Since the API needs an update anyway, perhaps you could also add an skirmish-history for the current matchup?
If it’s to heavy for the Details-Call perhaps add a new endpoint? Something like wvw/matches/2-1/history?
The WvW-API is working, but the Tiles service still delivers the old map.
If you do a vertical flip of the foreground instead of “FlipForegroundVertical” the API returns “FlipForegroundHorizontal”.
I thought triggers always appear after the actual hit? At least sigils do.
Somehow Glacial Heart did proc even though I evaded and blocked two attacks.
Not sure if this is a bug or if all on-crit procs can trigger on blocked.
Why is Mirror Blade hitting the same target 4 times when other classes bounces in the game don’t bounce when there is nothing else to bounce too? Thiefs Trick Shot and Rangers Ricochet for example are not hitting a single target multiple times.
Also I noticed, that Mirror Blade hits me 4 times on my ranger with my living pet right next to me, should have been two hits to me and 2 to the pet.
I lose around 40-50% of my health just from reta, since every nade you throw procs a reta instead of every nade skill. To me that just isn’t fair, and makes the otherwise really good medium ranged kit useless in WvW.
Ever played a ranger and tried a barrage into a zerg with retal?
It actually looks like it’s casting Blinding Powder on Steal, which would have a Cooldown. But I’m not 100% sure and it’s for sure not what the trait says.
It is swiss style, that is correct. Certainly worlds might get matched up against one another more than once, but the nature of the matchmaking is going to minimize that, especially in conjunction with the 4 week timeframe.
Look at the EU matchups this week and compare them to the first week. This is just joke.
1. Combat log is deactivated by default, you have to set what you want to see in the chat settings menu.
2. standard enemy models are supposed to only work in ranked pvp. (Haven’t tested that yet, though.)
Also affects the asura summoned elite series-7 golem. Try one on a gate for lols.
I wanted to check out some armor skins using chat codes from the wiki. The wardrobe system is nice, but it still lacks. And the trading post only shows complete armor skins and not single parts of it.
So I went ot the Eye of the North to not bother anybody with my chat code posting in chat. Only, I got suppressed in chat with being the only one around.
Would be nice if you could disable chat suppression in home instances / eye of the north.

There seem to be some problems with shadowsteps. Some are old, some I only experience for the last week or two. Most are
1. You can’t shadowstep on certain locations. Like on the bridge in Hills keep in the borderlands or on some bridges in EotM. It just won’t teleport you.
2. You can’t shadowstep up on steps in keeps. This doesn’t event work with Infiltrator’s Arrow (shortbow #5)
3. Sometimes the groundtargeting of “Shadowstep” just locks on my character and won’t move with my mouse.
4. Steal sometimes takes me to the selected target for a split second (i get the stolen skill) and then just teleports me right back to where I was.
Would be nice if these could get fixed. (Preferably without breaking other stuff.)
That thief was running no signets (iirc) and had no might stacks. His sigils have been bloodlust and fire. Basilisk venom was active. That was on around 2.4k armor.
I’m still wondering what he was running.
Edit: He was fully buffed with guard leech and 25 stacks of bl.
Just remember that you will wipe when we are there in equal numbers, doesn’t matter when, where or how, you will wipe. Even to those ego-tripping people with 202K kills who make videos about themselves and how great they are, they will wipe too.
And then there’s situations like today around 5 am cet: 2-3 deso vs ~5 ag in ag garrison and guess who won?

So i crafted an ascended sword because S/D on a thief was good. It required skill and really wasn’t too easy to play. With the last patch that build is not viable anymore and I am thinking about alternatives. But that’s not the point here. The point is, that once a certain weapon gets useless for a char you can’t use it on another char. You can’t salvage it, sell it or do anything at all. That kitten ascended sword costs a hell of a lot of time and is absolutly useless now.
Same problem will soon be with armor. This game gets more and more frustrating to play.
Why is it even possible to get for more damage then you have hp? I mean it would be ok, if a trebshot hit me like a truck but a npc?
Didn’t read the the 34 pages and I’m pretty sure it already has been written somewhere: Why add an cast time on Shadow Return? Thiefs have no access to stability, the only way to get out of chained cc means blowing an utility and that is just for one cc.
This looks like a typical anet thing. Can thiefs still escape warriors? Yes? Oh, ok lets change that.
So what do we have then? Lots of initiative but no time to spend it because we are cc’d all the time. gg!
Just one question: When was the last time an aurora glade group met an equal sized organized deso group during their so called primetime?
Our guild is mostly running in a small group of 5-10 and I just have to see any attack of us which isn’t stopped by an aurora guild group of 30+ even if there’s at least our numbers watching us from the ramparts for 5 minutes. And yes, there are these hilarious moments when you’re too slow and just come in a split second too late to stop us from capping. Like yesterday in Sunny Hill. I was the warrior running back into the tower and dying because I had to laugh so hard I totally forgot to pick up my loot. It was totally worth it. xD
All these tears. I really must not forget to look into the matchup threads once they meet the blobaddons.

I know exactly what I was talking about, I have been one of these two.
So tired of BB. Always 5+ chasing single players all around the map without being able to kill even the white stuff on the way. And just now these awesome VF guys met 5 of us in Lake on BB border and where so frightened by us that they had to build a cannon protected treb on the ruins to get the tower. So pro, reminded me of the 4 Bull in the last matchup who where unable to take briar and called in a 30 man zerg from another border to roll over TWO defenders.

