Been taking a break from the game for awhile while I enjoy other games, but I’ve been checking in to see how TC has been doing.

Just wanted to congratulate TC on their performance the past couple months. It’s awesome how the server came from (and still has) a carefree and silly attitude that attracts the PvE/RP playerbase to dip their toes in. It’s really cool to see the pugs make such a huge difference. It just goes to show that success in WvW starts with the community, and I really feel like TC has worked hard to establish that. That’s why from the start it has been a “good” server that has now become stronger and stronger gradually over time and I think that is what the server owes to its continued success. Not many bandwagoners/fair-weathers on TC and I think it’s really starting to show.

It’s kind of bittersweet though now that any continued success will be met with a promotion to T1. Kind of in a stomp/be stomped situation at this point, although the next major PvE content patch should shake things up in T2 again if TC is still there.

Anyway, congrats guys. Slow and steady wins the race.

Typed this a page back without reading the surrounding banter, but in retrospect i can see how this would come off as sarcastic. I really wasn’t trying to be. I’ve been following the scores but not the forum drama so much. I wasn’t aware that we apparently got transfers until now. But I’m not surprised. TC is a great server with a friendly community. I’m not sure what’s so bad about getting transfers to fill week time slots. KA powered from T8 to T2 on the backs of new guilds right at the start of paid transfers. And FA had a bunch of transfers to get into T2 a couple months ago. I guess if TC does it it’s not ok for some reason?

I’ve seen TC in Kain/FA’s recruitment threads talking about what good competitors you guys are and how you would be great servers to join as well. I don’t know why this can’t be civil. Even if we do get to T1 we’re gonna get smacked right back down. We’re gonna be with each other for a long time, might as well get friendly again.

Single Match Tournament Queues

in PvP

Transistor.8746

So we’re all aware of the uneven matches that are likely to happen when solo queuing for a single match tourney.

My suggestion is why not just make them like hot-joins? You can come and go as you please. That way if you have people leave/never join you can get an actual 5v5 going and the team with less players at least has a chance. It’s not like tourney’s are actually some end-all-be-all measure of skill and pro-leet-e-sportsiness (as much as people want them to be). Just treat them like hotjoins and make sure the matches are always fair.

2) You meet them and hear that they’re the best blacksmiths in all of Tyria and that’s pretty much it as far as their backstory

4) They’re at the celebration in the last story quest

Am I missing something? Is there a quest path I didn’t choose where they’re relevant?

HoM exclusive ranger pets?

HoM rewards are a nod to GW1 players. They are skins and minis.

We knew that there were going to be rewards in 2007. We knew what the rewards were in 2010.

If you wanted them, you could have worked for them. If you didn’t care, there’s no advantage to having them.

If you need a checkbox to hide HoM rewards, that’s fine by me.
If you want to purchase the HoM skins with gems/in-game gold, that’s a great way to kitten people off.

“We” didn’t know. Guild Wars 1 players and people following the production of GW2 for (based on your post) years knew. New players to GW2 probably expected to be able to earn their in-game rewards by playing THIS game. I know I did. Ground-breaking I know.

As someone above mentioned, you can still get collectors edition only items in the gem store. Should people that got the original digital delux/CE versions at launch be upset by this? If they are I haven’t seen any posts about it.

Ok a lot of people seem to think I’m bashing the HoM reward system. I’ve put a clarifying comment back in the OP for people that can’t seem to read/understand what me and others in this thread are saying.

I have a strong suspicion that most of the people claiming I’m entitled have unlocked HoM rewards and somehow feel threatened. And the people saying the UI issue “doesn’t matter” are not really offering much in the way of discussion.

No, I have the full rewards unlocked and don’t feel threatened. I’m not sure anymore if you’re asking for the pets or want them removed from the UI (which if that happened, how could we choose them?) . . .

Bear in mind, “hidden” items still will show up on listings so really there’s a small slice of people relevant to this discussion at all. The ones who look at the greyed out portraits and go “I need to have that filled” . . . while the people who look at the actual listing and go “I need to have it all” aren’t going to get any help at all.

So, no, don’t feel threatened, do think you’re acting a little bit “entitled” to something you didn’t earn, but hey, to each their own. Some people consider their character incomplete if they miss an achievement, and bemoan about how they will never be complete due to missing Halloween and Wintersday.

