How about we close WvW during my nights and open it during my days? Then you won’t have to worry about it because you won’t be able to play.

Stop making assumptions about what “night capping” is. You arn’t logged on you can’t see what’s happening.

Yes it’s often a different play style, but just because we don’t have map ques doesn’t mean no one is playing. Just because you lost all your T3 stuff doesn’t mean we didn’t spend hours fighting over it.

Just play the game and enjoy it. Let others do the same.

Thanks for the feedback everyone. The response to 2,1,1 is mixed, so I thought I would inform everyone that we will be changing it to 5,4,3. This is intended to go out around the same time as Episode 4.

Will 5,4,3 be shortly followed by “reducing night capping” by making off hours 4,3,2 and 1,2,3 depending on population?

Only reason i can see why 5,4,3 would be an option.

I voted for Desert BL. I play Desert BL. It is a map better suited to small scale fighting, havocing and roaming. It is used by a lot of players for just that reason.

People voted for it to allow for those forms of game play, not necessarily for themselves to play but because they were aware that the WvW population is more diverse then just their own play style.

Just because something doesn’t suit your preferred game play doesn’t mean it isn’t what others wanted and use. It’s one map, if you don’t like it it’s easy to avoid.

I have to agree though that canons and repair hammers were very bad ideas…

Bought game. Wait 2 weeks for the server my friends were on to open up.

Gave up on it ever opening, joined Yak’s Bend. Next day FA opened and been there for 4 years now.

1. Which proposal is your favorite?

3, unfortunately it’s only because I see much bigger issues with 1 and 2 not because I really like 3.

2. What, if anything, would you change about any of the current proposals?

I would change option 1. Instead of their being random names from a pool, when links are formed give them a name derived from the linked servers names:
EG: Maguuma Terrace, Aspenwood Sanctum, Stormbluff Madness, Bay of Sorrows, Yak’s Anvil, Shiverpeak’s Furnace, Kaineng Brand Pass, Isle of Ferguson’s Henge, Devona’s Crystal Haven.

Granted it’s a little tricker with 3-4 servers linked, but it acknowledges everyone, without the loss of identity, both to the team and the enemy. Keep it for the length of the linking.

I don’t feel option 2 is salvageable. We need server names for scouting and a sense of community. It sounds very much like Edge of the Myst, i’m sure there is plenty of forum evidence on how WvWers feel about that.

Option 3 is just going to confuse us. When i’m running I need those updates on who took what to help keep track of the enemy and judge response time. Having to look up who was linked with who is going to make that more difficult (particularly in multi-link situations). It was also unclear in this proposal if all objectives taken by a team come up as the linked server or just ones they participate in? or are the dominate force?

3. Is there another proposal you think is better?
Server titles that the enemy can see. Players can toggle it on or off depending on whether they want it known or not. Some care, some don’t, make it a personal choice for the player.

I have mixed feelings.

I like that you are trying to balance matches. I feel uneasy that this may evolve into a “blow up the servers” solution. I am concerned for the potential loss to my servers community if guild groups went for this option.

Ultimately I don’t think enough people would go for this option to make it feasible, which brings me back to my earlier concern that this will turn into a “blow up the servers” solution, which I feel would lead to a lot of people leaving the game.

I also feel that unfortunately most (didn’t say all) of the players who have stacked onto these full servers have done so because they want to be on a server with superior numbers that dominates not an even match. Relying on these people to volunteer to move to a smaller server isn’t likely to be successful. I’ll also note that there are people on smaller servers who prefer being in smaller matches and don’t want a population that matches everyone elses.

2. What, if anything, would you change about this current proposal?

Rather then adding new servers, I would offer free transfers OFF Full and High pop servers TO Medium and Low population Servers. That should demonstrate just how many people are actually willing to switch.

3. Would you be interested in transferring to a new free world?

Reduce the impact of night capping.
Lessen the gap between winning scores and losing scores so losing teams can still recover.

The changes in bold have yet to be implemented even though they were part of the very first “poll”.

Not voting until they finish the stuff they mentioned in the previous polls. Nightcap fix is too important and affects this new poll so until they change it there is no reason to vote now.

I think both of those were part of the Skirmish system. As a dreaded night capper, I’m fine with that solution. You aren’t the only people who play, sorry.

1 up 1 down seems completely unnecessary with the manual glicko adjustments you have been doing. There have been countless topics outlining why this system is flawed, particularly now we are down to only 4 Tiers (NA). Read them.

