Remember when Jon Peters promised good changes for rangers way back in October? Remember how it was also the last time a dev posted in the ranger subforums?
Remember how they keep us in the dark since that failure?
Hope you don’t visit the very long buglist thread we have.

Gee, i thought there was some dialogue going on since he came in promising better times ahead. Behaviour like that is usually a sign that they have no idea how to fix some of these issues without changing fundamentals of the game engine.

Just move on to another class if you dont like it, I think its the best way to show your disappointment.

Are you serious? Leveling another class to max level is the best way to show my disappointment? That is exactly what is wrong with games these days, they get away with #$%@ like this because of people like you saying “just don’t play that class”, “Just don’t do that mission”, “just don’t use that spell”.

So you are saying, if you bought a washing machine that has a bug where it always ruins your coloured shirts but everything else is fine. You go to the store and they tell you “Just don’t wash your coloured shirts with it”. You be totally OK with that, right?

I am baffled.

No its like most people can wash their shirts with it, but you happend to have a specifik fabrik so they get ruined and you need another washing machine that works for your needs.

And while we are talking bugs, you dont mention that we can channel rapid fire on people that stealth and you no longer have target on.

This has a bigger impact on the game than your whole list alltogether, atleast for people that wvw or pvp.

Come on man, you know that your comment that i should play a different class was rubbish and now you try desperately to get out of the hole you dug yourself. Let it go before it becomes embarrassing.

Pets are not meant to survie in stituation a player is not. Its your opion they should. Alot of what you and alot of the community view as problems are opions as well.

When Anet comes out and states said problem is working as intended yall get mad.

You asked if there has been fixes for what you view as problems. Short bow has been fixed but you dont like it and the statement reguarding it.

Lick wounds is a tempory fix. Its is clear they looked at it since they have changed it. But it still has the core problem and it seems they cant solve it as of yet. They could have done nothing but some people will still complain either way.

You feel that you are owed something that is you opinion.

Opinions can be wrong both yours and mine. But I’m enjoying the class and the game.
What MMORPG are you playing at the moment. It must be a hell of a game.

Not playing any MMO , it’s winter and i am mostly out an about snowboarding and drinking hot tea.

Promise:
Anet has given you a game. Gw2 was game of the year. So in what way have they broken thier promise. You are permited to come and go as you like. No good game is perfect and for me GW2 is the best MMORPG out at the moment. Elder scrolls Online might be good. I’m not holding my breath.

You whole post is opinion and you are welcome to have one, but I was asking for facts not workarounds or excuses. I give you an example:

1. Is Bug X still in the game?
2. X is not a problem because [ insert personal opinion here ] and [ insert weird reasoning here ]. I would [ insert half kitten workaround here ]. You have to understand that [ insert excuse for ANet here ].

I am only interested if it is fixed or not. Yes or No is quite sufficient and someone else already answered these questions.

I don’t care if GW2 can have your babies and fart rainbows. I don’t care if it won some silly award that has nothing to do with reality.

With the “horn autoattack” i think he means the fact that, if you use horn 5 with an enemy nearby and autotargeting, you automatically aggro that enemy and start attacking it.

On the good side we are now kings of underwater combat….thats……something, right?

Why is that, what did they do with underwater combat?

It’s a joke as much as anything. We had that first patch where nothing happened with ranger (October 22 https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/info/news/Update-Notes-October-22-2012) and were promised “substantial changes” in the next patch. What we got next patch was 150% more damage on Harpoon auto and some other minor tweaks to greatsword (November 15 https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/info/news/Game-Update-Notes-November-15-2012). This lead to lots of jokes about the ranger being Aquaman (marvel superhero reference for those who may actually not know). We’re pretty good underwater but once you get us on land we’re not so useful anymore.

December 14 (https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/info/news/Game-Update-Notes-December-14-2012) we got a fairly long list of changes but none were really useful changes. They were all ‘nice’ changes but they didn’t make or break any builds except the Lick Wounds change (still buggy but more powerful when it works). Unfortunately most of the changes from this patch can be described as “changing the awful and useless into mediocre and useless.” This really includes the melee pet hitting better and the arrow flight speed changes. What was awful and useless is now mediocre.

January 28 (https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/info/news/Game-Update-Notes-January-28-2013) was just some bug fixes really. Again nothing bad but the only reall changes were condition stats applying to Entangle (finally!) and Drakes actually using Tail Swipe (this is pretty good actually).

