An easier and completely possible solution would be to use the little red bar that other skills have under them when a target is out of range. Went past the working distance for the portal exit? Red line under the skill to let you know.

Friend of mine had the same problem and I fixed it, if you have a shared inventory slot put any of the LS3 map scrolls/the book in that slot and use it to get out of that instance.

With deadeye coming up I’ve noticed that pistols and rifles don’t really have any back pieces that specifically go with them, so why not add a bandolier item that wraps a belt of bullets around the player, it could probably be worked into a shoulder or back skin very well and I know I’d buy it.

I really loved deadeye but I feel like some tweaks need to be made to kneel. Perhaps make it slow you to 50% speed or something instead of being completely immobile.I also feel like the standing skills should have the 1500 range as it feels a little weird that a rifle suddenly shoots further because you took a knee.

I think people are overreacting. You have to be immobile and wait a good length of time with the person KNOWING they’re marked, if they’re not constantly being shot at they should know what’s coming and react accordingly. A deadeye is not just popping off a bunch of massive damage shots at range without some thought being put into it and a little bit of luck.

I know and I love it, shoot a mean look at some random critter and stack swiftness/fury.
Especially easy since all the stolen deadeye skills do some small amount of damage you can just kill them at 1500 range instantly.

So since we, for some unknown reason, only get two beta slots anyone who wants to test out all the classes has to delete characters over and over. My Renegade will not delete even after typing in the name and accepting.

Death’s retreat doesn’t add to Lead Attacks and I’m not sure if this is a bug or by design but you lose your stolen skill if you haven’t used it and kill your mark.

I’m honestly expecting it to be higher. If you have a character that’s finished central tyria mapping and gotten all of the hero points in HoT you will have at least 363 (not sure if I’ve gotten any wvw hps on the toon I checked) excess hero points. They don’t need to make it some horrendous challenge just to get the elites but I think since we’re going into the second expansion they might wanna make it a little bit harder

I’ve done enough WvW to get a few Gifts of Battle under the new reward track system. The issue I have is that WvW mobs are not very similar to the mobs in the new PoF maps (you know those maps I’ll probably want to spend a lot of time in if I buy the expansion) and more similar to core map mobs. So even if I go slap around WvW mobs with the new elite specs I don’t think I’ll really get a feel for how they perform in PoF PvE. Toss in always having to look over my shoulder for enemy players looking to gank “PvE scrubs”, I still think another beta to test elite specs in PvE PoF maps would be useful. Anyway that’s just my opinion.

I think the feedback next weekend will be interesting to say the least.

Giving us two days with the new elites in the little section of the new map would be perfect.

I spend a decent amount of time in wvw but that’s not the place to test it, at least not if you’re a pve player. Some people, myself included, would like a more calm and controlled environment to test them out first so we can get a clear feel for the mechanics without having to worry about a zerg running us over. Would I like to bring one of the new elites in wvw? Hell yeah, that’s one of the reasons I’m excited for deadeye in particular but most people will want to test them out in pve first and don’t forget about queues for wvw which will be horrifically long during the beta.

All this is going to do is cause lot of players to spend little to no time with the elites and cause a significant amount of chaos in wvw.

Suggestion: Icon for HoT map completion.

We get the little gold medal beside our names whenever we map central Tyria, why not give us something smaller for the 4 HoT maps? Maybe some vines around our potrait or a green aura around the gold medal, just a little something to say we’ve seen and done it all in HoT.

Glad someone else noticed that, it’s nice to see a clear visual representation of how much of the healthbar you took down. The movement of the health bars also looked more instant which just looks better as well.

It’d be really handy to have small icons, maybe near the boon/conditions, with a numerical countdown timer so we know when a trait effect can trigger again.

Loving the new meteorlogicus projectiles on my guardian…. then I used zealots defense with bolt and now I never want to use the skill again. It’s seriously BAD. Why couldn’t we get bolts of electricity, hell it could have been the exact same effect as the ele air staff auto attack and I would have been super happy with that.

In ebonhawke there’s a group of chickens and if you attack them enough they turn hostile, they have TONS of health and do decent damage. It made me so happy because it was an easter egg that I wasn’t shown or told about and I found it on my own.

Pretty sure that’s the aura around the mordy vines that spawn during the pact encampment event chain, the one where you have to kill the vine to be able to kill the turned pact sylvari nearby. The vines have an aura around them with line of energy tethering the nearby sylvari to it, night may have fallen right as one of the vines spawned or something to make it stay like that.

More of a weird design decision than a bug. AoEs are actually orb shaped so radius extends in all directions (I’m assuming this was to make it impossible to just jump over stuff like lava font to avoid damage), picture those red rings as the points where the terrain meets the orb and that’s where the attacks land. A good way to see what I mean is to use something like Berserker torch 5 near walls and watch how the AoEs appear on them and any super low ceilings, or overload fire on a tempest and jump which will make the aoe look like it’s shrinking slightly while you’re in the air.

Since the addition of the Braham’s Wolfblood Pauldrons I’ve been wondering if we were going to see more segments of outfits sold as individual skins? I think most players would agree that parts of outfits are something they’d like to use without having to wear the entire outfit. It’d be really nice to get a definitive “yes” or “no” on the subject.

It’s a really good idea that could make anet some extra money for minimal effort while making a good chunk of the playerbase happy.

