The Secksy Monk [Guild Wars 1]
Stormbluff Isle – Storm Slayer Dragons [SDS]
I’ve had a lot of issues with the writing for this episode. The scroll, Brahm’s temper tantrum, the tooth cracking. I… have concerns.
No but seriously what was up with Brahm’s temper tantrum at the end there? Like, what? I question the writing for the episode. First Marjory has her little mood swing now this?
Too many different kinds of loot bags. :|
Story is garbage, but all this cutesy stuff is really killing the release. Why the kitten do you need to put all this cutesy BS in the patches?! Ember Bay was one big joke all around, between skritts and frikkin clowns and OMG that stupid Aurene. Bloodstone Fen was much, much better. Atm the top 3 of your 3 releases is 1. Bloodstone Fen, 2. Bloodstone Fen, 3. Bloodstone Fen.
And why is Braham hating you? You literally killed the thing that killed his mom, and he was there too. You can crap out “explanations” but that doesn’t mean they stick. So much potential, all to waste.
That’s a lot of venom :O
ANet, there is too much stuff clogging my inventory around. And now you added like 50 new things. TOO MUCH STUFF!
Do i understand correctly that you have to learn the mastery before being able to enter the new map? If yes: would have been nice to know beforehand so people could have farmed mastery points.
No, you need to finish the missions leading up to entering it.
We are investigating the reports of Aurene getting stuck on Ooze Generators.
Please fix it quickly. 3 attempts, bugs in the same place. :/
First mission is bugged. Dragon got stuck and would not proceed (ooze part). I’ve heard of this happening during the rescue the vigil section too.
We’ve been asking since launch, You can thank the cat people for us not getting capes.
No, you can blame 2H weapons and shields for us not getting them. lol
Because the guild hall is a map and you can not kick anyone from a map. It’s also not restricted to guild members.
Still, in Guild Wars 1 if you lost privileges to that hall it ejected you out to your last visited area. It’s a system that ought to be in place now.
This is already their overhauled trait system. It won’t be changing again, I guarantee it.
- > New content.
Done.
Any of the Jades. They’re such boring fights.
Pyro Jade is the best. As a soloist, allowing 1 person to carry the team is my favorite kind of design. It aggros on the top damage and by being in melee, that person can make it easier on everyone else. Because you have to be #1 however, it can also reveal a sad truth. If only all bosses had scoreboards at the end to encourage competition and were actually factored into contribution instead of 1 hit tagging.
I stand by what I said.
Any of the Jades. They’re such boring fights.
Soon. Pls soon. Is it soon? Pls.
kitten just give me the loot, not boxes.
My only complaint is that I want more instanced content. Two instanced missions just doesn’t tell as direct a story as I would have liked. And the achievements for this episode were way too grindy. I get about wanting to stretch your content, but only if it does it in a meaningful way. I’m not terribly interested in feeding a hobo fifty apples because reasons.
Overall though, a very faithful recreation of the original fire islands, even if the circus was wayyyyy out of place here.
Episode 3 hype!
I’m only salty because I finished 100% of everything… minutes before this went live.
sad
“Fixed an issue in which Story Journal achievement completion needed all achievements to complete. Lowered the amount required from 26 to 23.”
stares judgmentally
I enjoyed seeing a bit of civilization on the island. I didn’t find them particularly funny either.
“Other than that, we don’t know.”
“We don’t know.”
Better not have to go through Orr.
“Quivering with unstable magical energy, strangely warm to the touch. You should be careful carrying this around.” – Scholar Glenna, referring to Blood Rubies.
The first indication Reinard had that something was wrong was when he noticed a face staring at him from inside the mystic forge, twisted and distorted by the swirling magical energy, but distinguishable enough. Dull features. Smiling.
Spooky.
A quick glance around the area suggested that no one else seemed to notice what he did, which meant he was the only one seeing the spooky face in the swirling fountain. Which is when he noticed the herd of moa birds stampeding through the square and down into the trader’s forum, hovering over so slightly above the ground, their movements silent.
