Okey three things
I agree its not the best that certain events must fail to get the right thing done.
BUT
For the first event, if you log on after after a patch update all maps are reset. Sooo there is nothing to defend and therefore you can get your event. What I did when I needed a similar event done.
For teq, try getting on a map not full. Log off when started and back on, prob getting on different server with fewer ppl. Then easy to get it slow to 75%.

Hello all. Figured I might as well try here like so many others have! I have played since close to start, + 1 year break pretty fast as I didnt feel the game back then. Then started up again and until now. One of my newest trends is leveling alts, got now a 77 ranger who I want a sweet animal look for (name is Ann I Mal, clever I know).
What I hope is for some generous player to gift me those new hawk wings, as that would fit perfect for my new ranger animal look. As a 5. year student money is short, and used rest of my gold on getting that char slot for my ranger and new love for WvW. If anyone wanna gift me those wings, I will be a happy player

Disable ALL Hero Points in HoT maps while meta events ar up – seriously, did you ever test impact of HP trains when map becomes full and event goers cant invite those ho will help them?

Oh yeah, there are many bad deals on the TP, some things I would never buy even tho I might want it. Price is just too bad. Still, many ppl buy bag slots at that price (yeah I dont get it either), and therefore why put the price down permanently? And those bundles, off. Not for me either. But again, ppl buy them so why not? I would think they got more money lowering as more would buy, but hard to know if not knowing number on how many actually buys them. They must give a lot of money so why change? If they didnt get much sales, then the price might come down. Before that time, why do that right?
For the advertising, dont get how that does anything. It simply tell its a possibility. “Hey guess what, you can get lots of sweet gold from trading gems”. Okey, cool. I dont want that but hey, not like they are forcing me right? Do you dislike advertising on tv same way?
They made a good game, now they need to pay their workers. And ppl want to buy stuff to support the company or because they want the stuff. Those who dont want, dont buy. Whats the problem? The fact is buying these things, like gold, isnt pay to win. Its just to look better or have things more convenient, that is all.
What really grinds my gears if the simple kitten fact Anet has not been selling char slots on discount in a long time, give me char slots plz

Odd, I’m making more Gold off mats than ever before. And exchanging that Gold for Gems as the rate has been more lucrative lately.
I guess the ‘fix’ was undesirable for dungeon-runners, but great for us lowly casual gatherers.
This would be quite right in my eyes. Just dungeons that lost, lots of mats cost more now and can get you a nice amount of gold. I sold lots of mats not needed, have more gold than I have ever had (still not too much, but a few hundred).
And like one said here, Anet is a business. Ofc they need to get money, dont think they made this game for you guys to get everything free and never use rl money for cool stuff and skins. Not that you really need to, as you dont need anything in gem store to play

Still not the biggest source for total income either, good dungeon runs are faster. And I gave you a clear reason why dungeons should be nerfed, if U dont get it I am sorry, things must be hard for you in this life
1) “Moving liquid rewards to other types of content” is the biggest bullkitten I’ve ever heard, dungeons weren’t even the biggest source of gold anyways.
If they really wanted to balance the economy, they would remove liquid rewards from SW.2) Elomite is right in everything he says, and you kitten well know it, stop pretending he isn’t.

It is a shame with the gold removal, but I like the change, makes me try other things. Plus it was to easy to get high amounts of gold. Try having a positive view on things without just getting angry and kitten up the forum. I expect someone to kitten my post, and please do, but note its my opinion and I dont really give a kitten just reflext on my advice

It’s so people would be forced to play the horrible new content.
GW2’s core game was a fun, casual friendly experience.
Were soloing your story quests was simple, with plenty of WPs and exp to get to cap.
HOT thou? It has mob density that all but forces a group just to get to the few and far inbetween WPs, HPs that spawns champions require masteries or are guarded by groups of vets, events that spawn all over the place with enough mobs to eat you alive in seconds.
The mobs in HOT exist in 3 forms: does large area damage, knocks downs, does large aoe damage and knocks down.
I tackled the new content with Cavalier armor on, I’ll try Sentinel next because Cavalier is simply not enough to survive in HOT, but then again I get the feeling HOT is not meant to be soloable since not only do the mobs hit hard enough to kill you very quickly they also have plenty of hit points and vets are plentiful.
Are mobs currently over tuned? Should I stop trying to solo my story line?
All in all HOT feels like an entirely different game from GW2, it’s more like a hardcore “die at the 1st mistake” kind of game then the casual friendly game I liked…
Very disappointed in the new content, I’ll do it once to know the story then never again.
Tip from a seasoned fractal player. Get better. Its not about armor its about knowing what to dodge and the encounter mechanics. Sorry you can’t breeze through it the first week with a greatsword and zerker armor lol. Anet said be prepared to try new armor, utility skills and change traits often. Its actually not kittence you learn.

I don’t run zerk, never have. My problem is not a lack of skill, my problem is that a casual game has stopped being so in the span of a single expansion.
It is a good tip tho, since many of your complaints is a sign of low skill not an insult, but I feel you might be too sensitive so you take it as an insult anyways so…
