Thank you very much
Hello
This is and odd question but I’m looking for a Guild with that particular Guild Hall because I would love to craft some shimmering weapons. I would join only for crafting purpose. I apologize if I sound a bit rude, english is not my native language.
Anyway, Happy Holidays
Stacking in one place 99% is called hard? Granted Arah is not that easy but I never said anything about easy mode, not once. Don’t compare dungeon difficulty with raids. There are different mechanics and skills, most of all, time you need to spend and prep to get it done. Plus the size of a group.
Hell, if you compare dungeons with raids answer me this.
Why and for who were raids even created? You just said there are hard dungeons.

I took the word in an apostrophe and there is no mention of easy mode, not a single one, anywhere in my post and I’m not painting everyone bad. Like I said, a “bunch”
1. There were plenty of hard to get items and achievements from the start. I agree there are a lot of “I want this I want that” people. From my perspective the thing that should always be for everyone, is the story and lore.
2. Why do I have to use YouTube, when I paid for a game I like and want to experiance content myself.
3. I agree that this game should be for everyone. However there are these casuals that come and go because there is nothing for them to do. Achievements and doing Tarir 100 times for 4 months is not something that everyone likes to do.
Anet will never please everyone, it’s impossible. What they can do is take all these feedback and try to make a change for better.

I’m not a native speaker so I’ll try my best to make it short.
I’ve read quite a lot from this thread. There are bunch of ppl here that have a mindset “Raid’s are for me, go skritt urself if you can’t do them”. This is quite horrible to be honest. I don’t mind raids being hard, with exclusive loot and achievements. There are gamers that like hard content and they should be rewarded for their effort. What I don’t understand is why is there so much anger in them. Nobody wants to take this game mode from You. What a lot of “casuals” want is to experiance the STORY that is within this content.
Should I be on forums screaming at hardcore players to stop playing Core Game because it’s to easy for them and they should not be able to play the Personal Story because it has not Hard Mode"? Is that fair?
This game was somewhat “casual” from the start. It’s only natural it should build up from that, evolve. Harder content should be build upon easier one but people should not be devided by things like story or lore.
Let us at least play a “Story Mode”. Speaking for myself. I don’t need a Legendary Armor nor Achievements. What I want is to see the content, this new map, new NPC’s, their dialogues and what is the story behind it all. Lore that connects to GW1.
So much hard work was put in all of this but there are plenty of ppl new and old, that play this game from beta, that can’t experiance it at all because they don’t or are unable to and can’t dedicate themselves to beat this content.
This was loger then I expected. Sorry for my english. Have a nice watch.

1.Right after rescuing Zojja and then Logan, there are 2 Faolin’s. Each one is standing on a rock formation near both pods the player needs to destroy.
2. Qualify for Untethered icon shows up even if the achievement was previously done.
Things like this just make me very sad. How was this even missed. You created an NPC with a “special” name and at the same time made a mistake with his model..

Four maps earlier everything was just fine.

Is this something new or it’s Verdant Brink?
I tried to translate it but came up with Green Pigs O_o .
Just rollback the game before it’s too late..
For those that have been stuck at the begining of Arcana Obscura because they didn’t get the mail. While there was no response in the topic you, I managed to find a solution by myself. I had picked all the items I had stored in my mails and then deleted all of them on the character that was stuck.
After that I got my quest update.
Hmmm very likely! Thanks for the info. I had to switch those sound sliders because I was having trouble hearing anything in the cutscenes.
It’s cool, but..
When I was making my new Engineer today I started hearing strange noises, almost like on a construction site. The music has ingame sounds in it.
Fix pls
Sentinel would be a so much better name .
We can always try to convince them to change it. There is no harm in that. They will listen or not.
Lightbringer
I know a bunch of ppl that doesn’t like the name but they don’t post here because..
They never post on forums.
Throwing random numbers is pointless.
This is quite simple.
Mesmer > Chronomancer
Uses time manipulation abilities.. duh.
Necromancer > Reaper
Can take a form of a “grimm reaper” like being. Big Scythe and stuff.. you know, Death incarnate.
Guardian > Dragonhunter
Here is the problem.
Do we do more damage to Dragons and dragon minions? Nope.
Do we have any special abilities that help us track Dragons and dragon minions? Nope.
Rangers have bows and traps, are they Dragonhunters? Nope.
So why are we Dragonhunters?
I know I can use my powers of imagination but what’s the point? This Elite specialization name just doesn’t fit into a Guardian. In fact it wouldn’t fit to any other class with how everything is designed. There are no skills that do higher damage to certain enemies and there are no abilities that would help in hunting or tracking.
Let me give an example. In Lineage 2 there were mobs that had weaknesses to certain nature elements.
World Boss example:
Antharas was more vurnerable to Wind magic, Valakas to Water magic. So what were the tactics? Take lots of wind mages Spellhowlers/Storm Screamers for the Earth Dragon and water magic Spellsingers/Mystic Muses for the Fire Dragon.
Now if specializing into a Dragonhunter would gives us some nice bonuses against Dragon infestation? Why not! The thing is, GW2 doesn’t support such mechanics. We have Sigils/Runes which everyone can use.
I’m not gonna “open my mind” to something that simply fails in every possible way.
Dragonhunters would be a great organization name. Former elite members of the Pact or another faction emerges to stop the Dragon threat. Maybe a vigilanty like group. Using any means they belive nessesery to stop those beasts. Bad boys. That would be not only cool but anyone who want’s could join.