I like the points for defending, it’s something that a lot of people just give up on when it’s not an easy win, because as you said majority of the time they can just cap it back later.

My concern is with the no points for structures held, only taken and defended. When you are in an out numbered time zone, part of the strategy is to back cap paper objectives so the larger server has something to do rather then focusing on your few remaining upgraded keeps and spawn camping. Where as with this system I would be just feeding the larger server more points and would be more effective just letting them cap everything (defending a push or two on fully upgraded objectives) and logging out thus limiting the total amount of points they can gain, until the time zone shifted and my server was the dominate force.

Unfortunately I think that aspect of your proposal does discourage people from playing in any timezone (or perhaps even match up) where they are facing a larger more dominate force.

I think that people who don’t play in “night capping” time zones don’t realize that there is game play on at those times it just has a tendency to be less even in balance then prime time. So any feature that encourages people to simply give up and log off if they can’t match the numbers is not a good solution.

I also think your "Multiple objective bonus”, just gives more benefits to larger servers. Who have the people to multiblob.

DB has the most in ocx time now. On JQ tonight we have been fighting against 60 DB with 20 of us.

My meaning was that JQ is rolling T2 the most frequently of the 4 T1 class servers. Even if JQ has lost guilds I’d be shocked if you only had one 20 man zerg in these time zones.

you might want to check out Fort Aspenwood, although there isn’t a lot of people on at that hour everyone scouts and everyone will come to defend when a call comes out.

As an old guy that doesn’t sleep well, I come on at all times of the night and there is always other players on, just not a lot. There is also a guild that runs a zerg around midnight some nights. Other FA players might have more info on this.

Yes FA is a very good server if you are looking for challenging but rewarding defense. Particularly in this time zone. As we are usually against one of the T1 class servers BG currently, JQ previously. We are normally out numbered but do our best to hold against the much larger forces. While we do have a few active guilds in this time zone (CREW, CC, WoL, CUTE, SUDO, RP), the most amazing thing about the FA defenders is that they are primarily militia who have developed a great team atmosphere of co-operation and community with out having to be in the same guild, so even as a single player you caN make a difference.

Yes the Zerg guild is CREW who are a great group of people who will often run early OCX, PUG’s welcome. But you’ll mostly be fighting with smaller guilds and Militia, dedicated scouts, havoc and PUG-manders.

It’s a great community with lots to do in this time zone. Love to have you join us.

JQ is currently linked with Anvil Rock. You can transfer to Anvil Rock to play with your JQ friends. However links change every 2 months and AR is unlikely to remain with JQ which would mean you would have to transfer every 2 months, that is asuming JQ even gets a linked server.

Guilds move a lot during a year. Another alternative may be to find out if any of your friends have transferred to other open servers and join them there.

Hi there, I understand your frustrations but hopefully there is a way around this.

1. If everything is taken by the enemy, then there are plenty of small objectives likely unguarded such as camps and sentries you can take solo or with a friend or two. There is more then one map so across all four maps you should be able to get a bit of WXP a day.

2. Use your buffs, Guild Halls now offer a Reward track bonus and daily rewards give track progression potions. Vet creature, sentry, caravan, camp are all achievable individually. It may take time, but progress is progress.

3. Connect with your community. What server are you on? What time zone do you play? Have you checked out your servers website (most have one)? Are there any guilds that do organized raids you can join? Are you using map chat to look for allies? Do you have friends you can bring to WvW with you.

4. The most active time for WvW is reset, if you can make that then you will have people to play with and even if you are on a losing side have an opportunity to get some track progression.

The gift of Battle unless I’m mistaken was always a WvW item, they just changed it to a reward track instead of Badges of Honor. Just be thankful WvW doesn’t count towards map completion anymore, or you’d be really upset :P.

I feel introducing this would only make bigger zergs / blobs more dominant, whilst hurting smaller groups, out manned servers and scouts.

Good siege placement as a defender in addition to good scouting can allow you to defend an objective against a much larger force, by using your well placed siege to destroy theirs. If these larger forces can then repair the siege you are trying to destroy then what is the point to even trying to destroy it? Defenders stop defending, things will go down hill from there.

Whilst I appreciate that attention is being given to the WvW game mode and you are looking for ways to improve it, this idea shows how out of touch with the player base your team is. In WvW I only ever see Anet guild tags in big zergs / blobs, I think those people really need to try defending against them for a change. If you wish to make WvW more balanced then you need to look at ways to even the playing field not give extra benefits to who ever can run the biggest blob.

