I got unstuck by restarting the game but I can’t queue cus my match is in progress and I get this message when I relog:
Guild member gave this solution that worked: log out of game entirely and stay out for 10 minutes.
I’ll try that and see how it goes
This is how I got out
Restart your game completely. I did it by going to task manager and ending the process.
Relog
Then you’ll get a connection error message, but you are free, except you can’t queue because the match still appears “in progress”.
POSSIBLE FIX
I don’t know if this will work for everyone, but:
- Enter any PvP match with your ranger as a spectator
- Spectate another ranger that has access to their pet
- Press “K” to open up pet management and select your two pets
- Enter a match or HotM to check if your pets will be summoned
Thank you very much. Anet should give you 5000 gems.
Come on guys, I’ve been getting this error for hours, can we get a response at least?
fixed, tyvm
still doesn’t work mine.
Isn’t fixed for me neither
if i use my other account i can play perfectly fine.
Is Kaotic.1723 the account having issues?
yes it is.
im having the exact same issue on darek.1836
Same for Upham.6137
That doesn’t sound related to PvP (as PvP doesn’t have log-in servers outside the regular GW2 servers.)
Can you post something in this forum or create a support ticket?
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/support/bugs
I just did, any idea what it could be?

Hello guys,
So I’ve been trying to play on the Unranked and Ranked arenas but I can’t queue at all. When I click on the buttons nothing happens for 10-15 seconds and then I get the error Code=42:0:9001:4409:101.
Have no issues joining practice arenas tho.
Any help?
This trait should trigger at %25 effective HP but I assume it’s working with base HP instead.
Screenies:
Yay, after a week or two I just got my refund, thanks
I have one little question. I got 2600 gems (500x for Profane/Krytan sets, 800×2 for Phalanx/Magitech sets). I had also bought 2 Glacial Sky dyes (directly from the TP) but I guess they didn’t qualify as eligible items? Is that right?
Thanks again guys.
what is it with people and the school girl outfits? that’s just creepy and wrong….
That’s not creepy, it’s just a school uniform showing a bit of leg.
Well I got the same impression at first, but if you pay attention you can see the big green number, so it does work
Who cares about hotjoin?
Am I cool yet?
Actually he can kill your instance.
What laharl said.
There’s a bug with the merge feature that allows 4man parties to be merged. So having fillers doesn’t protect you.
Also
Have a friend create an in-game LFG. Each customer enters that group and pays, you then invite that customer into your group. Your group never shows up on an LFG and can’t be merged with.
Creating a proxy won’t protect you from constantly being merged.
He’ll usually change your description to “scam” or something like that, or just merge you with other selling parties and leave. After 3 or 4 times that you have to repost your LFG you’ll get suppressed and will have to relog a couple of times before being able to post again. Of course, he does it too so he can keep merging parties for hours.
- Harpy feathers have a cooldown of 5 seconds.
- Arah exploit fixed.
- Jumping puzzle after Belka fixed.FTFY
All seriousness, as someone who has been running path 4 going through every boss for over a month now, I wonder if this will reduce the supply of sellers of this path…
I don’t mind killing those 3 bosses, but they should fix the LFG tool abuse.
Spending time doing a legit P4 only to get kicked or merged for hours (ofc by Heitred) is not cool. Been there.
Because these people in my opinion abuse the LFG Tool.
The LFG Tool is a platform that should help as many people as possible to find as easily as possible quickly groups.
So you are basically saying that people who don’t have a guild should be forced to pug.
No, thanks.
I pugged dungeons in this game for more than a year. Even when I tried to be specific in my LFG posts to run with like-minded players most of the times it didn’t work.
Now, instead of wasting my time and getting headaches trying to pug Arah, I can duo it with a friend, getting not only more fun and gold out of it but also the satisfaction of not having to deal with people’s BS anymore. And that includes people who don’t even bother reading the LFG posts before joining, impolite/childish people, guildies that kick others at the end, and specially, people who can’t do the content and need to exploit (<- reason why I quit pugging Arah).
