If we cant have stability i want a decent way to get vigor.
I think that what make the necro really fun to play, you have to be award of what going on the fight.
Our long kitten CD force us to use our skill wisely and since we cant escape a fight we cant just make an error and run away like our opponents.
That what make our class enjoyable, the challenge lol.
Rather having a hard time fighting other than just being an op class.
The 25% speed on a necro dagger is awesome, i try to keep it in passive all the time, i use it only if i need to win 2-3seconde to go in DS.
I have to agree i like signet of vamp too, with the trait the CD feel right and the passif is enough combine with good life force regen to keep you alive.
Plague signet + staff #4 are enough to keep the condition away.

Anyway if we get such a good spell, it would be like 1+ minute CD, because we are necromancer….
Why not dagger #3 for leap + chill or cripple ?
I really love dagger #2 in 1v1 situation, or to win 2-3sec for my DS while getting gang banged.
The staff #3 is really usefull on all build for the good chill, #2 clear bleed and give regen so it nice.
Now for the dagger that you are complaining about it is a good weapon. The auto attack is quick so i stole alot of life with my trait while doing decent damage. With my permanent chill mod i swear this auto attack is REALLY GOOD.
What about a little vigor when using (in addition of the poor heal that can be useful sometime just to gain 2-3sec and pop DS)? So we may win a roll with it.
I got i what i can call a perm chill mod and i dont have any special issue with mobility. Signet of the locust is great too with the 25%.
My only problem is those stability guys, since it the last boon to go away….
my i5 3570k Oc to 4,5 with a geforce gtx 670 get me around 15fps with all maxed. But i play with character quality to lowest in wvw, i win around 15fps just with this option in big zerg (compare to low).
I have a Razer Blackwidow and with Razer Synapse installed and configured for my keyboard i had no problem using my macro ingame.
Macro are kinda new to me (Dont feel any need to use it) but i think that there is no game who will recognize your macro, you have to set it up right first, then let your program open while playing.
you can play WvW with “decent” graphic (decent compare to what other mmo offer but nothing compare to the actual highest graphic in gw2). While streaming, i don’t really know if it gonna be a problem but probably not that much.
For 1000$ you gonna have a hard time in WvW…
Finally, the first anet answer for the fps issue… My cpu is OC to 4,7 and still get kitten very well by the game.
I really hope they will find a solution soon, cant wait to go back in WvW without having to low almost every setting.
First we would need to know what your spec. (What in your pc)
The problem is, it the guild wars 1 engine modified. So it doesn’t use the full capacity of our new pc stuff. In a zerg the cpu is running at 100% which doesn’t make any sense because i got a i5 3570k OC at 4,7Ghz.
Potato engine wont allow you to do this.
Yep this potato engine is really frustrating, we just want to optimize and we cant. >.< And i never seen an answer from a dev about this optimization issue.
Do they care about that ?

But you guys are telling that there is no build who can run gw2 all maxed in a massive zerg with at least 35-40fps? The graphic are an important part of this game, it sad if i have to lower it.
Hi, i started WvW recently and i have some fps issue. I run gw2 with a intel i5 3570k 4,7ghz as Cpu, a Geforce gtx 670 as a graphic card and i got 16gb of ram.
My fps shut down to 15-30 when i am in a big zerg (Same with dragon event) with all the graphic maxed and i really wanna improve it but i don’t know if i should switch to a i7 or get a second 670 (Or switch to two gtx770)….
All my friends are telling me that a i5 is enough for gaming but i am not really sure…

Just to let you know, if you guys have a problem with the incoming damage, you can have almost a permanent retaliation with enormous damage with the axe and death shroud.
And for the condition there shouldn’t be any problem if you use Melandru rune.
For the healing mod with the healing skill use at like 6condition give 11’532heal/clear condition and with the trait it give 5sec of retaliation. ( You have to admit that for a 25sec cooldown it a pretty impressive skill )
Yes we cant really avoid damage directly without a retaliation mod, but we got a lot of chill without any compromise ( which is really useful by the way ) , a lot of fear without so many compromise, a “second life bar” with op skill in it, we are the best for clearing condition and removing boon.
If you choose to be a Condimancer then yes you gonna have a real lack of survivability due to all the sacrifice you had to do. Great damage but lack of survivability and you cant avoid any damage and you almost have no heal really effective.
With the siphoning heal i heal 45 per hit, combine to #2 with dague 371 + 45, + 281 with the permanent regeneration = 697 heal /seconde ( but we lack of survivability ). and with the staff if you hit 5 target you win 45 × 5 = 225heal/hit + 281 regen = 500heal/seconde on your staff. And + all that we got an awesome death shroud !