And that brings us to today. I don’t have high hopes for the 26th (next balance patch) but I suppose it’s possible something good will happen.

Basically the answer to the OP is since December nothing noteworthy has changed. The ranger plays exactly the same as before. What worked before works now and what didn’t work before still doesn’t work.

Thanks for that detailed report and the links! I took a break in november and must have missed that Aquaman patch but that is hillarious! I know what to do now if i get chased in WvW. Find the next puddle to jump in and harpoon them to death.

26th, i am waiting for that then. FFXIV Alpha starts on the 25th so i be busy checking that out.

plenty of viable ways to build, its not all about who does most damage, its about whos left standing.

Not interested in builds. I am interested if the game i paid for has the functionality it advertised and is playable without major bugs ruining my fun.

Thanks for the detailed info everyone. I shall take a look myself but this does not sound good so far. To be honest, i don’t really feel the urge to play any more. I bet the economy is complete kitten up also.

entangle now scales appropriately with condition damage. a lot of people, myself included, find this elite effective especially on the reduced 2 min CD. SB and LB projectiles got a 30% velocity boost. Sb is great now, Lb continues to blow. minor improvements to pets hitting targets while moving. f2 still bad. thats about it.

Thanks, sounds like i might give it a few hours this weekend to test. Still not enough to make me come back full time with all the other issues the game has.

They’re not ignored issues, people seem to forget that fixing these issues isn’t something simple that takes a minute to do. Intense testing is required and one adjustment has to be done throughout a variety of circumstances including maps, actions, motion, etc…

So please, I know you’re not going to actually recheck back in 6 months, the time period is just too long and humans are just too curious.

So you are saying they have not fixed even ONE of these bugs?

By your logic, it has been more than 8 months to fix JUST ONE of these bugs because its so complicated and requires so much work. That means it will take them more than 80 months to fix them all?

What would make me think that they will fix ONE from this list within the next 8 months? Right, nothing! So you are absolutely on the spot! I will not check back in 6 months, i will just take my refund and leave end of the month.

Can anyone give me an update if they fixed any Ranger issues at all since the Shortbow nerf… i mean adjustment?

1. F2 responsiveness.
2. Pet AoE survivability.
3. Pet AI.
4. 40ms shortbow nerf explanation or rollback?
5. DPS on longbow so that other longbow classes can stop laughing at us.
6. BM traits are scattered everywhere instead of the BM tree.
7. ‘obstructed’ error with bows.
8. Horn random auto-attack
9. Lick Wounds working only 50% of the time
10. All the bugs of Entangle

If nothing has been done i check back in 6 months. But more likely never since it’s been 8 months + beta and if all these issues have been ignored for this long i doubt they ever get fixed.

- Fix pet F2 responsiveness.
- Fix pet AoE survivability.
- Fix pet AI so that they don’t run off to random, far-away targets.
- Explain the 40ms shortbow nerf and why each shortbow#1 attack is a lot longer than 40ms.
- Adjust dps on longbow so that other longbow classes can stop laughing at us.
- Explain why BM traits are scattered everywhere instead of the BM tree.
- Fix ‘obstructed’ error with bows.
- Regardless of ETAs, can you please tell us that you acknowledge these problems? Everybody understands you can’t fix things with the wave of a wand, but it would mean a lot to everyone if they knew you were aware of these problems. Not saying anything only leaves us to assume that the developers don’t agree with our suggestions – and that’s OK. Just give us confirmation/closure and we’ll stop nagging.

Is that enough for you?

I have dozens and dozens of screenshots to attest to much of the above – too bad the devs just don’t want to look at them…

When you:
- are perceived as breaking promises and core ideals
- having poor class balance which is getting worse
- release content patch after content patch with more and more bugs
- are perceived as not moving fast enough in improving the game and fixing issues
- appear to be funnelling players towards buying gems
- have one of the more unrewarding games around
- are perceived as screwing with players via anti player practices like DR
- are perceived generally as providing poor live support

then there will be negativety.

Very true. There is only negativity if there is a reason for it. The moderators make sure that rants and duplicates are closed pretty fast.

I think the real reason why we see so many ridiculous posts is because this has been the most successful MMO in years, and people who don’t like the game are extra determined to see it fail because of the idea that there can only be one successful game on the market

All game forums are full of negativity, because the people having fun are playing. Also you only ever get about 10% of a game’s population ever going near the forums, so that also skews it.

