Hey,

Can ya pls add an NPC in LA that sells a dungeon tour-book? The book would be a journal that unlocks a repeatable collection. To complete the journal, one must do each explorable dungeon path once. The same NPC would pay 25g in exchange for the journal upon completion.

Im pretty sure this would satisfy most the unruly kittens that miss their dungeon-runs. This way, players cant just grind she shortest paths for cash and it will spread the play out across all the dungeons.The idea is already yours, I stole it from EotN.

alternative suggestion:

allow profession swapping, but block off any view of the opposing team

swapping profession to accommodate a team’s make-up is paramount to making a PUG competitive with a pre-made

if swapping was locked-out, then PUGs would end up having a lot of toxic whiny kittens crying from the beginning of the match over team makeup instead of playing the game

The ‘Interact’ command is by default bound to the ‘F’ key. If multiple objects are in range, the command has a priority list on how it will function. This pre-determined priority list often incorrectly chooses the function one is trying to perform. This could be very simply solved by extracting the individual commands and allowing us to bind them however we want.

Example: You start rezzing a defeated NPC instead of picking up a bundle you need.

All of the commands associated with the Interact command NEED to be extracted into individual commands.

Heh … this reminds me. The game prioritize looting over ressing.

Shortest Job First. I’d rather get the loot and res after than not be able to get the loot until I’m done ressing.

In some cases you only have an instant to try and rez someone before they turn from ‘downed’ to ‘defeated’…having the key you press to rez prioritize something you dont want to do, such as looting, causes a fail…even tho you reacted properly and used the only command they allow you.

I’m not asking for any new functions, just a way to directly command some of the functions.

Please extract the individual command functions from mutli-function key-binds.

The ‘Esc’ key has multiple functions to it. The two functions, ‘Cancel Attack’ and ‘Drop Target’, cannot be bound to any other keys. ‘Cancel Attack’ can also be achieved by stowing weapons, but not as reliably as using ‘Esc’. ‘Drop Target’ can also be achieved by mouse-clicking off your target, but not as reliably as hitting ‘Esc’. The ‘Esc’ key has other functions to it, such as calling up the game-client’s menu and closing windows.

It is absolutely asinine to not allow ‘Cancel Attack’, ‘Drop Target’, ‘Resurrect’, and ‘Pickup Item’ to be individually bound commands.

LFG Abuse

I suggest the admins monitor LFG posts.

The LFG listings often get spammed with players trying to circumvent the TP by abusing the LFG system. The hurts the actual function of the LFG system.

If one tries to join multiple said LFG-abuse parties to report the abusers, then the party-join lockout comes into effect….which ironically protects the abusers.

Do not reply with “they should add trading.” That is a bad answer that’s not directly related to the issue I am raising. Players need to be warned and banned for directly abusing the LFG system.

This should be considered high priority, even with a pending expansion on the horizon, as this is proverbially kitten of human behavior that will only get worse if not addressed immediately.

3 Needed Commands; pls add

Please add the following:

A legitimate ‘Cancel Action’ command that I can re-bind. The ‘Esc’ key is multi-functional and not re-bindable as it is. The function to cancel an action DOES exist in the game, so no mechanical changes would result by adding a directly bindable command to ‘Cancel Action.’

A legitimate ‘Drop Target’ command. ‘Clicking-off’ or using ‘Esc’ are not as reliable as a direct command would be. This function already exists, but just like the above request, one has to indirectly perform the command by indirect means such as ‘clicking-off’ or using the multi-functional ‘Esc’ key.

A hot-key to directly call up the traits menu. Probably the most used menu tab that doesn’t have a direct hot-key.

Please add these 3 functions I request. They would make the game more mechanically-sound.

Yo, thx for reading. I is looking for guild that keeps karma and mf buffs up all the time & is fairly proficient in speed-runs. I’d prefer the guild have a trial period for new members to ensure no baddies. If you have any rep requirements you must be on JQ…if ya don’t care about rep, just be an NA guild.

I am a loser irl because I have 5k hours played since launch.
8×80s in Zerk armors w/ Ascended Zerk Trinkets.
I’m fine with using any voip.
I focus play as Guardian, but am fairly proficient as Ele and Thief.

I am extremely put-off by narcissists in gchat/voip.

Veteran player spends ‘X’ amount of time explaining the mechanics of how the shades work, as they are NOT explained in game even remotely close to thoroughly.
Veteran player explains the mechanics ‘n’ quantity of times the event happens.

Coder explains the mechanics ONCE in game.

Coder saves veteran players ‘Xn’ time.

Anet: you could very easily assign one or two coders to fix this and i promise you would get thousands of volunteers to point out where your mechanics lack explaining.

I am outright disappointed that the game is 615 days old and one still has to turn almost every attempt at assaulting Grenth’s temple into a teaching lesson to other players about how the mechanics of the fight work.

I don’t mind teaching others, and I expect a few failures due to the player base in attendance not always performing the best…but an event like Grenth outright requires teaching other players because the nuances of how the shades work is entirely unexplained to them otherwise.