Wait, necromancer got a lack of survivability ? Right we aren’t survival as the guardian, but it not our job too…
I think this trait is just totally useless compared to the other trait you can choose, even with a 2k base heal. Ive got a healing build and i think they need to change it because you would need the old 50% faster death shroud cooldown to make this trait worth it.
Just to let you know, Minion ain’t really worth it except our op golem.
Now i run a healing build with the cleric and for your weapon, Dagger/focus + staff is the must. With your focus you can rip 3 boon + chill and you can give yourself some regeneration + some life force the off hand dagger is for condition.
Your staff got some awesome survival utility so you must upgrade it in your trait.
The heal when you leave death shroud dont really worth your trait point, even if your healing.
Necro always been op… But now with that patch it easier to be good with the necro, like the mesmer was…

You need to get the more retaliation you can with the axe.
Your staff clear all condition in aoe, chill/poison in aoe, give regeneration in aoe and it fear in aoe. And you are telling me that the 20% reduce cooldown is kinda useless ?
The condition necro is more for smale scale pvp, you should look for a power/healing build for the WvW. Because in large scale combat, player die so quickly and your condition is more for a long time fight.
So Velron.3729 , Come in spvp and fight my thief, i cant wait to see how OP you are with the necro.
In WvW you need to have 20 in death magic to upgrade your staff, it essential.
Why would we be happy… Now all the player that was playing the mesmer because it was op, are all on the necro saying kitten to people…
I hope we get nerf so they all gonna get on another class.
If you are condition, why dont you use plague? I use the golem for his stun, and his damage aren’t bad but wont change the fight.

Are you saying that… you gain 5k with consume condition? is that mean you use it without any condition on you? Man it broke my heart to hear that.
Shadow refuge is the screw you up skill because he can stealth himself and the downed ally so it an easy revive ? And if the thief down in his shadow refuge, the stealth is long enough so he can teleport away and heal himself without any problem..

Did i just saw you compare signet of locust to some weapon skill? Dont do that again babe… It aint the same… If i use this incredible warhorn, how i will get my regeneration boon when im not on my staff ?
Dont forget spinal chill for 6sec too with your staff, spinal and your death shroud you put an endless chill, or one at the time if you think he will remove it…
Okay yeah thief are annoying when you try to finish someone but there not only the necro who got an hard time on that, i dont see why you complain… It just normal.
If you use your boon remover right (and if there no bug issue), even the guardian gonna cry.
Is the staff still good without the trait in it ? I mean the radius is really small and it can be block… I was about to try a minion build when i saw that i would have to sacrifice the minion or the staff.

signet of locust to reach your opponent faster, cap faster, and steal alot of heal in gangbang.
Flesh golem for stun and good damage support
Now you say that stability ? yeah that kinda why you got corupt boon, or if i got time to cast spinal shivers well it better ( but long cast time )

If you cant fear/stun the ranger because of his pet attacking you… Well no comment on that… For the thief if he shadow refuge your screw like every other class… Otherwise you just fear im away.

Im not playing with axe? maybe dagger and something else ? i was just saying that necro who wear an axe fill their death pool fast with the good trait to help

Yes, i agree on that because on 1v1 if you dont have an axe you will be having issues to fill the bar.
No we do nothing better than any class except dealing with condition/boon… But it op enough no ? Base on the fact that if you dont apply boon on yourself, you probably apply condition on enemy (Even full domage thief apply condition), and the necro deal easy with both of them.
And now the best part with necro, we cant be the best in anything, but we do everything at the SAME TIME so great. And by the way i get almost 800heal per seconde, how many is enough for you ?
We can only hope they will fix it soon… Because this utility rocks every bunkers ! ( And a miss can do the difference between die and survive )
First instead of epidemic why dont you use corrupt boon ? Now did i says i’m the best necro, no… But i seem to be the only one who’s not complaining for nothing because the class is well set.

Axe/warhorn with a staff is okay for a build condtion/critical/death shroud. But you gonna have a hard time finding some good traits to go with that…
Okay guys, here we go…. The real problem is your gameplay. As a necro i have no problem at all to stay alive, even versus 2player ( except 2dps ). In WvW it is just brutal… These mark are just awesome and that 1200range (L). In PvE, quite easy i can even solo some dungeon explorer…
So hey, instead of complaining on how necro need to be up, why dont you think about a good build and start learning the class for real ?
I want a mount, but not really to get more speed i already have 50%, i want it for the “swag”.
As a sylvarie necromancer i would like to ride those “Plant monster”!
Hi there, first of all i am a necromancer and i don’t see any issue of effectiveness in my pet. I use barely two pet, the “suicidal minion” that doesn’t really need any dodge or any modification (Or if we could know wich one gonna explode first it would be amazing ).
Now the flesh golem, i have to admit, you cant give him a dodge bar… He is just too powerful already. Yes, in a dungeon don’t expect him to be useful, the pets are more useful in a single play than in group, and it a good thing.
Now i guess you play ranger. Even if you complain a little bit on the pet, they are good at pulling no? i wont ever says no to party a ranger bro…. Even without a pet, they are real ninja. The pet is a good part of the character but not the whole character.
In PvE, a “dodge bar” ( and only one ) could be a good idea but only for the ranger, and only in PvE because i cant imagine fighting a ranger with his pet full of endurance…
I don’t really think that any professions could be prohibit, Guild wars 2 got the best profession balance. For builds, there is some “solo builds” and some for group, you need to choose.
One funny part in the puzzle is to discover it !
What about a druid ? I miss my druid from diablo 2 and World of Warcraft.