That is not true and making up some arbitrary % number does not make your post look smarter.

If you meant to say that only about 10% of the visitors post, then that might be closer to the truth. Most people are lurkers and will not bother if they find an answer to their issue, be it positive or negative.

The more negative posts you have the more people are affected by bugs and problems, it is as simple as that. Patch notes and announcements are generally read by most of the player base on a regular basis. These are all on the Forums.

Please stop spreading this myth that only 10% of a games population visits the forums. It’s simply not true and one of the most overused excuses by defenders of whatever game they currently feel the need to defend.

The game is broken and no patch will fix that. Its boring, unrewarding and repetitive. Unless they change that, this game is dead to me. And yes, i come here in the hopes they do change it eventually.

I kinda agree with the OP here. I was so hyped up for the game, even pre-ordered the game for 3 day head start. The no trinity sounds promising, and all classes can range/melee sounds cool as well.

But after playing I find that the no trinity and all classes can do everything makes everything homogeneous. The world bosses and dungeons are just a gankfest. And there aren’t any real gear upgrades at level 80, so you’ve experienced the content once there’s really no point of keep grinding the dungeons. Theres no satisfaction of getting more powerful as you keep playing like most rpgs.

This is a cool game and I do want it to keep going. I’ve stopped playing a while ago and now getting back to check it out. But I just don’t find any incentive to play. I dunno about other people but running around the map or spending hours collecting and grinding for a gear that only looks better isn’t gonna cut it for me.

Maybe Anet did not want to create a game where you have to grind dungeons over and over again. Maybe they wanted to aim their game at a playerbase who hates dungeongrinding….like me! I always hated grinding dungeons in WoW (because I think it’s the most pointless thing ever) and I’m so glad I don’t have to grind dungeons in Gw2 anymore.
If you enjoy grinding dungeons (and you have every right to enjoy that, it’s personal preference afterall) why don’t you play that other MMO who offers that?

So many people on this forums who don’t realize that Anet wants to be different instead of copying the same principles over and over again.

You grind dungeons for skins/legendaries. Same difference, just that here you ALSO grind WvW and PvE. (And now Fractals, the same 5? over and over and over and…)

If you are not the grind type then there is NOTHING to do in this game.

The zones are bad. That’s all there is to it. Mobs just standing around in an effort to make navigating the map harder, which it already is because of the atrocious design. It looks and plays like a pile of cow manure. Whoever designed this can make up all the lore he wants, it is still a complete failure.

Please for the love of this game, stop designing maps.

I don’t care if it works 50%, 60% or 80% of the time. It’s bugged and needs to be fixed to work 100%. If that is not possible, remove the stupid thing and give us something more useful.

What’s to prevent me on my level 80 thief whose at level 2 with full berserker’s gear who is traited purely for offense and is nearly useful in fractals, saying I’m at level 30 with 25 AR and joining a level 30 fractal run in an effort to get carried.

What’s to stop me from putting on full magic find rares and joining a level 40 run, claiming I have full exotic soldiers gear and 25 AR and that I’ve cleared up to 50?

Nothing because they have no idea what they are doing and their design team is the most clueless group of game developers that ever existed.

Fact is, they released this gated system with no foresight as to what will happen when EVERYONE that has a few braincells knew how it would turn out. (and told them so on these forums)

Now they are trying to fix it, which will only make it worse like all the other things they released then “fixed” and are now even more broken than before.

Incompetence is a virtue at this company.

I did have a problem with thieves and culling, until I picked my own thief back up and started WvWing on it. After some theory crafting and play time, I’ve come to the conclusion that even without culling, a thief will still have complete control over when the fight begins, and when the fight ends.

I figure that once culling is fixed, which requires very fundamental changes to the game, and if not done carefully, can result in an entire host of new bugs, people will move on to whine about thieves being OP.

That is because thieves are the most overpowered class and they are just a grief to everyone in WvWvW.

The whole balancing of the game is ridiculous to say the least. I have never seen a game this unbalanced, buggy and simply not working when it comes to classes and skills. And that is across the board through all classes.

Nothing can fix this because the developers are highly incompetent.

Opinion: Feeling less like an MMORPG

Zones other than max level are rarely populated in any MMO. That being said, I went to Queensdale a few days back and did the wasp queen 3 times. There was 30+ people each time.

