It needs commanders with working mics too.
The invisible weapon / character into forever-load happens to me a couple times a week. Changing maps / relogging fixes it, but obviously with huge na queues, that’s not usually an option.
Play glass rev. Frontline, backline, doesn’t matter. Insane damage with no cooldowns, 100% crit, pulsing boons, lots of mobility and get out jail free buttons. I wish I could play my ele or well necro, but they just don’t compare.
It was pretty slow right after the expansion, but last week was probably the best week in terms of fun and epic fights I’ve had in months. There are map queues and threeways in eb and the borderlands every single day, the action never stops. (NA prime) I didn’t like the new maps at first, but we’ve had some fantastic fights on them since then. I could do without the size and some of the pve mechanics, but it’s not that bad. Been raiding every day, hope it continues.

I’m not sure what it’s usually like on your server, but in tier 1 pretty much every waypointed keep gets double-teamed, especially if it’s a garrison.
Ele/necro zerg time, maybe some mesmers for flank bombs.
Love it! /fifteen
Even with the PS gating, i still believe that the NPE is faster when it comes to unlocking your weapon skills, if you had an necro pre-NPE, the effort to unlock all your skills and things like death shroud were pretty annoying and took quite a while. Still if they could unlock all profession mechanics within the first 5 levels, or not lock it at all, it would be a lot better than it is right now.
You’re joking right? Back in the day you’d unlock your first weapon just by doing the tutorial, then all it took was the purchase of a bunch of white weapons and a minute or two on each.
An spvp ele needs sustain to stay on points, cele is incredibly strong. (d/d / bunker traits)
In wvw, you should still be full zerk, cantrips are enough to survive anything. If you run lighting rod / water line you get the best of both worlds, with great damage/cc and team support.
And obviously in pve you’re fighting scripted mobs. Once you learn the fights you’re just trying to maximize dps.
450 fractals run, 90% of them 50 and 40. Only have the trident and rifle.
Precursors aren’t hard to get. If you want it that badly go grind SW and buy it, no RNG involved.
Get rid of the aoe cap. Make it so that small skilled and organized groups can take down a “zerg” without having to blob up themselves.
Get rid of aoe cap -> goodbye cpu.
get rid of aoe cap -> hello retaliation. Not gonna happen. Ever.
A small skilled group can already take out zergs with the current system. Why do you think guilds run with their melee all stacked up? Just for boon sharing and condi clears? No. They also do it so that all their melee hit the same 5 targets.
In games like Warhammer online, we only needed 5-10 to kill a hundred people because there was no aoe cap. To fight the t1 blobs we need 25-30 and sometimes a zerg to support if we’re fighting full queues. Melee trains stack because of the aoe cap, blobbing up disperses the damage. And yes, obviously, to kill the same targets.
His original question was what could be done to change the problem, so whether you think it will happen or not is irrelevant.

We usually get a pug or two for 50’s, and while we don’t kick people generally, I definitely groan when I see a ranger. 90% of the people that play your class come in without spotter or frost spirit, and most of them camp longbow. People are just used to playing with bad rangers.
Just let me use another utility.
Yeah, more people are in SW because of the vinewrath, if you get in a good chest farming map you can easily fill your inventory with rares. It’s not just ectos, tons of things are dropping in price because of the SW farm.
A level 20 scroll, a few tomes, a birthday booster and 15 hours in eotm, as a vet it’s pretty easy to hit max level without much effort or time invested.
The trait thing sucks, but as a vet you probably have some idea of what you’re going to use the character for. The few characters I’ve leveled since the NPE just use meta builds, so I don’t have to unlock every trait. Both the gold cost and the skill point cost of unlocking a few traits is negligible, given that most of what you do at 80 gives scrolls and gold.
Last night in the borderlands we had an invincible dev that could switch classes and sides at will. He switched to guardian for stability, then to mesmer so he could port a full tc map queue into an upgraded bay. Stood around in the lord room mocking us, switching from JQ to BG to TC while they worked on inner. Never seen anything quite like it, and clearly an abuse of power.
The first ss shows him being invincible, the last three his ability to switch sides at will.
Reporting people for being afk? You people are hilarious.
Running a dungeon as my mesmer zerk is a lot of fun, and it does a ton of damage. However, running a dungeon with my full tank guardian saves me a lot of armor-repair money
Repairs don’t cost anything, and they haven’t for awhile.
I love full zerk speed clears, doing multiple paths per hour in stale content I’ve done a thousand times sure beats excruciating long runs with people running tank stats, bad weapon choices or poor builds.
Please no, it’s so much nicer to have a hub where all the useful things are clumped together.
Awful change. 15char
I love the new daily. Since there’s no laurel, I don’t have to care at all about doing it.
Wiping people is pretty fun, you should try it.
Tried it, got boring real fast winning almost every match up. Most wvw fights last seconds with both sides steamrolling into each other, or are so evenly balanced no one on either side dies at all.
After the 10,000th time of wiping them, even you will be bored.
GvG in GW1 had much better variety, more build diversity, more planning, more skill, and had a point. You really felt like what you did mattered and affected the outcome, and had a result, which was moving up the guild ladder. Even HA was much better structured, watchable and you felt involved- holding for hours was awesome.
In contrast, in wvw you could literally go afk in the middle of the zerg and no one would even notice.
Stop running with the map blob, get together with an organized group of 15-25 and go wipe zergs. You’re complaining about it being boring, while you’re choosing the most boring way to approach it.
The good fights are what I remember, not whatever sparkly thing I sold on the tp that day. What happened to pvping to pvp, because killing people is fun?
That said, the mode is pretty bland after two years, and most people are waiting for the next best thing.