Hey, ty for the reply and being constructive. To answer your question, my ideal solution would be to make the pets available in-game via rare spawn, some event-mechanic, etc. Unfortunately these have already been labeled a HoM-only reward and (very clearly by this thread) it would upset the people who earned them in GW1 to go back and make them available in-game.

My second solution would be to remove them from the UI. I have already stated the reasons for this.

I understand what you are saying that even if it was taken out of the UI, it would still be something unobtainable without playing GW1 and that guides created on the internet would still include comprehensive “collections.” I find it hard to believe anyone could have a problem with this somehow, but then again, I guess people are surprised that I’m having the issue I am having in this thread.

I’m fine with there being extra rewards I can’t get, but I wish I could hide the empty slots in my pet window.

You can get those hidden when Mini Rytlock and the Mistfire Wolf disappear from my bank collection and skill tabs.

Since we’re on the topic of things I won’t get, I want a pony, or a bow that shoots ponies.

Tobias, I agree with this as well. I find it obnoxious that to get the whole collection I have to cough up the dough or I’ll be reminded of it every time I open up the collectors panel. To me it is less of an issue because they are at least GW2 items even though they are not found in-game, and as mentioned earlier, aren’t part of the core of profession abilities.

Extreme example, but how would you feel if your “5” skill was grayed out for one of your weapon sets and when you hovered over it had a link to the gem store? It kind of feels like that to me.

I know you’re basically trolling, but you’ve at least shown that you understand the core issue even though you’re more willing to accept it.

…the HoM rewards are mediocre at best when you think about how many thousands of hours some loyal GW1 players put into that game. But that’s what we got and people who didn’t play the original didn’t get it. And that is the way it is.

If you really feel so strongly about this, pick up a copy of GW1 and earn your HoM skins, like the rest of us did.

I’m not questioning your dedication or claiming that anyone with these rewards didn’t “earn them.” But I guess I’m just wondering how far the fan service will go. I’m not exaggerating when I say that except for WvW and sPvP ahievements (kill 10000000 dudes etc. etc.) I actually have more GW1-related achievements left to complete than GW2 ones. I can easily-enough ignore the GW1 specific achievement tab and I think the title/weapon skin is a good idea as a nod to your dedication. I think the ranger pets thing takes it to an entirely new level though.

Cosmetic only rewards. There is no problem here.

Thanks for the carefully thought-out response. Just curious if there’s enough nods to the GW1 vets or if I should just start playing that game because it’s more efficient at unlocking things in GW2 than playing GW2 is.

Really? I was looking through all my pets after having all the zones explored to see which ones I’m missing so I could go back and find them. Then I discover that I need HoM points for the 4 that I’m missing?

I understand that they have the same abilities that other pets already have and are just skins, but still really? I was ok with the entire tab of achievs devoted to HoM points, completely understand the “god amongst mere mortals” title, and I’m ok with the fiery greatsword skin being exclusive to HoM as well. But when I see 4 “grayed out pets” in my action bar that I need to devote several hours into another game to unlock, that’s when it starts to get frustrating for me. Why can’t I unlock rewards in the game that I’m actually playing? I mean, that makes sense right? Just frustrated, I’m a completionist and I was hoping the pets I was missing were rare spawns/hidden in JPs or something interesting but it’s disappointing to find out that if I want them I’m playing the wrong game.

As a side note, it does kind of bug me to see the mist fire elite skill grayed out on all my chars too, but that I can understand because at least even if you do have to pay for it, it’s unlocked within this game.

Edit:

Two main issues that separate the pets from the other HoM rewards.

1). It is skill/action bar related. Even though they share the same skills as other pets, they have a unique spot in the combat interface. It is a profession specific mechanic, not simply a “skin.”

2) The grayed out portraits feel tacky and coercive. I have to look at them every time I change pets. If you must include them as HoM only, don’t toss it in everyone’s UI.

Hope that clears things up and puts less people on the defensive.

Guesting and Overflow [merged]

Transistor.8746

I really do think the overflows have way more to do with the servers’ native populations. Guesting isn’t the problem in my opinion. I just think it’s frustrating that people are going “Oh well, ya know, it’s not fair cuz like…someone might want to guest to another server to like, try it, or kill bandits in Queensdale with some friends. What will they do if they can’t guest? WHAT WILL THEY DO?!”

