I die many times in each chapters, then finally can’t pass chapter 8 after so many tries, WTH to disable heal in flight?! Does this means non-skillful player should not pass story line? If ANET designer goes to this direction, can at least split each chapter to shorter piece, so player don’t need always retry from beginning? It’s a waste of time!

Personal story 0 fun to me because of the difficulties, I just want to know if any possibilities to nerf it in further? May be I can wait ……..hope it not later then first LS start………..

1, footfalls be much more noticeable
2, Reduce constant awful sound, may be just 2~3 loop when wield
3, More noticeable even it is not wield

Why don’t you use the transmutation crystal? You can transmute to a non-soul bound white weapon first then pass to another character.

Just a reminder to all legendary holders, please mark down your legendary weapon creation date so you may ask for restoration if you lost it unexpectedly.

Unfortunately, I lost my legendary dagger suddenly after a few days didn’t login. Since it is soul-bound it is unsellable in TP. If I throw it alway I must type its full name so I must remember it. I contact CS immediately and received email to ask me provide some information:

1, Name of lost item
2, My Time Zone
3, Item create time (48 hour time frame)
4, Item lost time

I can answer first 2 but as I told, I login after a few days busy, and even if a player login, ppl will not check all inventory in all characters everyday right? So I can’t tell the exact date when I lost my item.

I can’t remember the exact date I make my legendary weapon also….mm…..I double how many ppl actually remember when they make it. Sorry that I am busy with my work so I only mark client appointment in my calendar. I can only find in my screen captures and told I have that weapon in which period.

Then……………………what I can’t understand, CS told me they can’t help me because I can’t answer question 3 & 4. That means they can’t found out if I am really make that item in game? They don’t have that data backup? Or their DB design in a way that can’t check player item without creation date?

All I know is that, this game will make your item disappear unexpectedly, and if you don’t remember item creation date, you even can’t ask for restoration. I am now asking for account restoration in previous month, which I am sure my account have correct inventory, hoping it is alright….

Some player are not english speaker, so they are difficult to write long reply. +1 is much more easy for them.

I am from Hong Kong, although I can use English, i will much more happy if I would use my native language in game. I know there will be a separate server in China, but everyone know that China server use different pay system, and many players outside China is not convenient to pay in China. There are also players in other country using Chinese.

AT least, ANET should fix bug on Chinese character display in chat! Unbelievable an so-call “International” game have problem in displaying non-English letter…….isn’t it a sample Unicode thing?

So far I know some players got banned just because they had been reported by someone unhappy with them.

Although these players actually never do something wrong (which listed in the report reason list in game), so they can take back there game account within few days, the improper use of game report system actually make them trouble and waste a lot of time.

I just want to know, will ANet keep the reporter list, so they can sort out who reported the innocent a lot (e.g. >50% reported are innocent), and give these improper user an alert? Or some proper punish? Or indicated he / she as untrusted reported?

Just to remind 1 thing, when ele got nerf, other professions got buff. So it is not only ele heal less, its also other job would built same defense with larger dmg now.

I think dungeons should be appropriate to its level, that means low level dungeon like AC / CM should be shorter / easier then higher level one like COF.
Current situation is that every one start dungeon only after lv 80 cause high level dungeon it much more easier.

[WM] = War Machine, a very hardcore WvW guild, mainly Korean, but also hv international members.

If kills count, then I would expect the WVW become a killing game. If 1 server dominate the tier, 3rd rank server will be more difficult to recover since gate camping will be meaningful.

Is also make SM like meaningless in some higher tier because it is easy to kill > 100 ppl within 15min when attacking SM. In tier 1 / 2 reset day, EB SM almost hv endless attack in 24 hr.

I think OP may be missing some different between PVP and WVW, PVP is purely killing game, WVW is more force on strategy, resources, tower / keep / supply. Encourage pure killing will push away ppl from the primary WVW purpose.

If one is lv80, with the elite skills and full trait, he still can’t fly over the low level area, there must be something wrong in his play style. I say this because I can do this with my ele.

GW2 is not like some games which just let you stand at a spot and shot shot shot like a bot….you need to dodge / kite the mobs / heal yourself like a living real human.

only done CoE exp paths once, a long time ago; and didnt use the waypoints so i wasnt aware – actually the two examples are the only ones i could think of where WPs are majorly annoying (havent done CoFexp/Arahstory and exp at all though)

Obedience? Is it a joke? Commander Icon cost 100G, that 100G is pay for Anet but not hiring other players. I will follow commander who I know well, or famous, or can show their skill / plain, this don’t mean I obey him, just because I think this will be better then I make it my own.

I know some commanders will turn off their icon just to avoid large zerg follow him in some action, but whenever ppl see him, pugs still follow him……CMD icon really nothing more then a sign in map for easy search.

State the account name of upgrade person is a realistic suggestion IMO. If ppl do it when he think it is the correct time, then he should not mind others know that he pay for it. Only spy don’t want ppl knows his name.

No. OP may not think of a problem:

Culture armor are nice looking to that race just because designer don’t need to consider body size / features of other races. They can put more details to the culture armor so it looks perfectly suit to that race.

If you want an armor fit to all races, then designer need to consider more, they may need to take out some design elements because it just impossible to fit all races. So the culture may not look that nice as now.

Since I know some famous commander being QQ so badly, and there are many cases ppl just report others because they are being killed / not happy to someone, they hope that guy just can’t play for a few days, I won’t surprise for this.

Leave all justice to ANet. They have all game records so should be the most trusted one to say someone hv problem or not.