You obviously never played FFXI. After 10 years, i can still level up a new class and find 30+ people at any given time levelling around my level range as well.

Maybe it’s because you only need one character and you can level all 20 classes that makes it much more likely for people to try out a new class. Instead of being limited to 3-5 alts.

A MMORPG should never have alts, you should be able to learn all classes on the same character. Why this is still not standard after 10 years, i will never understand.

You mean you can play in the one zone that people use for leveling and while the other 95% of zones are completely empty?

FFXI leveling:
1-30 summoner burn /afk
30-99 Abyssea fighting the same exact mobs the entire time

Now that sounds exactly like what this game needs!

There is no such thing as summoner burns, that was 5 years ago and got fixed pretty quick. Abyssea has about 200 different mobs to choose from. You obviously have not played in a long time.

Don’t even bother. There is nothing you can do in WvW.

1. Your damage is a joke and your shots get evaded 90% of the time by people simply circling you.

2. Your pet is a moron and can’t hit the broad side of a barn. Most classes can outrun the pet or kill it very easy.

3. You are useless while attacking a keep. BECAUSE YOU CANT kittenING SHOOT ARROWS UP. While engineer happily throws grenades up.

4. You are useless in defense because as soon as you stand near the edge some thief pulls you down, standing further back you won’t be able to hit anything because you get Obstructed.

5. Your pet is completely useless in defending keeps. ZERO. NOTHING.

6. You get 2 shot by almost every other class. Sometimes even one shot and that;s wearing full toughness set because medium armour is shiat

I almost forgot.

7. You can’t get away or catch up to any other class, they either have more movement speed, are invisible 90% of the time or teleport with skills that have barely any cooldowns compared to our horn which is our ONLY kittenING movement speed.

Kinda saw stuff like this coming when the game released and was my biggest concern about GW2. The dynamic events were a awesome idea, and a lot of fun…but regardless of how popular a game is, or hyped, it eventually dies down…and what happens to these events that require a large amount of players to complete? They get left undone and newer players suffer…

“inb4” “Join a guild and bug them to come help you do it”…While we’re at it why dont we spam gaming sites and forums to come as well? lol cus thats about as logical as that is…Hopefully theyll eventually add a decent party finder so those who want to group up for orr can gather and run it together

And we all learned this years ago from Warhammer Online which invented the dynamic events. But hey! Why do something new if we can copy stuff and sell it to people as new because they either forgot or never new about the other game.

Considering that IGN, Time, and G4 nominated and or voted it Game of the Year, somehow I don’t think the game is dieing. Leveled off, maybe, but far far from dead.

Since when is the gaming press ever giving bad reviews to advertisers? Never bite the hand that feeds you.

From an interview on KTR with Izzy Cartwright on the 5th December:

“Izzy: Yes, we collect all manner of data from observing the economy, gameplay, and sever (sic) load. We use this data in a number of ways. For instance, we can see where players die the most so we can start adjusting content that is too hard at early levels. As for the economy, we’re always watching how different items drop, from where, and how often. This lets us really see the ins and outs of our economy and how things like monthly events or weekends play a role in our ever changing economy.”

Statements like this should really reinforce to people on the fence with this one that the developers are constantly monitoring data streams, and something like the loot dearth that has been witnessed since the 15th November patch, if unintended, would have set major alarms ringing for them without any necessity for forum-based bug reports from players.
The confessed dodging of this vital topic on the Reddit AMA by Chris was very much a telling indicator of how little input that part of the team must actually have on the majority of the game’s direction now.

Oh you mean like the famous “Butter-Gate”?

The geniuses that removed butter and chocolate from karma and put them into bags, flooding the market making cooking even easier and cheaper?

Then proceed in creating a temporary recipe that alienated half the player base that could not get the item and made the prices go up like crazy?

Then removing said recipe and within a few hours we had the same flooded market and low prices like we have now?

I can see how they monitor their game and make kitten decisions, they are very good at that. Maybe they should start using their brains more than their monitoring tools because from what i have seen they are not using them at all.

I feel for your loss buddy, but i have to say this.

How do people get hacked, seriously, HOW THE EFF DO YOU GET HACKED? Really the only way is to download some trojan or use a password that a toddler could brute force in 10 minutes.

I’d run a malware scanner or virus scanner if i where you instead of posting here.

