Any updates from ArenaNet?

This is a really annoying bug, because you never know if you’re gonna get loot or not. I did all of W4 yesterday and got loot on first kills. Then I killed Sloth – no loot. Please reimburse us in some way for all the time and food that was spent…It took my group 2 hours to finally clear sloth, and that’s a lot of rare veggie pizzas and toxic crystals…

Templars[PwN] is a social gaming community in Guild Wars 2 on Kaineng. We are also an established guild/clan in Guild Wars 1, StarCraft 2, Aion, and League of Legends.

Currently, we have around 250 members.

We have our own Teamspeak 3 server as well.

Our guild’s mission statement is: “To create a friendly and relaxed environment, to provide a diverse range of activities as a guild for all players to enjoy, and to offer assistance of both new and veteran players.”

-Queensdale Trivia (Hosted by Lenny, he asks questions in Queensdale and those who answer correctly will win prizes.)
-Seasonal Guild events (We have our own guild events for Halloween/Christmas in addition to the official in-game events.)

Haha too bad I’m not an Isle of Janthir player, but it was a nice video. My favorite parts are when the people salute as the vista pans around and when the human in Cultural armor walks in a Branded area lol.

Haha, to be honest, that branded scene was added last minute because I ran out of footage. I was like, maybe someone walking around would be cool.

First of all, thank you for creating this neat dungeon, Fractals of the Mist, I really enjoy playing through it.

However, it has come to my attention that my computer (as well as some other people’s, from Google) crashes in the Uncategorized Fractal.

I also saw someone post that this crash has been fixed, but unfortunately, it is still crashing for me. Before the patch, I crashed at a certain spot on the jumping puzzle, and since the patch, I crash as soon as (sometimes 1-2 minutes) I enter the fractal. It’s getting frustrating that I have to abandon my team-mates during half of a dungeon run, and also that I have to restart to get my rewards for that fractal run.

Unfortunately, I was getting extremely furious when this happened again, so I exited the crash report before saving it and sending it. I will make sure to do so the next time this happens.

Hi all,

I noticed a bug with the dye system after I transmuted my armor.

I just transmuted my Protector’s armor (Coat and Leggings) with an exotic armor for the stats.

However, after transmuting, I’m unable to dye my Protector’s armor with the “Dust dye”, which is the default if you choose to remove dye.

When I dye my Protector’s armor, and exit out the Hero panel, the color turns into Gray. I tried using dye remover as well, but still resulted in Gray.

This isn’t a major issue, to be honest, considering there’s bugs with the Event. I thought it’d be nice to let everyone know.

Could you explain what you mean by “tethered iphone on wifi”? Are you tethering your iPhone’s 3G/4G connection to a Wi-Fi hotspot?

Do you know if your computer meets the minimal requirements to play Guild Wars 2?

Also, are you running Guild Wars 2 from the executable in the install directory or through a shortcut?

Could you try adding your Guild Wars 2 folder (install folder, not the one under your documents) to the file exclusions list in Norton?

Also, this might be a problem with your account if it’s not your security software interfering. I would highly recommend sending a ticket to ArenaNet, if you haven’t already.

These are the instructions I gave to another player earlier today, they also had Microsoft Security Essentials installed on their computer.

First, try adding the path to Guild Wars 2 to the excluded list.
Steps:
1. Open the MSE console (double clicking the icon in your taskbar)
2. Click settings.
3. Go under Excluded Files and Locations.
4. Click browse, then find the path to Guild Wars 2.
If that didn’t solve it, try this:
1. Same step as above
2. Same step as above
3. Go under excluded processes, and type Gw2.exe
If you have a 64-bit computer, type Gw2.exe *32
If the problem persists or if you have any questions, feel free to PM me/post here.

I would highly recommend you get an upgrade on your GPU.
Your current GPU has a 25.6 GB/Sec Memory Bandwidth, while the minimum requirement GPU has a 35.2 GB/Sec Memory Bandwidth (NVIDIA GeForce 7800 GS). The recommended GPU has a 57.728 GB/sec (NVIDIA GeForce GTS 450).
I just compared basic memory bandwidth between these three cards. And memory bandwidth is how fast your GPU can access memory, which is a significant factor in getting an increased FPS.
I couldn’t find the GW2 system requirements page anymore. So, I got minimum/recommended GPUs from Game-Debate, so I’m not sure how accurate they are.

Hmm ok, this is kind of an odd issue. I think you may have to escalate it to ArenaNet if you haven’t done so already, it seems like there’s a problem with their server accepting packets sent from your system.

I can only suggest one thing, and that is to rename your Guild Wars 2 setup file to something else. I’m not sure why, but renaming has done wonders in the past, and it’s easy, so it’s worth a shot.

Unfortunately, I don’t see any potential issues from your DirectX Diagnostics.
I’m going to recommend some suggestions (these fixed lockups on another game, similar to GW2).

First, some common fixes:
1. Run Guild Wars 2 in Administrator mode.
2. Update your drivers from your Manufacturer’s website.
3. Check to see if any of your hardware is overheating, and that if your fan’s operating at suggested speeds.

Some in-game fixes:
1. Enable/disable vertical sync.
2. Limit your frames to 60.

Some outside fixes:
1. Disable overlay programs. These include Xfire, Mumble, etc.
2. Add Guild Wars 2 to your exceptions on your anti-virus/security programs.
3. Run a Windows Memory Diagnostic to see if there are any potential problems with your system’s memory.
4. Run a malware scan, just to be sure!

Based on the issue Crylicus.1370 described, can you check some things for me?
Go to your connected networks, then find the Wi-Fi network you connected to.
Right click it and look at its properties.
Select Internet Protocol Version 6, and click properties.
Do you have “Obtain an IPv6 address automatically” and “Obtain DNS server address automatically” selected? Don’t change any settings yet, it’d be helpful if you could just tell me whether you have those checked or not.
Then, could do the same for Internet Protocol Version 4?

Were your PayPal accounts charged or just authorized to make a transaction?
Also, I would recommend emailing Guild Wars 2 support on this issue, as some people had problems pre-purchasing GW2 with Paypal resulting in the same error. ArenaNet just authorized their accounts and the problem was solved.

Depending on what Parallels version you have, try looking under Parallels→Preferences, and then click the tab that says Keyboard and Mouse. Adjust it to your needs, and uncheck the Enable Mac OS X system shortcuts if necessary.
