hot ruined the game for me too… i played 2.2k hours (i know not a lot) of the original, didn’t mind farming dungeons even when they nerfed them. then they released hot, bought it, the content was too hard to be soloed (im not a pro, so if you comment "i can solo everything idk why you can’t lol l2p, noob etc, like some of the people on the forum are, i know im not good at the game) then to top it all people stopped playing on my guilds so and i ended up playing alone trying to reach max hot lvls (161 mastery was back then) which i gave up because it was too much farming and too much time invested on zones i didn’t enjoy and still to this day find very boring and hard to play in. it’s really sad because i used to buy gems (not a lot, but i bought at least 300$ pre hot, without the base game) and was so saddened to know that the game i loved to play changed for the “hardcore” people. worst of all was the raids, it seemed like only that content was being developed at the time so i ended up quitting because i got tired of dying a lot. not to mention the legendary journey for HOPE which i struggled a lot, all the gold farm for nothing because i couldnt get the max mastery level. idk, the game was incredible in my opinion, in my mind it was perfect, i didn’t care to repeat dungeons everyday, it was fun. but the mastery system, seeing those metas that were impossible to make unless you had in mind every single minute of the day just to join a (possibly good, most likely failure) map, and seeing all the new gold sinks made me feel disgusted. now thankfully i found another game that i feel wants me to be happy, instead of what seemed to only look for a small portion of the player base that defended the company from even a small incinuation of a complain.

im happier now that i left, havent post in months, but i just wanted to say the reason in case my opinion as a customer matters a bit (i know it doesn’t because im not a customer anymore, i was casual, i was bad and it seems like everyone thinks the game is great outside of this post).

and no, i wont give you my gear or my gold because i used it all on hope which i didnt even got. but at least im at 0 and i played a lot, so i guess that was nice. i’ll allways miss the original and beatufil gw2.

can’t believe how much i still hate hot

i know that they were “nerfed” in the past patch but they are still really hard to do. sure some of you will say, “they were easy before and now they are not fun” but still you are hardcore. i come to this game to play and grind for my masteries and i have to do this adventures which i wont repeat again after i get silver on each so anet can see that at least 1 more account isn’t playing them.
it’s my opinion, only mine, i got difficulty playing them. still why should i get silver or gold for mastery points? why arent there more on other parts of the game. i could have gotten mastery points on a lot of other achievements instead of playing this. it would be fun if they asked for bronze to get 1 mastery point. silver is really hard to get.
now i know that there are 20 extra or something like that, but 6 are from raids, and since i can’t even complete an adventure on silver, what makes anet devs think a kittenty casual like me that barely knows how to play will get raid mastery points. others are from ls, they are ok difficulty except for the last one which is really bugged so its really hard to get it.
this only makes my playtime frustrating, this game was for casuals and this xpac… idk it went to hardcore players and now i can barely do anything…
its really boring to play like this.
i took a 3 month break but still, i remember why i left. which is sad because i spent 2k+ hours on central tyria doing casual stuff…
this is my opinion. i know it isn’t worth anything and it’s only 1 player thoughts, but this is a forum and i think this is the only place i can make my voice count. sorry if this post bothered you.

i don’t know, they will probably keep doing them, they deleted a post about suggestions for adventures yesterday, and all replies. i can’t link it. but anet mods always do that, they delete the posts that criticize them.
so get used to impossible adventuers for the average person.

i can’t seem to find HOPE vol 1. manual on the legendary crafting npc store. where is it?
why isnt it there when all other legends aren’t there?

the game is literally known for being a casual game by the reporters, critics, players and people that haven’t played it.
it doesn’t owe you anything and anet did really well by listening to their custumers.

also when are the changes coming?

they are refunding cause on next expac in 3 years you will need 1k hp, and if you completed all you have 500 hp invested on your class :P

They haven’t nerfed it, just disabled it.
but now it doesn’t matter cause you only need 250 hp for elite.
still i will use the notary to complete the map faster without fighting champs alone and dying and flying 20 mins and dying again, get mad, ask for help, wait 2 hours, no one comes, i fight again, then die again, then ask on guild, we die, they quit, i go fly other 20 mins against champ and die fighting again.

when is this happening, i know my points will be refunded and im still extremely happy cause im a noob that worked for all points and now im so happy more people will be spec instead of complaining.
but still this hasn’t happened?

so, i heard from wooden potatoes that you wont be able to get twice told legend title with the new legendary weapons and listenes the solution of crafting a legendary item that wont have a skin or something like that.

instead of making another legendary just to get the same legend twice, why not give people the achievement to people that present themselves to the npc with 2 weapons of the same type.

example: i got quip and hope, or frostfang and blue eternity. you go with both and get the title. seems less complicated.

now, im an ignorant, i dont know how coding works and all that, but it seems better than to craft 2 of the same (if people like only one generation of legendaries its ok make 2 of those)

so what do you think?

has someone experienced this? at certain times i get weird lag for like 10 secs every like 30 secs. or fight with ppl that seem to teleport while i don’t have any lag but they simply suicide or dont move except to weirdly move from place to place because of their lag. that has caused me a lot of losses, not that i win a lot, but i could have won some if not for that. Also, skills either take longer to respond when you push the botton or dont do anything at all, don’t even target someone.

and it seems like there are more 4v5 because ppl disconnect, or rarely i disconnect.

most will say that its my internet, but this started after update and the people i play with have the same complains. (i know we are the minority and our opinion or viewpoint doesn’t matter to anets concerns because we really don’t matter if we say something on the forums that may make anet look bad etc etc.) but still, it’s annoying.

