I just really wish there was another non-timegated sink. I hate destroying stacks of items, or selling it for basically 0 on the TP. Adding this vendor back would clean up the ridiculous excess from last year, and really help jump start peoples 10k drinks achievement that every one is so eager to complete for the new skin. Any other thoughts on this?

The Ugly Clothing vendor from previous years was removed. This vendor allowed players to exchange X amount of Ugly sweaters, hats, and socks for 1 Wintersday Gift. As of right now, these three items have 0 vendor value. From what I can tell, the only use of it this Wintersday celebration is to use them in conjunction with wrapping paper, to create a ‘Wrapped Gift’. This can then be given to one of several orphans that you must find in Divinities Reach in exchange for some karma. So far it seems to be time gated perhaps, maybe one exchange per day per orphan? Even if it’s shorter than one day intervals, and even if you can hop maps to different IPs to give more Wrapped Gifts, it seems like a very, VERY small sink for the amount of these in game.

Take a look at socks alone for example, as of 4 days ago.

Nearly 3.7 MILLION of an item!

Hats come in at around 1.75 million, and sweaters at 400k.

I haven’t opened too many of the new gifts this year but it doesn’t seem like there is a ton of ugly clothing in it, if any, so at least that’s a plus.

Ultimately, I am really just curious if the vendor being removed was intentional or just an oversight. Should we simply be destroying all of these excess items since we can’t use very much via orphans?

If intentional, it’s time to slay every parent in all of Tyria, because clearly we need more orphans for some Wintersday joy!

You can still get Ascended boxes just like normal. 1-20 is a tier. 21-50 is a tier. 51+ is a tier. Complete 3, get a daily chest, and it’s even shown in your Daily Fractal tab. Have seen a Golden Fractal Axe from 21-50 tier chest and a Raiders Boot Box as well (forget the tier on that one).

I’ve purchased and opened probably around 10,000 of the boxes myself. I don’t have all the raw data but I would guess Aetherized skins are roughly 1 in 2000 or 1 in 2500. Check the prices on the trading post and you can see the sudden supply of them and people undercutting drastically before they tank.

Coincidentally I just did one recently.

No idea what compelled me to grind one out, but I just kinda did it.

This included one WvW borderlands map, before I remembered I didn’t need it for completion, 2 Triple Troubles with EVOS, and a Teq.

It says “over the past 1 day” because I finished between 24 hrs and 48 hrs after creating the character, and it didn’t tick over to the 2nd “day”.

This just flat out feels wrong after almost 3 years of nice fluid motion. Now it just feels slow and clunky.

I find your proposed ideas as perfect changes to make this item appealing. Right now it is a monstrosity.

The 25 uses for 250 gems is too many uses, but let’s say 5-10.

Over 400 unused, non-zerk rings hoarded. Fingers crossed for something juicy, but not setting hopes too high.

If you are playing in this tournament, it’s probably best to make sure there are no paths that you feel there’s a 99% chance of losing. Sure, some paths you might not feel as confident as others and time is limited for practicing, but yea, I agree with the whole ‘practice as many paths as you can’.

I know our team is really cutting it down to the wire.

Hmmmm. Have yet to see a single screenshot of a winner. :P Is the prize distribution still ongoing? Is there any confirmation whatsoever to any of this? (other than fluctuating tp prices)

Not sure if this is just me, or a widespread issue, but every single time a sandstorm hits 49 minutes after the hour, I crash. Started happening with the 7/29 patch. Anyone else experiencing this?

So far, we’ve had Sentinel, Zealot, and now Nomad. I see that both Sentinel and Zealot are selectable on legendary weapons which is great, and they both have also been merged into ascended armor and weapon boxes, for example, I can choose Zealot stats (Keepers’s) within the Raiders Chest of Ascended Coats, etc. That’s great so far.

My question is: Will Nomad/Ventari be integrated into legendary stat selection and the ascended armor and weapon boxes in the future?

Just wanted to start a list for people of the known foods from the recipes in Dry Top:

Prickly Pear Pie gives +40% condi duration and 33% chance to steal life on crit.
Cactus Soup is similar to Mango Pies, 85 health per second except with +70 toughness.
Loaf of Candy Cactus Cornbread is 70 toughness and 20% boon duration.

I am having the same issue as people are describing here. For me, it seems to happen most often in WvW on a ghost town server during off hours. My ping is consistently <100ms so I’m not sure what the issue is on GW2’s end, but I really hope it gets fixed. x_x

Yea, I saw that too. I’ve been checking them every day and it went from 12 listings to 3 in just a few minutes. That’s roughly 50,000 gold, so I’d bet money that it’s related to some shady transactions and/or bots. I think Anet should actually look into something this significant.

+1. Please make usable in dungeons. This is a pretty neat item and I’d love for it to come along with me in dungeons.

