a time.

Once I had completed the Dreamer Collection piece, the Nevermore collection activated and I was able to do the Nevermore collection Piece.

I AGREE
ALL MERGE ON A BOSS = CRASH

CAN’T DO BOSSES NOW UNLESS I MAKE SURE I DON’T STAND TOO CLOSE TO A CROWD.

OK, new map (late map) less people, lets be calm and see if I get the boss this time.
Oh, it’s Karka Queen btw.
Yes got it, took longer with less people (more enjoyable) but that’s not a problem.
I also crash when every one goes to collect reward at Tequatl, when every one stands at the reward statue (big crown at this point, have to be quick to get my reward before it crash).

32 bit client btw, I lose between 10 and 20 fps with 64 bit client depending on amount of people.
As I normally only have under 30 fps, dropping to 10 fps, totally gets my ***********.
I know 64 bit is Beta
Is there a way to find out when it gets updated what version it’s at?
