Guild Wars 2

After reading some of this I thought I might bring up a question that has not been asked. What would you like to see in the game that would not make it so boring?

I do understand where you are coming from. I’ve taken breaks from games, including this one, before. I do have to say, compared to the majority of MMOs I’ve played, this game has a very active and diverse community. Other games I’ve played only have one way to level and one way to build certain characters. They have little to no events, and can be considered a cash cow.

No game is perfect, and this one does have it’s fair share of needed improvements in certain areas. So that brings back the question, “What would you like to see in the game that would not make it so boring?”

I bought Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns Ultimate Edition a few days ago. I realize that the Ultimate Edition comes with the Additional Character Slot, but I have been playing the core game since the release date. Would this mean that I am going to recieve a second character slot along with the one that was included in the Ultimate Edition? How long would it take to show up on my account?

I think we lacked coordination the first time around because it was ur first time doing path 4, and this time around we knew what we were doing. Damage is not really an issue. My guild mates run a mix of different armors depending on what class we choose to play. We don’t all run beserker armor. I think our mistake last time was that we just had someone standing too close to the pillar with the tears and it threw the sparks off.

So a few nights ago my guild mates and I were running arah path 4. Besides one of us, this is literally the last path we need for the Dungeon Master title. We went through most of the dungeon pretty smoothly with the help of some guides and online advice. We got to Dwayna, and we fought her for almost two hours without killing her. I’m wondering if she may have been bugged? It was really frustrating because we did everything the guides told us to do. We ran the sparks to the bubbles, had one person on tears, and fought the boss as normal. When she re-appeared she would be back at 55% health or so no matter how fast we ran the orbs to their spots. It was really frustrating, and even the 5th person we invited in for help ended up calling it quits because we couldn’t kill her. The first time around we got her health to 25% after she reappeared, but she jumped back to 55% health after she reappeared again. Her health would just bounce back between 50%, then to 55%, then to 75%. Is there anyway to actually kill her? I really don’t want to spend another 4 hours in this dungeon if there’s no way to beat her.

I’m probably going to be inclined to buying the Ultimate Edition for this game. It’s a great game, and as a casual player I enjoy investing my spare time in it.

I’ve wanted to purchase a copy of Guild Wars 2 Heaert of Thorns recently, but there is one minor setback that is preventing me from making a decision on which version I would like to purchase. Naturally, I want to purchase the Ultimate version because I’ve purchased the Collector’s when the game first came out, and I was very happy with it. I was wondering if all guilds would have guild halls? If I purchased the Ultimate version I would want to use the Guild Hall Decoration for my guild.

I currently have a guild that has five members in it, but they are all five real life friends that actively play the game. The guild has been active since the start of Guild Wars 2, and unless any other real life friends come along we do not plan on adding to the guild. I would only want to purchase the Ultimate version if I was able to make use of all of the items in there, and the Guild Hall Decoration was what concerned me. I do not want to buy that version if I cannot use the decoration on my own guild hall. I do not want to use the Guild Hall Decoration in another guild that I am not actively part of either.

I’m not sure what the scale is and I’m not sure how to find out, but I can tell you there are lots of people playing the game. I have several real life friends who have purchased and played the game with me since launch, and I’ve had more join over time.

I believe that’s actually one of my own personal perks of playing the game. Having people you know in real life play with you makes things that much more awesome!

On a real note though, there are lots of people who play the game. I’ve hardly ever landed in an empty map, except maybe those Tequatil maps people land in when all of the others are full. The player base is also for the most part friendly and willing to answer questions when asked by new people in map chat.

I played a game once that offered a marriage option, and a daily marriage quest with the said partner. It did not give an unfair advantage to other players. It was mainly just a daily quest and a title abive your head saying “Married to…”. It also featured a wedding with some events.

I don’t think it’s something that would hurt the game, but it could cause some complex issues if not done right. If this was implanted Anet might have to allow only male and female marriage contracts because it could be taken differently in another country. They would have to consider the option at an international level, unless they plan on making different versions of this particular feature for each country.