FA is really hitting it’s stride atm, I’ve never seen a more active OCX / SEA in T2 then right now. Many of our former linked BP making the move back to be with our great community.

HOD AND SBI PAIRING?????

What made them pair HOD and SBI with each other
HOD was winning and now we are paired with SBI like we owned t4 so I don’t get it just merge the dam servers and let people transfer

HOD + SBI seems to be a great pair to go against SOS + NSP. This is a really balanced pair, sure one will be ahead of the otehr at times, but once the dust settles things will become more balanced and less volatile. Neither is good to go against JQ though as JQ still vastly outnumbers both across most timezones it seems.

Once JQ goes up and another link drops down that is closer in numbers, things should become a lot more interesting, and they are actually not that bad now.

I agree. If we could just tell JQ to go take off and leave us alone, SBI+HoD and SoS+NSP is a great matchup.

But JQ have something to prove, apparently.

It’s not that JQ have something to prove, it’s that if they don’t dominate the match up they lose glicko, if they lose glicko they get stuck in T3. The only way for them to get back to T2 is to win by a large margin, if it was a close match they’d lose glicko and be your new Tier mates for a much longer period.

Toxic/Abusive players in WvW chat

The reality of the internet is that people will say and do things they wouldn’t do in real life for attention and reactions. So there are three steps you can take to stop them, and the more people who do it the more effective it is:

1. Do not feed the trolls. If they said all this stuff and no one responded and no one argued, they get bored and go do something else. What they want is someone to respond, this response triggers more of this behavior.

2. Report. Guess what Anet doesn’t have people just sitting around monitoring every chat channel in game looking for people saying inappropriate things, we have to bring it to their attention. The more people who report the more likely action will be taken. Action isn’t instant, the guy won’t just disappear immediately the GM’s have to investigate and follow their process and all reports will go into some kind of que. They also have their own punishment system and yes your report may not get the guy banned, it may not get him banned for long but all reports should at least put a flag on that players account. Anet is a business and they arn’t going to perma ban customers for anything minor, and yes generally verbal abuse, particularly over map chat isn’t a major offense, why? because of point 3.

3. Block them. GW2 has one of the most user friendly block systems i’ve seen in an MMO, just right click and done. No clumsy typing, it’s account wide not character specific and you can even see where they are if you really want to avoid them. As a player you do not have to listen to it, so don’t.

I was a mod on another MMORPG for years and I got this problem constantly, players being harassed but they refused to block the player because they shouldn’t have to. By not blocking the player you are encouraging them to continue this behavior. Once they are blocked, you will no longer have these problems.

Anet has provided tools for players to make sure they can customize what chat they see, you can turn on your profanity filter and block anyone who you find offensive. People are very different and what one person finds offensive another might find very funny where as a third person sees it as just boring. There isn’t a one size fits all so you have to customize your own size.

I have a few people on my block list and I don’t see any trolling at all.

Well thank you for listening to our opinions, it’s nice to see Anet looking for feedback.

I do however have concerns about this poll. The “Adjust scoring to be relative to current activity and population (Large)” option should have been left off this poll. As it was previous announced as a controversial maybe it really shouldn’t be the first priority.

After the other options had been sorted by priority, Implemented and reviewed. Then a poll for whether or not to implement this option giving full details of what that means should have been done. The problem with putting such a controversial option on this poll with 5 other options, mean those for it have one voting option, those against it have 5 options. Something as controversial as reducing the impact of non NA players really should be a straight Yes or No vote.

As a player outside of the US i’m deeply concerned about what such changes would do for the game mode.

Potential (controversial) additional change:

  • While the above change takes steps to bring the value of off-hours coverage in-line, there’s a good chance it’ll still be overvalued. If that’s the case (and we’ll eventually poll on this), then we have plans for an additional system.
  • This is the Action Level – Victory Point Multiplier system
    • This system would multiply the Victory Points awarded by Skirmishes based on map populations and time of day.
    • During prime time hours, the multiplier would always be at it’s maximum of 3.
    • During off hours, the multiplier might stay at 3 or drop to 2 or 1, depending on on activity level.
    • It’s important to include map populations as a factor, to make the system more fair for off hours players and its important to include time-of-day as a factor to prevent a winning team from trying to keep the score muliplier low by exiting WvW

Hi Tyler thanks for posting the details, i’m really excited for all the new updates except the one i’ve quoted above.

I’ve seen a lot of posts on the forums on “night capping” over the last few years and I’ve never felt the need to respond as it was always the same tired arguments and I always thought surely Anet won’t respond to this nonsense.

