Guild Wars 2

I am looking for a active, friendly community that I can play the expansion with. I want to join a guild that it looking too start raiding when they come out and a guild that is interested in playing through the expansion as a group.

I have 5 lvl 80’s

Necromancer, Mesmer, Warrior, Elementalist and Ranger.

I am on Anvil Rock. But I don’t really WvW or PvP at all so the location of the server doesn’t really matter to me.

Well with thousands upon thousands downloading it at once! Their servers must be burning up right now!

I’m not sure what to expect out of an expansion but I would like to see some unique additions to the character creation design

Besides the obvious additions to existing options such as hair or faces (I think these will be added judging by the fact we havent received new styles in a long while)

In addition to this I would like to see an additional accessory type. Like beards for slyvari or scars for charr; something along these lines would be cool.

What do you guys think? Asking too much? What else would you like to see. I know lots of people would like to see fat bodies. Name some more.

Plus… change accessory colors in dye screen.

I agree with all of these.

One thing I would like to see, is the ability to save your appearance to a txt file or something (See the FFXIV system) so you can use that exact appearance again later.

I would be quite interested in helping out with this.

I have most of my experience with DMing and writing campaigns and things for D&D 4th & 5th, but I am certain I can adapt to more of the 3.5/Pathfinder style.

1299 hours, I got Storm from the mystic forge flushing random rares.

I’m pretty sure I am going to make mine a male Sylvari. I have come up with a pretty creepy look that I think will suit a Revenant (or at least how I picture mine).

What is the percentage of players that will just stick with the base game?

I think allowing people to experience everything except the new region, guild halls (and perhaps some sort of PvE content) makes no sense for them to do. They want to sell copies of the expansion and from my experience with other MMO’s, most players will get the expansion reasonably soon after it launches and almost all players will get it eventually.

I agree with what Garambola said. Just make a toon on another server and you can play with them, atleast until TC opens up (Which may take a long time).

I think based on your description. My opinion would certainly be to play the Warrior or Mesmer. Though the Mesmer MIGHT fall into the “requires really complex combos to be effective” category, depending on how complex you want to go.

Bare in mind that I am not a guy that know everything about the current balance of all the classes and that sort of things.

Just my 2 cents.

I have to thank you Skoteinos for your first build, it has made playing my mesmer immensely more fun then it ever was!

I previously ran 30/30/0/0/10 and found that SO boring, but now I am having fun again.

what are your life blasts hitting for?

My life blast hits for about 2k.

That is the build I am running actually. I just am working towards it and kinda feel underpowered compared to other people in my group.

So I recently hit 80 and have been running CoF to try and get gear to build towards my power glass cannon build. While it has been fun, I can`t help but feel a bit weak. My axe #2 hits on average for about 2.8k-3.5k and that is when I have used Blood is Power and Reapers Touch, as well as buffing myself with 6 might from DS.

I am wearing berzerker rares.

Can someone help me with what I am doing wrong?

Hello All, I was curious to know if you think that Axe/Shield was a combo that is viable for late game content, and if you I was curious if someone could give me a tip on what I should do trait wise.