I’m waiting for Anet to fix all exploits and the merge abuse, and even add a different tab for sellers/buyers in the LFG tool, but other than that, you and everyone else asking to remove dungeon selling from the game (and those destroying selling parties) need to grow up a little and accept that not everyone enjoys playing the game the way you do.
(edited by Upham.6137)
Add an option “Allow party merging”.
Don’t let people in a player’s block list join his parties.
Don’t allow the instance owner to be kicked.
Too hard it seems.
If you wanna run with a lowbie post that in the LFG. Don’t expect people you don’t know and aren’t your friends/guildies to carry you.
Something like “Lowbies run, 80’s help appreciated”. That way you don’t have to deal with the “Speedrun 80s only” and they don’t have to deal with you.
Finally, often people ask if I’m a dps guardian. I ping one piece of ascended armor (which is Zerker, since all are Zerker) not the complete armor. And they just go on with it. Just do the same. They’ll see your soldiers runes, but hey, they asked for zerker gear, not zerker with scholar runes! If they mind it, just leave the group you’ll have no fun, and at the first failure they’ll blame you and kick you.
So if they are looking for full zerkers (which clearly means zerk everything with DPS runes, sigils, consumables) and they mind you having knight pieces and soldier runes then they are probably jerks and you should leave….What?
That’s why I lost all my faith in the LFG tool. Too many people running whatever and joining or posting for speedruns. And then calling you names when you ask them WTH they are doing.
So you don’t think Alphard can be solo/duo’d with warriors?
Uhm?
I know it can be solo’d/duo’d with warriors, just thought it was a big coincidence after seeing mesmer duos, mesmer/warr, mes/guard , etc, now I see a lot more warrior duos with the “lupi is dead” description.
Not saying all sellers do it, there’s no way to check it anyways.
But I feel like if some sellers are exploiting, buyers should use them too. They should know you can kill Belka, swimswimswim, get to Alphard, leapleapleap, get to Brie, get the invulnerable buff, kill Alphard taking 0 damage, surf through mobs, kill Brie, and there you go, no more paying 5-10 gold to someone else to exploit for you.
Missile Deflection
Also warriors can’t swim.
It doesn’t involve swimming.
So now it’s as easy as having one person get to Brie so even one single other player can kill Alphard with the invul buff.
Is Anet ever gonna do anything about Arah exploits other than making it harder for less experienced players = more profitable for exploiters?
Something like making every boss a flag so they are green until the previous boss is killed?
Note I don’t specify how to do it before removing the post for promoting exploits.
Also, funny how all the 2 warr parties are posting all legit or Lupi is dead , uh?
(edited by Upham.6137)
You really shouldn’t expect to not have hard counters playing power necro. So just take it as it is. Other classes/builds destroy s/p thieves.
Most people don’t run bad builds in dungeons because they think it’s the best or the most fun, but because they bring their WvW zerging/roaming or open PvE builds into dungeons. With the exception of “tanks” and “healers” who are convinced they are helping their party.
The problem is that a lot of “I play how I want” still wanna run dungeons fast. Some don’t, and post “no skipping/stacking” or “casual friendly run” and I think that’s great. But a lot of them have no problems joining speedruns, probably because they think the rest won’t notice, which is false.
And assuming that they play how they want because it’s fun is saying that people in this game run dungeons because they are fun. Dungeons themselves aren’t fun anymore for people that’s been running them for a year. Running with friends using voip or with cool pugs is pretty much the only entertaining thing about dungeons right now.
Manly tears for Tybalt. “I have done many mistakes in my life but I know this is not one of them”. kitten it Anet, I felt like watching Mufasa die again T_T
:’<
The second technique is totally neat, and so is the mimic trick. I wish I woulda found those 2 out myself e .e
Well what you said is that the guild had nothing against exploiting, just against skipping.
