I have seen videos about the next expansion changes, and read a lot of rage here, so I would like to make you consider something:

About the “nerf” of deadly chill trait of the Reaper: 1 stak of bleeding; yes I saw it, but the character was in PvP lobby, where traits and skills can be different, and it is already like it. We don’t know if it will be the same in PvE and WvW.

And an upgrade last night, about 2 conditions formulas:

Confusion: Base damage has been increased to match bleed’s base damage; skill-activation damage has been reduced to compensate for this. This change only applies to PvE.

Torment: Base damage has been increased to match bleed’s base damage; movement damage has been reduced to compensate for this. This change only applies to PvE.

https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/info/updates/Game-Update-Notes-August-8-2017-3

I remember Scourge inflicts torment quite good (but probably mesmer and revenant will be more happy about it).

Is it wise to rebuild LA after our defeat?

in Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns

Xarius.6120

LA captains have little to do with the Pacts, in their agenda the rebuild of the city is the main thing to do. That’s because LA live with trades, and none wold trade with a destroyed city, bad marketing.

And the captains of LA aren’t Pact officer, so why should they spend precios resorces for them right now that the city is buried?

Another thing to mention: probably the news about the defeat didn’t reach the known world, so as long none know, no point to give resorces to them; in LA captains eyes, the Pacts have a lot of airships, and the Glory of Tyria, the airship that nuke an Elder Dreagon and defeated it, why worry ?

When Anet bring off the reaper specialization I was realy entusiastic, but it jump in my mind recently that there were already reapers in the game lore: The Seven Reapers of Grenth.

http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Reaper

There are also one reaper in the game, during the personal story Cathedral of Silence

https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Cathedral_of_Silence_%28story%29

Could be any connection?

We could also see the story of our npc:

- Braham (guardian) spent a lot of time with Rox ( ranger ) → Guardians have longbow and traps (ranger skills)

- During a personal story Marjory ( necromancer ) said that Rox ( Ranger ) was helping her to train with the greatsword → Necromancers take greatsword and shout (ranger skills)

- Kasmeer ( mesmer ) spended a lot of time with ( Marjory ) → Mesmers take shield (is it rapresenting necro durability?) and wells ( necromancer skills )

- We know about the druid specialization for the ranger class, probably Rox ( ranger ) for the time spent with Braham ( guardian ) → staff weapon (also guardian weapon) and guardian skills (only speculation).

- Taimi, I rly don’t know her class…. Elementalist? Engineer? She spent a lot of time with Braham ( guardian ), mabie her class will receive something from the guardian class.

- Canach, when we foght him he used a rifle and mines, engineer? And then in the trailer at the end of the living story we see him with a shield and a sword, warrior? And during an other trailer we see an engineer using an hammer, sinergy about engineer and warrior ?

Mine is only speculation based on what I saw during the living story.

In the best probability ( for me ) abaut Warrior new skills : Survival from Ranger. Why? Because we are going into a jungle, that sort of skills would suit Warrior pretty well there. And as weapon: Dagger. Because big weapons aren’t suited for a place full of vegetation, they would be hard to use, and they are more suited for the place and the class.

Did you forget that Necromancers are getting Greatswords when you wrote this part?

Ye, I remember well, I also remember already 2 necromancer have GS : Trahearne and Marjory. personaly I think some classes follow some path to evolve, and isn’t necessary to be the same path for evry classes.

Edit

Warrior will get abilities based on elixirs, called “steroids”.

A little analize:

Ranger skills: Shout , Survival, Signet, Spirit, Trap.

Guardian skills: Shout, Meditation, Consacration, Signet, Spirit Weapon.

Thief Skills: Trik, Deception, Signet, Trap, Venom.

Necromancer: Spectral, Corruption, Minion, Well, Signet.

Elementalist: Conjure weapon, Signet, Glyph, Arcane, Cantrint.

Eingenier: Gadget, Device kit, Elixir, Turret.

Mesmer: Clone, Glamour, Phantasm, Manipulation, Signet.

