Yes you are Hero that constantly transfer to lower tier worlds. To be honest we transfered to our world when it was 13th now it’s 9th, what makes you think we should do that again, because now we are in healthy and working world? Hope you can open your eyes we dont want to repeat same thing over and over again, we worked for having world that offers good fights, and is not stacked with guilds.

Anet Devs can u express your thoughts on the matter?

Name it whatever You like, I used term leech and host because I wanted to describe the situation as precisely as I could. I’m sorry if You or anyone feels insulted, that is clearly not the intention here.

It’s simply not possible (being suddenly full) since servers with better coverage that are not linked (host only) are very high at best. I’ve said 17th place world is full and that must be wrong.

Yeah but there is a big flaw that i stated in first post. Server that is the host right now cant gain population naturally so stagnation will kill it off. Hosting world kept ppl on thanks to organisation, obviously some players left but worlds keept on being refilled. Right now the hosting server obviously is gaining, a parasite that is leeching of him. Giving numbers with questionable quality (low tiers were empty). In healthy state the activity should be splited or parasite with leech the host to the bones, and then be swaped again, leaving hosting server in agonal state.

To compare it to real life let’s imagine you have green fence, so the flaw is to just leave it there and dont repaint it. Then in matter of years the paint will peel off, and it will be basically devastated. To keep fence green you have to repaint it green again and again and simply tend to it. Right now hosting servers are fences left there to degradate.

That is common flaw in thinking, that to keep things the way they are you just do nothing, when that is exactly the opposite.

So it’s far from perfect because of the flaw, sit and think about it what will be left after 4 months without transfers losing ppl, that u used to get back constantly. To back this up, when world lost large portion of players the transfer cost went lower and it was up to repopulate. Right now that’s not the case obviously. So the transfer cost should be separated and players should decide if they want cheaper transfer for less populated server and same quality, or go for stable but costly option.

Right now it’s plain unfair for communities that builded their world and were happy where they are or were going up at their own pace. So dont help one while punishing the other. All parties should benefit from it making WIN/WIN right now it’s LOSE/WIN at best, and in my opinion it’s a LOSE/LOSE since it will create some drama between worlds, and they wont cooperate to lower the world state.

Hello, I wanted to stress out that worlds after linking with other worlds are now full. Since i can only suspect i think it happens because of Anet counting activity in wvwvw for both worlds and assigning it for hosting world. So Right now Gandara & Ruins of Surmia make for Gandara – FULL (transfer not possible), Ruins of Surmia – MEDIUM.

Right now the guilds are crippled because they cannot get new ppl to server who is still growing. For example Drakkar Lake is full (17th place), after the worlds will get swaped , Drakkar Lake will be crippled because ppl wont be able to transfer there for 4 months, and will slowly leave the place, while supporting server will simply leech on host. (low transfer costs for same quality fights).

I’m hoping that devs will adress it soon as it clearly is something that needs to be dealt with asap.

1. Bring back Alpine, these maps were designed for leggionaries, current map is designed for marathonians. Just to much runing and effort to get fights. It’s not fun. Compared to spvp it would be like you made map two times to big, and if someone loses the fight, he have to spend 3/4 his time runing back. New maps are not bad in their core design, they are just to big, and seem like to much ideas tried to be stuffed into one thing. So you overkilled your design, but it’s always about learning something, so it’s not a bad thing to bring back Alpine and tweak it now that you know what works and what not.

2. Condi dmg is strong as it is, it builded up with buffs to fire dmg, and now chillomancers. It would be in good place, but you nerfed food that gave -40% condi durr to -20% condi durr while giving new sources of increasing condi durr in condi spec. Now with the arena size, condi dmg is over powered to direct dmg it counters the toughness, and w/o toughness you get devastated against blobs. So you put players in impossible situation without counters other than cheese mesmer boon share (resistance build up).
3. Rewards, just copy how it’s done in pvp for starters – count kills, claims and defending.
4. Increase size of the arena (100% Obsidian), make it have wvwvw builds not pve, and place wvwvw timer in guild hall, same as in wvwvw. It’s QOL change, but needed one.
5. Start supporting GvG format, as it envloved in GW2. Now ESL is on it, you can maybe stream it or just promote it with news or interviews with top guilds. Accept it and support it: http://play.eslgaming.com/guildwars2/global/gw2/open/ladder-gvg-europe/rankings/#!?page=1

Thief from my team experienced lags (1-2s delay on skills) yesterday but only in tournament games. When he was in mists he didnt lag at all.

