I personally saved up and bought dusk for 703g on TP, was I broke after? Sure. Did it take me a long time to save up? Sure. But I sure as he’ll didn’t blow all my gold on the forge. I save up any rare gs I find from events, dungeons, roaming, etc and use them in the forge, but never spend actual gold to do it. The rng gods don’t smile upon me for that to work.

It’s been stated in the FAQ that the req for bifrost will decrease to 100 unid dyes

think ive done this nearly 200 times (knights / holo) and no rifles. people i know have done it just a few times and get a rifle. rng is so irritating lol. havent even been getting cores from the knight event to compensate :P, im ready for a new patch!

Hey everyone, I was wondering if anyone knew a good source for crafting guides? I’ve found many websites but I’m not interested in ones that tell you to buy half the thing from the TP, nor ones that just tell you what mats you need and what to make(but not how to make it). Just something simple and well detailed, mainly for 0-400 and not 500+ (though my armor smithing is at 435 and I wouldn’t mind a guide for that either). Appreciate any help I get with this thanks.

ive gotten this…worked as intended when i did what was intended. not much else to say really. OH go hang out in the back of the room where the lazers cant touch ya, easy method if its too difficult to do legit.

did it on first try once i read that quickness speeds up the finisher…. with ranger i use rampage as one for swiftness (stability a plus) , longbow stealth in, quickening zephyr, and stomp to win.

This was pretty easy when I tried. I did this with my 80 ranger. What I did was for the first part against the large hologram, I attacked using a longbow 1 and 3 skill (the multi shot one) ONLY when I had the prime attune ment. I made sure auto attack was off, never switched weapons, and once the attune ment buff started blinking that it was wearing off I stopped attacking. When the giant hologram splits apart I completely stopped attacking and just healed and reZed ppl until they reformed into a large hologram. From there I just avoided attacking and being hit and managed to get no more tricks scarlet and in tuned on same run

i got the achievement when he was behind the bank vault in the traders forum or whatever its called.

IMO scarlet could really use some mass aoe skills or something lol, i dont think i ever see a player get downed if its a 200 v 1 fight.

Don’t call out the system as problematic because you won’t have a thing RIGHT NOW. Those characters that you got “finished” will get presents on their birthdays too. Characters made today will get presents one year from today.

i wouldn’t have bothered posted if I had started any later than day 1, as I would understand I’d need to wait. But I HAVE been there since pre day one, just like many others. At least it’s just a mini, no big deal thankfully, lol.

the reward system for the birthday gifts is kind of….well, REALLY stupid. I’ve been here since the early release in August, but I sure as hell don’t have any characters that survived that long (especially with my constant remaking with no makeover kits or name changes back then). So I do hope they will somehow make it when the account was “born” rather than a character that comes and goes.

Ranger 30/30/10 zerker gear (runes all over the place, not fully set up yet) Sword / dagger for the orbs (plus an 2 extra evades is really nice, though i never used them) and Shortbow. dagger offhand gave a few stacks of bleed and cripple to keep her off me in phase 2 while i used shortbow for kiting, cripple, and dazing to keep her at a distance. Utilities i had were sig of the hunt/stone and sharpening stone. Though i think it would have gone smoother with a little change on those. I used sig of the stone to give my pet some time to survive as it does a lot of damage to her, and pretty much just tried to stack as many bleeds as i could since the LB wasn’t cutting it for me.

Well, each section of the arena downstairs (where all the bosses spawn) have glorious chests (1 per) hidden somewhere in the area, that will give you a ticket. So the boss + this = 2 ticket (dont know how fast chest respawn though, dont think that fast at all). Still not that efficient though. I hear ya because I was thinking the exact same thing. I wouldn’t even mind all the dying and difficulty but, I’d love to be able to keep at it without having to worry about the tickets.

Another thing is that you can buy them from the emissaries at the waypoint, for I believe 15 sprockets and 20 silver for 5 tickets. I ended up spending at least 3g to finish Liadri.

Ranger is the worst of the classes to cope with Liadri. Get her to the final phase and sustaining only your damage on her because your pet is dead from the beginning is just such shoddy display of game design.