Frowning, Reinard took another look around the bank and out into the distance to see if anyone was reacting as they should – terror, perhaps – but found that everyone was going about their daily business.
“Um,” Reinard said smartly.
“What was that?” Casteless asked from where he was hunched over his item chest, sorting through trinkets he’d collected. There was the click of a latch releasing followed by a snap and a string of charr expletives.
Reinard went over the ways he could potentially respond in his head and decided he wasn’t satisfied with any of them. “Nothing, never mind,” he said instead, his brow creased in thought. Out of the corner of his eye he could see Casteless’ fur start to slowly shift into another shade, from brown to purple, but he decided to not look. The denial was beginning to set in.
There was a pop followed by a roar and the the lid of a chest being slammed shut.
“Sir,” said a very irritated asura from somewhere, “If you damage the chest you buy it.”
“Yeah, yeah,” Casteless grumbled. He caught sight of Reinard and crossed his arms. “What’s wrong with you? Look like you’ve seen a ghost.”
Which is precisely when Reinard’s dead mother floated through the bank, phasing through one wall and the other.
“Um,” Reinard said again, mouth agape.
The ring on his finger was getting starting to burn. He raised his arm so he could examine it further, and found that the bloodstone ruby set in the center of it had a faint glow. Which solved one mystery, at least.
“Give me one second,” he told Casteless. slipping the ring off his finger. The charr responded with an eye roll and headed towards the exit. Reinard walked over to the short tempered asura.
“Yes,” Reinard said pleasantly, his norn height towering above the asura. “I’d like to make a deposit.”
There is only the one and it takes like 2-3 hours. Other than that, we don’t know.
I don’t know when it is, but I’m impatient for it!
Picture with cards on it for scale
So I had a Guild Wars 2 playmat made.
Big shoutout to Jennifer L. for the deisgn, who you can find here: Deviant Art and Twitter
Featuring (Order left to right)
Reinard Charrkin, Castless Wind, Neolion Drakbreaker, and Razus Spiritwalker.
I’m super excited about it and can’t wait to start using it
I don’t think there are ENOUGH Farens.
I wouldn’t mind seeing things like fluxes added
“Most”? What’s your sample? ;O
The lore.
That’s pretty much it.
Solution to your problem Tyloric, remove Some buffs and Conditions the amount is too much lol
Not all of us are capable of playing at super high resolutions.
I already have trouble with player buffs stretching up behind my mini map. I’m not opposed to this, but it might just be one more thing to clutter the UI.
Grinned… yes.
I can’t say I’ve ever been in a situation where another player’s outfit has bothered me. I also work hard for my gear, and it is something I want to show off, so I to am going to say nay to this. What’s the point of achieving legendary status if you’re not allowed to show it off?
I was so excited I took a picture of the freaking game box and told all of Facebook.
Here’s to another four, ANet!
I just really think Guardians need a spec that focuses healing.
Guild Wars 2 is not a perfect game, but it is still one of my favorites. Here’s hoping there is a lot more longevity! Bring on LS3 Episode 2 already!!
Been playing since launch. Not a kitten thing. :B
Yes please. I hold down the space bar when jumping out of habit so I sometimes sabotage myself by hovering over the platform I’m trying to land on. ;_;
*in before git gud
Most likely bundled with the Halloween update. Which means probably no continuation to the Mad King sub plot… again. ;_;
But I’ve kind of always wished GW2 had controller support. I just prefer a controller vs KB/M
I’m quite aware, thank you. That just happened to be where I took the screenshot.
Killed all the ghosts, none respawned.
Maybe I’m just bad, but I feel like I’m getting overwhelmed in HoT if I don’t pay careful attention to my surroundings. I feel like the difficulty is exactly where it needs to be. Makes me excited for the raid.
This seems like such a superficial thing to complain about.
I have mixed feelings. The final two missions were interesting, but… I can’t put my finger on it, but it feels like something was missing. Maybe the lack of epilogue is just really getting to me.
I still can’t log in with my warrior, but I can log in with my guardian? I want to play my warrior, though. ;_;
I’m still confused on how the ogre events in Auric Basic work. _
Apples for life.