We already know:

Mesmer → Shield / Well ( Necro)

Guardian → Longbow / Traps ( Ranger, Thief )

Necromancer → Greatsword / Shout ( Ranger , Guardian, Warrior )

“Warriors are masters of weaponry who rely on speed, strength, toughness, and heavy armor to survive in battle. Adrenaline fuels their offensive power—the longer warriors stay in a fight, the more dangerous they become.”

So he will receive something more appropriate to his desin: no magic.

If we don’t count magic skills, skills that warrior already have, and the other skills that other classes already received, it will become:

Ranger skills: Survival.

Guardian skills: Meditation, Consacration. ( Personaly I don’t know if it’s more physic, or magic, help me Q__Q )

Thief Skills: Trik, Deception, Venom.

Necromancer: -

Elementalist: -

Eingenier: Gadget, Device kit, Elixir, Turret.

Mesmer: -

Now I don’t think Warrior will take Thief skills (Trik, Deception, Venom). As far as i know, Warriors are direct guys, and don’t like trik others, hide, or use venoms (the last one probably have a little chanse).

For the remain Guardian skills, I don’t know if they are more physical than magical. Probably Meditation skills would be good.

For the Eingenier skills, personaly I’ll not count Turrets, they are simply not Warrior-like (for my view of point). But a Warrior with Gadget, Device kit, Elixir would not be so bad. In this case a possible weapon would be: Pistol.

Hello everyone, I read that traits will not give bonus stats, but we will take them from equip, I was happy with it, than I thought about the stats that arent on equipment: Condition duration and the primary resources of the classes: intelligence for elementalist, braw for warrior, empaty for ranger, hunger for necro, willpower for guardian, cunning for thief, ingenuity for eingenier and guile for mesmer.

Mabie there is already a post about it and I didn’t see it, but what about these stats? How will we be able to increase them with the new sistem?

Personaly I have another theory: he is Prince Rurik.

I disagree entirely. You don’t take heavy spoilers like the ascension gliffs along with a ghost that looks exactly like Turai Ossa, throw them together and don’t make the ghost be the Ghostly Hero. It just doesn’t work like that. Rather, he’ll probably be our character’s guide to ascension as well.

I also say this

But this theory has not a solid base

Just my fantasy way to link the video to Rytlock story

Xarius.6120

In first place let’s see the runes on the portal, they are the same of the Ascension glyphs: http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Languages_of_Tyria

Probably when Aerin asked to the Master of Peace a way to gain a great power it could be the ascension. Probably Wynne found that place to gain a great power, but as we know ascension isn’t for all, Turai Ossa is an example.

That ghost could be Turai Ossa, he was a guide during the ascension, probably the Durmand Priory had a way to call him. It make sense sice Marjory went back to her contact in the Durmand Priory to analize the simbols we found.

Personaly I have another theory: he is Prince Rurik. He was the previous owner of Sohothin, probably he found Rytlock and they made an agreement, but they need help and Rytlock can’t return in our world so he comes. But this theory has not a solid base, because: why does Rurik appear to the Durmand Priory?

During the video we can also see a few frames about the pact base, one with those giant roots and thay are taking some artillery fire. And a base with no giant roots around, and airship starting to fly. Probably othen than capture and defense the fortresses, we must retake the territory conquered by those roots. In small frames (0.15) we can see a path to the “flower” and no root around (they started to grow right there). We can also see mortar, fire (probably as the fortresses for airship support), and a pile of supply, or could be weapons to use again’st the mordrem or to open a passage.

I doubt about the bloodstone :

“The rock behind the throne is thought to be the Bloodstone from Bloodstone Fen where the White Mantle slaughtered Krytans that could become the fulfiller of the Flameseeker Prophecies. The reason given as to why it may be displayed here is that it can be a symbol of the defeat of the tyrannical order that ruled before Salma’s lineage.”

“Even though the Bloodstone are—at least in Guild Wars—red, and this one is whitish, the cracks glowing are something these two rocks have in common.”

Glint's Egg Speculation [Spoilers]

in Living World

Xarius.6120

In the trailer “Evry force in Tyria will want it” , let’s think about it.

Right now in that area there are: the pact and the military force of evry race, and the information about the egg could make avarice for them (if we follow what it’s say).

The pact could use it to fight the dragons.

The humans could use it to protect themself

The charrs could use it to destroy their enemies ( foefires, brandeds, flame legion ).

