What alternative could they have done for league achievements instead of having class specific achievements?
It could be as easy as “get a stomp” on X amount of classes e.g.
The achievements could also be linked to unranked matches alone.
Its just a constant source of conflicts having 1/2 team trying to advance in the league and the other 1/2 are there for achievements.
Furthermore I have more than once seen people try to relog a different toon in the middle of the map because they need achievements..quite often with dishonor penalties and lost matches as the result.
I just want a more competitive and less trashtalking sPvp experience.
You did a good job making sure people that are new to sPvp have to advance to level 20 before joining competitive matches…however I find it counter-constructive that you have these daily achievements where people have to achieve wins on a certain class..even in the higher divisions, you see people joining matches on classes they absolutely do not know how to play.
This is the number one reason for flaming, griefing and are destructive for a competitive sPvp scene.

Lately I´ve had major lag issues playing your game..getting massive spikes up to 500+ping
The bottleneck can obviously be caused by many things along the traceroute.
I´ve been running a tool called WinMTR and I have zero packetloss before I hit your servers, where I get a packetloss up to 10%.
Its soooo annoying losing pvp fights because you lag all over the place.

I am new to the thief class…I am getting one-shot by these traps, am I doing something wrong or are its supposed to be like that?
And the real sad part about it is, they could have people do the job for free if they reached out to the community..plenty of amateur game developers that would give their right nut in exchange for getting the chance to design a map.
Im perfectly aware A-Net hate the Wvw community.
But at least keep the illusion alive in me.
Sadly yes…its just a serious stupid place to cut corners on interfaces.
Wvw community look at that map 100´s of times a day.
See its basic marketing..if the map present itself as 3 patches of duct tape..its hard to believe in the content of the map.

I´ve seen numerous posts over the last couple of years begging for developers to implement changes that would break up the mindless megablobs ruining the WvW-scene.
The changes you made to stability have done the excact opposite and made it close to impossible to run in smaller(15-25) groups, because 15 line of warding and 11 static fields simply owns everything-end of story.
I do understand you have designed this game for the casual gamer with average skill-level and at the end of the day they pay your bills, but even for the casual gamer its healthy to strive for an enviroment where your spec and choices on the battlefield makes a difference.
Another little details is:your game-engine cant handle these megablobs.
Since there was nothing mentioned in patch-notes about it,it seems having stacking sigils on underwater weapon are no longer an option..hard to know whether it was your intention to have this option or not?
You leave me with no other option than to think it is now bugged,because its no longer viable.
Ps. Still getting stuck on siege when building it and stuck after using blink abilitys.

Shortly after I got killed by a player called “unknown” not visible either.
Please fix this bug.
I find Gust on staff the worst skill,with the amount of gapclosers melee have in this game,a soft caster like a staff elementalist should have a well-working point blank AoE knockback.
A little oddity I found..Put e.g. Sigil of bloodlust on your underwater weapon and you can use your normal stacking weapon to get your 25 stacks and you don’t lose the stacks once you swap to your main weapon.
After this reset I cant enter wvw..keep getting error code “WvW are unavailable while matches are being updated” even though the reset are over,tried rebooting,restarting game,relogging all my toons etc.
What to do?
Likes:
1.The synergy between classes,some bringing fields,some bringing blasts.
2.The introduction of “Guard Killer” and “Defence against Guards” buffs
3.Large scale battles,even though we need more tools for small organized groups to take on a mindless zerg.
Hates:
1.Overpowered siege and being 2 shot by thiefs in my insane defensive setup.
2.Staff eles ridiculous low HP pool and lack of defensive tools..(death shroud,stealth,clones as other casters have to hide behind)
3.Above all,I hate the lack of WvW focus from the devs,since its clearly here the game have its potential.
Make a 10% extra incoming damage/10% less outgoing damage de-buff for players that are within 10.000 units of 50-100 other friendly players..end of story.