SoS also old Kain guild since Kain day 1 and still active in WvW.

Although I already hv the Legendary staff, I make it by gold only honestly. I known ANet want something to be the end game gold sinker, and Legendary definitely fit this purpose, but is it possible to make it feel like more Legendary?

Legendary weapon itself don’t hv a legendary history is really strange. I will fell a lot better and achieved if I need to finish a whole story line like:

At start, I heart some stories from NPC about the Legendary weapon.
Then I got a strange weapon parts / part of receipts in a dynamic event and know that is related to the Legendary weapon after searching around.

Then I start to collect materials (which the materials may be the same as current requirement) aim to repair the strange weapon parts / complete the receipt.

In order to repair the weapon part I need to be a master crafter.

In order to get the complete receipt, I need to traffic around different maps and get map 100% completion.

Then I figure out I have the Precursor. I need to look forward for any method to re-shine the weapon so it become Legendary again.

Then I pass some story, got receipts / required materials to make gifts. For example, take receipts from multiple dungeon paths. Kill the world champion for the materials…etc…

Then, I need to unseal the weapon by some great / mystic power, so I need to fight in the temple and get the shards. Fight the dragon and get the icy runestones…etc…

Final step, I collected all materials and go to Mystic Forces to unseal the Precursor. I got the Legendary Weapons!

This will be more interesting.

Currently I do this by searching item code in gw2db.com, then paste the item code in game whisper channel, then I can preview. It is a little bit time consuming, but at least an alternative way to do it.

Not sure your friend bugged or not. My friend finished Jan monthly at the last few days but got 0 laurels. Pretty sure that no one I known got the laurels from Jan monthly achievement.

Name change → I am not sure if it is a good idea. Since ppl is not able to change their name, they will think carefully before they act, ppl will remember their name if they do something not good. If name is changeable, it just allow ppl change name and pretend as another person after inappropriate actions.

Yes, I hv different build for different weapons, If I change weapon I just pay to NPC and assign the whole trait again. I don’t mind pay, but I want to do it effectively. May be system would store the traits as trait 1 / 2 / 3 / 4, then player consume an item to allow them select different trait. And this re-trait item sold from NPC for a few silver?

If would remove stack limit then I will pay gem for this upgrade immediately!

Or just allow me buy more bank slots, I think I expanded the back slots by 6 / 8 times? Then it hit the limit. But each event ANet just offer different weapon skins / cloths / potions so how it is possible to store them all?

The reset should go a few weeks before when some of the servers got high transfers in, dominate the whole 4 maps and jump up tier like rocket. But now all those servers more or less already in the suitable tier, then reset the score at this late?

Action if not do at the right time may only do harm.

weekly match allow normal guys whose need to work / school to hv better life-game balance though out the week. Most ppl can only spends hours in WvW in weekend. 24 hr? It may be fun for those not work in weekdays only…..
Go back to work on weekdays then find that server down tier because of the weekday matches definitely make ppl like me feel meaningless to join WvW.

Briefly speaking, Kain is benefit from transfers. Since we start to win in T8, general transfers come (for whatever reasons) → keep winning in next tier → more transfers

As a result, Kain dominate in from T8 → T5 now and go up 1 tier each week.

Seems many are disconnected….may be take a break LOL

Just wait Jan 28 and see how ANet fix the culling problem =)

That’s because the “need/pass” action reduce your time in game….and ANet just use this method to keep people in game

You may want to enjoy the story at the first time, may be also in 2nd time..3rd time…..But after endless dungeon daily, I believe most people tired of looking the story and anything other then the token

All of the daily and monthly are optional if you don’t want to do a part that is your choice. The same could be said for WvW, some people do not like to play WvW but still do it to get the monthly bonus. No matter what they do people will complain that they don’t like something about it, get over it. This is a game, it will never be perfect deal with it and have fun while doing it.

Since its not perfect I say something to it hope it will be better. Its a game so no comment needed? So Anet will never know what player want and can’t improve

come kain, we hv 24/7 mesmer in EB JP continuous for 3 weeks since we own the entire map

or go to jump the JP in each BL which give u 4-5 badges each time, 15min can finish it.

if u hv 2 characters to run these BL JP, then u will get 24 – 30 badges each day

I believe that the daily / monthly achievement should be something that push people to where less players, so include WvW / JP is reasonable. But FOTM? Everyone in LA look for group to FOTM, it should already the hottest content in GW2!

FOTM already being included in the monthly for continuous 2 months, stop it! People already do too much FOTM to some sense that its hardly to form party for other topics!

Because maybe it was because I was tired or something last night but I swear to god I think I saw Soul of Sos [SoS], Shield of Sos [SoS], Sword of Sos [SoS] and then there was another one, which seemed completely unrelated to the other 3, but it’s ticker was also [SoS]

I mean we only have Syndicate of Shadows [SOS], we’re totally outnumbered in SOS guilds, and I don’t think our vast reserves of [WAR] guilds can plug the gaps just yet.

We both are same guild…..cause we are around 900 ppl, members separated into 4 guilds (although a few officers may overlap):

Survivor of Searing (~480 member)
Shield of SoS (~420member)
Sword of SoS (preparing for new members)
Soul of SoS (International member, mainly English)

Kaining got one guild of over 400 on a transfer, along with two other pretty good sized guilds, not to mention some smaller guilds.

Like DR before them, they’ll pass the servers they overpopulate, and get stopped by servers like Maguuma, and EBay.

Nothing special, just weather it out, and watch them get crushed next week when they face equal numbers.
