uhm i notice the purple beam wasn’t there after the 1st cc in the video. Am i missing something?

I have no problem outside of raid Playing open world content, wvw, pvp, dungeons are just fine. It only happens if I come in the raid instance, stand still for a few mins and i got booted out to character select. This is so bizarre!

I have this issue for awhile, even after i reformat my pc and reinstall the game. If I stand still in raid for a few mins, my game just boot me to the logging screen. Does anyone know what causes it? Thanks!

If you plan to do raid casually, I suggest you to have 2 classes ready for raid. You don’t need full ascended armor (unless you join in group that requires full ascended) but ascended weapon and trinkets are a must and easy to obtain now in game.

Your 1st class can be p/s (phalanx strength) warrior (or revevant because they share the same gear so you can move gear between chars.) Both classes are easy to play, check metabattle.com for information on gear, rune, skills and rotations.

Your 2nd class can be tempest (most group recruit at least 1 tempest for their run.) Tempest can be very squishy at first when you are new to the class. So just pay attention to your position during the encounter and avoid unnecessary damage and you should be fine. Also check the metabattle.com for information on gear, rune, skills and rotation on tempest.

now i was kicked from ts why kick me from raid why not just kick me from ts well completing raid and if glenna die kick then. answer commander dosnt want someone not following commands because he thinks he knows all. i was standing in such a way boss wouldn’t hit her. as i had done multiple times when escorting her as a druid.

I wanna share my experiences as a commander to you. Before I tag up to do something (world boss, map meta, wvw, raid bosses, ect) I had played that content a lot and done it many times. It does not mean that a commander know it all, there are multiple ways to complete an encounter. However, I always want to choose the fastest and easiest ways to do it with the pugs.

When someone decides to do their own thing in the raid and refuse to follow instructions, depends on situations, I usually do not kick them from the raid if i think it does not wipe the raid. If the person becomes raging, negative, toxic to the group on voice chat, I would kick them from raid and voice chat because they spoil our fun as a group. It is a game, if someone is not having fun or feeling angry when they play the game, they need to keep it to themselves imo. The rest of the group does not have to suffer from that person at all.

I was in his raid, so let me explain the whole story why he got kicked.

On the last part when the boss spawn, the commander told everyone to stack on the boss and kill the warg as it spawns. When OP refused to do so and he stood next to Glenna, the commander asked him a few more times, OP started yelling on teamspeak because he thought what he did was right. The commander told him again (after he yelled at the commander on TS) it would be ok to move away from Glenna at that point, the debuff does not kill the npc but if he keep standing next the npc, the boss might teleport to him and kill the npc. He started raising his voice and keep yelling on TS. At that point, it was really stressful for everyone in the raid, so the commander decided to kick him from the raid.

This has happened not one or two time, but many time now. I queued up as solo player, but for some reason the matchmaking put me up against full team players with communication. It’s unfair, and I think anet should look into it. Thanks!

I just want to share my opinions about people who think they are skilled and experienced while wearing Nomad’s gear. With Nomad’s, the reason you can survive better because it is designed for people with slow reaction; it’s more forgiving for them when they make a mistake during an encounter (i.e. Cannot dodge out of aoe in time, do not know the mechanics, do not have awareness about what is going, ect.)

A skilled and experienced player is a player who can survive with any gear, even in rare gear. They know about the encounters well and can predict moves before it happens to them. With that being said, the best build for them is a build that give max dps output because they have no issue with survivability.

So, if you are the host for your pug raid, do you want to select people with Nomad’s gear? Or do you want to take skilled and experienced players? I hope you can find the answer.

To my understanding, the only reason you want it as an outfit because you want to show off on multiple chars without using the transmutation charges. If that is true, then Anet won’t make it as an outfit because they would want players to buy the charges on gem store, or spend time to get them from reward tracks

I should get a title for throwing a lot of gold at the ecto skritt after I got the Tarrktun merchant lol “Gold Sin” would be a nice title for me, I cannot stop gambling whenever I have more than a thousand gold lol

Endgame in Guild wars 2 can be a lot of things depends on your interest. For some, it’s the world vs world where you do offense/defense for your home server against the enemy server. For other, it can be PvE game mode, such as map completion, dungeons, raid, World boss, map event meta, champ train ect.

If you want to do high end fractals or raid, I suggest to craft ascended armor and weapons which will take time but worth it to get rewards later on. Learn the boss fight mechanics before going to join the group will give a huge advantage and also be helpful to the team. Additionally, learn how to play your class correctly will give benefits to your group (buffs, condi clear, boon removal, ect.)

If you like to look pretty in Fashion Wars 2, you can craft legendary weapons which is costly but doable if you set a long term goal for it. Best ways to obtain in game gold are varies, you should do some researches before you decide to craft a legendary weapons.

For World vs World, as a beginner, you need to learn how to survive in big scale combat aka. Zerg vs Zerg (ZvZ.) when you become a veteran wvwer, you can join a hardcore team and do Guild vs Guild (GvG.) Or just be a roamer on map and slaughter any wanderer on your path lol

Last but not least, PvP is also fun endgame content if you are a competitive player. After a lot of practices to master your class, you can either do ranked team during PvP seasons to get to Legendary or hot join to fight random players.

