The auto attack needs to be stronger and/or faster, and it needs to ricochet.
Otherwise, 3 and 4 will have to return initiative on successful hits, a la pistol 3.
Rifle won’t keep up in PvE otherwise.

High rank wvwer are reward more for playing wvw more, this is not a penalty to new players. Its just that the high end rewards for new players are low in wvw. Wvw did not have a good reward system for the first 3year or so. That was when all of this high ranked wvwer were gaining their rank, not for gear or rewards but because wvw was fun. Thinking that everyone should get the same amount rewards when some have not put in the same amount of time into a gamemode is unfair. The problems with the pip system are the base pips, wanting other options to gain pips(maybe add a guild hall buff or a booster) and the outmanned buff.
Bull. A high rank plays for 10 hours and maxes their pips. A new player plays for 10 hours and doesn’t even get half way.
Veteran players should NOT earn more pips per hour simply because they played back when pips were not a thing. They should just be grateful they already meet the rank requirements to purchase any gear or items.
This kind of shortsighted favoritism isn’t going to encourage ANY new players to stay in the game mode.
The amount of time a new player has to spend to get their weekly tickets is insane.
I’ve been WvWing on and off since launch and I’m only rank 400-something. And I get one extra pip? Are you serious? Tying the amount of pips one gains to such utterly absurd ranks was a total mistake. I probably do WvW even less than I did before this system was released merely because the new reward system is so freaking discouraging.
There should be NO extra pips for high ranks, let alone SEVEN. A new player shouldn’t be penalized solely for being new. I’m not even a new player and I’m still being bent over by this stupid system.
Of course the population is dying. Why would pips keep anyone interested? Any new blood would come in, see how kitten-poor their pip gains are, and leave.

Seems so. If it takes an “exploit” for a skill to be usable, then the skill is broken and needs a redesign. Seems hard for the others to understand.

It should never be a DPS increase to de-target your enemy and look straight down before using an ability. Honestly, it’s really poor game design.

It should never, ever be preferable that you stop targeting and look straight down to get the most damage out of an ability.

This always happens. You’re supposed to join a squad before the map closes, and then when you die, you get to a new map at that time, then you right click on the commander and join in his map.
That’s how I do it and it works.

And when there’s nothing with what I need in the LFG? Lol, what then? I shouldn’t be punished just because Anet is leaving HoT zones to die.
There are tons that I simply can’t get because HoT maps are DEAD. There’s no one doing the events. How the heck am I supposed to get event-related masteries?

Please make it so we can only craft one exotic per 5 days for all other stat combos. It only makes sense if Celestial is to stay the way it is.

Let’s face it. Crafting is inconsistent! One piece of celestial armor/weaponry takes 5 days to make thanks to charged quartz, while all the other stats can be made with no restrictions!
I propose that all stat combinations (especially berserker) have a similar time gate. One item craftable per 5 days, please.

To answer, though. Ascended is something of a grind, and I really don’t want to deal with the trouble of making damask and all that stuff. I’m content with exotic gear, for the most part, as long as it has the stat combo I want.

all time gate after the first ~month of it’s release is pointless. yes, “pointless”. i.e.: without a reason. If you can think of a reason, I’d like to hear it. the only reason I can think of for time gating something is to slow down how much enters the market so it results in as little disruption as possible. after a month, though, prices are all at equilibrium anyways, so un-time-gating it wouldn’t change how many people make.
Celestial gear can’t even enter the market. It’s account bound.
There is no reason for a single stat combination (since it, like the other stat combos, is only good for certain builds and certainly not the end-all of stat combos) to have a ridiculously long time-gate attached to it. ESPECIALLY ON EXOTIC GEAR. It’s really, really stupid and completely inconsistent with the rest of the game.
But I guess revamping (i.e, making it worse) leveling content and getting rid of lowbie downed state is more important.

Remove this kittening map already. It’s a buggy piece of kitten. I fell through the world, into some watery depth down below, and I was STUCK there. there was no way out. I was below the wurms and they wouldn’t do anything to me.
After the addition of ascended armor and WXP and various other things, this did indeed become one of the grindiest games to be released in recent years. I originally started playing because I wanted a sub-free game that didn’t have anything but cosmetic grinds. Well…

It would be nice if when you say you don’t like crafting you say what you don’t like about it. Crafting of some sort (mystic forge or regular crafting) would be much better because it’s something you can actually work towards.
“Work.” That’s what crafting is. Work. GW2 crafting, like crafting in most MMOs, is not fun in the slightest. It’s a horribly boring time and money sink. I would rather the ascended gear come from content I find enjoyable, even if it is random. Of course, I would prefer a much larger chance for it to drop, but such is the nature of Grind Wars 2.

You can get ascended weapons with almost no effort absolutely anywhere.
That’s not true. The chance of getting an ascended drop AND with stats you can use doesn’t make that a viable option.
When you get an ascended drop, you can choose which stats to put on it. Yes, it is a viable option.
He’s right. Over time, you’ll collect ascended materials and find that you’ll have enough to craft an ascended weapon eventually. I’m already more than halfway to crafting an ascended dagger.

Tarnished coast has once again broken the shackles of the ember farm. I do love destroying those cauldrons.
A simple fix for this would be to split the anchorage event in two. Let destroying the cauldrons be the first event, and let Andarzbad be the second event. The cauldrons can still be timed, but Andarzbad doesn’t need a timer. That way, it is incredibly easy to progress the event to the champion fight.
As it stands, the giant farm-zergs will often simply stop attacking andarzbad all together until the event fails. Changing it into two seperate events would ensure that a farm-zerg would not be able to block event progress.

My ranger can solo them pretty easily. Longbow/zerker gear.
The blobs completely ignore superior AC fire, you can shoot for an hour and not kill a single person. Screen: 3 AC were shooting this morning at this crazy blob, and got 1 bag total – not slowing them down 1 second. That’s with AC mastery on.
I suggest a 250% or more AC damage and radius buff while your side is Outnumbered, to counter the rezzing and 5 targets limitations of a giant 40+ man blob.
I know AC can be overwhelming during equal blob-fights, that’s why the buff should only be applied for the Outnumbered side. Even if the defenders decide to put 10 carts in one tower, nothing stops the uber-blob to take the rest of the map… so it’s balanced.
The outnumbered buff itself needs to change. All it is right now is a “Hey, our server is super weak right now! Take all our kitten!” indicator. Either that or they need to forcibly ensure no one on the more populated servers can queue until the populations even out again. I don’t know. Being outnumbered just doesn’t make for good gameplay.