I am a dreaded night capper, why? Because I live outside the US. Does this mean I run around empty maps taking all the other guys stuff and laughing “Bwahha take that sleepers”? No.

Yes there is less activity on most servers at this time, but I’ve played against eight other servers and every single one of them had equal, more or at most 2-3 less players on at that time then we did. Yes there are less people but there are still fights, objectives are defended and skill is involved.

Why then do some servers lose everything and others don’t? Co-ordination, leadership and dedication. If you can’t defend a keep with 8 people against 10, you deserve to lose it at any time of the day.

My server has been grossly out numbered in these time zones in the past but at the moment we’re generally falling in the middle, facing a server which grossly out numbers us and one that just gives up on off hours despite having enough people to defend. But we generally don’t go losing all our points because we have players who are dedicated to defending and if they can capping… at night!

I often see these off hour players one man per tower, they siege it, they guard it, they scout it, when it’s attacked they defend it. They kill the guys trying to take it or if they die defending they’ll be back in 5 mins to recap so the server doesn’t lose PPT and start again.

They use their own siege they get very little world exp and loot but they get enjoyment from contributing to the server. When you tell them they’re not as important because the map isn’t qued they’re going to start losing enjoyment and losing players.

I’d also be concerned about servers which have strong OCX/SEA/EU presence, It might be worth looking at servers with these higher numbers where would they now sit on the new system? If it would cause a drastic drop then that is something you may want to think about.

It’s a 24hr game, people who play prime time already get rewarded with more fights, exp and loot is making them more important then the rest of us really worth it?

Edit for clarification: Referring in this post generally to late SEA early EU. Still plenty of activity OCX.

World Linking Beta

I’m from a lower tier (6 I think) – BP … I do love the big action that I have now being grouped with the higher tier server.. BUT.. It has simply become a place for me to come and fight if I want to. Taking, keeping, towers, camps, keeps, etc is no longer something that’s really a big deal other than the blobs looking to attract people to fight it seems. Nothing wrong with that of course. But I am BP.. and right now BP doesn’t exist in any represented way other than me saying it out loud. Fort Aspenwood is the world I’m hosted on and I have nothing to say against the people there. They do things their way and that’s all good. After the dust clears and I’ve had a few hours of intense blobbing I would really love to just go off and see what BP has done. I would love to go off with a small group of my homies and brand a bunch of stuff with our BP colour of the week.. But I can’t…. and THAT is where this thing is a fail for me. If it becomes permanent and if it turns out that BP will no longer even exist then it truly would cause my engagement in WvW to drop off even more than it already has. The reset night was awful of course. The next two days/nights were quite fun. But the novelty of the fights has worn down for me at least. I will go in a couple times a week I guess to have a little blob fun, but the days of going in every day and reclaiming things for BP and running havoc on other maps “for The Pass!” don’t exist anymore ( at least not right now ). When those days are possible once again then my WvW presence will go back to daily.
In the meantime I’m happy for those who really like this set up. I hope it makes the majority happy ( if it does ) because at the end of the day ‘majority rules’. For me, I won’t cry and whine about it all.. I will just change my play style and find things to do that I like 2nd to WvW but still like to do with friends.

I’m an FA player I just wanted to let you know that although at the moment there is a lot of blobbing and queing that is not what FA normally is. We have a lot of players who have come to check out the patch which is artificially inflating our numbers.

Outside of reset there are a lot of opportunities for guilds to run smaller and effectively contribute to the match. My Guild CC normally run 3-10 we do BL’s and EBG and we are getting fights and taking objectives. Yes we do get Blob wiped but that’s part of the fun to see how much damage we can do before the big guns get called in.

Please don’t feel you’ve lost your ability to play outside of blob warfare because you haven’t. The hype of the update just needs some time to cool down.

Issues:
- Major lag and regular game crashing.

- Server Identity issue for guest server. I’m fine with alternating server names.

- Play style conflict. T1 + T8 not really compatible.

Solutions:
- possibly 5 Tiers? or a 3 server merge at the bottom? Maybe T one , T2 T6, T3 +T5, T4 + T7 +T8. I don’t know population statistics but links don’t have to be 11.

Maybe not even T1 servers don’t get merged but the 3 servers with the highest active WvW population stand on their own.

Over all:

I like that you are working on WvW, I think the linking system has potential but there are some things you need to address. Linking can’t be the ONLY solution, I’m hoping there are more updates to come.

