Haha, yep. It’s not as relevant with GW as it is with other games but you forgot that; Anyone who is better at a game than be is an elitist and anyone who isn’t as good is a bad.
I can only asume it’s to encourage people to try out the free server transfers because other servers are camping them on the one you are on now. Sneaky anet, very sneaky… tipshat
Seriously though, I would say because the achievement if for exploring the world of guildwars and the pvp areas happen to reside within said world.
I recall there being complaints about the rewards for completing the personal story and there was talk it would be improved in qaulity or changed. I can’t seem to find anything as to if this eventuated.
Has this been done or will it be done soon? I have an 80 I’ve held of on finishing because of this.
I can’t imagine any problems with just cut/pasting the file. Then again up until a minute ago I wouldn’t have imagined out of all the current OS’s choosing to use both of the worst two.
In theory it is only for people who spent stupid mounts on money on the BLC’s so they should already have them from opening them
Unless you deleted them like I did, even still you’re just pissing of what ever percentage paid for chests and then deleted the contents which I’d say is much less than 90% of the playerbase.

I haven’t kept notes of specific drops but I believe I had a significant increase in drops. Not so much doing a few things in Orr at first (oh how I raged) but when I started working on a full map clear was making alot more.
As some one said though, be a good sport and have a different set for dungeons.
I’d personally rather they fix problems immediately. I think what you’re missing here is the Halloween event is going on and they’re probably patching bugs/exploits with it.
This. I’ll take a minor inconvenience over the player base talking to a brick wall regarding bugs and game play issues.

Assumptions:
“you just wanted to run a zerg and press autoattack” – this statement assumes you knew my exact motivation and exactly what i was doing at the time this event occurred, specifically
1. “you wanted” – you knew exactly what I was thinking.
2. “to run a zerg” – you knew that i was leading a zerg at that moment.
3. “press autoattack” – you knew exactly how I was playing the game at that moment, ie. autoattacking and doing nothing else.
4. “you don’t get how (Area of effect) works” – seems to me like I saw exactly how it works.
So what I hear you saying is that you can in fact read my mind and see through my eyes when I am playing GW2 and that AoE tactics are legitimate tactics in GW2 even when they give one side an insurmountable advantage over another in WvWvW.
They do give one side a huge insurmountable advantage, the side that thinks it through and sets up an arrow carts.

If your dead set on getting it I wouldn’t recommend getting keys and hoping. Better of just buying it off the TP. Even buying gems and trading them for gold would work out better than people are saying the drop rates are.
Brought a 5 pack of keys, got a great sword skin, some shoulders plus the usual boosters. Made about 50 gold selling the skins because I didn’t end up liking them.
One of them is still on the TP if anyone complaining about odds wants to buy it. xD

Haha, I went the other way. I’m sure you will get annoyed at not being able to stealth and de-agro when running from a to b.
On a brighter note, you can faceroll what ever mob you would have run away from while they hit you with their wet noddles.
No idea what is the most effective but am a big fan of great sword (Dps) and then a mace and board (tankish) for when things get cray cray. Keeping a scepter and focus in your bag for any range type scenarios helps but you can shoulder through for the most part. It might be a bit over kill but I like chain pulling multiple mobs so I ran a pretty tanky build leveling, much toughness etc.
Is there a profanity filter on this or something? Every one keeps posting about night capping but its all the people capping during the day thats the problem.
Every time this comes up, I find myself wondering exactly how many people are not aware of cancer at this point?
To raise awareness of something, wouldn’t an increase in the people knowing about the issue, be a requirement of awareness being raised?
If people really, really need to feel like they have helped with out having actually done anything I recommend prayer. It’s a bit old fashioned but I think you will be impressed.
I can’t undesstand people saying there is nothing to do, I’m still a bit overwelmed with all the stuff I want to do in game and probably will be for a few months at least but I am a bit of a completionist.
Capped one 80, another at 50. Really need to work on world explorer though, both PVP’s are awesome. Pretty broke at the moment but have been crafting a fair bit and want to do more.
My worst critisim is it ends up being alittle antisocial due to the fact I’m actually engaged instead of doing everything on auto pilot. Which means I miss alot of guild chat. :S
Just have a question regarding the word filter, possibly a stupid one but I’d rather look stupid for asking it.
Does the filter on here now mean that by having the actual word ‘kitten’ in either a toons or a guilds name, you open yourself up for reporting and thus having your account banned either temporarily or permanently?
I understand people can take offense to virtually anything but anything official would be nice. Charr puns must be made.
Ok, so say you stop playing and come back when the rewards are increased.
Would the total of all the reward/drops etc you recieve over the next few months be equal or greater the the amount of the increase your holding out for? I doubt the increase would be significant enough to make up that shortfall.

Usually the ratio is the other way around but the majority of the profession appropriate names I came up with this time were female. Will be buying a slot for a male Charr warrior for some balance.

Yes, they should experience it. Their level of proficiency should be higher than when they began playing though. There is nothing wrong with being bad, only in staying bad.
Also, you’re missing the point. What I was getting at is that the fundamental difference between the two is that the vanity rewards system is more about progressing the player than their toon.
Ok here is how the gear treadmill works.
Even bad players can keep bashing their head against content, occasionally getting gear with better stats. These better stats give you a slight advantage which eventually culminates in an increase significant enough for you to get through hard content that’s been designed to not let you through until you have that slight advantage. You run content so… so you can run different content?
Here’s how Guild Wars works
You get better, its all you. You actually have to become a better player to improve your performance and if you don’t, you don’t. If you do, you get to make your character look cool and the pride of being awesome. You run content because you want too.
WoW was fun, great couple years but it’s over for me and my friends which is why we are here. If it wasn’t we would we playing WoW and rolling around in our piles of +’X’ gear.