So basically, Dragonhunter and its background doesn’t evoke a spec that tells us how we wanna play, it tells us what kind of person we are and what are our goals in the story. And this shouldn’t be. Those are not the reasons why we choose to play a profession or a spec.
I quote the guy who gave me this idea
“I don’t understand why specializations are anything more than a fighting style. A Chronomancer is merely a mage that manipulates time, they don’t by definition have to have any particular goals or ambitions. Why does my guardian, when he chooses to specialize in combat with traps and a longbow, all of a sudden have to adopt new background and ideology that I don’t identify him with?”
Gilburt.9146Also remember that specializations are supposed to be swapped anytime we want. A spec that is highly connected to a “WHAT” and “WHY” instead of a “HOW” would mean that we can swap our character’s background, story, goals, ambitions at anytime… This is absurd.
I couldn’t agree more.
I myself, when saw the name for the first time, have mistaken it for Dreaghnout. My reaction wasn’t to bad, but then I realised it’s actually a Dragonhunter. It simply doesn’t fit.
Would be nice to see some update sometime soon. Is anyone even working to fix this? Will it be before HoT release? This is personal story we are talking about. There are so many ppl scratching their heads and thinking – “what’s going on here”, while playing this chapter.
I know few people who don’t post on forums but like me, are stuck with their characters because they don’t want to play a broken story.
There you have it Anet – now even HE is bothered with what happened to the personal story. Do not ever invoke the wrath of Sithis. xD
The Dread-Father watches upon them.
Anyway, jokes aside, I would love to some ANet update in this topic.

So what’s going on Anet? Is this the only new info we get about Halloween?

No preview, nothing? It’s kind of sad .
I so much care about this game but this is simply going out of hand.
I can understand that horns wouldn’t fit into it but where did the tail go? Was it cut off? Is it a new cultural thing among the Charr to cut off their own tails?
I just can’t understand what is going on with this game. It’s the small things that often matter the most. We have this huge LS Project but everything else feels dumbed down piece by piece.
Hello to you forum stalkers!
This is an issue that bugged me for quite some time now but I tried to ingnore it. However with the release of the Chaos skins I simply can’t stand it any longer. Why are some of the weapons SO HUGE? The axe is a two hander, no joke! I know my Charr is big and strong but even on his hip it looks just wrong. The mace has a similar problem. It’s simply too long. While this new skins are not all that bad there are way to many new weapons suffering from bad scaling. It was so hard for me to find a good sword for my Charr and Norn because most of them end up digging through the ground.
Just look for yourselves and tell me if I’m wrong.

So now it’s official.
Atlas is gone. RiP
It’s a simple question. What was the point of creating The Atlas for the Living World if it’s not even used? Since the season 1 ended it was updated only once, with a piece of Dry Top area, but that’s it. There were no points of interest added either.
I think you guys missed my point.
In the core game we are able to go anywhere we want from lvl 1. You have a Charr? Nothing stands in your way to go and start lvling in Queensdale. With the new LS we are limited to 1 place and additionally it’s served to us in pieces..
It’s been 2 years since launch and it just saddens me how little we are given to explore.
First of all I like the new LS. However there are things that make me worry. Who knows maybe I’m overreacting and ANet are going to surprise us.
To the point.
The new way the LS is handled somehow kills the sole idea of an open world gameplay. We get a small part of a bigger map every two weeks. While I like Dry Top and the story, this new zone offers no exploration. You just go forward through a narrow mostly path. This might change of course in later updates but so far it looks like zones in GW1 – walls all around you. The world map shows us how huge the Maguuma Wastes are. It would be so much more fun to explore other locations, even if they were to be delivered in pieces like Dry Top. Just imagine.
I don’t want to play the story, I’m going to see that other area, maybe there is something cool there!
We would have a choice. More content = more options.
Other thing that worries me are the events. Take Orr for example – it feels natural, a constant battle between the Pact and Zaithan’s armies. Here on the other hand the map is flooded with stuff we have to kill to achive a bigger score for the Zephyrites. Another festival?
Anayway, I wonder what you guys think.
Disabling shadows won’t solve the problem here. What everyone with good fps seems to not understand is that we didn’t downgrade our PC’s. We get decent fps on every other map just not this. Dry Top is simply badly optimized and the only solution is that devs will do something about it.
AMD Phenom™ II X6 1090T (6x CPU), ~3.2GHz
Asus Crosshair III
Kingston HyperX 4×2GB DDR3
AMD Radeon HD 5970 2GB
No issues with every other map since the launch. Almost highest settings.
My fps dropped by a half on this new map.
I doubt the main issue is hardware. Sure if you have a new PC, there’s a higher chance you’ll have less problems. However there are people with older machines that have this map on higher fps then those with new ones.
I really don’t get it. It looks like there are some issues with the objects/textures or whatever is loading in the far distance. Like I said before. My game works better in the sandstorm than when I’m looking into the horizon, mountains etc.
This is not an fps race.
The truth is, that this new area is badly optimized.
I run every other map on near max settings, even WvW but on Dry Top I need to go low on everything. Hell, it seems the sandstorm aren’t even the problem because I can run almost smooth through them.
It’s not about making crappier maps, because people have old PC’s. I can point few areas which are bigger and have better visuals but don’t burn my PC.