Does spawn camping help or hurt the game ?

Spawn camping is normally more common when you have servers trying to farm glicko for a Tier push rather then when you get Tiers looking for fights. Demoralizing and discouraging the enemy to play tends to be a tactic of some of the guilds in order to maximize PPT and minimize resistance to progress quickly to the next Tier.

We saw a lot of spawn camping when YB made their T1 push and we’re seeing more now TC (both from TC and the Rebellion) are making the same push. Your probably reading more posts about spawn camping because there are servers in T2 and T3 trying to progress to the next Tier.

Was there any premades? But yes Amber and Sapphire can be match against each other solo Q if the player pool is small enough.
The game matched the teams together based on MMR. It then had to find a team for them to Vs and it had to stretch all the way up to the next division. It just means there was very few players in your range on at the time.

I play in the lower divisions. I deserve to be in the lower divisions. I sometimes play with players who I feel should not be matched with me due to their higher skill level. This is rare and those players are normally skilled at say the next division up (Sapphire).

I have yet to be matched with anyone I considered a far superior player who carried the whole team. The players i’ve played with who make the posts on the forums about people ruining their games tend to be people who have a set match plan they will not deviate from regardless of match conditions and spend their time abusing team mates instead of observing and adapting. (I have not played with everyone who’s made such a post).

I think there is an issue with there not being enough players to fill the lower ranks and keeping people down as a result. There are Ambers who should be Emeralds and Emeralds who should be Sapphires. But I don’t believe (with the exception of alt accounts) that there are any Amber / Emerald players who deserve to be in Ruby or above.

Seems match making is stretching even further, I played against this solo Q team last night.

Your ability to play your class is fine. Your ability to work as a team is what your lacking. The games I’ve played with you, you spent them abusing your team. As soon as the first push fails it is everyone elses fault.

Yes you have been put in uneven matches, yes sometimes team mates will do illogical stuff. Abusing them doesn’t help. Making multiple post on forums as to why your better and every one else messed up your game is why your not improving.

Take some time to look at how you can improve instead of blaming it on every one else.

oh, plz don’t make em 100 gold. think of pve here too. 100 gold is nothing. if a noob like me got a commie tag for 300, you can too. i don’t always up my tag (especially on wvw), but when i do, i ask if anyone with more ap wants to take over. what with these HoT mentor tags, you can see how many clueless ppl aspire to be leaders. either that or just proud trolls.

a good commander is actually a team of people that make decisions of where the zerg should be – they don’t bark commands, they lead groups according to intel- with scouts keeping track of enemy groups, not only on center maps but on borders too

Ricky.4706 has the right idea (and one wicked rig)! a wvw commander is so much more than a tag and a bag of swears.

Yes, but a commander tag is also a scout and that guy trying to rally the few pugs on map to hold onto your stuff since there is no one with a tag any where in sight.

I wouldn’t mind if it was just one color option for the 100g.

I think the OP is making a point about match making. That as the only Ruby against 4 Rubies the game seems to think he can lift the other sapphires and Emerald to his level.

At a guess I would say you are in the High Amber / low Emerald player pool. That you are getting matched with the same few players again and again and against the same players on repeat. Meaning that when you lose a match you replay it 2-3 more times with similar results.

It is frustrating. It is endless and I don’t have any suggestions to improve it, because we both know that as soon as you team up with someone your going to get matched against a guild 5 man premade on foefire.

All I can say is don’t play for the wins. If you focus only on winning you’ll get frustrated quicker and your game play will suffer. Focus on improving yourself, having good fights and if you are lucky even the occasional good match. Will you suddenly get a win streak? Nope. But you might get more enjoyment out of the game.

Most lost matches are because my team (myself included) struggle to recover / regroup after an initial wipe. We remain off balance and staggered for the rest of the game.

Using the in-game report system is incredibly effective. We have people watching The Stream, as we call it, 24/7/365. Click the person or the person’s name in chat, right click, Scroll to Abusive Language, and the monitors will see the chat string and strings around it.

I will let CS know that this seems to be a growing issue, and they will take whatever steps they can to handle this.

Do AFKers reported for “Botting” get responded to in a similar way or is it a situation of not enough to warrant action?

Staggered Start?

I would just like to see different start points, a slightly different stagger method.
Last Season Legend = Emerald T1 Start.
Last Season Diamond = Amber T4 Start.
Last Season Ruby = Amber T3 Start.
Last Season Sapphire = Amber T2 Start.
Last Season Emerald, Amber and Non Participants = Amber T1 Start.