It just seems insanely disingenuous. I have yet to see a single post in all of these threads saying “I regularly guest on 1-2 additional servers to play with other guilds/friends as intended.” Unless you’re new to the game in the past few weeks, everyone has had MONTHS of free transfers to play around and figure out which server they wanted to end up on. I find it extremely hard to believe that just since the implementation of PHAT CHEST LOOTZ people are suddenly starting to question their choice of guild/server and are guesting around to sample other communities with a move in mind. Especially since it would always be free to them anyway.

I think most of the people whining about guesters know that they’re probably not the primary issue. But after seeing countless people say “this feature is important, it’s not being misused, they have just as much a right as you, etc. etc.” it starts to wear on you. We all know why they are there. They know why they are there whether they admit it or not. It’s really ridiculous to see “natives” being called selfish given this context.

I had so much fun and I think I’m gonna shell out some cash and commit to a full-transfer”

Guests get kicked to overflow, when people from the home server log on.—Make it so Anet.

Just show up to the event early, you have dragon timers. Use them. For all you know it isn’t guests, there’s enough people on many many servers to cause an overflow in a region without guests there. Dragon chests are worth it, so tons of people are going to show up. They aren’t getting rid of guesting, they aren’t going to punish guesters, so you might as well just show up early for your own good.

Yeah, and then when everyone starts doing that we’re back to the original problem.

No chests for guests. Go back to your home server.

What problem? People showing up early? If you care about the event you’ll show up early, if you don’t you won’t. Punishing a guest for making preparations for the event is silly and selfish. Simple as that.

Please reread my post and try again. Second, server natives are already being stuck in overflows, unable to participate in events thanks to guesters. So take your pick: Punish guesters or punish people who’ve been on the server since launch.

Well server natives are probably not being stuck in overflows thanks to guesters. How do you base such a claim? Do you ask every single player at the event if they are guesters? Are you a wizard?

Let’s be a little bit realistic here, Vince. Dragon chest loot is now valuable, and most servers have more than enough native population to force an overflow for a region. That’s probably what’s happening.

If I had to pick on who to punish, I would punish the players who are careless and don’t prepare for the event.

The logic is simple, if you want to do the event, you will prepare and show up early. If you don’t show up early, you don’t care enough about the event. If there’s a 1 hour queue for an event then that’s something ANet should have to deal with in regards to server capacity because that’s ridiculous, but punishing a player for making preparations is a terrible gesture no matter who you are.

Actually the logic of “showing up early” isn’t that simple. What if someone only has an hour to log in that day? They have to sit camping a dragon for 50 min, kill it, and log off? This is the casual man’s MMO. People shouldn’t have to sit around for hours of the CHANCE at a world boss. If I wanted to wait in line, I’d go the the DMV.

Yup. These “this is your last chance A-Net” posts are getting quite old. Expectations are set way too high. SC2 and LoL are dedicated E-sports titles and even they have swarms of critics saying balance does not come fast enough. This is an MMO with large WvW and PvE followings as well that also require additional content/tweeking. This is a simple case of “wait your turn.” There’s no sub, check back in a bit if you’re not happy and you will have lost nothing.

I don’t see how the logic behind the gear is difficult, a rare should be rare, but a rare isn’t rare. If it is something you expect to see everytime you hit F on a chest, I’d say it is quite common.

Is it really necessary to get into semantics? Call a yellow a “gleep” and an orange a “glorp.” Perhaps that will help? Just because more people are running around in gleeps doesn’t make your glorps any less significant to you does it? There are plenty of ways differentiate your gear from others (skins/dyes), but from the very incarnation of the gear progression system it was always the intent to be reasonable to get max-ish gear.

In a game where you can buy legendarys with real cash, does it really matter that a bunch of people you’ll never see/know got an extra shiney?

I think that this patch was a huge step in the right direction. I know it might “hurt” to hear, but this game also has extremely large WvW and PvE followings (being an MMO and all) that are also clamoring for attention to their respective modes. I could understand the frustration much more if this were a dedicated PvP game such as LoL or DotA and all they were doing was making more skins in their online market or something instead of making the gameplay better. They put in paid tourneys and they didn’t end up working, so they took them out. That does not constitute a “zero sum” effort on A-net’s part.

Also, I can definitely understand the frustration concerning profession balance and the desire for competitive play where the best face off against the best. But the people demanding the ladder immediately tend to rub me the wrong way.