Nobody will do this but we should just spam the forum asking for a fix and spam their twitch pvp and announcements asking the same thing.

Biggest concern is that they don’t fix hobosacks.

I’ve been wanting to transfer from europe for a while and since I like wvw I want to start completely fresh and go to a wvw server where most of the population speak spanish. So if you guys know which server does, it would would be really helpful.
I’m asking this because when I checked for NA servers none had the language specified unlike on europe.

The only thing I worry about is that they don’t fix the hobosacks on the engineers.

Fix them with the new expansion.

they can reach veterans as they are right now. the only thing is that they would need the same amount of time to do it as the veterans took to reach their point. ap for dailies has a cap (15kap i believe) so ye.
don’t worry new players can be like veterans, but they need to play the game like them.

I only hope that this new legends are account bound. I don’t care if people play the tp or buy them with real money legendaries are not legendary as long as people can get them without actually playing the game.

As the title says, we should get more than 2 bonus chests per week. I mean, we only get mostly greens and occasionally a rare or 2 from normal chests. you can’t really make lots of money unless you play a lot WvW so we should get more than 2.

If they wont get fixed in an acceptable way then i actually wont buy the x-pac and move on…and im not even dramatic or trolling right now. I want a good looking, as glitch free as possible AND like a proper end game char looking charr engineer. I want for once also enjoy backpieces to their fullest and if thats too much to ask for after 1,5 years of BEGGING for a darn fix in a topic that got atm 1339 replies and 116283 views then ill find another mmo that appreciates all their professions equally.

I know that the specialization may not have kits or something but what about the engineer? will we have to keep using and seeing the kits that lots and lots and lots and lots and lots of people have asked to be removed?

I prefer if you can only get the new legends with collections because that would mean less people with legends, also less people that buy them of the tp instead of crafting.

Would you fix legendary auras and tail clipping on new expansion?
the auras look a lot smaller (obviously because the model is bigger) but compared to a human it’s almost like you don’t have any aura.
also almost every armor doesn’t have a hole for the tale so the tail sticks out of the outfit same with most shoulders that are floating .
also some footprints show less like quip’s because when you are walking on 2 feet you don’t make as many footprints as when you are ooc on 4 legs, but if you see an asura they make at least double amount of confetti either ooc or not.

New system is horrible. I already have 100% map completition on my main and have done lots of the stuff you are supposed to do to get the new traits. Why would I need to either pay or do this stuff again? I leveled an alt with some tomes of knowledge and now I know that he would be better off if I deleted him and my other alts because I’ll never use them again just because of this. It’s a waste of time.

I lvled my guardian a bit with tomes of knowledge and I can’t select traits because I have to do some tasks or pay to the guy that sells them?
I’m poor on game, and you want me to buy traits?
That only promotes that I go and search guardian builds and get the ones that everybody else says are the best so I don’t risk myself.
Sure there are people that would say that I don’t need to do that, but I don’t know any other classes so I prefer to go with the meta.
Also why would I want to go and do events or kill champs for 1 trait?
Now, I prefer to never use that alt again,. In fact I prefer to nevcer lvl ANY alt just because of this.

Either they’re working on something more ambitious or another project altogether, but 300 people for the content they’ve given us doesn’t really mesh. That’s why some people are expected something big.

Since that time we’ve gotten two new zones, ergo new content that someone somewhere worked on. Those new zones aren’t, as far as I can tell, designed by the living story team, which is quite small. They were designed by people working on stuff that was larger in the background. That keeps happening.

Colin said those same people as soon as one thing is finished they move onto another thing. The people that worked on EoTM did a great job (whether you like the zone or you don’t). And those people move to another project. Sort of how it works.

Yes, but two of those zones only came out in the last six months. Why deliberately ignore the stuff in front of you. China got launched in April and within six months we had two new zones.

That means that content is accelerating. You’re taking season 1 into those two years, which had a lot of temporary content. That doesn’t happen anymore.

All anyone can really do, without being completely disingenuous, is to start counting from July this year, and then see how much we end up getting in this year.

it doesn’t matter. it’s still a year and a half without any permanent update. and even if they released 2 zones in 6 months, they are still the size of 1 of the maps from release. i enjoy this game a lot! i really do, but still after 2 years all the updates they made to the game seem really really small compared to other game expansions or updates.

I like the new dailies. You guys made an awesome job. they feel more rewarding and actually make me wanna play instead of doing 5 tedious things i hate like on the old system. keep the good work.

Wont change anything, and whatever we say will be ignored.
But if more people actually say how they feel for the game after two years of the same stuff will make the new players that enter the forums realise how the game is sinking deeper.