Very unsatisfied with crit dmg changes..just changed all my gear to celestial to be more survivable in WvW and therefore went down the crit/crit dmg route instead of crit/power,hope we get to swap stats on the gear we already invested in..furthermore I dont understand why they buff d/d when staff still needed love and d/d was fine as it was?
Most of all I find it kittened to make changes to the basics of the game(hence new ferocity stat) so short after they introduced ascended gear..people will have to re-evaluate their gear choice now..not to freaking smart…and I am for sure not grinding 60 new laurels for another set…Very unprofessional to change game basics after the new gear and not at the same time.
A-Net claimed at launch permanent stealth was to powerful,so they introduced this system where they freely can jump in and out of stealth..this was just one of many brainfarts from the developers..Permanent stealth was never powerful since once the thief/rogue/assassin jumped on you,the stealth was broken and the fight was on…Thiefs are plain silly 1v1 in this game…same goes for mesmers stealth and clones on all dodges,your right..remove stealth from mesmers,redesign thiefs and give elementalists some defensive tools,we are the only casterclass w/o defensive tools…Ohh yes I forgot our broken knockback “gust” that hit 1/10 times.
Wait till they release legendary armor;)
250 dragonite ingots/250 bloodstone bricks piece etc sounds perfect for something you can change stats on.
I give the game a maximum of 1 year more to live in,before it slowly starts dying out,developers didnt see the potential in WvW in time and invested to much in Spvp ,Pve and silly events…btw turn of the freaking christmas theme now,im about to get sick looking at it.
You should have made ascended armor even harder to obtain and added the same feature as on legendary weapons where you can change stats..this way people could actually change specs in the future without having to grind gear for 1 month…and even gear up their alternative characters.
They should have sticked to the old system,reducing the casttime and cooldown+give it group-priority…but it would still be a waste of a utility slot…our ridiculous low defence make anything but lightning flash,mist form+either armor of earth or arcane wave a waste of a utility slot.
A-net got you on this one,they meant…“We´re bluffing staff”…sadly the dude writing updates had a peanut stuck under the L-key so the L never appeared.

Roll elementalist changes back and give us 3-4k extra baseline hp…end of story.
Next patch:give all classes the option to choose an extra utility instead of the elite…elementalists would benefit from this more than any other class and you dont need to come up with anything new.

On the plus side, Meteor Shower, Geyser, and Unsteady Ground are now pretty awesome
-Geyser needed duration not radius.
-Unsteady ground was more powerful with the cripple effect.
-The randomness of Meteor Shower are still in play even with bigger radius on the meteors +the general AoE nerf makes it less powerful than before.
Success criterion for elementalist are now whether they are able to flee.
Yes its laughable and are just highlighting how little effort they put into testing elementalists.
Remove conjured weapons completely..we already have 4 stances,a fifth in form of a conjured weapon are lame and clumsy since you only really use 1-3 abilitys from a single stance then you swap stance again.
My thoughts as a WvW elementalist..
1.I cant use melee abilitys as a caster,I instant drop going balls deep,even with protection.
2.Give conjured weapons to any other class than elementalist..we already have 4 stances,a fifth in form of conjured weapons are lame.
All elementalists really needed was;
-more survivability,so we dont get oneshot by superior ballistas or 2 shotted by thiefs.
-longer duration on geyser,so its a viable waterfield.
-All abilitys with delayed impact(eruption,dragon tooth etc)should have no casttime.
-the singletarget knockback from staff/air should be point blank aoe,since you dont survive long enough to target highburst classes jumping you.
But above all we were entitled to more baseline defence being 3-4000hp or 3-400 toughness.

