Well get right on that magic fix for you whilst your at it have any other concerns you want to voice outloud without any legitimate feedback other than “it’s teh broken fix it xDdddd”?
I’d love to know what you’re smoking to find the longbow weak.
Oh look it’s -THIS- thread again.
Congrats on something you’ll get when you get out of the casual section or get level 50 (which is in no way hard) and be able to buy them at will?
I want to be able to run two other legends and maybe have perma fury, or whatever.
So guess it is a “yes” to your question.
Defeats the object of playing a Herald really, doesn’kitten especially when we have fury and might from other sources with a reasonable duration.
So you want us to give up 50% boon duration for something you should easily be carrying over to other legends with a ample duration if you play properly?
I like how nearly everyother day is a patch and you lot still complain like we’re being ignored, the newest class in the game.
Are we "forced" to "chose" the elite spec ?

It hugely depends on your class, but ones I can tell you that are almost near mandatory are Herald for Rev, Chronomancer for Mesmer & Dragonhunter for Guardian.
These ones either offer huge QoL fixes to the classes core problems or are just straight power creep, you can also argue Reaper for Necro but only if you’re interested in power builds.
So you quote me a gaming website?
But I digress, 5 seconds is FINE. you’re not going to get buffs just so you can stomp a already crippled PvP class just because “hurrdurr hes an assassin xD”.
Like what in the world were you thinking when you felt that the class deserves a buff to play counter to one profession? especially considering how strong the skill is as it is.
You have crazy survivablity utilities and skills through the likes of sw#3, shield 5, staff 3, herald heal, hammer #4 for projectiles hammer 3 for phasing out in a pinch, get out of jail free stunbreakers on legend swaps or shiro utilities etc that it leads to Berserker’s being very desirable.
Not to mention you have an insanely safe and well rounded ranged weapon to play with if you can’t play in melee well.
Just because nearly no-one uses them doesn’t change the fact that Racial Skills are a game mechanic.
You may not like them, I sure don’t particularly like them but EVERY character belongs to a specific RACE. A profession or character without access to Racial Skills is incomplete.
Been said a million times, the class is designed with energy upkeep and invoking the abilities of legends, not muddying the waters with flavor racials which are cd based only and don’t fit the theme of what the class is supposed to represent.
Just bc they are trash doesnt mean they should be able to get away at will. And i never said that i have to run from thief, but unlike thieves i cant escape from 1vX yet our mobility skill got cd while the one that can be used to chase/escape do not. That makes little sense.
Shiro was supposed to be all about dps and mobility to chase his opponents and right now he doesnt fuction well at the chasing part. For me thats mean half broken legend.
Find me a direct quote where a developer has said that Legendary Assassin stance is about having mobility and chasing people.
And why do you think you’re supposed to always catch thieves?
Bc they been uncatchable for far too long. Bc Shiro was supposed to chase and murder everyone that tried to flee. Always hated the fact that i couldnt run from the thief but thief could reset at will. They have far too much mobility which doesnt require target unlike us which is wrong.
Either we get back no cd and just increased energy cost, decreased cd on pt or im gonna asking for nerfs and cd’s to them.
Theives are in a bad spot and you want to make it worse for them? Also you make it sound like your demands will be heard and not just ignored because of flimsy excuses like “shiro is for chase and murder lol XDDDD”
Second tab of the vendors @ the very bottom.
So; I’ve been playing HoT happily with no problem; and I decide to pop onto the forums for the first time since launch, and what do I see? kittening and moaning about the most ridiculous stuff.
Everything from “Game too hard” or “Can’t solo anymore” or “Game too grindy”. I’m really angry at you people. Finally we have some competent open world content and the forums are a flame with kitten. I seriously hope no one is listening to these complaints seriously. Don’t let the vocal minority here ruin it for the silent and content majority.
Most of all, I’m upset at anyone who complains about “grind”. You guys are spoiled and don’t even understand what grind is. You want to know what grind in GW2 is? Doing Mad Kings Labyrinth for 5 hours at a time to level up characters; that’s grind. If you’re going to sit down in one area and do the same event for hours; that’s on you, that’s not the fault of the game. You could just as easily make the same progress by just playing the content you want.
Seriously; if I hear one more complaint about how someone can’t solo everything in an MMO and how they have to grind for masteries as they do map completion, I’m going to flip out.