Doesn’t give a huge advantage but it limits the starter match stompings that drove a lot of people away.

2. Team Balance – No more then 2 of a class per team.
3. Better tournament Balance. Minimizing ridiculous streaks.

In addition to the small player pool, the “pro” players are playing on alts to get matches. This means they stomp there way through the divisions again. So, they compound the problems that got them slow matches to begin with.

This game wasn’t built to be esports, it wasn’t advertised or promoted as esports and the audience doesn’t want esports. I hope anet realizes this in time.

I have experienced this too. Last night I had 4 matches in a row against a player who was devastating us, easily winning 3v1’s, holding his own in 4 v 1’s. His response was " Sorry got bored in Legend". As a one off it’s fine but repeating the same match 3 more times was… painful.

Thank you all for your input, but just to clarify the issue here is small player pool, it’s not about the wings or progressing through the tiers.

My situation is i’m playing the same game on repeat, and yes while there are benefits to getting the same players again and again, that benefit also goes to the other team who are consistently winning with margins greater then 350 points. This seems to be because the match finding is having to stretch further to find matches. I’m being matched against players who are IMO out of my reasonable PIP range.

I feel this is because at the start of the season, the players who should be in this tier with me got thrashed so badly they no longer find PvP fun and left the game mode.

I am not saying we should revert to a grind based Tier system, that had it’s own flaws. I’m saying there has to be an alternative then giving people endless losing streaks at the start of the season. This post is here to give Anet a view of the bottom end of the tournament. The theory that it would even itself out has failed.

I would love to see more casual / below average players return to the game mode and play with / against them. Unfortunately I feel they may have been completely turned off the game mode.

reaper is not that hard to play.
well, for me, at least.

anyway, that is just 1 sapphire with 9 emeralds. probably a fresh sapphire.

My concern though is with the small player pool, while I agree they were probably very low sapphire I am getting the same people consistently in matches both opposed and in team. If the matching system can’t even get 10 Emeralds to fill a match then there is an issue.

most casual players should be able to reach ruby even if they play 3 ranked games per day.

I’m playing Druid and occasionally Mesmer.

I am mostly working on:
– Identifying best rotations for situations
- Identifying winnable and unwinnable fights.
- Awareness of where my team and enemy are on the map.
- Skill combos.
- Judgement calls between stomp and res.

There are other area’s for improvements but these are the ones that have the most impact on my play style.

I don’t mind being in Emerald. I’m just sick of being spawn camped.

I’m not a good player. I’m trying to improve and I am getting better but I am in Emerald and I deserve to be in Emerald. The problem is, most of the other people who deserve to be in Emerald seem to have quit.

My match making for the last week or so has put me with the same few people both consistently on my team and on the opposing team. 4-6 Matches in a row with the same 2-3 people on my team. Opposing the same core team that flogs us again and again. Solo queing as T1 Emerald i’m facing Solo Q Saphires.

There are a few problems with this:

1. There are good players who are getting stuck playing with people like me again and again as they only have 1-2 MMR matches in team line up they get stuck.

2. Playing unwinable matches constantly is demoralising and causes more players to leave making the player pool much smaller still. This means next season you have a smaller player pool to spread amongst the ranks and better players will be stuck in lower leagues.

Now please be clear this isn’t a “QQ Y NO BACKPACK” post, I don’t think I should be able to progress out of Emerald. But I do want fair match ups. This far into the season the imbalance in lower tiers should have been soughted out, but it hasn’t. I would just like to put this out here for Anet to see. Without a base you can’t build a pyramid and with out bad players to fill the lower ranks you can’t push all the better players up.

Yes i’ve tried playing at different times (similar results i’ve tried from 2pm PST -> 9AM PST).

Yes i’ve tried leaving it a few days and coming back.

Yes i’ve tried queing with friends, most are better then me (High Saphire – Ruby) and I don’t want to drag them down.

Yes i’ve tried partying people I worked well with, we then get matched against tougher 4-5 man premades. Because 2 man pre is the same as a 5 man pre.

Yes I know unranked is there.

Yes I know I need to learn to play and get better.

I hope Anet can figure out a better system for soughting players into tiers next season, but I’m not sure how many of us who deserve to be at the bottom will be back after this season.

I think it’s aimed at bringing PvE-ers into WvW. Not saying I wouldn’t mind it counting as a PvE daily instead of a WvW one, but you at least have to move out of spawn unlike Big Spender.
