Aeterna, an Emhry Bay guild, is looking for more active and dedicated members to join our ranks. Our aim is to create a fun and inclusive atmosphere, while maintaining our competitive edge. We are a close knit group, and regardless of whether we’re building 10 golems to storm a keep in WvWvW or we’re forming groups to explore the new PvE content in FoTM, we work together. This is what so many of us at Aeterna have come to enjoy, and it is what makes us a force to be reckoned with.

What is “Aeterna” exactly?

We are a medium sized guild currently and we’re looking to expand to have a solid, active player base online every night and day. We have been addicted to WvW since prelaunch as well and it’s safe to say that we are loving it and love making an impact whenever we can. We don’t want to become a quantity guild with just sheer numbers who don’t speak to each other, we want quality player additions. We would like to build a close-knit guild so to speak, where everyone knows everyone, where we have social and friendly chats going on every night.

What is a Quality player?

There are many ways to define a quality player and can be generalized as a skilled and knowledgable player. That’s great, but we’re looking into something that’s more then just that. We want the person behind that player. We want someone who can follow orders, or at times, become a leader. We want people who are willing to listen and take into consideration criticism and become a better player. There is no “I” in a guild, there is only us.

What can Aeterna offer you?

We’re just a bunch of real people that enjoys every aspect of the game. We are very competitive when it comes to WvWvW. We play to win. We like to keep it real so drama is not acceptable and will not be tolerated. We are all adults/young adults, so you’ll be treated like one. This guild is full of oppurtunities and the only direction you and the guild is going, is up. You will never encounter a glass ceiling within this guild, I promise you. We will never EVER, deny anyone when they need help or pretend we didn’t notice them.

What are we looking for?

We do not recruit the player, but we recruit the person behind the player. For us the most important thing is to maintain the friendly feel and encourage guild play. Our current player base is mature and we wish to keep it that way, but there is no age discrimination and strict limits on age is not implemented. Although the core players are hardcore, we encourage people to live their lives before logging in to the game. Don’t get hung up on this game too much. That said, we expect you to remain active and help us make a presence in WvWvW.

The leaders

Our leaders are very much different from other leaders from other different guilds. They listen to you and are always willing to take criticism from guildmates. They are always asking opinions from other guildmates and how or which directions the guild can go whether it’s wvwvw or pve. Just a quote from our most beloved Guild Leader Alpha Bladie, “I am the Leader of our guild but that doesn’t necessarily mean I am of higher status. I am your host, your older brother and I am here to serve you guys. Us leaders invest our time and effort specifically in everyone to become the best we can be. You guys are what’s going to make us, a guild to be reckoned in GW2.”

Can no longer quote this as it would appear to have been deleted. Shame as it has to be the funniest thing I’ve read in a long time. We are Aeterna btw. I fully encourage you to report us more for killing you in the future. I believe his hacking gives him 3600 range. Just an fyi.

Please understand. Several of the people posting in this topic have spent their GW2 gaming experiance on one server. We had no intention of changing wvw. Myself, i didn’t even use my main character. I used a level 20. I simply went to other servers and asked people what they thought of wvw, what they wanted and so on. On the 31st I made my last server transfer, wondering if I would find what I considered to be a better fit for my guild. My guild discussed the pros and cons of each server we had visited. We considered the impact our guild might have on wvw. We didn’t want to exacerbate previous issues but to empower our destination. We finally chose a server and the many people who had been transferring all week in order to best pick the server were blocked from joining the server we had chosen.

This, in full knowledge of the post regarding the 1st nov change, is somewhat frustrating. As a guild we were particular to reduce the problems that we saw in wvw. Due to errors on Arena Nets side we are now suffering without being able to party with friends, nor participate in wvw.

I don’t understand why you feel the need to post here and attempt to abuse people.

Kultz, I’m sure you appreciate your opinion, but I doubt others with this issue do. There was a clear post about this in the forums, which is contrary to what has happened to us. Flatly, customer services stated that there was an error, but they did not have the facility to change it. Please refrain from stating an opinion in a matter that neither applies to you, nor affects you.

The waypoint closest to Lupicus has gone mia. This leaves either an enormous walk back or having to res dead people.

My previous attempt at this path had the waypoint, but the gate wouldn’t open.

Would greatly appreciate patch notes containing what is being changed in Arah, for instance.

There is a plethora of broken npcs in game as well as broken quests. I wouldn’t expect any game to ever be bug free but in many other games, when there is a game stopping bug, the start of the route to that point will be deliberately blocked. Such as disabling the enabling npc. In my very specific case, why not remove the second option for Arah explore until the door issue is fixed?

I’m from Aeterna on Ferg Crossing. Congratulations. Personally, I am wondering what you guys are gonna do in the next bracket where servers have some night populations and some of the Oceanic guilds who joined temporarily for the week are gone? The basic problem is that the orb bonus is so extreme that it took us too long to get one orb off ya and actually start fighting somewhere approaching even.

Had some fun spending a whole day taking the map that would be lost in a few hours after we start logging. Cheers to your night crew!

Well, I’d best be telling you about Aeterna on Ferguson’s Crossing. We were formed back in 2005 on Ragnarok Online where our focus was, and still is, on large scale pvp. We will strive to bring Ferguson’s Crossing to the top. Rather than a paragraph of text, I’ll attempt to address your points in turn.

-Though we don’t have a web site, we provide paid forums and a mumble server.
-We ask that our members represent the guild (rather than another) and have mumble for wvw.
-We have a wide age range, from a few late teens to a 60 year old. Wont guarantee no trash talking though it is all in good humor.
-Though we have a female presence, we’d like a more feminine feel to the guild.
-Highly active.
-Having been active since 2005, you can be sure that Aeterna wont disappear on you.
-Harassment. Well, cant say we’ve ever harassed anyone and would absolutely take a strong line on this.