If you’re not going to get all classes to work properly, don’t bother adding classes you don’t plan to fix. Outside spvp ranger is just one ball of frustration. The pet is instantly dead in wvw. It is instantly dead in dungeons. It is instantly dead in gauntlets. It’s instantly dead in DE’s with aoe happy bosses.

I’m sorry but you are giving rangers a bad name, my bed doesn’t die in WvW, it doesn’t die in dungeons or even fractals.

Actually play the class and stop using complaints as a crutch.

hes got a point though…how can such a good portion of our damage be put into the pets when they die so often? they were of near zero use during liadri. what i managed to do was use signet of stone during phase 2 to give my pet some free hits, but thats just a few seconds till its instakilled by the wells. mind you ive beaten liadri with my ranger, but it would of been a LOT easier if i wasnt handicapped from the start.

Titles have always been given for temporary content so i dont really know what your talking about lol, sanctum sprinter? emissary of the mad king? apprentice toy maker? etc. Why not have one for Liadri? Well, the gauntlet as a whole.

i just beat every challenge (boss) with my ranger, cheers. (not every achievement yet, i doubt ill try the 8 orbs, thats pure madness at this point with the bugs and all).

this fight is a joke…u dont even need all the orbs. first time i did it was just going about it like a normal mob. second time i did it for the achievement, 25 stacks of might that stay on u for 2-3 minutes, and u cant spike him down? your missing something

I don’t think these jumps are all that difficult….even people in my guild that term at JP have managed to easily get the 40 crystals. You don’t need to get then all anyway; if one is too difficult skip it, maybe come back to it. As for the Halloween puzzle, that was extremely entertaining. Sure people got frustrated at all the fails but we always had a blast failing. It clearly wasn’t impossible, as many people eventually finished it. The winter JP was a joke compared to it. Now the gripe I had with the aether blade JP was there should have been checkpoint areas like in EBjp, where you wouldn’t need to completely start over in the event you fell after a given point.

yea id have to say tier 3 heavy for charr is one of the only armors that actually look good. like an earlier poster said, how can u be so lazy to add a new skin to the tail and leave tail clipping behind?

My charr is a mesmer, Ulthane the Crazed. As with the above poster, low lvl, no point in showing off armor.

lol i get quite a few disconnects every hour, the worst was being sent to character select (sometimes out of the game completely) 4 times within 10 minutes. I get lucky if i can finsih any type of dungeon without bugging out. even simple 1 on 1 fights with a mob can turn into a lagfest. ive run tests with my ISP several times to know its not ENTIRELY their fault (they suck in general). fix this!! now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

@raze ,been getting that error as well. along with others of course. love when the patches make things even worse, and that it takes forever to get a fix for a fix?

this has been going on for me ever since i put in the sky pilot patch and what not on june 25th, ive done so many different things in hope of fixing it, but i constantly drop to character selection. lots of lag spikes where people run into walls and skills take forever to fire off, while guild chat runs perfectly fine. this is getting to the point where the game is becoming impossible to play, which is quite sad because i quite enjoy it.

they probably have the droprate of lodestones….if that. lol, but i guess if that was the case someone out there would have reported obtaining one. its kind of anets MO by now, all about the gem store woop woop. whats the exchange rate now, a gold for 45 gems or somethin? sweet.

i managed to get the achievement done with just a group of 5, frankly i thought that was the max anyway, and it wasnt that difficult at all, could of gone through tons of waves if it was necessary lol. It took me 3 instances to find a group of people dedicated to earning the title but once that was done it was cake. I do agree that you should have been able to enter with friends, as this would have made it tons more fun. As far as presents go I only managed to get like 3 giant ones and thats about it. So if you’re not looking for presents and just want to have some fun this is great.

I enjoyed all the mini games Wintersday had to offer. Bell choir was super hard for me at first, but now its rare to get under 590 ending score. The jumping puzzle was a LOT easier than mad kings tower….so thank god for that. Not the biggest fan of snowball mayhem (not a pvp person) but even that was pretty fun at times. Toypocalypse was a great turret defense game.