I don’t really think my female Charr would enjoy being put in a wedding dress. >.<
There are also the different cultures in each race to consider.

I enjoy so many things about this game. For one, I am a casual player as well. I can sometimes only get on for an hour a night or so because I run a pretty busy schedule. I love how I can get on and just relax and play though. There is no big rush to do anything, and the game is very versatile allowing me to play pvp one night and pve the next night if I wanted to.

This might be trivial, but I love the music in the game. It does not get old fast like some games, and unless I am on Skype I usually have the game volume on. The graphics are also great and a lot better than most MMOs.

I love being able to play any class with any race without being forced to heal or tank. Each class has a substantial amount of survivability. My favorite is still my charr ranger. =P

I just ordered the corded 2014 Naga and hopefully the quality hasn’t gone down too much from the old version. I’ve just become too accustomed to the extra 12 thumb buttons that I don’t think I could ever go back to a standard mouse. I’d considered the Logitech version, but I always find myself disappointed in their build quality.

I actually set A+D for strafing and use Q+E for other skill keybinds. The titling features seems like a neat addition so I’ll give it a shot and see if that works better, but is there a way to disable it if I don’t like it?

Yup. You can choose to assign the tilt feature to any buttons that you like. Before I used it it was actually set to ~+Shift for left and NumLock for right so it never interfered with my gameplay. I think there may actually be a way to disable it completely if you just leave the key assignments to it blank.

I actually owned the Mad Catz T.E. Tournament Edition before the Naga Razor, and I enjoy the Naga much better. The Mad Catz T.E. had multiple issues with it. It was not Mac compatable for one, and that was one of my bigger issues. It was also much to light and kept sliding, and the scroll wheel was not very easy to use. The grip also became uncomfortable after a while. I ended up sending it back because they still to this day have not released the software for Mac even though their product states that it is Mac compatable.

Edit: I just checked my Razor Synapse to see if you can disable it, and yes you can. You can disable certain buttons you do not like completely, and you can always reset it to default. You also have the option to create differerent builds for your mouse. =P

I’m fairly new to the Razor world. The only thing I really own from them is the Naga Razor 2014.

I’ve gone through various computer mice, and I’d have to say this one is the most comfortable and tehcnologically compatable mouse I’ve owned. I’ve owned various wired and wireless mice is the past, but all of the wireless mice usually failed around the one year mark of owning them.

The Naga Razor 2014 is great because it’s compatable with both my MacBook Pro and my Desktop. I usually use my MacBook Pro for smaller things like the dailies, and I’ll switch to my desktop for the bigger things depending on how much time I have to play. I’ve owned some gaming mice that said they were compatable with my MacBook but weren’t.

The mouse also has a fairly decent weight to it, and it has an amazingly comfortable grip. I’ve never owned the older Naga so I can’t really compare the two on the grip.

Overall though it’s a good quality mouse, and it was definitely worth the money spent. =P

I might have a slight idea to add to the mix. Since most of the messages are just copy and past maybe there is a way that Anet can put a time limit on how many whispers someone can send per set time limit. It takes time to type out a message. =P

I’d love to see at least two new pets pop up for rangers to use since they are going to have a specialization. Personally, I loved it when they released the reef drake with Southsun Cove. I still use that particular dragon very often for many different types of things when I play my ranger.

Who knows though? Maybe pets can even evolve with our specialization, which would be absolutely awesome if they, let’s say, gain a second skill that we can use. I’m excited to see the changes for the ranger most of all since it is my main character and my favorite class to play! =P

My Charr ranger was the first character I ever had to finish map completion. I’d either be really sneaky or just wait for the map to reset. =P

I am mainly a pve player. I dod enjoy pvp and wvw on occasion, but mainly I stick to pve. I can tell you that out of all of the classes I’ve played I enjoy my ranger and my guardian the most. Their skill sets are always being switched to my liking depending on what I am doing. They are both good in dungeons, but I tend to use my guardian if I’m doing a dungeon with a whole group. If I’m just doing a dungeon with one or two people then I will pick my ranger because she is my main and I feel more comfortable with her play style.