Fun night on AR border. We’ve been just 5 on the map and managed to take both north towers and the garrison. I guess the few defenders around didn’t really like us. Well right now, some Augury players really show that they are as french as Vizanah, laughing at corpses when with bigger numbers isn’t very sportsmanlike. Yes, I’m talking about you “Above Av?rage [AA]” players. We kept killing you all night long and when you finally get us with 10+ you laugh and dance? I laugh at you.
Oh one of the Lowskillbobs really has the courage to write here?!? Keep playing the number game in my book, and in every others servers btw you are just hilarious and people laugh about you.
And it’s not about pleasing the enemy, it’s about winning with honor. And that is something your “realm” hasn’t even heard of.
These coward-ways really annoy me. Vizunah only knows how to run groups of 40+ for every wooden tower in sight. And what’s really strange is, that they don’t get bored by it. How can this be fun? Serious, they all must know that they are bad players and still they don’t even try to get better on a personal level. Winning by the number game means nothing if everybody just laughs at you.
The only good I’ve seen from Viz so far is the MoS website, and that requires skills on a completly game-unrelated level.
This is the new super exciting new matchmaking system at work. Out of 7 matchups since the new system was introduced Deso has been fighting Vizunah 4 times and Elona 2 times. During all these games we’ve been either 6th or 7th and have been matched with 1st or 2nd.

And here I was thinking Polymock was kittened. And then there’s this guy. Must be from the same “developer”. How about putting something new in the game, that isn’t about finding 1000 times the same item or is just pure luck? I thought this game was supposed to be about skill?!?

After attacking me with 3+ you finally got me and if there is a 1vs1 you ALWAYS run away – Mate please contact me for an REAL 1vs1.
Wait a sec, Elona guy complaining about loosing against bigger numbers? Guess a 40vs5 with dancing and laughing is any better? Go hide yourself in your zergs again.
To make this worse, it’s the only way to get Settler’s equipment. I just soloed two of the places only to see, that the first one was already retaken the moment I finished the second one. So to actually achieve this you would need at least a group in every settlement. So even if you manage to get one group of 5 together you can’t do anything.
So what exactly am I supposed to do to get Settler’s armor?
Thief’s autoattack on pistol doesn’t have that and has the same range now.
Also, with the “from behind” limitation to it’s condition application I strongly believe the base damage for a 900 range weapon is way too low. If it’s “close range” it should hurt.
And while we’re at it: Why is there only one trait that actually improves the shortbow? I’m not talking about an improved range trait, but there’s absolutly not one single trait that gives the shortbow more usage than it has by default. Where is +x% damage on shortbow or +x% damage to bleeding/poisoned enemies or +x% condition duration on shortbow? Every other class can pull that off.
Thief:
- Deal 10% more damage if your target has a condition.
- Increases poison duration by 33%.
Warrior:
- Increases damage to bleeding foes by 10%.
- Increases damage to weakened foes by 5%.
Only these examples show, how these classes can improve the use of their weapons with traits giving them more use.
I wished my shortbow would have gotten something like this instead of a 14% base damage increase on very situational utility weapons-skills.
Funny how a BB player complains about blobbing, when Bull and DsD just took our last tower on ER BL with 60+ people. Not complaining, everybody does it and at least Bull runs most of the time on it’s own. (Although, trebbing from the ruins with 60 vs 20 seems a bit strange.)
I’m outmanned and still my armor gets damaged. Is this just for me or a general problem right now?
is not playing. The enemy just stands near you doing nothing. Pls fix as you can’t time your downed-skills now. Useless as they are anyway…

I’m not sure if this is bound to having my settings set to lowest resolution but finishing and reviving animations look very strange after the patch.
Reviving looks like they are not reviving me but trying to beat me to death.
Finishing animations don’t play at all, making it tough to use your downed skills at the right moment.
Just want to throw in, that the german blog about the guild mission update mentions new wvw blueprints as a guild mission reward. They say, they are similar to the ones you get from the mystic forge. (The english blog is missing this part.)

But the really interesting part is, what is hidden behind the tabs on the left? Are there finally some map-stats? Current players per map perhaps? Point distribution per map? Dolyak-body-counter?
So, how are you guys on Vizunah are getting an arrowcart hitting me there? This feels more then fishy and if you’re using some fov tool you might as well tp directly in, same thing. Only harder to catch.
Actually fighting against Vizuhna is the saddest thing I’ve ever seen in this game. All they seem to be able to do is build golems. And when 2 golems are not enough, then the next time it’s 4 or 6. Do these guys even know that there is other siege to break through gates?
I’ll be happy when we’re back in T2 and I’m really looking forward to face Piken and I had lots of fun with some Kodash in the past.
This playing for points and not for fun is not what I’m looking for in this game.

My respect for Blacktide is gone completely. In the last two there was not one fight that not involved walking through gates and then portal the rest in. And yes, Blacktide, because this is not a single incident, but seems to be the new tactics involving major guilds.

What is it about RG? Just had my first really noteworthy encouter with them and to be honest, I’m everything but impressed. This stupid NPC commander is going down at briar and is at about 10% health. We’ve been like 10 random people defending that tower and out off a sudden RG shows up, builds a golem for a half downed gate.
If this is the guild everybody speaks so highly of I’m really wondering what all this is about.
