woopsies mean surely full zerker, typed on my phone so who knows why i typo’d. anyways yes i was full zerker

i was surely full bunker, hard to tell if he was bunker since warrior eclipses any other class in terms of dmg and survivability.

mesmer isnt just bad in pvp, in pve we have become veil bots and portal bots. It kinda hurts knowing that you are batman’s utility belt without batman…. in other words a tool

It’s a shame where our class is in the current state of the game. The only reason I play he is it mesmer, it’s so unique and I have never found a game with such a cool class. Albeit I get upset with some f the changes made I try my best to to cross the line and give us a bad rep. Also! My brothers, never forget to bow after a fight, it’s the gentleman thing to do

Hmm these are all good ideas, however I have another pressing issue. I specced up for shatter using the typical build, and I had a warrior let me just hit him without him retaliating. I used the daze and mind wrack but the combo only took him to 75% hp from 100% I doubt I did anything wrong since that’s standard shatter rotation. Did shatter get nerfed as well at some point in that last few months?

I’ll sum it up like this: ANet doesn’t cater to their player basis. If I walk into a store and inform the manager that a certain fruit stand only has rotten fruit he won’t tell me " sorry, no one ever buys that fruit so we thought we’d just be cheap and buy rotten fruit since we are required to sell it." Unfortunately, ANet thinks in this exact manner, " Hardly anyone plays mesmer, we are required to balance things occasionally, let’s just Nerf them since hardly anyone will feel the impact." Sorry to put it this way, but prove me wrong ANet, I dare you to try…

Don’t play mesmer. Rip sword, at least it was quick and you didn’t suffer

Fay put this together and it really has helped me out, I believe he/she keeps it up to date. Only issue might be if a build uses a sword main hand. The passing of the sword main hand hit us quick, it hit us hard.

Once the death of our beloved friend the sword, I have picked up scepter. Right now I’m doing a basic PU Condi with Staff/Sc Tc. Does the scepter work in any other builds? Also how to shatter now ? I though combo used iLeap :O

Too bad warriors get 26000 hp 3000 toughness 2300 power 50% crit and 170% c.dmg in pvp. These stats are too low, pls buff… Ohh wait these stars make warrior a “lick my keyboard to win matches” class. The only negative I see in them is that a class that require no thinking should only entertain a simpleton. I get bored of pressing 1-5 in a monotonous combo after about a minute. No idea how you warriors manage to score so high on the boards, but props to ya

This post would be so much better if people who didn’t play mesmer (people who have no idea how underpowered our class is in most situations) weren’t making fools f themselves by saying this “fix” is a fix

I play too much hot join so I’m considering practicing wth a team for tPvP. I’m ised to playing a support role in most MMO’s and while gw2 does have diffinitive roles I noticed I like support guard. Long story short: does it work, how to play if, link to build if you please

i have a quick question, does the bow actually heal? It says it rains down healing arrows, but i have yet to catch a glimpse of healing and the tooltip doesnt mention how much it heals for or if its healing scales with healing power :O

im just going to point out you have to be some kind of skilled as hell person to play shatter and NOT die. Condi is crap because ppl walk away sneering at condi mesmer and phan mesmer loses 1—% dps vs stealth or if people kill phans. Our only “real” damage thzat you might be referring to is shatter and even then it takes practice to prefect. Maybe im just bad (which I am) but not dying on a shatter build isnt by any stretch easy. Mesmer might be annoying as hell to deal with, but we’re far from “OP”

I call it my “Zealot’s Falme” build

I went with those traits as they allow for heavy damage on on burning foes. The reason we dont take any crit boosters besides celestial is because the 15% from one handed and the 20% from meditations. I also ended up swapping shield with scepter instead of sword since the shield creates distance which isnt needed as much with sword as it is with scepter. Lemme know what you guys think!