For starters: the monument stone (or whatever it’s called) is already programmed into the game. You can walk right up to it and read the placeholders. They are obviously going to incorporate its use at some point. Secondly, wouldn’t you rather have them establish a meaningful matchmaking system (what they’re doing now) before the ladder is instituted? You know, so that it actually holds meaning? If they made a ladder this second the people that would be at the top would be those that grinded paids non-stop for months. Does that really hold any value to you? And lastly, can’t you play a game for fun and the competitive spirit instead of chest thumping that you’re at a certain spot on the ladder? Can’t you be on a team with 4 friends/guildies and do well against those of equal skill without having some random pug recognize your tag and grovel at your feet?

I know an e-sport “needs” a ladder (how else would you know who to worship?) but let them flesh out the mode first.

In before: PvE Hero, LOL Rank 16, ANET should have already done all this perfectly and more, someone who doesn’t care about e-sports commenting on e-sports (watch competitive SC2 regularly)

That said, I just spent over an hour in queue for a free tourney (5PM EST on a Friday? Wut?) and it’s a 4v5 and we get handled. This is obviously ridiculous and I’m just hoping that “The Patch™” fixes it.

The solution isn’t to punish, because the most obvious thing people come up with is a ban from queuing/pvp for a certain amount of time, but how is that supposed to help wait times again? And why should the team of 4 be obliged to feed glory to the team of 5?

The solution should be incentives. Bonus glory for the disadvantaged team, increased point acquisition rates for nodes held by the disadvantaged team, etc.

make another race character and fight an asuran and come back and tell us how you were able to dodge and avoid the skills coming out the asura and how easily the asuran player read your animations while you could barley see them and had to move your screen to your feet just to find them in front of your characters feet. It’s simple.

My asura warr is the least played (least wins/matches played) of my three 80’s in PvP. My 1st (barely) is a human engi and close 2nd is a norn guardian. The asuran character is a distant 3rd.

I have no agenda. I don’t care about minute perceived advantages, why else would I main an engi? What I do care about is playing the same character I came in with.

To be perfectly honest, I have not noticed an issue with telegraphing asura abilities compared to the other races. I’m not denying that it’s harder for you, you’ve made that clear.

Also someone brought up e-sports in an earlier response.

SC2 and LoL are vetted e-sports, but there are constant cries about imbalanced things in those games as well. No game will ever be made perfectly balanced.

Talking about SC2 specifically: should zerglings be made the size of ultralisks cuz they’re too hard to click in comparison? So funny, people say this race is OP, that race needs a buff, but the second a mirror match happens everyone is like “zzzzzzz.”

I made my asura warrior the smallest size it could be because I liked the way it looked and was integral to my character’s identity. I even have the word “micro” as part of my char name.

Following character creation, I leveled her 1-80 and proceeded to get 100% world completion. It was only after this and getting a good feel for all the different possible weapon sets/utility skills that I felt prepared to enter the competitive environment of sPvP. And now you want to change my char’s identity so that you can feel better about not missing a backstab?

Sorry, no.

Let’s wait for this to become a real e-sport first before we start making excuses for our performance shall we?

Do you think stupid kitten like that is more important than game’s quality?

Just because you decided to call yourself ‘micro’ the rest of the players should not be able to recognize your animation, not able to react to what you do, and not be able to properly hit you from the back even though they lose 75% of dmg because of that????
Just wow….you can follow that ‘identity’ in pve and wvw, but in spvp there is really no place for that stupid stuff.
If ANET does not pay attention to these things, they will keep adding up to the frustration until spvp is dead. Wait…it already is dead….

I know it’s common for some people to make a lvl 2, join sPvP and do nothing else with the character. But for a lot of players, it is also our quester, crafter, dungeon runner, wPvPer, and RPer. Why should people have to have their character altered into something they didn’t create because of this perceived imbalance?

All of the chars I take into sPvP are level 80 and I designed their features/armor with their race/class/size/gender in mind. I don’t want to lose my sense of identity because you don’t feel it’s “fair”. This is an mmoRPg first and foremost, letters capitalized for emphasis. I want sPvP to succeed as well, but what you’re asking for is selfish.

And I don’t want to be that guy that pulls out random numbers with no proof, but I am very convinced that the number of people who want to maintain their characters as they were created far outnumber those who perceive there is an imbalance and want us all to be red/blue mannequins.