Will not freak out before I see the full patchnotes tomorrow but from what the livestream revealed it seems these Devs need to go and get some fresh air and rethink the archtypes and what they bring to a group.
Atm. Heavy Armor classes bring it all:survivability, killpower, healbuilds …tank,dps,healer.
A buff to conjured weapons are the last elementalists need..we have 4 stances already,a fifth in form of conjured weapons will be lame and useless.
Higher hp-pool,some good elites choices,more reactive AoE damage,longer duration/bigger radius on geyser,a viable healbuild…and the class are sorted,staff-wise.
I played caster classes in the last 5-6 major mmo´s and I have always been willing to trade survivability for good damage output since it is the entire nature of playing a caster.
In GW 2 however I found the Elementalist to have mediocre damage which are difficult to control due to being groundtarget or with delayed effects….and ridiculous low survivability.
I understand I could stack even more toughness but that would bring my damage from mediocre to low and the entire idea of playing a caster are gone..and I would be better of playing a mindless zerg/shoutheal warrior
Water/firefields ok..but we still dont have the best waterfield or a decent healbuild..thats again the heavy armor classes you need to turn to for healbuilds.
You might not want the holy trinity in the game but screwing the classic archetypes are a really bad idea.
Tone heavy armor classes down or give elementalist higher default defence.
P.s.
Anet your smallscale pvp will never work…people play GW2 for wvw,face it or die once the next MMO with open world pvp hit the shops.
If you insist on smallscale pvp check out Star Wars T.O.R. and learn,their open world pvp sucked on the other hand…the force of GW2 are open world pvp.
Rangers bring a really powerful eliteskills for wvw:“Entangle”
Furthermore they have the best waterfield in game.
Mesmers are fine as they are but remove the pull from “Temporal Curtain” and give a proper point blank pull to the engineers.
There is a solution to skill-lag…instead of the outmanned buff,introduce the opposite,simply a debuff when you are more than e.g. 50 people from a given server within 20.000 units.
This will also have another positive sideeffect=breaking the megablobs and push the game towards more competitive wvw action.

Since moderators closed the thread claiming the issue was resolved even though its not..here goes again.
Getting random dc´s and the error message described in topic.
Same problem in my guild..it have been going on the last 2 weeks or so and are hitting randoms..today its my turn…massive lag spikes out of nowhere followed by a dc and error code.
The issue are definitely server-side but the fact its hitting randoms and not the entire zone are seriously odd..might come down to some server updates creating a conflict with certain videocards or something…who knows.

A thumbs-up to the RoF community for having balls and choosing the fight even though you are outnumbered.
Its just warming my old PvP heart to see a little outnumbered group taking on organized guildsquads..even though you might not succeed.
..2 hours wasted on a Fractal run where group leader disband party before we get daily reward chest.
Why did you design it like this..to cause grief and irritation?
I like this game in many aspect but stuff like this are just broken.
Still looking forward to meet a German guild with some “cojones”.
Or atleast make people able to play WvW on a guestpass when its down..slightly irritating to sit and wait for BLTC when your guild are on another server and you only have 6 gems..bleh

I know I got crap graphics but you should still be able to see combat log.Any particular reason to censor absolutely EVERYTHING in your screenshot? It’s not like your life is in danger because you made a thread about a game on the internet.
Just out of simple respect for friends and foes.
I know respect are an oddity these days on the web but nonetheless.

Dont think so..I have never seen any boons on siege machines..and even if they did I would like to know the combo that made this possible : )
Any dev. or admin. want to comment on this?
Are this within reasonable damage from a ballista?
I wear fully orange gear with pvp weapon and pvp backpack.
1750 toughness unbuffed,all armor repaired.
I dont like speculating in hacking etc. and i dont know whats on “the market” but this was supposed to player v. player and not being oneshot by siege-engines in endgame gear.
Did you have any Vulnerability?
Nope..even with unlikely 25 stacks of Vulnerability e.g =25% extra dmg..its way over the top.

This. The Ballista can do mad damage against a stationary (read: dumb) target. Against moving targets, arrow carts do it better.
Yah man you surely overdosed on potatos.
4-8 k would be a normal hit on a stationary target,but you would obviously already know this Sir (read:ignorant)

Well I got 1750 toughness w/o Orb bonus.
Furthermore this is not even a Superior ballista.
