The quest step after defeating the boss at the portal during Buried Insight is not trigger. Everyone just stands around doing nothing.

I adore the story, when I’m allowed to play it.

The story in the gem store is season 2. You can’t access season 1 at the moment as it was all persistent content. But yes, season 2 did lead into HoT.

It’s been changed to Feel My Wrath when the trait system changed. It was so that skills fit better under their “type” brackets and so that traits can be more easily associated with them.

I main guardian and I’m so grateful for this change. All of the other elites were pretty “meh” beforehand, only Renewed Focus was ok. With the short CD, Feel My Wrath is super useful, especially in group content.

I like the new elites, but I question why they weren’t just added in in addition to the old ones.

It was so satisfying to equip the tome of wrath and cover the field in a swathe of flames.

Because redundancy, why should be the elites added on top of skills that would do the same?
Tomes also had their problems, meanning a good way to fix several issues is to change to something that can be taked into a fight and have a good effect.

They weren’t doing the same thing though. I can’t bombard a battlefield with holy fire with “Feel my wrath”, I could with “Tome of Wrath”, it also gave some limited ranged capabilities to a class that’s somewhat lacking in that regard. I actually downed a fair number of people with it.

The two are about as different as mirror image and decoy are for mesmers.

well for tome of wrath yes, the change is a complete new skill, as for holy fire being holy, that is not what we had, just some diferent color for guardian fire, it would be nice if it was a diferent condi form fire, it could be tweaked independently from common fire.

Except that the only two damage types GW2 has is Power/Condi.

Honestly, I never ever saw anyone using the tomes. They were especially useless in my opinion and unreliable, their super high recharge times not even making them worth it. The elites that replaced them are actually worth using now.

The original LA was destroyed because when Zhaitan rose Orr up from the depths a massive tidal wave flooded most of coast of South Tyria.

It’s more of them preparing for the worst than it being anything else.

That was literally the last time anyone ever heard from them. Excluding that time you summon the avatar of Grenth in Orr to do things with the things.

tbh I’m more interested in blue-man asura there.

Guild Wars isn’t a particularly complicated game. Free accounts not having access to map chat is strict, but fair.

The easiest thing to do is just log on and play and make that decision for yourself.

Do you honestly think you, or anyone, is owed anything? You’ve been playing the game up to this point, haven’t you? Free accounts are heavily restricted, so even then, I don’t understand your argument. I’m thrilled about this change, and I say that as someone who bought the game full price on launch. I think an injection of fresh players is exactly what the community needs at the moment, and now my friends who don’t own the game can play it without any issue. This is a good thing!

That’s kind of a non-answer. What’s to stop players from just making several accounts, farming the laurels, and then using heavy crafting bags?

So my game crashed last night and since then I have been met with a huge amount of performance issues. Notably, the frame rate. Even on the lowest settings possible I’m barely getting about 20. My laptop is by no means a powerhouse, but to see no significant changes in performance when I adjust graphical settings is fishy.

I even uninstalled and reinstalled all of my Nvidia drivers just to see if that would help.

As reference, below are the graphical settings I’m usually running at. The FPS between this and all settings below it are identical. The new LA usually makes me drop some frames, but these numbers are consistent no matter where I am.

We were running Arah p2 last night and I had the same issues with Inquest Technicians. Their perma stun is impossible to work through even when I pop balanced stance, and god help anyway who has two of them focusing them.

That being said, while I actually can get frustrated with how things are now, it’s very rarely am I in a situation that I even notice. Only in very specific dungeon paths.

I hope it’s actually some interesting this time around.

Everything from chests and the gem store I believe is account bound. It’s too stop inflation in the market and to keep buying gems a necessity, whether with money or in game gold.

The equipment system has always been clumsy. I’ve always thought there should be a way to add the stats we want to use to cater to our own playstyle. But alas…

I use them on my warrior in PvE because I’m a remarkably lazy human being who hates changing out accessories when I’m switching builds.

With today release of Final Fantasy 7 on IOS I don’t see any reason GiuldWars1 couldn’t be ported over to the mobile platform. The first PC I played the game on had fare less power then today’s mobile devices. This would bring new life to that game and generate more income for Anet. They are charging $16 for FF7, I’d gladly pay that much if not more to be able to play GW1 on my phone or ipad.

final fantasy 7 is a game that was on the first generation of sony playstation. it had the graphics of a gameboy color. guild wars was released eight years later to my knowledge. with a much better engine and graphics capability. point being, playing final fantasy 7 on an iphone 6 would be like playing pokemon red on a game boy. current iphones have vastly more processing power than PS1’s, and can run a game like FF7 very smoothly. Maybe not so much guild wars, or it would, and my phone would blow up after a week.

Not to.mention the size of GW1. I think its around 5-6 gig. I know phones are getting big memory these days, but not everyone springs for the 32gig + option, by the time you add you music and apps, you would be out of space. Nit to mention the heat you phone would produce. If I play asphalt 8 on my windows phone for longer that 10 mins, I’m willing to bet I could cook an egg on it. That can’t be good for the phone.

Also, I’d rather they focus on GW2. I still play GW1 and love it. But it’s done. It will be where it in now. PC only, till the servers are switched off.

5-6 gigs if we’re only talking about Prophecies. I think the entire run of GW (including Beyond) was about 15-20.

I can’t see that sort of port every working comfortably. All the mobile Final Fantasys have locked cameras at a specific angle, making the switch to a touch screen platform realistic. Guild Wars has way more things to worry about and micromanage on screen. To port they would have to cut serious amounts of content and potentially even lock the camera is a specific position.

I want some more emotes as well. Especially for RP purposes :X

Torch was expected for one of the nine anyway. As it stands, I think only two professions can equip torches.

No, you have to buy the expansion bundle.

I would be on board with this only if it was cosmetic in WvW/PvE. It would make minions too hard to identify in a competitive atmosphere.

I would love to see some more classic armor sets some GW1 return. I adore the monk outfit and primevil armor. Some more classic throw backs would be cool imo.

As far as I know there is no reliable way to get them anymore. It’s just so those who still have held on to them have a way to use them.

I like to run around Silverwastes doing the events there. Vine Wrath is always a fun boss imo. I run dungeons and fractals with my guild, recently have really started to get into pvp. Trying to focus on crafting recently and get my first ascended armor set. Always doing the dailys on reset.

There are plenty of things to do if you look around.
