Similar problems here, often having trouble loading into a zone and when i do i get frequent spiky lag and eventually a dc.
Out of curiosity is anybody else here with BT? Had similar trouble last month with them messing with gw2 traffic making the game unplayable for all their customers.
Condition spam is dominant in pvp at the moment, nerfing direct damage will indirectly buff it making things even worse.
Bumping, figured out what was causing the issue so edited the first post with new info and deleted old posts.
Editing the first post for visibility; originally I thought this was a bug specific to the fiery greatsword but after ExTribble’s post about being unable to reproduce it i started testing some more to try to figure out what was happening. As it turns out the issue is with the combination of sigil of fire (and presumably any other sigil with the same functionality) in combination with conjured weapons.
The game appears to be treating the sigil proc as if that was one of the skills from your conjured weapon and consuming a weapon charge whenever that happens. After some testing this seems to be the case for all conjured weapons – shield, axe, bow, hammer, and greatsword.
You can see an example here each time sigil of fire is triggered i lose a weapon charge immediately and another when the attack which triggered it ends.

In this context world pvp = running around ganking random people in pve zones
A raise to the level cap would only serve as a big gear wipe, which will cause a hell of a lot of players to quit, I’m all for them adding new expansion type content but keep the level and gear cap where it’s at.
If you want to run around on a thief ganking unsuspecting low level players then go do it in wvw.
Much the same problems here as what ginganinja described, ever since the EotM patch i started to have trouble with any populated zone from about 5-6pm gmt onwards. If i am already in the zone it will be extremely laggy, big delays on using any skills or interacting with npcs and often some rubber banding. If i am in another zone and try to enter a populated zone (Lion’s Arch, Rata Sum etc) I will get stuck on a seemingly endless loading screen.
ELE: I’d like to see something crazy like a longbow ele just to see what sort of abilities they’d come up with.
Having the same problem here, after a few minutes of loading still nothing then lost connection to the server.
Definitely not a fan of this, keep any infinite tools as pure convenience/cosmetic items, no bonus loot.
Yeah kraitkin seems to be a mess at the moment, I’ve never seen it glow green at night, like the wiki says, though the night time glow will sometimes show up during the day on top of the day time effects. Also the water flowing along the shaft often doesn’t seem to work during the day like it should.
The collection window will stop showing any new items beyond a certain amount, they’re still there but won’t appear till you collect whatever’s in front of them. It seems like the tp treats the gold from your sold items/canceled bids as any other item rather than adding it onto whatever gold might be waiting already, hence the problem you had.
Little note for the ele section at the top, take glyph of storms and be sure to cast it from either water or air attunements, works the same as ice bow #4 or meteor shower if you do for a really nice amount of bonus damage, But if you use it from fire or earth the damage won’t be anywhere near as good.
My usual approach is to drop conjures and start in air, open with glyph of storms then ice bow 4 and 3 then drop it switch to fire and unload with meteor shower etc.
The flute’s been like that for a while now, my guess would be that it doesn’t count the initial note that always has to be channeled since i always have to play a second time.

Well at least for the storm wizard his health resetting is a non issue if you have the chain sticks, they deal enough damage to take about 3/4 of his hp off by the time he flies away and once he’s flown off you can still damage him for a while. Just continue to swing into thin air without moving and you’ll still see that you’re hitting something on each swing but no damage displayed and a few swings later you’ll have taken the last of his hp and he dies.
Since there’s nothing attacking you while he’s stunned you effectively win the moment he lands and is vulnerable
Same problem here, TP worked fine earlier and now it’s asking me to upgrade to a full account to be able to sell and i’m definitely not on a trial account.

