Okay, I’ll first off admit that i was on a bit of a hiatus from GW2 for a few months and as this is the equivilant of the help forum I hope I’m posting in the proper place.
I’ve found I’m at a bit of a loss as I have returned, I started a new character and completed one of the hearts but I did not recieve the letter that tells you to meet with your mentor and start the storyline.
I also looked to another character (thinking I might have hit a bit of lag and the letter will come in time) and I now need to gain like five levels before I can complete the next story quest.
It’s rather obvious I missed something somewhere so can someone please tell me what happened while I was gone?
So I hope this is in the right spot. if not I’m sorry.
For the past three weeks my IP address has been changing and I’m not sure why for two of them.
I had recently moved and so my old IP no longer is connected to my laptop that I had before I moved that I played the game on. This is understandable and I had it log that the new IP address was the one I was on full time now.
However not a week after that my IP address changed again, twice.
I’m wondering what could be causing the game to think that I am on an IP address that shows I’m in the next city.
It could be a possiblility. I mean how many of us DIDN’T see what happened when Logan went “Let me test this”?
No hands?
Though as much.
I agree with Red. I think the one that has barkish skin would be bark like and the smoother skin would be more like grass and leaves.
I decided to break down and go ahead with making an elementalist, what is a good PvE Build for an air elementalist on GW2 and what aspect should I focus on? Power, Vitality, ???
I have three characters I bounce between on Devona’s Reach which are still currently in the single digit levels between 3 – 6. I am not good at PvP but then again I don’t play such often so it would only make sense that I am not good at something I don’t do so if you are willing to teach me how to be better I am willing to learn.
I do mostly PvE and I am still learning the game and spent some time here on the forums checking things out to learn how to play. I have yet to choose a craft (if that matters)
My current characters are:
Sylvari Ranger
Norn Guardian
Human Engineer.
I’m working on starting up an engineer. What are the good paths to go down for it? I’m not sure what paths there are to begin with so I guess I’m looking for something that can survive without being a glass cannon.
To be perfectly honest I had to look at the picture… I forgot about my plant biology.
Though I guess to be fair it has been several years since I was in any sort of biology class.
From memory I seem to see a great deal fewer Mesmers and Necromancers (Least played).
I can’t really tell you much on the learning curve ones but someone else might. I enjoy playing Engineers and Guardians personally for a personal endorsement.
Could be.
I always figured from a Lore perspective that they just “know” their name. They just go in the dream or wake up and just KNOW that their name is Avylin or Zepher or whatever.
So what is the point of a bunch of the choices in character creation.
I know that certain ones choose the storyline for you (Humans: how you grew up, Norn:What you fight for, Sylvari: What you dreamed about/time you woke up) But other ones (Humans choosing a diety and regret, Sylvari: The Proverb, Norn: What your totem is) Do they have any significance or are they cosmetic?
So I’m wanting to play a Sylvari after playing a Norn for a while. For those who are experienced which would be better: Ranger or Elementalist and if these aren’t good than what should be the class I want to be looking at?
I like how I logged in to see what was up and there’s this big red banner that says “Yes we know there are log in issues.”
Makes me feel involved informed and important. I don’t like games that consider you to be just a paycheck…
Is it possible to gain experience while playing with another race and doing their storyline?
Example: I am playing a Sylvari, my friend is a human. We’re in the human area doing his story quest.
Is it possible for me, the sylvari, to gain experience when he finishes and goes through his story quest?
Also: Is it possible (I think it is but want to be sure) to gain experience not from the quest completions but through the fights along the way?
I haven’t had this problem since I just started but I do like the idea of being praised/condemned by your own choices. Not by those of others.
Also, the ability to see cut scenes through like in the original guild wars instead of someone cutting them off would also be nice.
I just started the other day and I hear a lot about crafting.
I know crafting is different for each game so i wanted to know if it is worth it on the game and what the extent of what crafting is and does.
For instance: there are some games in which a lot of the best equipment come from the items players make and sell to one another. Is this true in GW2?
Also. What items and crafts are available to players to do?
@JemL: I mean play as a group. For instance. I play a norn race, if my friend is a Charr could the two races meet up, group, and play together.
Is it possible to play with other races? And if so do you need to be at some specific point?