Scroll up for an explanation.

Playing against asura models is much harder in my view

Name some of your favorite scenarios/moments from PvP.

Mine is on my guardian during the first moments of the match on Kyhlo or Forest map when everyone is rushing for 1st cap. I’ll go to the center point and they’ll be 2-3 enemies there and I can tell one is alt-tabbed or not paying attention because they’re not moving/casting.

That’s when I run up to them and hammer-4 skill them down a flight of stairs.

How about you guys?

PvP locker concerns.

1 – When you store a single-hand weapon (pistol, sword, axe, etc.) and you have a class that can dual wield them, do you have to get two copies of the same skin? And if so, shouldn’t there be two “slots” in the locker for every one-hander? Was checking it out on my engi and it seems like if i want to go pistol/pistol i have to get two skins, but i can only ever store one? Makes no sense.

2 – How come armor and weapon sets don’t behave like jewels/ruins in the sense that you can take them out infinitely once you’ve earned them? I can definitely see a time down the road where I accidently delete a skin instead of re-depositing it.

And I also play warr and guard. So what happens now is i’ll get a heavy armor skin set, equip it on my guard, and then open some boxes and without paying attention I’ll “deposit collectable” of something I already have equipped. So when I go to switch skins again I have two copies and have to delete the other. And if I want to use the same skin on my warr, I have to unequip it on my guard first instead of just making a “copy” so it takes an extra step and there’s more risk for deletion/extra copies through opening boxes with the skins in them while they’re equipped. It’s super cumbersome and definitely needs streamlining IMO.

Not sure if it’s just my server (TC) but it is currently impossible to complete this puzzle. You can’t damage any of the lights and the input console will not show up because of this. Is anyone else having this issue? Would love to get the achieve for this or does there need to be a server reset?

Why does opening chests have a "cast time"?

You don’t even need to wait for the cast. You can hit F twice very quickly and you’ll get the loot instantly.

This is exactly what I’m trying to say, but nobody seems to understand what I’m saying. The cast bar serves a “purpose” in the RP sense and (if it were to actually give out loot at the end of the cast) a “present-opening feeling.”

But in it’s present stage, it does not accomplish this. You get the loot instantly and can cancel during the animation.

Although this isn’t the same thing, I was noticing this while playing just now concerning nodes too. Your char does 3 “hits” to a mining node in succession. If there are extra “hits” in the node after 3 (4 or 5 hits for some random nodes) your char will perform another 3 animations regardless of if only one or two more “hits” are actually inside of the node. You will always perform a multiple of 3 hits no matter how much is actually inside the mining node. Another oddity to be sure.

For example, if the node has 4 “hits” in it, your char will do a full six hits unless you manually stop them.

So you cant press F in run-by and ignore mobs that are guarding place?

Except you can. You get the loot right upon hitting the “F” key. And then his “esc” and run away. It’s super easy to zerg a chest guarded by a vet/champ. F then esc and run out till you shake off the train.

…when you can just hit “escape” right after you loot the stuff at the very beginning of the bar showing up.

Same goes for a lot of quest objectives where you have to fix/gather something. You can get the credit as soon as you kneel down and just hit “esc” instead of waiting the extra five seconds. It just seems odd to me.

Makes sense to either get the loot/credit at the end of the cast bar (i.e. skill points) or get rid of the cast bar all together.

For the second week, TC, CD & FA fight it out!

- Will TC win again?
- Will the ranking-impact be as small as last week?
- Will the new outbreak event make a difference?
- Will this be a nice thread, like the other weeks?
- Will the Dolyak gods punish FA for the Dolyak murders last week ?

Find out here!!!

OP topic questions revisited:

-oh my, yes
-yes
- bursts out laughing
-the other weeks were pretty much not “nice threads” but this one has been so far
-no, the people (lack of people?) that refuse to defend their borderland accomplished that

You’re so obsessed with GODS I guess you didn’t have Better Luck Next Time.

Btw, a TC player in this thread already confirmed the person running around with the GODS tag wasn’t from our guild.

Actually I saw someone with your tag in FA borderland when you guys were trying to take back DB from us at the north wall. They were on top of the wall running around while we were defending. Double checked and I definitely saw “rise of the omnipotent.” Maybe the alt of a server transfer that forgot to change representation?