That’s a shame, I got the really cool flaming scepter that’s the size of a staff and love it’s look! I also find that the scepter skills are quite unique and fun to play around with. I still have 2 questions though:
1) Does anyone know a build that works well with scepter for bunker or DPS ( I thried jax’ builds and they seem a bit different from my taste)
2) Sometimes when I use the scepter 3 people are still moving around, is this a glitch or does the skill for some reason not immobilize like it says it does?

So I’ve recently started using the scepter and it’s more fun than I had anticipated. Anyways I was looking for a pvp build using the scepter and preferably not using a GS at all ( I think it’s over used ) also what is scepter good with and is it only for DPS? Lastly does scepter do well in pve?

I really like the feel of hammer and sword as board, anyways I was looking for an sPvP build to clarify, sorry for not being more clear

I tried making one, but I have such little experience with guardian that it was a massive flop. Anyways that being said lemme get straight to it: I was wondering if one of you kind cohorts could link me a build for hammer/ sword&shield. Thanks in advance! :^)

So I was messing around with the idea of interrupt and bunkering and came up with this little thing. I know the stats aren’t zerker but I’ve actually managed to kill quite a few people including hammer warrior ( the kitten bane of my existence along with burst thieves) by using this build. I went with mantra of healing for menders purity combo so I have nice condi removal. Toughness while channeling is for if you need to recast heal in a fight ( you get supa tanky using this) and blade training for kicks and giggles. PU is for survivability along with bountiful interruption and arcane thievery. I also picked up the daze mantra for another 3 interrupts giving me a larger window of opportunity to gain buffs and kitten people off. I considered dropping AT for blink but I have to be honest and at that AT has helped me kill more warriors than I ever thought I would ( stealing 25 stacks of might is too darn broked) anyways lemme know what you think

Put up a TLDR b/c that’s a ain’t wall of text, I’m guessing you need something along the lines of survivability? For survivability should use a bunker build and damage should look into Osi’s build and maybe tweak. Just my input.

Honestly I believe if you success take someone’s build and make it your own. Learn to play to yur strengths AND learn to use your weaknesses in your favor. I think people that think their build is unique are F.O.S. there are countless mesmer players so the chance that your build is a snowflake is astronomically small. As for me I use a bunker build using mantra of healing and arcane thievery and use clone to apply conditions with my staff. Shattering them when I get low for upwards of 4k health. Would post my build but sadly I don’t have it memorized. Best of luck to you sir!

I’m a low level warrior looking for a samurai or crusader build. What I mean by samurai is duel swords build focused on crit and mitigation or dodging. Possibly coupled with massive APS (attacks per second as opposed to damage for second). The second build I’m interested in is a crusader style build. One that focuses on using banners as weapons for melds combat. Not auite sure if all of your utility’s can be banners, but if they can I’m assuming that by the time you cycle through the cd on the first one should be up again. Wondering if anyone has thought this through. I don’t care how impractical it it since limitations breed creativity. Thanks in advance!

I’m not an expert but I’d say to with guard, they have far more healing and defense. Their offense isn’t half bad with smite skill either. But I don’t have hardly any PvE experience with them.

Me: Gs/MHS and Shield. No warrior should be without one sword. That’s just my opinion and the shield is awesome for mitigation!

As long as you have a staff as one of your weapons you should be fine. My mesmers only lv 43 an the only lvling problem I have is with dungeons when I get focused… Then again that’s a party issue not mesmer issue.

I find it very difficult to practice with my guild right now without tourneys. I’m really looking forward to doing some one on one since I have the most sPvP experience in my guild. Only problem I’ve had is that when I go to empty servers and we start some people join. This wouldn’t be a problem if they just left or waited their turn to duel, but they say they want “points.” Not ranting, just trying to give the revs an idea of what people are looking for in terms of guild only practice. So I just made my first warrior today. Hey a short, bulky, black Asura with an Afro. (Awesome right?) That aside, I was wondering if anyone had any tips for me regarding how to best manage fights and what weapons are ideal in terms of doing burst then going defensive till CDs are off.
