The only problem i have with any of this is that it will spill over into WvW killing many many builds . If any of these get through Ranger will never see the light of day in WvW anymore , even as a roamer . Power builds are boring by design as in essence it is a burst concept .

The problem is , conditions do the same damage in PvP and WvW but the total amount of stats in PvP is lower . There is no food to boot . One could easily argue that conditions are not a problem in WvW for many classes .

Point i am trying to make : There needs to be a separation between modes . Many styles and builds were killed in WvW due to PvP changes .

The necromancer needs a PVE balance patch, not a PVP balance patch.

I think so many of the change are good, others of the change canot be told untill see them on the game but I miss a chnge for the hel signet from the warrior.

I think the heal signed must be less afective without healing power and obtain a better scale for the healing power, these must givi it option but not be powerbull as it is even with berserker amulet or soldier.

We get to see how Ridley Scott made Blade Runner with a companion DVD special, but in video games, no one talks about all the complex processes that go into making and balancing a game as complex as GW2 (which is basically 3 games in 1, all using the same balance #’s).

Hope this makes sense.

With all my respect but it make no sense to me, if you guys are trying to balance the 3 parts of the game using the same balance, it’s seems crazy to me.

Even in some games like lol, they balance around a classic game type but the characters which are considered top tier in 5vs5 are totally diferent from characters which are considered top tier in 3vs3.

I remember some of the last SoTG you mention that you want to new players in spvp from pve or wvsw to know what their characters do, but I want you to know that everyday that I see new players on the mist i just listen the same question. where are the rings and other accesories apart from the amulet?

You guys split the game to make spvp competitive , I dont understand why you dont divide balance to the same reason.

surely my opinion is not on the same lvl than phantaram or ultima. but I gonna give my opinion about the ele. About the ele combo, I understand how frustating it is but the ppl is traing to nerfs instead os change the mechanic.

A combo that use the 3 utilities skills its just a mechanic problem, as an ele I must use all my utilities offensive it leave me vulnerable to the enemy brusters, another ele or a thief.

Acording what anet says in SoTG they try to divide stunsbreaks between all the diferents kinds of utilitys.

I think that if they remove arcane blast and they create a new defensive arcane utility or add breakstun to arcane shield the problem can be solved.

And ofcourse I’m agree that the bunker ele just disappeared and thats a great problem because all the eles are forced into one role

the OP is not completely wrong the lack of the necro before the patch was the survivability but arenanet give them damage, that’s the fail

I dont see so much problem with the AOE in specific, when some aoe damage is overpower, it is broken in general like it was when some 1 target damage was overpower like the backstab combo at the start, but in some high lvl tournaments on the streams, like pharadigm invitational or curse tournaments, we can see how in some moments teams can res the mates so many times, and other times when someone of the team die so fast the enemy team have all damage if they try to res.

I consider it like a fail for one team or a good play by the other team, it can be so annoying if res is too easy, we can see again so much bunkers and res traits and boring fight. The long team fights between good teams are very exciting.

But no matter what, the meta is the meta and it change constantly and good players can adapt to it.

It always amuses me when people believe that a build can be good at both direct and condition damage. Not to mention this isn’t a Mesmer change, it is also an Engineer change.

Really though, if you die because of Confusion from a Power Mesmer (a.k.a. Shatter or Phantasm), you probably deserved to lose.

Yes. of course thats the reason because some of the best shatter mesmers choose the trait from 33% more confusion duration, they are trolling, in a duel aganist mesmer you can’t evade mind wrack you gona die from direct damage confusion do nothing.

the idea of the nerf is good but i think the change is not the right, if they want change it to be focused as a dps because if you dont hit it takes more cd atm it punish the dps because it can be evaded or blinded and the cd is 40s then, on the other hand the bunker ele have more options to be alive untill the cd restore or just for use it as an mobility skill because he dont need it to do the combo.

hotjoin don’t help players to learn, even it don’t help to try new things for tournaments, and now you can’t go to tournaments without be 100% sure to do the best, when you can lose rating

I can be a troll and say that rank don’t mean nothing,but you and me know that’s false but for the mmr the ppl with rank 40 and ppl with rank 1 who start in the new mmr system, they both have the same rank.