Vocal minority vs People contently playing the game is what you’re seeing, there are some valid complains but most of them here are just awful personal opinions presented as facts or huge generalizations.
I don’t really have a story of sorts, but I’ve really wanted the Vision of the Mists & Whisperblade (Mostly Vision of the Mists) for some time, I play a mesmer main and between working on various ascended peices, trying to get crafts to 500 slowly, but surely and dailies I’m finding myself constantly hovering around 50-100g before losing it all or never having the time or smarts to make bank. But that being said I would love to return any kind done to me back to the community, hell I’ve been looking for opportunity to help out in this thread since I love the idea so.
But yeah, would be amazing if someone could help me become fabulous :>
UPDATE: 3 hours 8 minutes into the story. I finally broke down and paid to win, buying repair kits from Black Lion. Still trying to get through The Pale tree after coming close several times.
It shouldn’t need to be mentioned by now.. ANET you have a very unhappy customer in me after 8 hours in total trying to get through this.
It take’s like 5 minutes to get to the boss fight stage again, why didn’t you just quit and retry?
Why would a nerf mean that they’d become a complete joke after? It’s thrown around like nobodys business like if something gets nerfed it’ll become completely irrlevent.
Do somethings need to be tweaked? Maybe. Doesn’t mean that if said things did they’d be less challenging or they’d make them the equivalent of tyria mobs
On the upside, good to see players being challenged with PvE content, being able to 1 spam up to 50k damage without needing to stop to dodge or cast any other skill.
Awesome.Yeah this one hero challenge is the perfect example of challenging and engaging content. /s
~Foundations.
I stomped this one game as mesmer, sad to see that all PvPers are terrible at the game as expected. I haven’t done much but that one game but I assume the rest of PvP is exactly the same. /s
From Guild Leader to Guild Beggar in HoT flat

I hate to say it but if you’re having to beg for donations/crafting materials then your guild isn’t on the same page as you in regards to working together on the same goal. You should obviously care about the growth of your guild but do it at your own pace.
UPDATE: 2 hours into the story, down to my panties.. just in leroy mode now, getting downed every few seconds by the pale tree. I don’t honestly believe at this point that there is a logical or effective method of doing this fight.
you’re best of leaving to repair after you break something, but can I suggest taking Caithe & Brahmn next time you go in, Eir is super easy, just kill garm and zerg down Eir. As for the pale tree you need to kill the illusions that wander towards her when she goes immune otherwise she does some absurd damage.
As for morde himself, the only phase you should watch out for is the one when your allys call for you to get airborne or hide near your party. (I would suggest just hiding near your NPC buddys.) After those phases it’s pretty straight foward.
Okay then mister smart guy, what do you suggest we use exp for if not masteries?
It could do the same thing as it does in WvW. I don’t mean WXP, but character XP.
So instead of a system we invest XP into to get better at a certain thing you want to change it to a system where we invest WXP into to get better at doing certain things?
Like what other conclusion is there to draw from that statement there both identical systems minus one having catalysts to gated content.
I dunno i think people r exaggerating…im mot a very good player, i press the wrong buttons often in stess situations, im not good at pvp, im extremly casual and i dont run optimised builds but what i think is “cool”…after 4 days im at mastery 15 and have unlocked elites for all my 5 chars – i did never rhink it was waaaaaaay to hard….i managed it with all my classes a d mostly solo….many hp i could even solo that need mpre people…i think the truth is that a lot of people just need to get ridd of their zerker gear…
I don’t think berserker gear is the problem, it’s people’s inability to adapt to change and explore the options their class has instead of feeling like they need to live and die by these ‘meta’ dungeonscum builds.

Yeah, it will most likely get changed – but for now if you do unlock the chest on another character leave the box at the bottom right of your screen and change to your rev. you can open it their.
Why is it so hard for you to convince me I should buy this ‘Expac’? I see paragraphs on what is wrong with the game, and short simple sentences stating ’ gliders are fun’ or ’it’s pretty’.
I used to take for granted (granite) that I would buy whatever Guildwars came out, but now, tell me wtf happened?
the forums are the vocal minority of people who have huge chips on their shoulders, you’ll see baseless conjecture like people taking their bad experience and taring the game with that brush. The game is not perfect, far from. but the expansion was fun, the elite specializations bring alot of cool new options to approach your class you might have been playing for x amount of years.
