I am still unable to play in the US, it appears to be the same issue as the rest of you.

Minimum 2 second pause after pressing any skill. Enemy animations occur after the action. I have only been in the heart of the mists and pvp matches, but it has been awful. Completely unplayable.
I am getting good (13-20) fps, but whenever I use my skills there is a distinct 2 second pause before they respond. Also in Pvp enemy animations occur after they have performed the action. How do I fix this problem? It is very recent
Thanks
Go to the Heart of the Mists and test each one out until you find something you like.
Hello,
I have all the recipes to the endless Wintersday tonics, but I am a little short on cash for actually making them to complete the collection. If I have the recipes will I be able to make all the tonics even after Wintersday is gone?
Thanks
It looks amazing, unfortunately, I have not been playing long enough to have had the chance to purchase this from the GemStore.
This is a simple request:
Being back the Phantom’s Hood to the GemStore, even if it is a limited time sale.
Thanks
Attached is what I would do if I had it!

Hello,
I have been farming Black Lion Ticket Scraps and I almost have enough for a skin. I was thinking of getting the new Phoenix Sword as it looks quite good, but I don’t know what to match it to in an outfit. I would be using the sword on Mesmer (human), Ranger (sylvari), Warrior (human), and Guardian (human).
What have you guys used as outfits with the new sword?
Thanks
In TPVP, full zerker gives you about 1.5-2.5k auto-attacks
It has no effect on the recharge of the F2 ability. This needs to be fixed ASAP.
Well, In wanted the trait for PvP. And I thought that you could get it in Orr or through map completion.
Not sure if this is in the right forum…(if not can a mod please move it? thanks)
But I wanted to test the new alchemy grandmaster trait and I was told that if I completed Harathi Hinterlands on my engineer I would unlock it. So I got on my level 32 engineer and completed it. I didn’t get any trait, just 20 Portabella mushrooms. Does anybody know why?
Thanks
Try this to kill people in seconds:

Roll both!
All in all I think ranger seems more to your liking. As characters they can be far more varied than engineers. Ranger is very fun in and can be very effective in TPvP (if you want any builds let me know what type). Like I said at the start you can always roll both, but it seems to me you would like Ranger to start. That said, both classes are great and I am sure you will be happy with whatever you pick.

Here is a tanky build I sometimes play:

I HATE it when people shoot down a build because “it isn’t the best” or “isn’t good in the meta”, I’ll have you know I destroy people with my full melee soldiers ranger, my alchemy rifle engineer and my pistol condi thief even if they aren’t “meta”. They are fun builds and I run them because I enjoy them. I don’t need to rely on using only certain builds to win because that is boring. Keep it up Jebro
I used to know a sword/horn and GS beastmaster build that was quite strong, if you want I can try to find it again
Yes! Rangers have some crazy condition damage, check out this build:

SD is an interesting build in that it is extremely potent if played well, but mediocre if not played well. Because it is a fairly tough build to play, most people who run it are not very effective in anything but 1v1s which is why your team is angry. The opposing team would get mad if you played it well as it can be quite effective. Your team might also be angry because SD has limited uses in TPvP as it doesn’t perform that well in team fights and can’t bunker home or far. It is mostly accepted that SD is not a good choice for TPvP as engineers have many more versatile and effective builds for the point-centric style of game-play involved. I have also attached a link to the SD build that I personally run when I run SD.

Hello,
I was wondering whether the mine created by the new Firearms trait “Bunker Down” granted Aegis when you had the new Tools trait “Gadgeteer”
Thanks!
Also, if it does would this be effective?

Thanks for the input! I have never used rifle in pvp, but with the new patch I had access to my engineer’s col skin so I thought I would give it a shot (pun intended). I have run a sword/sword condi build for a long time and it seems like I should stick with it.
Hello,
I was wondering whether anyone had a rifle build for TPvP they wanted to share. I am looking for a sort of hybrid build that can be effective at assaulting the far point.
Thanks!
I have not had the opportunity to test it in WvW yet
Perhaps you could use my build with swords instead of axes and with ogre runes it might be more to your fancy
Is there a specific reason you are using a sword for a power build? The sword is a condition weapon and is far, far more effective at filling that role. The axe is the best one handed power weapon for warriors. I have quite a fun axe/axe build that might fill your needs. I have included a link below to the build. (Also as a side note the link has runes of the soldier, but the runes of the ogre, pirate, sanctuary and strength are all very effective as well)
Let me know if you tested it and what you though of it or whether you have any questions.
Hello!
I was playing around with the new traits and runes and sigils and I came up with this crazy build that gives the ranger access to all the conditions in the game and permanent 10-25 stacks of bleed and the ability to levy those conditions onto in a matter of seconds which is something that was previously only available to condition necromancers.
The build has insane condition spike and can melt almost anyone in a matter of seconds even bunkers. I have attached the build in the link below and I hope everyone enjoys the build.
Also, I appreciate any and all feedback!

