TL:DR: Joined for recommended daily fractal, turns out someone activated the challenge mote before falsely advertising a daily recommended run in LFG. Group was unable to turn off challenge mote and had to redo the entire fractal. Suggestion: Move the Challenge Mote right before the boss of that fractal and make it so you can also deactivate it.

So today I had the most wonderful experience in fractals… I joined a group for the daily recommended fractal (Aetherblade fractal level 65) and played through the entire thing. Then at the final boss the entire party realised that the challenge mote was turned on…

So what happened is that the person who opened the fractal had activated the challenge mote and THEN opened up LFG and advertised his party as [65 recommened]. Since you the challenge mote doesn’t come into play till you reach the Fritz in this example, we played through the entire thing and only found out at the end…

The entire party got mad at the person who opened and we kicked him instantly because this is false advertising and just a kitten move in general to force people to play the challenge mote when they’re here for a casual run.

So my question is, dear dear Anet can we have the challenge mote right before the boss battle as it only comes into play there and can we also be able to deactivate the mote. This has worked fine with bosses like KC in the third raid wing (only that you have to talk to the mote every time you want to do another attempt).

So there is no one willing to help me out with crafting it? That’s a bummer

You can get the knowledge crystals in 5 dungeon runs. Just play the dang dungeon.

The dungeon isn’t the problem I got 10k of those shards lying around. The issue is that I don’t have the recipe unlocked which costs 88 gold on the TP atm. Seeing how the gift isn’t account bound I would love it if someone could craft it for me

This might not seem like much of a problem but it is possible to use the world 1 variant of the boombox while in the raid. So either you’re not supposed to use either or the world 2 variant is broken.

Last patch Anet increased the amount of gold we get for opening fractal encryptions. Right now you would be making a profit when you open them (tested yesterday with 30 keys and made about 12 gold, then again small test pool so i can’t tell if i’ve gotten lucky or unlucky). Seeing how these boxes are buyable from the tp, won’t this mean that the price of these boxes will increase up to a point where it will not be worth opening them anymore? To me this seems like an oversight or they want to completely take away any liquid gold sources. Then again I do recommend everyone just buying encryptions while its worth it. U are probably gonna make at least a few gold every day for just 30 fractal relics a day.

Right now I finished all collections for Unbound and i´m on the second crafting step, the one that requires 5 globs. I allready had the two previous fractal capacitors so i did have the craft the last one. All I´m trying to say is that it really sucks that there is no way to work this goal other than just playing a kittenton and then still having to get lucky.

There might be some cool other ways to make mist essence available:

• Buyable for a considerable amount of (pristine) fractal relics (once a day like they karma convertor)

• Added to high level fractal dailies (would probably make them a ‘’non-mechanic’’ seeing how you will be swimming in them by just doing dailies)

• Ascended salvaging (make spending 1 gold on a salvage kit at least kinda worth it)

• Making them craftable (for example crafting a vial to hold the mist essence and then complete 5 or 10 fractals to fill it up)

• Add them as a RNG based drop from fractal encryptions

Imo these alternatives offer fair ways to gain mist essence at a rate that wouldn’t make mist essence a ‘’non-mechanic’’ in creating fractal related gear.

As most fractal players have probably noticed while working on their precursor for Ad Infinitum, you will need a fair amount of mist essence (all 3 tiers) to build the ‘’pre-precursors’’. Am I the only person that feels rather sad that this is based on RNG and that there is no other way to acquire it than to just either play a kittenton or grind for hours and hope for the best…

I’m actually going to farm it right now so if there are people on here that wanna do that, contact me ingame.

You have to start gliding off that cliff and then use skill 2 twice to get across. It isn’t explained that u can use the powers while gliding but I figured it out after dying a few times.

The game tells me to unlock the Exalted tier 1 mastery to continue the story while i’ve allready completed this. This happened to when i reactivated the story step after going back to some earlier instances to get some achievements. Anyone else experiencing this or got a workaround?