That’s a fail, you are right and the ppl who just start, like you, need a place to learn tournaments ( since in hotjoin you can’t learn nothing) I feel sorry for you and I hope Arenanet understand the priority to add some system for learn play and enjoy start in the Tpvp

condition characters based on tf have disappeared because the bunkers meta works around ele and shout guard, both clean conditions to allies and this hurt they so much, but conditions still been the problem of bunkers in 1vs1, these is why some ppl says that bunkers counter conditions and others says the opposite, both have some points

I really think that you dont saw and participated on the 8teams tournaments. When I didn’t have mates to play in paids usually I saw some stream, I could saw strategies, learn how I must do and enjoy some great matches. The strategy and meta change so many times, more because the players discoveries than about the class balances, at the start so many ppl think the same that you

hotjoins need to be removed the actual 1vs1 team must replace it and with one first mmr based in rank before rank 30 for example or somethink like that , separate duo/solo queu of premade queu and another ranked games with the new ladder then all the ppl casual who play hotjoin have the chance to play one normal game with ppl of their lvl and they have some reason to win, more glory if you win than if you lose, and the competitive players still having ranked games.

thats is how it must be but you need a player base for it thats the problem

What i see and think.

Players questions: I’m surprise how questions from 2 competitive players was in the majority around how to increase the population and do the game more casual friendly, even when competitive scene is 0 after paids has been removed. It was just loyalty and impresive from your part.

Devs: The answers about class balances was just a descripcion of what you think the character must be, and honnestly that’s show me how little they know about meta and competitive play, minions necro mantras used to take damage no change for time warp or portal.

Honestly now i see why the game is going imbalanced you give good points for balance , mug damage, more variety builds, but you need help you dont see the good teams playing and how they play and what they abuse or what characters they spam or repeat over and over.

After all I really think the devs need spectator mode and ladder for themselves and they can do pretty well, but now we just need these features to start a good balance and thats must improve. But competitive players are worried about population, becaue without population the ladder, the spectator, can’t save the game and I pray for a real competitive spvp.

For the last one think hurt me so hard. “we want the same skills for pve and pvp, because people who come from pve know what they do”. The skill can do the same but the stats in spvp are totally diferent than wvsw or pve pls noone can come to spvp and know how the skill works in that kind of pvp pls consider it.

Sorry for my English and I hope after ladder and spectator the actual state of the game improve

I really think that this mmr is to go down not to go up, after so much time playing solo and duo queu i start to find mates who know about the game mechanics and what you need to win, not to farm glory. But i see some low ranks in some games.

I think about that and my conclusion is that you start with one rank and the majority of players go down, just some premades go up where they just face between they all the time. But when someone start in the tournaments, he/she go directly to medium lvl (good soloqueuers) instead of low lvl.

this is annoying for the soloq players and scares new players from the tournaments

They must remove hot join and give a ranked game separated of normal free torunraments 2 teams, then ppl who don’t have the time to find a team can join solo in normal games and learn the game and ppl who want to play competitive can play ranked games. otherwise ppl gona complain about balance in hotjoin and they never gona balance one game of 5vs5 in a 8vs8 game when the ppl dont do any strategi to win

A misunderstanding—people who talk about adding features for casuals are trying to think of ways to increase the PvP population. If we were rank 5 baddies who just wanted everything in the game to be catered to our casual level, we wouldn’t be spending time in the forums.

The problem is that rank 5 baddies aren’t having fun, so they’re leaving. Right now, with 1 team vs 1 team, casuals are coming back. Ergo, it would be a good idea to have a 1 team vs 1 team option for casuals.

You are right but I refer to so much hate post to try to insult to hardcore players and said that their opinion shouldn’t count, really I don’t see that kind of post so often but you can see ppl who think that what they said is always truth, of course that’s not the usually here but I’m just afraid of that become normal here.

But of course 1vs1 is perfect and it pop all day, I think ppl must understand the opinion of the rest, and its obvious that 1 vs 1 team give some hope for the population of the pvp and in my opinion with the usually duration of 1vs1 mach can be possibly remove hotjoin and get 1vs1 free as normal mach for new ppl to improve with one simple matchmaking with rank (I know it don’t represent nothing but just let ppl with rank 5 learn) but there still be a problem when some more experienced players must go some time for free because they need tickets.

The problem here is that you want to play without a voice system just play with ppl that let you do XD , of course if you find it.

I see how ppl cry about casual community need to be helped and hardcore players accept and some of they try to help.

But now hardcore players get bored and lose competition, what is the response of casual players on the forums? do it more casual even if hardcore players get bored and quite. Jesus a ppl still saying thinks like nolifer, elitist and arrogant.

Come on we need did if for all and its easy, ladder, and separate queues.

The current meta and things like ele bunkers must be balanced but when I read the forum thinks like YOU MUS’T NERF THAT! I really think that the ppl is demanding is just 5dps vs 5dps going to 1 point and killing each others the winer make 3 caps and repeat it till one of the teams take 500 points (90% the winner of the first fight).

Please guys i really want one game with strategy tons of differents comps and diferents builds for every character tanky, condi, suporter, cc, spike

my team most of time kill lord but we need previous destroy gate, than open portal on graveyard send the rest of team for midle point than i open again portal near lord. with 3-4 guys and time warp we only focus on lord and are be able to kill him very quick (when have TM up), this i can say is tactic.