Bigger topic about the same thing. There is a reply somewhere on the forum that they know about this issue.
Imho the system is working exactly as its supposed to. Its what makes sure that there is a clear differentiation between people that actually have multiple high-valued weapons from just applying a skin to a level 1 vendor weapon. If I use my Mjölnir skin on a cheap weapon its not Mjölnir, its a cheap knockout made in Cantha and distributed the same way Fiery Dragons swords are distributed in GW2 as cheap knockouts of Sohothin
No it doesn’t work how it suppose to. You’re saying it’s not fair for the people who have multiple high-valued weapons but how is it fair for those that crafted ascended gear but they dislike their default skins?
Mjölnir goes for 1666g on TP. What if a person who crafted/bought it and loves it’s skin, has no use for it’s stats (pvc)? Maybe someone would like a “zerker” Mjölnir or upgrade it to ascended lvl? That someone is going to end up with some stupid combination like Pearl Crusher or Hammer of the Dragon’s Deep. Does a Hammer of the Dragon’s Deep look like Mjölnir?
No..
Not to mention that there are skins bought only with Gems. With this system as it is now, there will never be a Tormented wepon, only the skin.

Is this really intended or is it simply a bug?
I wish we could get a response here.
There could at least write a confirmation if this is a bug or intended.
It’s been confirmed that this is a bug and will be fixed in a hotfix. When, who’s to say.
Source? Link?
If you added the Sclerite skin into a Pearl weapon, it is still a Pearl weapon.
No…it’s a Berserker weapon…pearl is the skin, which has been replaced.
Doesn’t matter, its’ a Screlite weapon now which means it’s not Pearl anymore.
Anyway, the new transmutation system is hilatious. Imagine if I take an Ascalonian sword and reskin it with a fine Orrian skin? How will that make sense?
(edited by Sithis.3564)
On the same boat, no response from devs unfortunately.
+1
please fix this fast
The first window that opens after you press the default H button should be Equipement one. After that there should be an option within this tab to open the Wardrobe and Dyes sub-tabs. As it is now we have a huge window with a lot of space and nothing in it.
See the updated pic for morte info.
Also, as I posted earlier, the renaming of transmutated items should be changed/fixed.
Imagine I want to reskin the Mad Memoires with Desert Rose. I gonna end up with book on my back called like a flower.. other transmutations are even more hilarious.
Just think about it, take Jormag’s Breath. I like it’s stats but I want it to have another skin, Fiery Dragon Sword/Firebringer. I gonna end up with a flame sword named by an Ice Elder Dragon..
There are other topics about this but one more won’t hurt.
Even if it’s working as intended it’s just bad design. Everything I have now is called Zojja’s xyz .. annoying.
Don’t know what you guys are complaining about. The transmutation system didn’t change. They didn’t suddenly want to make it a charity. They streamlined it.
I’m complaining because my Firebringer will now be called Zojja’s Blade, my Entropy, Zojja’s Warhammer.. . In fact every single unique item I have is now Zojja’s [random weapon/armor piece].
There was a guy with Wings of Dwayna skin. It’s called Molten Longbow now.. akward isn’kitten
I wonder if they even gonna look at this problem..
I was going to craft Azureflame but if it’s going to be renamed with Zojja’s Greatbow..
I hope they gonna do something about this.
There is already a red-name comment in the Dev tracker saying they are looking into fixing this
.
Link?
Hero panel is a mess.
When you open your Hero panel ( press H ), it would be nice if it would by default open on the equipement menu. As it is now we have a window with a lot of free space filled with nothing on a brown, muddy background that doesn’t look too good.
Not to mention there are obvous clippings. See the attachement for more details.
(edited by Sithis.3564)
Please make it so that transmuted items are named after the skin that is used, rather than of the weapon/armor which supplied the stats. It doesn’t make sense that a weapon that looks like a Tormented Staff is called a Berserker’s Pearl Quarterstaff
It’s a wonder how could they not see this.