So league play just got announced and I just watched the video Curse put up explaining how this feature will work. But when i saw the UI for the rewards I noticed that the heritage light armor chestpiece was listed as a ‘’next tier reward’‘. Is Anet really going to add these skins as ’’Exclusive’’ PvP rewards ankittenhe only one hoping this is a placeholder… Because this would be a huge wink towards people that can’t be bothered to play the first game

I’m currently doing the same thing. As much as I know there are other gamemodes such as pvp or wvw, I just don’t really give a kitten about them. Especially now that most of my guild is on vacation im just logging in doing the daily in like 5 minutes and logging back out. The LA patch was the only patch with content this year and that kept me a little busy. It wasn’t much but it’s nice to do something new. I hope that with next expansion they pay more attention to the ‘’content drought’’ they create, I love this game but it’s just frustrating to log in every day for like a minute and then leave because you don’t feel like doing the content because you’ve allready done it a lot of times…

It also moves mobs that are ’’Unstopable’’ aka totally immune to CC like the Risen abomanations and Risen Giants. I gotta admit, it’s kinda funny to see a giant getting tp’d every few seconds xD

They have mentioned several times that they are calling the new trait lines reward tracks. So when they say elite specialization reward track, they mean the line that you unlock in the hero panel in order to use the elite specialization.
They said during the 4 hour ready up last week that these new tracks have rewards in them other than just skills/traits, for example the new weapon and shoulder skins that you mentioned.

Cool that they will probably unlock weapons/armor as we unlock stuff in that specialization track. But I do feel like we can unlock everything at day one if we got enough hero points left… I guess we will just have to wait untill they announce how those tracks work

In this text they don’t mention that the reward track is exclusive to PvP, so will the elite specialization reward track be something we unlock while playing the elite specialization in PvE? Or is it just a PvP reward track that’s mesmer specific or contains all weapons/armor pieces of all elite specializations. Discuss!

So as we all know it’s practicly impossible to get a fair game of PvP during off peak times during the week. The queues only consist of dragons in premade teams…. On my main account I constantly get ranked against about people that are way out of my league, which I can understand since i played a fair bit of PvP over the last few weeks. But on my second account i get matched against the same people i have to deal with on my main account, which really makes me question if PvP is even playable for casual people during the week. Every game during the weekend seems to end very close ( i am talking 500-450 close) so if only we could get some more people in the queues during off peak times PvP would be a lot more enjoyable!

To be fair people have been speculating about a marionette style boss in SW since the map was released and we could see the three lanes. So I wouldn’t really say it is impossible or even unlikely that something like that might happen.

I heard about the speculation but I find it a weird time to put it in the game now when people have been requesting it for a long time. Don’t get me wrong imo the marrionette would be a perfect example of a ’’harder’’ worldboss that requires people to split up and not just to zerk stuff down by standing at some dragons feet or that takes ages because you need to blow up an ice wall with +30 pact zookas.

I do think it’s very possible, if you look closely to the detail on the armor and seeing that we had some crystal desert lore in season 2 + a door with a symbol that could represent the forgotten. Well who knows

Not a whole lot of new stuff, there is one shot that looks like a mordrem version of the lane defense that we saw during the marionette but I don’t see that happen… Not a whole lot to see tbh, I find it hard to get super pumped when I see a dragon in a trailer when its just roaring and not really doing stuff….

So a while ago I had a discussion with a guildy who told me that the rangers in TA FWD start dodging your attacks when you would target them. I told him that it wasn’t a mechanic. So for fun I targeted a ranger and he freaked out xD Eventually this was seen as being ’’rude’’ by the guildleader (that I funny enough know IRL) and she decided to kick me for being ’’rude’’.

So my question, is that really a mechanic? Can’t be, right?

So after a grind that took up my entire summer holiday I finally reached the rank of God Walking Amongst Mere Mortals. But I can´t seem to unlock the title in GW2 now that I got it.

I did some research on it and some people suggested that you log out of GW2, log into GW1 and load the character with the title and then log off of GW1 and then relog to GW2. But that didn´t unlock it for me. Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong….