He did reset his router, we waited 1 hour, when reset didnt helped, but nothing changed.

1. Trait system: are u going to rebuild this, because some traits on some classes are must have (30 in arcane on elmentalist). That trait line is just 2 strong compared to other possible patches.

Hey all, hope you guys had a great break!

There are so many things to talk about, so instead of quoting individual people, I’ll just
make a post outlining things that people have mentioned.

New features: As I said in the Guru state of the game, January won’t see any big updates.
Everyone is getting back from vacation, so it’s a small patch. We’ll see bigger updates in
later patches, etc.

I plan to write out a full blog for these features as they’re closer to being ready. But I can
give a few details now:

[almost there???]*Custom Arenas. This is still our top priority for the time being, as it allows the
playerbase to do so many things. You guys can set maps up in the ways that you
want, and it you can set up your own servers to allow you to practice with your
friends. It also allows custom tournaments, etc. It just gives you guys a lot of control
over the game, so we’re pushing hard on it.
[Invisible?]*Ratings/matchmaking/leaderboards. These are being worked on. I’ll give more
details on this later, but quickly: We will be using our MM (matchmaking) system to
match teams up against one another. Each player has their own rating, and these
ratings are used when 2 teams are fighting one another. MM obviously won’t be
used in public matches (because people are jumping in/out all the time), and
instead will be used in tournament formats. We will be using the MM system in the
background as you play, and then we will be showing player ranks via our official
leaderboards. These leaderboards will show things like player ranks, wins, losses,
qualyfing points, etc.
[no ticket barrier, so… yes?]*New player experience/teaching the game better. We want players of all
experience levels to enjoy the game, not just the hardcore. We’ll talk more about
this stuff later, but we want to make sure all players enjoy the game. Custom Arenas
will help here as well, because players can find arenas where they feel comfortable,
and play the game with the same players every day while they learn the game, etc.

[DONE]*1 team vs. 1 team. Like with other things, I was going to do a more robust blog on
this later, but we are doing this. We will be testing out Temple of the Silent Storm
for tournament rotation play by doing a 1 team vs. 1 team setup (as opposed to the
8 team setup we use in tournaments). This will mean only two teams play, one wins,
one loses. It will cost less to enter these 1on1 matchups than tournaments, but
rewards will also be scaled down. You won’t have to go multiple rounds, and once a
match is over, both teams can jump right back into the pool. So overall, compared
to tournaments, it will have less rewards, but it’s quicker to play and easier to get
into/out of. We’ll be testing this system in the near future to see how it works, and if
feedback is positive, we may look at trying to incorporate the 1on1 format into PvP.
We know that free tournaments are going almost all the time, but we recognize that
paid tournaments are having some issues right now, so have been listening to you
and have made plans to improve the experience. You guys have made some great
suggestions, and a lot of your ideas are in alignment with the things propounded in
our internal meetings. So thank you for all your passion and suggestions!

That’s all I can say for now on that stuff for now. I’ll try to jump back in this thread during
the week as time allows.

Matchmaking is working, you just can not see what is your score/place.
In SOTG they said that they wont show the numbers for example:
Your rating is 1234.
You will see smth like that ( if i understand right ),
You are 764 (place in ladder).
The game needs to have smth to strive for, and ANET knows it better than you think, so i think they will release it as soon as possible.

I belive that in spvp characters schould have the same size.
Skill casting animations are much harder to recognize on Asuras,
for example: Banish Guardian Hammer 4th skill.
If player is able to see what’s coming, he is able to counter it! That would make GW2 more enjoyable to play but also watch on streams or spectator (when it’s ready).

I know that hitboxes are the same for every model.
That’s just an idea, and many games used the same model to make game more fair and competitive.
What do you pvpers and Anet think about that?