In my 20+ years on the Internet with hundreds of accounts i NEVER got hacked once. How do you do it, seriously, i really want to know.

Great Post! The video explains what has been haunting the Video Game Industry for the past 20 years. The disconnect between players and Developers/Designers has grown larger every year.

On the Topic, what is wrong with GW2.

  • The disconnect between these 2 activities; the casual enjoyable albeit flawed public events and on the other side the hardcore dungeon grind.
  • The disconnect between the casual and zerg oriented WvWvW and the structured and serious sPvP.

These 2 environments do not mix well, the mechanics do not work for both equally. It’s already a challenge to mix PvP and PvE in the same game due to balancing issues additionally mixing casual vs. structured is just crazy.

My other gripe is the complete lack of understanding how game economies work.

The best example is what i call “Buttergate”. Removing these items (butter, chocolate etc.) from Karma vendors and putting them into ALL the sack drops not realizing that this will not solve the problem (cooking is too easy, cheap) but instead do the exact opposite.

Then creating a time limited “sink” that also alienates players by giving an exclusive item only for a limited time, again, not realizing that once the recipe is taken off again, butter will just drop down to historical lows immediately.

After these disasters they finally realize that maybe removing them from sacks might be the better idea, but only half kitten it again and we still have to this day more butter than we ever need (and chocolate etc.)

We see this disconnect again, shortly after the “Buttergate” affair, creating a Diminishing Returns System that is on top of all things flawed to begin with but never addresses the real issue: The badly designed dungeons. Again a complete disconnect from actual reality how players experience it.

Other stuff has been reduced.
If you do kill certain mobs then more of that other stuff will drop.
Other stuff can now also be obtained by doing something else.

Two hours a day is a lot of time!

…I work a full time job and I can play Guild Wars 2 for two hours a day. I also work out and study. This post is irrelevant as, after sleep, there are still 16-18 hours in a day.

Are you working in your bed?

1h – Getting ready for work/shower,
30minutes – going to work
9h – work incl lunch break
30minutes – getting home from work
1h – shower and winding down after work, getting ready for dinner.

Thats a modest calculation and comes down to 12hour + 8 hours sleep, which leaves you with 4 hours. If you can spend 50% of your free time playing a game every day then i can only say: lucky you!

Most people don’t have that luxury.

A lot of people seem to be throwing around the word “viable” of late, especially in relation to Rangers, but I don’t think many seem to know it’s meaning: “capable of working successfully”.

LB/SB Ranger is not only viable it is effective… Assuming, of course, that you make use of all of the skills from both bows and don’t just press #1 on the SB and go to make coffee.

Except that you can’t hit moving targets. If any target is not coming right at you or running away from you, then your bow attacks will miss. It get’s worse if you and the target is moving.

Ranger is quite frankly a big joke and they suck at ranged weapons.

OK fellow fanboys, gather round, there’s work to be done.

The review is long and thought out, we need a plan…

First, someone look up who wrote this and find some other reviews from them and explain how it shows the person is bias and not reliable. Second, we need people in here to nitpick his wording, really try and derail the topic. They said grind a lot, what does that even mean? Also, he mentioned WoW once or twice, lets harp on that, don’t let them get away with having played WoW. Third, keep repeating that the game just came out so we need to give it more time. Patches, there are always future patches, time is on our side. Last but not least, we need to make it clear they don’t get it like we do, and that they’re not play the game right or the way Anet intended.

Alright, now get out there and defend this company!

You forgot the standard, “If he is so smart then he should make his own MMO” and my favourite, "An MMO is extremely complex that’s why . . . ".

Usually when things like the described above happen the game is doomed in the long run. The reason being that the real concerns are drowned in a flood of a few (usually 10-20) religious followers, derailing all threads into bickering, name calling and pointless arguments.

The distortion and fish-eye part is still there but it is in your peripheral vision. This is the same as in real life, things beyond 60 degrees are distorted and not sharp, you only glimpse them out the corner of your eye.

No, that’s not what I mean. I’m talking about literally 0 distortion. Here’s a screenshot: http://imageshack.us/a/img202/9462/examplenq.jpg Notice how the edges (flowers in particular) do not show signs of any stretching, wether you look at them head on or in your peripheral vision.

I agree, that is a very slight increase and my guess is that this is 90 FOV.