Also I want to make the trait highly rewarding to more skilled players. The trait is set such that the Ranger (through his pet) grows stronger and stronger throughout the fight as might is stacked up on the pet. This makes it so that the longer the Ranger stays in the fight and the more effectively he uses his evades the stronger he becomes.
The problem is that 15% to destroy one projectile is so limited and so RNG based. Having to go 6 points in for something that should be a master trait is the problem. My suggestion was based around reducing the RNG nature, making it something that is more actively used (evades grant might to pet) and more valuable for 6 points. Also, my suggestion was made with the idea that it might open up new build options that use melee and beast-master, two things that rangers have had many problems with in the past. A small chance to block projectiles is less fun than being able to actively work on buffing your pet through evades. As for the stomping, I have found the trait Shared Anguish to be plenty effective at negating interrupts for stomps and revives (as well as the trait Hide in Plain Sight)
I certainly think it could work and if you are concerned with survivability you could use dire stat gear. Alternatively you could make a power version using the runes of Strength and soldier/knights stats. I think if you use the tanky set (dire/soldier) on weapons and armor and the damage set (rabid/knights) in accessories you can get a nice hybrid. In a power version of course you would use rifle (battle and strength sigils) and I would say swap kit refinement for speedy kits
Hello!
Anyone know any alchemy builds that use the rifle? (TPvp)
Thanks!
I have an axe/axe build I use in spvp that is quite fun.
Here it is:
axe/axe: blood and air sigils
rifle/longbow (personal choice): blood and air sigils
runes of the soldier, runes of the traveler, runes of swiftness, runes of the pirate, runes of the ogre, or runes of the sanctuary (again, it is your personal choice)
Knight gear (tough, power, prec)
2 V
6 V II XIII
0
6 II VII XII

Permanent 3-15 stacks of might, fury and swiftness
kind of hybrid/tanky dps
Let me know if you use it/like it!
Well worth it, mesmer is so much fun
Yes! 20-25 stacks permanently for the whole team, great trait
If it was your original name: 9/10
Because it is stolen: 2/10
Mine: Eruinn
I actually made a build around the krait runes, here it is:
Axe/Dagger (blood, corruption) krait runes, rabid amulet
2 III
2 II
4 VI VII
6 IV VII XIII
0
pet is personal choice, I find the reef drake to be effective as this build has such a wide variety of conditions and that adds one more type (with so many different condis it is tough to clear them all)
troll unguent, sun spirit, LR, sharpening stone, entangle
with perm fury uptime (with fury=59% crit chance) and 10-25 stacks of bleed as well as almost if not all other condis in the game, most people crumble to this build
The build has very low cooldowns and high condi spike
it has some tankiness, but you must play it very aggressively to win (you must kill them as quickly as possible as you can’t outlast them)
With the Spirit, 2 sharpening stones, entangle (and the krait elite skill proc which applies bleed, torment and poison), axe bleeds, axe chill axe weakness, dagger poison, dagger cripple and bleed, bleed on crits, drake confusion they should always be suffering a variety of conditions
Ranger actually has pretty strong conditions, for condi spike try this:
Axe/Dagger (blood, corruption) krait runes, rabid amulet
2 III
2 II
4 VI VII
6 IV VII XIII

I have found Strider’s Defense to be deeply disappointing and I have a suggestion for how it can be improved:
GM trait (skirmishing line)
Strider: When wielding a sword you have a 30% chance to gain retaliation on hit for 4 seconds (icd: 10 seconds), when you evade an attack, grant might to your pet, deal 5% more damage with sword
Thoughts?
Thanks
^Survivability comes from Troll Heal, toughness, and evades (but again I must stress that this build is not the tankiest)
Ok, so I found that wildy survival tends itself to offense rather than defense so I built around that. The build I came up with has insane condi spike and dps.
Axe/Dagger (blood, corruption) krait runes, rabid amulet

I have NOT tried to roaming in WvW with this build and it may not be effective there. It was made for sPvP far assault.
I am also working on making a possible wilderness survival condi build, I will update you on how that goes
For BM Condi, you could use something that is like
0
30 V VII XI
0
10 III
30 II IV XIII
Using Apothecary’s/Settler’s/Dire gear with Dwayna runes,
using an eagle or other bleeding bird
2 traps and signet of wild
also for weapons I would say axe/dagger and sword horn (with heal spring for leap and blast finishers) and leeching and corruption on each and constant switching to maximize cooldowns
I have had a lot of fun with this one
Hello
I recently found this picture: http://www.creativeuncut.com/gallery-11/art/gw2-corsair-pirate.jpg and I was wondering whether there is a certain armor combination that could look similar or have a similar feel.
Thanks
Hello,
After seeing this new trait I was at first happy, then deeply disappointed. I really want a grandmaster trait specifically for melee rangers, and one with more defense seems like a step in the right direction. Unfortunately Strider’s Defense as currently proposed has many issues.
1. It only blocks ranged attacks. I don’t understand the reasoning behind this, why make it so that it is only effective against certain weapons, or to a greater extent, certain classes (Ex: Not too many thieves use pistols and short-bow)
2. 15% is too low. 15% is too unreliable and unless they are using many fast ranged attacks it will barely proc during a fight making it rather useless.
3. Too RNG based/no skill/too passive. You get the trait and do nothing to take advantage of it, it is just a very weak passive ability (not nearly strong enough for GM).
I really want a trait designed solely with melee rangers in mind that is actually good. I would love to hear any suggestions you guys have to improve this trait, or suggestions fort a new one altogether.
Thanks
Hello,
I have several characters who use a one handed sword:
Ranger (sylvari), Warrior (norn), Guardian (human), Thief (human) and Mesmer (human).
I like the sword on warrior, guardian, and ranger the most.
Are there any armor combinations that would look good with Bolt with these classes/races?
Thanks
“For players who attain the highest tier, there’s a chance for ascended materials and rewards from previous Living World releases.”
Does this include the Fused Gauntlet tickets? I would love to be able to get my hands on a pair of Fused Gauntlets.
Thanks
I have also found a massive drop in frame rate. Before the update I was running at around 30 fps with medium graphics and now I find that I can only run 9 fps on lowest settings. When i fight an engi or something with lots of particles I go down to 2 fps on lowest settings which is simply unplayable.