One thing I’ve noticed about the human/norn/sylvari armor is that the revealing female armor is almost always not revealing on the male version. I feel like both sex options have equal revealing armor options but they’re on different skins. Like armor X may be revealing on a female but will be cover a lot on a male and vice versa.

So it might depend largely on what the player has unlocked just because one skin might be vastly different on the opposite sex.

So after collecting about 9 (maybe 10, I’m not entirely sure atm) I have noticed that some legendaries really need some additions to their effects while others are absolutely swimming in them like Sunrise.

Most recent was Meteorlogicus as it has no arm effect, draw effect, aura OR projectiles and that just doesn’t seem fair since it’s a mainhand like incinerator which has projectiles while being a melee weapon and an arm effect.

Another small one would be Chuka and Champawat because its footfalls last MAYBE a second. They’re beautiful and well made so it sucks that they’re not made to be more visible.

That’s the only two I can think of at the moment but it’d be nice if others added some lackluster effects to this list, maybe get some attention on it so they’ll do to them what they did to Kudzu, FSP etc.

Hypothermia: Not moving for long periods of time, maybe 1 minute each stack, will cause your damage and conditions to do 25% less and you’ll also take 25% more (This would also affect all minions and pets). They should also (and this is a fix I wanted for a long time anyway) make it so that minions cannot attack anything until you actively attack. They could also put in roaming champ enemies that use a long knockback AoE skill to either kill botters or knock them away from where they’re at.

I’m in full exotic (ascended trinket) vipers gear with condition duration food, I get roughly 60% overall condition duration and 80% bleed with my shortbow out. Whenever I mouse over Crossfire it shows the frontal duration as a little over 2 seconds with the side/back duration at nearly 10, when I tested it from the front I was getting around 6-7 seconds of bleeding. I’m not sure if the description is wrong or the applied duration is wrong but something IS wrong.

So Epidemic is still broken.

There seems to be a lot of complaints about how the new epidemic works, so I had an idea: Why not make the projectiles that spawn from the target act like Fridged Blitz’s projectile? Make the shots pass through (without damaging) any other enemies between their firing point and their intended target.
It’ll retain its functionality and be reliable at the same time. I’ve basically stopped using epidemic because of one enemy eating most of the projectiles.

All pocket raptors do this, they’ve all been badly broken since they were first introduced.
They’ll dash at you while immobilized from 700 range and hit you without making contact or even moving, they’ll hit you in mid air, they’ll hit you before their animation even starts and will even try to hit you and miss but still give you a bleed. They are laughably broken.

Chuka and Champaway, Astralaria, Nevermore, Eureka and H.O.P.E are pretty kitten cool.

Legendary Armor: Feedback [merged]

So once legendary armor was announced to be exclusive to raids I had lost 99% of my interest on the spot, I don’t want to spend time dealing with that toxic community for some skins that will also cost me a bunch of money. Then I saw the skins and that other 1% practically backflipped out the window.

Between the clipping, the armor making some weapons sit in odd positions and the absolute insult that is the medium legs transformation…. this is something I just won’t touch. I will still wish that the stat swapping and rune swapping aspect were available to people who don’t mess with raids, even if it were a more expensive or time consuming method.

Portal needs two changes.
1: If you’re too far away from your portal entrance it should have the little red bar that appears under skills when your target is out of range.
2: Make both ends of the portal into a teardrop shape with the pointy bit facing the other end so people know which way they’re going when they use it.

So in guild wars and ONLY guild wars I have recently encountered an issue where I can’t move or attack under certain conditions. Sometimes I’ll be moving forward/right and my auto attack will not activate at all but will work perfectly if I let go of D or W. It also happens in reverse to where if I happen to hit my AA button (left alt) right as I decide to go from moving in a straight path to a diagonal one the new direction won’t register (Backing up and I hit A and alt almost at the same time and my character will continue moving backwards until I let go of A and press it again).

My control scheme has been exactly as it is for a year and a half now and this has only started within the last week. The issue will also go away if I close the game and restart it but that’s obviously not a viable solution.

I had a long and well thought out comment on this and then I realized…. this is a game. There is no discussion that needs to be had. It’s not real. It is not a real living creature and anyone who is this deeply affected or by a small cluster of pixels on a screen probably needs to get out into the real world for once in their life and develop some priorities that aren’t absolute kitten. This is literally the same insanity as peta getting mad at Nintendo for their cow milking 1-2-switch game.

Afterthought: I’m also pretty sure that refunds for anyone who bought it and wants it would be in order if they did ruin the fish, considering the whole draw for the fish was “lul floppin’ fish”. You guys are not only trying to ruin someone else’s fun because of your own impossible ‘moral’ standards but you’re also creating a problem for anet in the process.

I main daredevil and use staff a LOT so it’s needless to say that using vault and aiming it is almost instinctual by now but something has made it kitten near unusable since the patch. Stuff that is in the AoE will just not take damage and it will randomly go slower or not go as far. It’s gotten so bad that I’ve went back to using S/P because vault just feels neutered now.

So I’ve noticed that whenever I use the Thief Dash dodge my spinal blade will rotate onto the right side of my character and turn completely backwards and then snap back to normal after the animation is finished. I’ve only had the chance to see this on my Charr so it may just be them but it could be other races too.