Yes, there is a slight fish-eye but it’s very subtle. By nature, increasing the FOV gives fish-eye not matter how subtle, but as i said it is part of how our eyes and visual cortex processes data so even going to a FOV of 100-110 is fine as long as you look at the center of the screen.

Anyone in the gaming industry should be aware of the fact that PC gaming does need FOV adjustment due to the differences in Monitor sizes, aspect ratio and distance to the monitor.

There is no BEST FOV for the PC, it needs to be adjustable between 60 -100.

What i do take as personal insult is the way ANET are out right lying and making up excuses. We have seen this in Darkness II before, where the developers said it will break the art and even that it will break the game. Well, Darkness II fixed the issues after all.

They are not even able to fix the hundreds of bugs reported for all the professions. Where are these teams you talk about?

All i see is them having a team of complete amateurs adding more restrictions and anti-X systems introducing new bugs instead of fixing anything.

If they not busy doing that they buff/nerf skills or fiddle with the economy and mystic forge recipes.

Ok to be fair, there have been a dozen actual bug fixes.

AoE is not working at all. As a ranger, my Entangle does not work on invisible thieves. Barrage does not work to get thieves out of stealth either.

More than half the thieves i have encountered in 3W either use infinite Initiative or teleport/stealth/speed hacks.

The class is broken and needs to be taken down a notch and anti hack systems need to be put in place.

Proof? I mean, you must have lots of proof right? Videos, screenshots, whatever? You know, in case Anet needs to ban these players?

Otherwise it sounds like you’re talking out your kitten simply because you dislike the class.

I am a live streamer that does 12h streams of 3W, i do have about 3 weeks worth of videos, most notable ones comparing thieves before and after this “unlimited initiative tool” got released and the differences are staggering.

I just want to say that I have had no problems with the FoV since the game has launched, even when I started playing it on my 4:3 monitor. Recently I upgraded to a 16:10 monitor, so of course I noticed a change, but I still didn’t think much of it.

I’ve watched some videos with comparisons between default and modified FoVs and honestly, every time I see the increased ones they look horrible. All I see is distortion and fisheye, like things should be not be moving like that. That and everything feels very tiny and not right.

However, I decided to experiment myself in window mode with a very wide resolution (1904×768) to see what it would look like anyways. OMG, this is so much better. I am totally on the FoV train now. I can completely see a difference, and there’s no fisheye/distortion going on either (or I woudln’t be using it). This is what has been missing in GW2 all along! The game looks a lot more “free” and “deconjested”.

This is a common mistake, if you watch a Video on youtube it does look distorted because the peripheral vision is different to the person that played/recorded that game sitting at a certain distance from a monitor with a monitor size that is most likely also different from your monitors size.

In short, videos do not work showing the effect. You need to actually set the game to fit your Monitor, distance from screen and resolution to see it.

A Process can spawn many others and those can hang as well. From simple service calls to .dll hell. There are plenty ways to have memory leaks. Just because the main .exe is closed does not mean there is nothing still running

I find it very strange that a professional game designer that knows about the technical reasons for adjusting the FOV on PC to 90-95 could just ignore these facts and bring forth preposterous arguments to defend this position.

I find it even stranger that these arguments are void because the game supports 3 Monitors. This essentially makes all your arguments invalid and quite honestly look like you think we are stupid. I find that very insulting.

Mesmer and Thief have been my most played classes in Spvp and partly in PvE and I KNOW stealth is insanely strong in this game. Single strongest defensive (and sometimes offensive/utility) mechanic in the game.

Being able to get away with a glass cannon build and have such good survivability is due to having invis. It’s not just that a thief can burst you down a bit, stealth and redo it once, they can do it multiple times. I have a stealth/glass cannon build that has 30 in shadow arts and 2 stealth utilities, stealth heal, and dagger offhand I can re-open a fight as many times as I want, completely avoid ANY fight I want and come back to burst a single or multiple people and just go forever. It’s insanely easy and forgiving.

You don’t even need to go that far, just the stealth heal and the occasional cloak n dagger alone will give you all the stealth you need to constantly tip fights in your favor.

I totally agree and it’s good to hear a Tief/Mesmer player confirm what i have been saying for a long time. Someone at ANET has a huge hard on for these classes and they are unbalanced.

I just saw a video of a Mesmer doing 17k+ damage with 2 skills in sPvP (Blurried Frenzy and Shatter). Within less than a second. That is just complete insanity.