There are a lot of things in GW2 that are fun to play. You can pick one game mode and be pro at it, or just enjoy all of them at once. It is your choice to make it endgame for you OP. Hope you find something you really enjoy playing in the game, cheers!

OP, you bought the game for over a years and probably had hundreds if not thousands of game time in GW2. That money was well spent imo, also you can still play the same game contents as it was before HoT release. So “Pay once, play as long as you want.” is still applied to the core GW2 account till today.

That being said, HoT is so much fun after the latest update. Why do you not purchase the expansion and give it a try since you still enjoy playing the core game (I would quit already if i don’t.) I’m sure you will have a lot of fun for a year or two from now. If you like to do fractals, there will be new fractals this year in HoT. Living story 3 is also coming out next big update.

If you don’t like to purchase HoT, it is your decision, nothing is wrong with that. If anet doesn’t want to add fractal mastery to core account, it is their decision, nothing is wrong with that as well. If random players don’t want to play with you, it is their right to kick you out from their group, it is not nice but also nothing is wrong with that

I’m not sure if this is a troll post or OP is too dumb to realize that it is a convenient item. Btw as someone mentioned, most people bought it with gold converting to gems, and thanks the genius who allow that to happen in GW2.

There was a recent topic similar to this, the guy got kicked from a pug AC explorablE path so he got upset and post a clip of him soloing the spider boss. It is not a good idea to join a pug fractal on a low level. Nobody knows how experience you are in this game or your build/gear with a low level character. Keep in mind, most of the pug LFG are experienced players who want to finish their fractal quickly for rewards. If they think you would slow them down, it is their right to remove from the group. There are many ways to level up in the game, you chose to get carried in fractal, it is all your fault OP.

As a GW2 veteran player, I am more than happy to hear that more people are working on the Living Story contents. I understand that new legendary weapons are nice to have, but it won’t make me want to log in game daily to play. If your team can deliver more fun contents in game, I am 100% going to support the game and whatever expansion coming up in future. It doesn’t need to be bi-weekly update like before, just monthly Living World update is enough to keep me playing GW2 for a long time. Thanks Anet for making such a wonderful game!

I am planning to make a new set of ascended, but i can’t decide what to make yet because of the upcoming balance patch. Between condi war, condi engi, thief and tempest, which of these will be great after the balance patch?

Any update? Since I am just sat here refreshing the forum every two minutes, waiting for a fix, instead of enjoying the game like everyone else has for the past 10 or so hours… :/

We have devs working on it and we have QA attacking it too. Testers are pretty down the workaround they thought of didn’t work.

We would like to know if switching your active story to a different one and back clears up anything.

I know you guys are really bummed, and trust me I would be out for blood too. Development is doing everything they can to resolve this as fast as possible and we’re trying to get them additional information to solve this as quickly as possible.

I tried to switch to LS2 story then back to Prologue: Rally to Maguuma, but it still does not work.

I did the mission with a group. The people in my group had it completed, but my mission was not updated. When I got to Verdant Brink, my mission is still shown as not completed. Therefore, I can’t unlock the mastery and progress to next part of the mission. I’m stuck with the 1st mission on my guard now.

Also, because i’m stuck at Prologue: Rally to Maguuma mission. I can’t progress to unlock my mastery track in Maguuma.

Other official retailers have already had the expansion on sale. Yesterday for example, one of the UK retailers had it down to $35 US, but sold out within hours.

“A lot of player” can enjoy whatever they want, but that does not mean only they should have options.

I think you do not see the big picture here. Anet created dungeon, fractals to be the 1st form of group challenging content. It was there for players who like to beat difficult content in GW2. After 3 years, players had learned to beat it, that is why they need to create new difficult group challenge content with higher fractal levels and raid. They will always do that for players who enjoys this game mode, and they will always always add more rewards for open world content, to keep players happy.

I get that you do not like to interact with other player in game. What I do not get is why you think Anet should spend more time to develop another content for single player, like yourself, in their mmo game product. There was only dungeons, wvw and pvp in gw2 at launch. No fractal, living story, eotm, ect. Did you say GW2 was unfinished product? Nope, I don’t think so.

Anet does not abandon dungeons. It the players who only do dungeons for profit will abandon it. The rest who enjoys running dungeons will come back to it.

You guys haven’t seen the new rewards in HoT yet, so do not assume if it is right or wrong on their move. Return to this subject after a month or two… Wait, never mind, everyone is busy farming new rewards. I’m gonna shut up now.

Before Anet mis going to change somethings, I am sure they will review feedback from our community then discuss among their team. The devs probably need to make sure the changes do not break their game. During the past years, they had made many majors changes per players requests. In PvP, they added reward track; they revamped Obsidian sanctum for GvG; and dungeon’s reward were nerf for better cause (CoF p1.) They do listen to the community, whether or not they are going to make changes depends on every players in game imo.

That staff has a severe lack of rainbows. Hopefully they get on that and add more before it launches.

Odd that pistol and axe are the next two (i expected hammer or GS), but the pistol looks cool, if only mesmers had a real use for one it would go great with bolt.

Dungeon is gonna stay the same as they were 3 years ago (except the rewards), and it should be that way. I had stopped doing it daily for quite sometime now and I don’t want it in the new HoT content.