And I understand it really, I remember being in CoE runs where parties would kill everything but then stack behind boxes and range to avoid activating Alpha which took way longer than killing him in melee range, but they couldn’t do that (at least not without ress rushing) just like they couldn’t skip a lot of mobs.
Thats the first time I’ve ever heard that., So basically you are saying, that 10k AP people are jealous of 1k AP people? […]. At this point Im going to assume you people are the ones with a problem and are reacting defensively, to hide your own “jealousy”…. it is the only possible explanation…
To be honest I don’t care about who’s jelous of what.
But when you said:
Also, there seems to be a giant “misunderstanding” born of ignorance that: “People with AP and Legendaries are n00bs” […]
I got that impression from pugging a lot of dungeons every day, probably more than I should.
But in the end none of this matters as I’m sure the OP was referring to people who purposely merge parties to destroy the instance of sellers or join with a friend to kick them, even when they’ve already been blocked.
Which brings us to the OP’s point. I totally agree with his 2nd statement that the player who assembled the party should have some sort of protection. If you don’t like the party, leave and make your own. A lot of times, you can tell a bad player by his weapons/armors/utilities (signets) equipped/AP to lesser extent. When I request for a kick, it may not get seconded, or worse I’m the one who gets kicked for being “elitist.”
I completely agree Yenn. As long as instances are tied to one person, that person shouldn’t be abe to get kicked.
And those are definitely more reliable ways of telling if someone is bad or good, but to do so you need to know their classes and which the optimal builds are. That’s why a lot of people rather check the AP number.
Yes it’s a terrible thing to do but don’t insinuate or assume you know what happened in instances you had no part of.
Well, then we agree on that. I did insinuate it because the reasoning behind kicking someone because you don’t like their attitude can be compared to kicking path sellers because you think selling is wrong.
Kicking the instance owner when he’s being abusive/trolling the rest of the party sounds fair to me and I think the pug comunity shouldn’t tolerate that kind of behaviour even if it means lossing all progress in a run. But the truth is not everyone is willing to loss that progress and start all over again and the rest should respect that.
I have only done this on one or two of those very occasions where the owner was extremely abusive. Do you post just to try and insult people? The beginning of your second statement seems to suggest so. Really before you start insulting people just think would I say this if this person was standing right next to me.
And I said that those are the cases when kicking the instance owner is reasonable. Why would you feel insulted if it actually was one of those cases? Don’t you agree that kicking someone to destroy the intance because he has a bad attitude (not a terrible, abusive, griefing attitude, just bad) is childish?
To get to 10k Achievement points is not by any means easy, and you actually had to play to get those points.
Time consuming doesn’t mean hard, just time consuming. Most 10k AP players I see in dungeons are as bad as 1k AP players, with the difference that they have useless legendaries, expensive skins and fancy titles.
I disagree with your last statement here. If the instance owner is being a total tool then by all means other members should be able to give him, or her, the boot.
You don’t get anything from kicking the instance ower, you can’t replace him.
Kicking him so you destroy the instance is pretty childish, except in some special occations when his behaviour is so bad that the whole party agrees that destroying the instance is better than just leaving. When you kicked that guy, maybe some of the players would have preffered to finish the path, but you decided that punishing him for having a bad attitude was more important.
And also, being able to kick the instance owner is used more often to grief others, specially path sellers.
I created that guild
[…]
those who couldn’t skip don’t know their class very well..
Your thread made that clear when you said the guild was just meant to not skip anything but that exploiting/glitching bosses was acceptable.
I know it’s a very old thread, so not judging you based on it, just thought it expressed well that not being able to skip usually shows lack of class or dungeon knowledge.
I understand the complaint. Those fights and the chaos of not knowing what to do were a great fun. But that doesn’t last much for most people.
BUT if you still wanna run dungeons “the old way” you can post a LFG no stacking/skipping.
Dungeon experience would be better for everyone if people ran with like-minded people instead of joining any party.
Thanks both of you for sharing your ideas and possible solutions.