I guess we’re playing different games, I do dungeons pretty regularly at off-times, and groups never take more than 10 minutes to fill. Though I guess if you’re putting up your own group and its for new players, than yeah, I could see it taking forever.
Just grind gold or pray to RNGeesus.
I just buy the traits I need, the unlocking scavenger hunt is awful and tedious.
It really doesn’t have any effect on making a new character, for me at least. Pop a level 20 scroll, eat some skill scrolls, eotm or tome till 80.
Nine 80’s, one with 100%.
I hated map completion, but I’m doing it again as I’m working on a third legendary, ugh.
I’m doing the same, grinding for gold is tedious.
If you have a bunch of alts, gathering can still be pretty lucrative, it’s boring though. http://gw2nodes.com/ will show you where the ori/ancient woods are. Otherwise daily dungeons are pretty good for some extra gold. And the world boss train is alright, just time consuming, http://guildwarstemple.com/dragontimer/events.php?serverKey=119&langKey=1
I think I’ve seen one or two hackers since release. Is it really a huge problem?
commander tag – i want to put nominal effort into getting a tag for laziness, attention, taking donations, and running from point A to B preferably with a broken profession/build and sometimes point C to gank apposition with complete disregard of whether it’s a slaughter of either side.. oh, and afk ulgoth pre Like a Boss
I can be getting donations while I afk at events? Hot kitten !
Was mostly gathering ori/ancient wood daily before halloween (~30g/day)
Then halloween introduced this amaizeing farm. ~50g/hour.
Eotm + bday booster will get you to 80 in ~20 hours.
After two years of nothing from the mystic toilet, this farm is helping me buy a precursor, love it!
I love this farm.
Sounds like you need to join a real WvW guild. There are some awesome tagless guild raids in EoTM.
If your guild is raiding in eotm, you’re doing something wrong. Is wiping up-level pve zergs really that thrilling?
It is to raise their confidence.
I see HB guildies in EoTM almost everyday. Do they have a confidence problem?
Running a guild raid is a lot different from one or two people speed-leveling through k-train.

It was awful. As with every other season, t2 servers can’t match t1 coverage, so those were off weeks. But even when we had our normal matchup, the other side gave up early.
Servers have been bleeding WvW players since season 2.
Which is quite sad.
It took DAoC about 3 to 4 years to see declines in RvRvR population forcing clustering of servers
While it only took 1+ year to see GW2 WvWvW population decline substantially.
Very sad indeed. Esp since this game has so much potential.
Gw2 is a pve-centric game, they cater to their customers, Daoc was pure pvp.
To the OP, I was on bottom tier before season 1, and it was awful. If wvw is what you enjoy hop tiers, it’s a lot better than looking for a fix that isn’t going to come.
Please no, I love having all the assets mashed together, rather than running back and forth like I used to.
I’m ecstatic we get JQ and TC again, maybe I won’t be bored this week. Thanks Anet.
It was great reaching 31 and having nowhere near enough sp to purchase my elite.