Anet is pushing their job of explaining event mechanics onto other players way too much for a game that is 615 days after launch. If one coder would take 5 minutes to put some guidance into the HUD about the event for new players, then COUNTLESS time wouldn’t be wasted amongst the many players who run temple events.

What other events should Anet have on their to-do list to either better explain the mechanics or re-work the mechanics that don’t work on the meta-level?

So karma DR kicks on in less than two cycles battling for LA

This discourages participating in events.
This wastes any karma boosts used.
This gives me the impression that Anet doesn’t value the time and effort some of us are putting into their events.

Anet, please fix your Karma DR, it’s purely kittened. Your testers are inadequate if they didn’t reach DR on this event.

8x 80s, 12.5k+ AP, 4k+ hours over 500+ days

i’m a self-sustaining player and dont need a guild for anything other than quality ppl to play with. i’d like to find a guild that stays excited about the game and continually tries to improve skill and methods.

once i find the right guild, i have a small coterie of other players who would then come with

Fractal party was going well. Party host had to disconnect and left party and got everyone kicked out of final fractal.

Time wasted with no end reward, not as a consequence of the gameplay, but as a consequence of a poorly designed party system anchoring on one individual.

This issue needs to be immediately addressed. It’s existed for the entirety of fractals. No more excuses. This is a shameful fundamental flaw. To knowingly have this system in place, receive endless complaints, and still not fix it is nothing less than lazy.

The Instant Trait Reset item is now available in the Gem Store in the Consumable category for 70 gems each or 5 for 300 gems. Players can use this item anytime they are not in combat to instantly have all their trait points reset. This item is not usable in structured PvP.

I wouldn’t say we can count them out, if a death is off screen I don’t believe it till I see a body (I’m looking at you Syrio Forel). The way I see it, by the time we get to Primordius, it would be a perfect time to introduce stone dwarves, which incorporates a bit of familiarity with a (kind of) fresh take on them, which goes with GW’s design methods.

As it is I can already see plant legolas and stone gimli……..ugh.

Support promised a response to a support ticket i opened 9/3/2013, but they haven’t responded for 7 days now. My issue resulted in an immediately ‘escalation’ to a higher level of support. The escalated support tech who took over my case investigated my issue and responded positively offering me a solution on 9/5/2013.

It’s now 7 days later and have yet to see the fruition of the proposed solution. The support tech doesn’t respond. The ticket is still open. 2 days ago I opened a new support ticket to reference my original case, and the status of the new ticket has been changed to ‘duplicate’ and had no written response to me.

I believe the support tech named Andreas may have died, quit his/her job, is out sick or on vacation, or possibly is in some sort of peril….otherwise he/she surely would have follow through with the proposed solution and have contacted me back.

Who should I contact at anet for resolution? If I can get a anet employee response to this post I will PM the support ticket #.

I work tech support for an industry-leading software company….I know this is embarrassing to anet, that they can’t follow thru on a simple support ticket. =(

my inventory is often open while playing…similar to isaiah cartwright’s setup

keep inventory 10-wide and condensed to like 5 or 6-tall,
put all quick-use consumables in top-right corner,
drag inventory all the way to the left so that it’s mostly off-screen

dont like OP’s re-skin, but i agree with OP that new Eternity is atrocious

Purple + Black foot-falls and that ugly purple mist-aura….complete contradiction to sunrise and still looks nasty with twilight. the effect inside the foot-fall looks like twilight’s graphic with blotches of sunrise’s sloppily thrown in. For a game with amazing art, this is equivalent to a pathetic joke (sry to the artist, but u needs to go back to the drawing board). your color scheming is just repugnant.

a sword that cycles night to day is an awesome concept….why not STICK WITH THE CONCEPT instead of putting that ugly ugly ugly purple mist kitten everywhere.

as a sunrise-wielder who happens to have a dusk sitting around in bank and tons of in-game cash to work with, i am outright DISCOURAGED from making eternity due to this recent atrocity. i’d be much happier with the legacy version of eternity if they’d just update it to properly show twilight/sunrises tracing effects on all skills, foot-falls, auras, and remove that lame-kitten glowy pommel too

grind wars? you get an easily achieved max lvl and a rly easy path to acceptable gear, not to mention you can have all 8 professions each maxed out within less than a month. money and drops are super easy to come by.

ITT ppl complain because they have trained themselves to complain first, think second.

This post is short and sweet. Living story is attempting to compel people who feel the NEED to play by creating all these achievement and weapon skin filled festivals, instead of creating content that makes players WANT to play.

As soon as people say “wait why am I playing this again?” the entire thing will collapse for them and they will likely not be interested in playing as much, if at all.

balances are certainly welcome, but this implementation method just screwed over anyone who was saving karma pots to use in a buffed session. not giving warning is a betrayal of trust.

anet has again proven that they dont play their own game enough to know what it’s like to be one of their customers.