I made the mistake of trying to do the spider run on my thief today after someone already activated the turret. The radius of the turret extends too far for me to shadowstep past it without it killing me instantly. :/
Alphard is still really easy though, it just requires a lot more reflects if you have a party that can’t dodge the pull well enough.
It’s not the radius of the turret, it’s the range of the darn spider bites, so instead of taking the normal path, stick to your left and you’ll find a hole you can go through and jump past the turret taking no dmg.
I was suffering too until I found the hole
So look for the hole, mang. Always look for the hole.
I was using a 10/20/0/25/15 build earlier with the new healing signet and could have solo’d him pretty easily if it wasn’t because randomly all his pistol attacks/pull would pierce wardens and feedback.
What the hell with that?
You really gonna call me out for some technical wording. Who cares. Really that is not the issue here.
I was refering to your suggestion of giving more features to the “party leader”.
This is what a dev said about it.
There is no leadership of the party, it is an ownership of the instance. Instance ownership is not tied to the party; you are effectively guesting into someone else’s instance, which is only allowed to members of the party. When the owner leaves the party, the instance is closed.
I’m just clarifying the way that it works. We are definitely listening to your feedback on how you would like things to work.
That’s terrible reasoning. A player can want to avoid being around certain other players without necessarily being “up to something”. I could think of several ways that a few people that could make someone else’s game experience really unpleasant if they followed them around, especially with the proximity aggro mechanic.
Aside from that, the idea that you shouldn’t value your privacy because there’s no harm being done to you unless you’re doing something wrong is just repugnant in my opinion.
Back then, when they added “Daily reviver” there were a lot of people complaining about AFKing for a few minutes only to come back and see other players drawing aggro to them on purpose. It wasn’t because they were apparently botting.
I’ve had people acting like bots while I was watching them and they /say “hey I’m just farming”. It’s not that hard.
I call that stalking. Malicious stalking. A moderator’s since deleted the post and the disagreement’s since blown over, but for obvious reasons I don’t want him to be able to tell what I’m doing in-game. This kind of thing shouldn’t even be allowed to happen in the first place.
Sounds like a serious case of forum warrioring and I agree they shouldn’t be able to see what you are doing if you don’t want to, but he’s not a stalker if he made all that up, becase he didn’t get that info from staring at his friendlist, he just added you and lied about everything else.
If they changed the block feature at least he wouldn’t be able to say he monitored you when he actually didn’t.
P1 is the new p2 now and a lot of pugs join expecting to get carried.
You sure you aren’t overreacting?
Like I’ve had people trash talking me and sending mails and all, but I’m far from thinking they are stalkers.
And if they can see where your character is, and which character you are playing what’s the worst thing they can do? Unless you are doing something you shouldn’t (exploiting/scamming/botting) there should be no reason to worry about it.
The leader should also get more features
The devs have already stated that there’s no such thing as “party leader” just instance owner. It has to do with where the instance is taking place (sever), and has nothing to do with leading the party.
What is a hunter . . .
I’d guess he’s not playing GW2 in English.
In GW2 hunter = ranger. Never seen a PvP title “Champion Hunter”?
OP, my advice would be to quit the bows and start playing with greatsword and sword, and quit tanky pets (bear/drakes)
And if you aren’t enjoying open PvE, just farm chain events or champions till you are lvl 35 and join some lowbies Ascalonian Catacomb groups.
But if PvE is what you like you might want to level a different class. Could try ele/thief as it’ll be quite harder to survive and be decent in PvE.
I just went to switch toons in dungeon and it seems like i was the leader, so everyone was kicked…
I was doing that so i can level up faster my other character, because its hard to enter in dungeon when you are low level…
Dude, seriously? I’ve blocked a few people for this already. It’s ok to not know when someone else is the instance owner, but if you went through the dungeon portal and started it, then you should remember it and not switch characters at the end.
You also should ask your party if they are ok with you switching at the end and ask someone else to start it for you. Problem solved.
Every time I log in I come here and give the OP another +1.