I enjoy playing my ranger more when it comes to events and exploring the map. My guardian is great for bosses that are a little more challenging, like Tequatil.

I would pick a class that you are going to be comfortable playing.

I think you’re slightly mistaken. I don’t think you’ll be getting another additional application, but rather the game files will be added directly to both PC and Mac versions regardless if you have the expansion or not. There will probably be a lock on the DLC material that will prohibit you from using it without having owned the DLC or unlocking it with a Serial key. That’s just my opinion. It would be like any other update except it would obviously take a while longer to load.

That does make sense. My other guess is that it will be an additional game file that we can download once we buy the expansion.

I currently play Guild Wars 2 on my MacBook Pro. Even though I downloaded the Mac version of the game I own the Collectors Edition with the statue and everything included. I plan on doing the same thing when HoT comes out. I was wondering if there will be a downloadable Mac version of HoT that will be released when the expansion is released. When Guild Wars 2 first came out I played it using Parallels. Since the Mac version came out there has been no need for me to upgrade Parallels and the graphics are much nicer. I really liked the fact that you came out with a Mac version of the game so my brother and I could play! I would prefer not to have to upgrade my Parallels again because my only reason for Parallels would be the expansion. Will there be a Mac downloadable version of HoT when it comes out? =P

I just saw this on my female Charr this morning. o.o

As someone who plays all Charr, and one Asura this looks awful. Not only is there no tail, ears, or horns, but my character’s chests are exposed. My Charr are all female. I would make sense on a male charr, but not on a female charr.

I previewed it on my female Asura as well. =O

I don’t know if gender change is possible, but she definitely looks like a man with that outfit.

This is exactly why I never buy my characters any nice things. >.<

I think the best way to get it is to buy it.

I’ve been playing the game since it launched, and I have yet to see a precursor. I am, however, a casual player and I don’t spend my whole day, or even week, on this game. I have frequently been doing world events over the time I have played, and I have yet to see a precursor drop. I hope, however, in the future that there will be another way of obtaining them. Right now I think the chances are very slim so buying it with money or gold that you have earned would be the best option.

I am trying to work towards Frostfang myself. =P

I’m not sure if I am the only one who discovered this with the new game update or if anyone else has noticed this too. Does anyone know what was done with the town clothes that were already worn? I was hoping to use my Guild Wars 2 hat that I acquired during the launch of the game for a set of armor. I believe it was last seen being worn by my ranger. I checked my wardrobe and the hat is not even mentioned in there. I was wondering where it could have gotten lost at and if anyone else has had this issue?

The same thing happened here.

I have been unable to sell anything in the trading post for almost a month. I really hope that this gets fixed soon. I logged on this morning hoping for it to be fixed only to be disappointed. Please fix this soon! I have items taking up space in my bank and inventory that I would really like to sell.

I’m a casual player so I just caught up with this trading post glitch yesterday. I hope it gets fixed. I’m glad they are doing something about it. I’ve played many games that, if an error occurs, it might take weeks to months before the issue is resolved.

I understand what you are trying to say, but there are already many different body types to choose from in the character creation panel. I think if characters were to be too big some of the armor would look really odd on them.

On a side note, this is a fantasy based game. I’m not an actual Charr, but I do play a Charr character. =P

I would do world completion and all the story modes in all the dungeons. Complete your storyline as well. This way you can travel in the map without worrying that you haven’t unlocked something and open up the exp run for others that want to do those dungeons. The events that run every two weeks will be more fun too now that you’ve hit level 80! =P

You can also complete some achievements for points to unlock chests and switch things around with WvW and PvP for a bit. There’s always plenty to do!

When does the WvW map reset? I’m trying to do map completion and my last two points on interest and my last two vistas are in WvW in one of the Borderlands map. The only trouble is that they are always owned by someone else. I thought it reset on Saturdays, but I haven’t been into WvW due to school in about a year or so and I’m only doing this for map completion so I believe I missed out on something.