I would just like some clarification that we can get 2 attempts per day at this tonic, doing a 40 daily, and a 41+ daily. It will help my fractal group better select what 2 dailies we would like to do each day. Thanks a ton for any help regarding this.

I was about to just make a post stating this exact same thing. +1 for Vincent and his idea, as I can’t see any reason this couldn’t be implemented.

No one seems to understand my initial question, so I’ll clarify even further for you. Currently, level 48 is the highest even that you can do, they are making it sound like level 50 will be the new highest. This will introduce another daily you can do if so, being the next “set of 10”. I understand all the other changes, I’m just asking for a clarification on that specifically. That is all.

Right now FotM is essentially hardcapped at level 50. With the patch notes for the upcoming release and all the information I see on the forums, it’s worded to make believe we can do up through and including level 50. (opposed to level 49 being the highest doable one before)

Why this matters: If we can do level 50 it’s an addition daily. So essentially my question is, "Will I be able to do a 30 daily, a 40 daily, and fotm lvl 50 as a final daily.

Since the scepter would still be “Immobulus”, and since it’s still “soulbound on acquire” no, no you cannot.

It is indeed “missing”. The scepter somehow became “Soulbound on ACQUIRE” with the last patch, thus removing all from the TP. I doubt this was intended and submitted a bug report myself. Hopefully it’s fixed, as it’s a great scepter. I have one myself but it automatically became bound with this patch on a toon it’s not meant for. T_T

I’m normally not one to post for completing things or to show off, but I’m just so excited I FINALLY completed this awesome achievement! It took me 3 hours and 10 minutes of constant tries (during this sitting anyways) to complete it. I used Elementalist with a mix of Berserker and Celestial trinkets. As far as traits I used as much vigor/regen as I possibly could, namely the gain vigor/regen on cantrip use. Lighting Flash, Signet of Air, and Mist Form for utilities with Signet of Restoration. Scepter/Focus with sigils of Force and Energy. Hope this helps any ele’s out there and best of luck to everyone going for this achieve! Keep at it!

The first tier is 100 points guys. Not 500. 500 will be the 2nd chest you open, 1000 will be the 3rd etc etc.

The 500 point tier is actually the 2nd chest. Most people logged in and got the first tier right away, so most have overlooked the initial chest. Upon opening the 500 point chest you will get the 1% increase and it will be displayed in the menu.

I got the trident a few weeks ago and was ecstatic! I was hoping for it for a long time and finally got it to finish my Ele! =) however I see your point Nikaido, a lot of people want specific skins and water weapons can be discouraging. I know it’s easy to give up and be frustrated, but keep at it! It’s a game after all. I personally love how elusive the skins are. I do like some of the ideas for a Fractal Skin vendor, with high costs like 50+ pristine relics, and then some more, however if it doesn’t happen, that’s fine too. Fractals is fun, and the bosses are much more enjoyable (to me) than any other dungeon. Grawl shaman will always be my favorite boss: so much coordination, and personal survivability required.

When I play Fractals of the Mists especially, I enjoy fighting the bosses. Most are much more difficult then the other dungeons in the game and in turn are a lot more fun.
I hate standing and auto attacking Mossman.
I hate stacking on the Archdiviner to essentially skip the fight.
I think arena net does a wonderful job and all, I really do, but the fact that these exploits go on for soooo long is a bit discouraging. FotM came out in November, and Mossman has been glitchable every single day since then. I just wish they’d get on that sooner so less skilled and outright lazy players can’t exploit these things for loot/progression/etc.

But that’s just my opinion =P

I liked about 95% of the patch, but just curious whats up with the ice ele boss as well. Dredge is already long enough and having to pull the mobs out instead of Rabo (or whatever his name is) makes it longer. That’s ok. But ice ele stomping me at level 30 with everyone at 30 AR and decently experienced is a little disheartening.

Just wanted to confirm this as well. I shatter clones fairly aggressively so those extra clones definitely help too. I most likely look like an idiot frantically dodging around for no reason now. lol

This was quite a frustrating patch yes. The two things I noticed most were:

The Colossus Fractal is broken now. I’m glad they made it so you can’t bug the boss both battles and damage the seal etc, however, the last part is just too broken. The boss is hard enough but the mobs just do not spawn at all. If you’re lucky you can trigger some by wiping, beating down the boss to an invulnerable state again, and then pray for mobs. Even at this point though, I’m not sure exactly what the issue was, but the boss is just ridiculous and especially frustrating as Fractal 3. Please fix this ASAP as FotM was an amazing addition in my opinion.

Jumping is also completely broken. Have had many may people falling at both the Harpy fractal and the Jade Maw fractal (among other places), but those 2 fractals are where this bug really shines.

Hoping for a quick fix with this but otherwise keep up the great work with Guild Wars 2!