I think the most important thing to remember is that it’s just a game and all in good fun. We have a long history with FA, and even though we’re not going to be matched up after this week (TC to T2 and FA to T4) you guys have been really fun to practice against. It’s not a big deal who wins or loses, I think everyone just wants to have fun, challenging match ups. Let’s try to get through this last week without any drama, we all play this game for the same reason: to have fun.

CD you have been really awesome too, keep an eye out for Yaks, those guys are tenacious.

There’s a certain other game that currently requires the player to do a few dozen repetitive daily quests for weeks in order to get gear/item enhancements required to progress.

This is a mandatory grind.

This same game also has a subscription fee, but will additionally charge $25 for race/faction/server transfers per character, and $25/$10 for mounts/pets respectively that have better art/animations than the ones attainable in-game with no in-game method to obtain them.

This is a cash grab.

Some of the people on this board would do well to browse around some other forums/community sites and gain some perspective.

Any MMO is going to have some aspect of grind. That’s inherent to the genre. Getting to 80 and getting maximum gear (as it relates to item stats) is very reasonable in this game. Everything in this game that takes large amounts of time or is gem-store only is basically skins/dyes (yes a legendary is a skin). Boosters and mobile bank/AH/repair are pretty useless for the most part and available through story mode/world completion anyway. And let’s not forget that ANYTHING in this game is available without spending a dime of your real life $. Yes you will have to “grind” for it to convert to gems, but if you feel like WvW, dungeons, questing, and professions are a “grind” then why are you even playing the game?

If the process of getting a legendary (the journey) isn’t fun for you, then what are you going to do when you finally get it?

Something else interesting.

I put in 1g to see how many gems I can get and it comes back with 71gems.

If I then put 71gems to trade for gold, it says I will get 70s99c.

Is there an exchange fee? This makes no sense.

Or it can be attributed to people that feel the latest patch is a departure from the game we were told we would be buying before launch, and are therefore refusing to play or play until we are given clear, factual answers as to the direction the game is headed in.

Please don’t get my thread locked. All I’m asking is if there’s potential that this is A-net controlled and whether I should convert now before it gets worse, or hold out and hope it gets better.

@ nacho, that doesn’t make sense, if people stop buying gems, the price would go down because the demand would be less.

If you want gems you should by them for real money since it’s the only income GW2 generates for Arena Net.

I find more satisfaction in upgrading my characters/bank/bag spaces by earning them in game. I would pay for costumes/mini pets if I wanted them and I will definitely get expansions, but I would prefer not to spend money on things that I am used to be able to earn using in-game currency in other MMOs.

Now the exchange is 1g31s/100gems. This is crazy. I’m trying to rationalize how the black friday promotion could be responsible but it makes no sense. Why would things costing LESS gems cause a player-induced demand for MORE gems?

Two possible reasons I present to you.

ArenaNet is out to get you and wants all your money spent on Gems. Yes, even that $500 you taped to the bottom of your sock drawer. They know about it and are artificially driving up the price so you spend real money instead of gold.

Or

Everyone’s buying Gems for Gold because they refuse to spend real money on it, but they still want the goodies out of the Gem Shop. So they need Gems, and buy it with Gold . . . driving the price up for now.

Both good points.

I bought a couple bank expansions in the first two weeks of release using gems I got from trading in gold I earned in-game. I’ve been waiting to finish off my bank expansions for weeks and I’ve been keeping an eye on the exchange rate.

It just keeps going up and up. I figured for halloween and lost shores they would be inflated because of the desire for the one-time purchases involved with the holidays, but they just keep going up, and at an alarming rate. Last week on my server (FA) it was 91s for 100gems, the highest I’d ever seen (it was during Lost Shores so I thought it made sense).

Now the exchange is 1g31s/100gems. This is crazy. I’m trying to rationalize how the black friday promotion could be responsible but it makes no sense. Why would things costing LESS gems cause a player-induced demand for MORE gems?

I was under the impression that the exchange rate was controlled by player demand for gold/gems at any given time, but I’m starting to wonder now if it’s A-net controlled. I understand that as the game grows older, inflation will drive gold prices up, but I didn’t think the market would mimic this type of behavior.

Should I just suck it up and convert any gem-only purchasable items now before it’s 20g/100gems? Or shoulkittenep doing what I’m doing and wait for a better week? Are the exchange rates different on other servers? (I assumed the BLTC was across all NA servers)