I am voicing the common feeling of some of us and thus I’m raging on the forums. I’m trying to reply with constructive feedback and thus I’m raging again. Now the casuals are calling it a “l2p issue” of the “pros” (when the actual problem will be for the casuals once they start to do tournaments). I am being poked with ignorant and useless sarcasm for trying to give some feedback from some of us.

Let’s keep going in this direction dear forum users, it will make this game awesome for sure.

Obviously you all know better and don’t need any extra feedback, GL HF in tournaments.

This update is great because:
1. It was stupid to watch someone constantly swapping weapons. I casted rock barrier on elem every time when i was out of combat, that makes “good plays”?
2. You could change amulet and counter team comp, now you have to build all around or predict what to wear. No braindead combacks (they killed us, i swap amulet we win 111!!)
3. You couldnt change the build to be power/condition right away with simply swaping amulet.
4. Now actually mobility skills are worth something, and you will want to have them if you are roamer, not just click for weapon in your bag to move faster.
5. Your community action against Anet is pathetic, please stahp, delete the post, edit .
6. You said GOOD (pro I LOLD) players can adapt, so now adapt to that GREAT UPDATE kitten You are full of sheet to be honest.
7. Anet thanks for being smart, now matchmaking and we are fine bros.
8. All the best 2 Danto, and the rest “pro” whiners, open your eyez.

Let me speak for Royal Legion im 16th in EU players QP list so i’m kinda wannabe pro.
That change for Underwater Map would be amazing. Because ppl would’ve reason to fight underwater and finally learn underwater skills..

Suicide 5th skill, increasing respawn timers, yeah I agree.

We’ll see what Anet will ship in next update, but the time is short.

We all are in the same bag, newbies, noobs, pros, good players, try hards.
Anet you have to reach for that bag, and use some sort of magnet (leaderboards based on ELO) to separate us.

I hate to win against new teams, who just want to have fun. We wreck them, and then what we are supposed to say? Sorry! Because i feel that way. I crushed someones will to play, because last game they were doing good.. What happened? They may ask themselves, everyone is silent.

Guardians w/o mace bug + svanir runes can be taken down 100 x faster than it was before so now guardians will be harder to kill than other proffesions, but calling them bunkers… nah bros. (They have got the lowest HP base in game)
Elementalist bunker staff, finally nerfed.
Now those randomly using skills ele’s will have to l2p actually. Treb cant be takend down with meteor shower on tanky builds that’s good.
Thiefs: -50% dancing daggers, guys open your eyes.
That skill could hit 3 times and hit 2/3 of backstab dmg, lets count: it used to hit twice backstab dmg. If you play w/o using any defensive strategy, or escape mechanism, dont be suprised that theif can take you out. You just play bad.

The bad thing is QP ranking, because u never lose your QP, so the player who plays more, can earn more.
My team is casual, we still got 15 QP, because we play good, but we can’t play every day for 4h+ so we will never catch up even if we beat the top teams.

Air rune -25% sure sir: it will hit now much less in whole game. Every 10 seconds you lose 25% of burst you used to have. Whole game is 15 min, do the math.

Arena.net cant buff you guys they strive for perfect balance. I’m former closed beta player of league of legends, there was “jax” then “mr. yi” OP, but they did the nerfs, not instantly, but after long time this game came up to something. So will GW 2 do, because I like this game much more than i used to like League of Legends.

You get punished for playing legit, that’s sick.

One week ago when ppl didnt abused guardian mace bug (they thought it got fixed) so much we were able to play and stand a chance. Now if the guardian takes ur point. Leave keyboard go make tea.

Top teams using it (not all ofcoz), on streams, nothing happens.
Didnt you guys banned players for buying karma weapons? Now check logs from paid tourn.

AIR RUNE dmg warrior because they are rezing, gets hit for 6k from air rune. Working on downed, rly?

Basically when you use short bow on thief u can get past the gate to the Lord w/o destroying the gate (opposing team will not get information: “Your base is under attack”), should it work like that?
Maybe that needs fix, because it seem a little bit unfair, but that’s just my opinion.

Looking for Arena Net statement about this.