I do have to agree with some of the worst in people. I was in an overflow earlier today, and everyone was saying how we should get on to a chat system to have better communication. When I mentioned I had a Mac and most of the voice communication systems out there don’t support Mac there was a huge 15 minute argument on how PC’s are better than Macs among everyone else. -.-’

I’m going to go ahead and agree with having some of the armor fixed to show the mane, horns, ears, and tail without clipping them. I currently have four Charr characters, and, besides racial armor, it’s hard mixing and matching other armors for them because of the clipping. The armor looks great, but my Charr would love to keep her horns and tail without it being clipped. =P

I would love to give your guild a try! I do, however, have another guild that I’m a leader of so I will not be focusing my attention to your guild 100% of the time. My main character is my ranger, TattooAngel. She currently has three professions, chef, jeweler, and huntsman, leveled up to 400 incase you guys need gear. I’m currently working on leveling the other crafting professions as well. I’ve been playing since the game first came out. As far as chat systems are concerned I play on a Macbook, so most chat systems will not run on my laptop.

I’m on Dragonbrand and I am a huge Charr fan! =P

As a casual player, I’m actually glad that I’m now making a decent amount of coin and slowly moving towards that legendary weapon.
I’ve played this game since it first came out, and I’m actually very happy on how both active and casual players are treated.

Plus, as far as events go, no one ever said you had to do them. Everything in this game is optional. I have friends who only do pvp, and hardly ever touch pve and they have a great time too. =P

I actually really like the shatterer wings. They look much better than the other ones on my Charr, and since I’m a big Charr fanatic I’m glad that one of my Charr can have a really nice looking back piece! =P

Yes, they do play! Every once in a while I’ll see one on playing the game.

I’m glad they play and actually interact with players. There’s been a few MMO’s I’ve played where the creators where never on, or when they were on they would just stand there and go afk.

I wonder how a female Charr would even fit in a bikini? o.O

Well, I can’t say much for humans because I’ve never played one. I usually like picking races that don’t relate to me what so ever. I picked Charr as my first character. The race is very war-like, and it has some pretty entertaining moments as well. The starting area is not too difficult either. =P

After receiving my slingshot skin for my short bow during the Christmas event I thought it was one of the most amazing short bow skins there was. I would love it if in the near future there were more detailed and different types of short bow slingshot skins. I think it fits the short bow very well as a skin. =P

My downloader seems to be stuck after this last update. It’s stuck at the last 3k files that it needs to download. I have tried re-starting the downloader already and it still refuses to download the last 3k files. Is anyone else having this problem or does anyone know how to fix this? I have never had an issue with the Mac client before.

I would prefer if it was on an NA server because that’s were I’m at.
Would you guys prefer a weekday or weekend?
As far as time goes 12am Eastern Time is probably the best for me. I’d rather do it late at night than during the day because I know many people have work and school to go to, so when they come home they could just relax and do this. Would this be a goo time for everyone? I’ll convert it to server time later (lazy).
I think the human city would be a great idea! Let’s strike some fear into those humans! =P
What NA server would be best for everyone? I’d prefer if it had low population so we don’t all end up in overflow.

So I came across this idea a while ago, and I’m pretty sure someone else has though about it too. I was thinking to myself, wouldn’t it be cool if we got 50+ Charr all doing the Haka at the same time, in the same place, on the same day? Now that we have guesting it would be an awesome thing to do. Who would be interested in this?

It would have to be a day and time that everyone can get on. We might want to state the time as server time to make things easier for people. As for a place I was either thinking out in front of the lion in Lion’s Arch or in the Black Citadel somewhere.

I just think having 50+ or maybe even almost 100 Charr doing the Haka at the same time would be an epic and spin chilling event. Who’s interested?

I like this. I think there should be an area that displays how much Magic Find you have.

I also dislike this idea. The health bar in this game regenerates a lot faster then in other MMOs. You also have your skills and other player’s skills to heal you. Health potions, even for gems would also be unfair to other players because you basically have a major advantage in battle when healing yourself.

I’ve bought them in Gamestop.
