updates are moving way too slow.
I would like to rephrase this to make it more constructive and have a higher chance of a response.
’ Many people in the GW2 community are noticing that the updates that are being announced are not always in great detail or fully tested, we know that the Developers can only work with what they have but I believe that they would get much more backing from players if we knew the amount of Developers that GW2 have working on content, expansions etc. ’
Please can a Developer provide some light on this topic, even a range will be better than nothing if you are sworn to privacy?
Adam get your kitten back to BF3 nothing to see here, at least for 3-4 months.
Peace,
Volted.
My guildmates and I, all ranks 40-47 left the game a month ago, due to slow changes and clear lack of vision on developers part.
It feels like this game is coasting on it’s initial hype and enormous success of it’s predecessor however it’s pvp nothing like even a fraction of gw1’s.
I welcome all of you to visit gw1 site, and check out posts from it’s golden age: interviews with guilds, discussions of wining strategies, there was even guild of the week interview, a real ladder with rankings, serious competitive drive, all this even not mentioning public observer, multiple game modes, vast variety of builds and real skill required to master your role in a team..
And what now? they think that minipets and cute quaggans or legendary skins will bring them success and enthusiastic player-base? – this is delusional.
Turns out – “we make games we wanna play ourselves” is a double edged concept, we (the consumer) might not wanna play what you like to play…

True this will force build diversity or some more gray matter involved playing this map (RtL eles).

the first team to kill the lord wins idea was tested extensively in GW1 – no you don’t want this.

1.Visible personal rating
-to keep individuall players motivated and able to track their progress.
2. Visible guild rating
-This is crucial, as a guild leader it`s really hard to maintain members in a pvp only guild, unless those are real-world friends. Guild rating and global ladder position will develop strong competitive landscape, will promote team-play, stronger pvp community and finally we will see new guilds coming to pvp scene.
3. Daily/Weekly/Monthly system similar to gw1
I’d suggest to implement unique armor with both pvp and pve skin that has the guild emblem on it given to monthly winners, again gw1 gold/silver/bronze cape analogy.
I view the pvp as the ultimate endgame content, unlike many people here who claim to understand how markets work and spread nonsense like: “if you can`t make money of of pvp it`s not worth investing development.” People do forget that even glorious gw1 did not ship with all it`s pvp features out of the box – far from it.
PvPers will invest money in new content, something like in form of expansion packs, just like any other player will, gw1 analogy again.
Developing strong pvp platform for the game is necessarily to maintain your player-base in a long run.
like in any other game pve can be completed all achievements unlocked, all gear farmed all titles earned as opposed to strong pvp where the true living world constantly engaged in competition, those people are unlikely to quit the game soon, if a strong pvp structure is in place.
Thank you for your time,

If you are on EU servers PM me in game, Volted.2451.

it looks fragile, as any good team will melt it without even help from condition dealer, so nec/ranger can stay and defend mid meanwhile. i’m talking about tpvp.
personally I think best defense for a Mesmer is to kill, as it’s a class best suited for 1v1 so far, plus the ability to portal and assist your team, since you are not using curtain nor greatsword, there no knockback to the build, you gonna watch lots of those allies get finished helplessly, or those enemy players getting rezzed most of the time.
and with lack of knockback any decent guardian will be able to cap the point while fighting in it.

This thread is a collection of boring rant from people who claim to have played gw1 pvp, nothing to see here, moving on…

Hi, please give us some ability to save at least trait specs, as for now this is a total nightmare, to re-spec a character.
And to be honest the trait UI could use some love, right now it feels like browser app, why there’s no [+] and [-] to trait lines?
Thanks,
Volted.
premades vs random is a symptom of a larger issue, primary server based heart of the mists with very low player pool even at peak hours for players to organize into groups.
once the mists is region based much like temple of balthazar in gw1 with multiple districts it will solve many problems.
Peace,
Volted.
+1 for allowing pvp emotes outside the heart of the mists, truth be told I’ve never seen more then 10 players in our heart of the mists server based as they are.
World or server wide tourney winners announcement as in gw1 HA. ability to convert glory to gold or karma, since it’s discouraging for core pvpers as myself to even start pveing.
Peace,
Volted.
I love roflstopming those plz bring some more..
on serious note at 5v5 where I play most of the time haven’t seen any class dominate.
Peace,

I thought there was an age restriction for people to own this game, however you can never pose an IQ restriction can you?
OP – incredibly weak and unproductive critique, but hey you can always play something else.
I’m baffled by amount of pure whining in this section of the forum, 5 minutes in and getting more depressed by reading thread after thread, “game is dead”, “pvp is dead”, “anet dosn’t prioritize”, “anet hates us” – and then a long and rather boring list of things to justify unjustifiable claims – wtf?
Funny thing that if you go to forums of the games those OP’s so sympathize you’ll find out them saying same crap about those games too (good chance those are the same people).

yes to GvG, and again no to HA.
Peace,

response to the title: NO.
there’s no evidence provided just pure emotion, – judge the game by facts and not forum response, I can’t believe that you got anet guys into reading this trollfest.
Peace,
Volted.
lol, well.. glory farming in tournaments??!!! just rofl, you might be confusing simple AFK with something else.
Peace,
George.
wow man, HA realy? HA was the most stupid, new player unfriendly, rank discriminating system ever introduced to MMO, infested by gimmick builds that require no skill at all.
By the way all serious gvg players went there only to get rank emotes and once got phoenix all left and never gone back there again.
GvG on the other hand was well and working, I don’t understand why Anet decided to kill the guild system of GW1? GvG monthly were great and real fun, thought it had some problems as-well.

No thanks enough policing, if you see bot report them.
Peace,

Anet, guys, what is up? I thought you were looking into it, the bug was introduced by the last update I haven’t had this before.
For us who play pvp only it’s kinda game breaking especially in the mid-tourney.
Please prioritize this.
Peace,
Volted.
same problem here I thought it was a balance issue cause it looks like elemental’s fiery sword but today seen someone in mists with it.
Hello guys and thanks for delivering such a great game!
However guilds message window could use some improvements:
1) ability to copy/paste text to/from external apps.
2) when editing previous message the window is empty and doesn’t remember the previous text.
3) you could give it a proper text editor looks (font colors maybe)
4) when editing or creating new announcement guildies should get a popup window with the message , or be notified somehow.
the last two are mandatory.
Peace,
Volted.
+1 for this, it’s really annoying .