Personally I always use double tap dodging, reminds me of messing around in UT2k4, never really had any problems with accidental dodges.
It’s been like that at least from December, probably from the launch of the game and incinerator isn’t the only one, friend recently completed his twilight and the the aura from it seems to be the same, not showing frequently.
Using certain abilities can trigger it, ele mist form or ride the lightning for example or just drawing your weapon. It does seem to happen much more often in certain areas though, for example the effect will never show at all when i’m doing the skipping stones jumping puzzle in southsun.
A good place to really try out the forst bow is in CoF path 2, you can deal absurd damage at the devourers early on and at the door to guard magg.
And at the final “fight” in path 2 an ele can enable to group to effectively oneshot the crystal, start off with glyph of storms cast from either water or air attunement aimed onto the side of the crystal (fire works the same as earth so you get far less damage that way vs a single target) swap to fire and cast meteor shower from your staff next since you want to give it time to run its full course then drop an ice bow beside a team mate, if you and they both use #4 and #3 as a followup the crystal is done for, if they don’t grab it it’ll be at 10% or less when it goes invuln.
The results you get are completely random, magic find has no influence on the forge, nor does anything else.
The animation definitely needs to be shortened a bit to bring it down to the same time as the regular sickle, takes too long at the moment.
on a related matter – can anyone confirm if traits affect you in here? Some people seem to be able to dodge significantly more than me – are endurance related traits active/worth using?
There’s an item you can pick up from smashing crates that refills your health and endurance.
Could also be due to the drop in ecto prices, since people would often buy mithril to craft rares, with ectos, and by extension rares being worth less now the prices for the components to make said rares will also drop a bit.
Not quite as impressive as your score but still pretty kitten good i think.
Protip: most people don’t seem to have realised yet that you can hold the sprint button down to sprint further, can cross nearly the whole arena with it if you want.
Any EU servers got the temple up currently?
The main problem people seem to have is getting killed by the moving lasers because you naturally try to be in the middle of the gap between the moving lasers but the graphics for them don’t seem to match up with where the game thinks they are so you die, if you stand a tiny bit left of that the lasers will safely pass over you.
Server: desolation
In frostgorge sound there’s usually a group of 3 or 4 teleporting bots farming the icebrood just above watchful waypoint on the map.
In malchor’s leap the area just west of king’s passage with the exploding risen mobs is extremely popular, seen groups of bots there a lot and when they all vanish, presumably banned a new group shows up again soon after.
Cursed shore has a trio of bots in the area just north of caer shadowfain and the harrowed sea seems to be absolutely swarming with farmbots recently.
Same thing here, and been like this for as long as i can remember.
Issue with weapon; incinerator.
Using ride the lightning on my elementalist will sometimes disable the effect from incinerator surrounding your arm in flames. Sometimes simply sheathing and drawing the weapon again will restart the effect, other times the effect will not show again unless you unequip and re-equip the weapon.
Hopefully this will see a fix soon, best we can do till then is to keep drawing attention to the issue.
Malchor’s and cursed shore both changed like this on desolation.
It’s a permanent version of the ele conjure flame axe which has no special effects either, at least in your hand. Would be nice if they maybe added a flame trail on swinging the weapon like the one the ele version leaves when you throw it.
Got 43 clovers over the course of about 130 shards, saved up karma for ages and bought 186 shards yesterday and used them all, by the time i was done i had 64 more clovers, all done with the 1x recipe.
Total about 310 shards used and 107 clovers returned, at least i have some spares if i decide to go for another legendary in the future.

I’m working my way towards a legendary and recently bought my precursor, in my case it was spark which had for a while been up there with dusk and co. at 400g. When the news of the droprate boost in the mystic forge hit a couple more got dumped onto the TP and after some noticeable undercutting it had dropped to 250g, at the time i had worked my way up to 170g from a lot of gathering runs and plinx farming. I borrowed the remaining gold i needed from a very kind friend and grabbed it and now a week later it’s sitting at 138g on the tp.
Having all that extra gold would obviously be a massive help in my efforts to finish my legendary but I’m not too worried about it, i have the most difficult part of my legendary and it’s not like i had any way of knowing the price would crash so I’ll just carry on, getting angry over it now isn’t gonna change a thing.
Also unable to log in currently, same message about checking firewall etc.
Snapped this pic during the cutscene, i think the random seed turret completely unharmed by the lava that’s roasting the boss is a nice touch.
Who honestly didn’t see this coming a mile away? This event is a complete waste of time.
Edit: after 2 full minutes of waiting my ability finally activated to hit nothing, wonderful.

Had some awesome early morning moments today once we got organized enough to hold out around crag and defend it from the frenchies and their zergs. Just a shame all the night capping bs ruins any competition there might otherwise be but hopefully that’ll calm down as the rankings continue to balance out and the night capping servers end up against each other.