The zones are vast and always keep you on your toes, you may have to adapt to some things first or learn the tells of mobs but it’s NOWHERE near as hard as some people make it out to be.
The new metachains are insanely fun with organized groups, you may have to go out of your way to get an organized map but the scope and premise of them is incredibly fun, working along side other ‘zergs’ hidden from you to a common goal each a crucial link in the chain.
The story has its flaws, it’s a huge leap in storytelling but some of the things seem very up in the air till the next living season, so if you’re a huge lore fanatic you may be left somewhat wanting at the end, but it wraps up the mordremoth line nicely enough.
I mean in the end you’re paying for access to the maguuma masterys, your elite spec and 4 new zones to play around in with new toys and a new story. If you think you can live without them then save your money.
I remember when the Wrath babies were talked down to back when we complained about the new Heroic/Raid difficulty hell even Ghost Crawler was giving us crap, you know what happened, we quit and the subscriptions tanked; then the Dragon Soul patch hit with 3 easier 5 mans and Raid Finder, less of us came back than left because we found other options. Then Pandy Land came out and they realllly over corrected.
ANets got a chance to learn from other company’s failures including the Goliath I was referring to. The only thing you guys are going to do is discourage us and then ANet will have less capital; this leads to crappier expansions with less content (this is actual history I’m referring to it happened).
What complete nonsense, you realize those dungeons were part of the ‘catchup’ tier right? to get people into the new raid faster, not because the content needed to be ‘easier’ (not that it was remotely hard in he first place just rather time consuming.)
Anyway to the OP
1 – Literally every BWE test was met with praise on how much more fun and engaging the content was based on the difficulty of mobs, even so much that people outright complained in mass when they thought open world mobs were nerfed in BWE3. I’m not going to give you some vitrol driven argument like you have – But you need to change your playstyle once in awhile. I see everyone running around in ‘meta’ dungeon running builds refusing to change utilitys or anything of the sort or explore their kit to help them overcome the content, die and complain that “dat frog is op it just shotgunned me for 17k and im 12k hp berserkers” – Again not a rally to drop berserkers, just adapt (it’s really not that hard, nearly all the mobs sans maybe mushrooms have HUGE tells and telegraphs)
2) Only half agreeable point, the dynamic scaling system needs to be in place here. otherwise I can forsee people doing alot of charity work for HP’s later on when the zones are somewhat less popular.
3) Only unreasonable one is the dragon stand meta, outside of that I had no problem casually picking them up. Nor should the system change just because “You’re a WvWer” you’re a PvEer taking on zerg/roamer pvp, not allowed special allocations like people who are purely sPvP dedicated.
4) you can max out the spec in the first two zones with barely a handful of masterys, the ones required to complete the story will get you a maxed spec in VB and AB with 0 to no effort.
4.2) Have you done DS or AB? Their insanely rewarding for doing the meta.
5) All the content has fleshed links to somewhere else, be it legendarys, living story, achievements or just straight farms. Not to mention it’s so easy to actually make a difference solo by taxing people in towards map cap. It has scored me quite afew favour 6’s
6) Yes twitch is the basis on which the balance of the game or the state of it is good /s – that being said when you whine like this with nothing constructive to offer you’re just as bad. and chances are anything you’ve conducted in your head as a change will be extremely harmful to the class pertaining it or way to good.
7) Like what? Most of the content in HoT (you are posting in the HoT forum) requires coordination not high dps numbers, druid fills its roll just like another and it’s still attached to a extremely capable dps class, so it’s not like your pidgeonholed into healing zerg randoms and feeling useless because you’re using it outside of a organized setting.
8) " Communication and morale is at an all time low." Also known as “I read only bad things on the forums and use that as my basis for the game”.
Just a quick parse through the OP’s history is just full of salt and vitrol towards the game, such as making amazingly construtive threads like “Tanged roots is bad dont make a map like this again” or “look at the bad review this magazine gave the game”. You don’t even strike a middleground of criticism of something you enjoy, you just seem to flat out dislike the game.

Half of these people we’re afk and the other half was mostly just you picking on other rangers, I don’t think I really saw any actual duel gameplay and when it was it was like you versus a rifle warrior who just stood there facetanking you..
Throwing random percentages at stuff is not balance or tweaking in any way, shape or form. especially when its nonchalantly thrown in without any hard math to back it up.