The norns could use it to find a way against Jormag.

The asuras could study it to learn more about dragons and their link to the eternal alchemy.

The sylvaris would use it to bring all togheder to fight the dragons.

In thoset regions there are bandits, and we know that they have relations with the inquest and Caudecus. He could use it to have enought power to take over the trone. The inquest could experiment and research over and over on a living dragonand take all they want.

Of course Mordremorth want if for various possibilities: hig source of magic, one less dragon to share the world’s magic, a way to go against kralkatorrik (?!) for the same reason.

Let’s think about it, we don’t know if in the past the elder dragons fight each others ,probably not because the magic of the world was already finished before it could happen. But now with Zaithan out of the ballance, and more magic for the others, a war among elder dragons could be possible, and in war take advanteges is crucial, especialy if it’s very near (the egg).

And right now the races send their troops to join the fight against Mordremorth, and it’s a good occasion for their enemies to attack their cities.

Largo, maybe it should be a playable race?

Where is Master of Peace going?

in Living World

Posted by: Xarius.6120

Xarius.6120

In a first time I think the same he is going to the bloodstone in Maguuma. But then I remember this :

“The rock behind the throne is thought to be the Bloodstone from Bloodstone Fen where the White Mantle slaughtered Krytans that could become the fulfiller of the Flameseeker Prophecies. The reason given as to why it may be displayed here is that it can be a symbol of the defeat of the tyrannical order that ruled before Salma’s lineage.”

From: http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Queen's_Throne_Room

And probably the queen has some connection to it because she needs a large ammount of power to do this:

“Jennah is an exceptionally powerful mesmer in her own right, able to single-handedly end the Ogre Revolt by creating a clone of an Elder Dragon convincing enough that its Branded minions withdrew, whilst simultaneously casting a glamour that held hundreds of humans and charr in place.”

From: http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Queen_Jennah

If it is the real Bloodstone from Maguuma, then the Master of Peace must has annother destination.

Consequence about the ley line in Season 2

in Living World

Posted by: Xarius.6120

Xarius.6120

I didn’t see a topic about it so here my questions:

“The ley lines that criss-cross the world are the channels via which magic, the lifeblood of Tyria, flows through everything.”

http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Ley_line

When Scarlet modified the flow of the ley line under Lion’s Arch it move under the ground and we could see a light coming from the ground :

Starting from Lion’s arch the ley line probably flowed probably in: Dominion of Winds ( or Gendarran Fields and then Queensdale), Kessex hills, Caledon Forest, Metrica Province, Maguma Falls. (probably it’s incorrect but that’s not the point)

Now the questions:

1) How will this influence the livings (plants, npc, creatures…)?

2) How will this influence the heroes (if it will)?

3) How will this influence the maps (the ground)?

4) How will this influence the world balance? (Divinity’s Reach, The Grove and Rata Sum are relatively near the ley line; on the contrary Hoelbrak and Black Citadel are pretty far away)

How will any future villain counter Scarlet?

Wild Scarlet's Defeat Speculations

in The Origins of Madness

Posted by: Xarius.6120

Xarius.6120

" Some dropped like autumn leaves, slowly drifting down to root level. There they stood, stretched, and then set out into the void, disappearing as they cleared the spreading canopy. Some never made it that far, staggering, falling, and withering within the shade of the great tree.

Disappointment soured Ceara’s fascination. Was this it, then? Were the lives of all sylvari so easily encapsulated? Birth, travel, experience, death, all played out under the dictates and philosophies of the godlike entity that created them?

She refused to accept that. Everything she had learned said that no system, no matter how complex, can perpetuate itself indefinitely. Those that did not evolve inevitably failed. "

From : http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Short_Story:_What_Scarlet_Saw

Now let’s think about this point. Probably she tries to change and empower some races evolution for what she saw in the eternal alchemy (if it was the true eternal alchemy). probably the Pale Tree wanted to stop her because she can see only a little part of the entire picture.

During her attack to the Queen Jubilee evryone of us thought that she wanted to hit the queen and steal the human tecnology. But think about where she attacked: at the botton of the great collapse. And now a lot of her machines are slaming the ground around Tyria.

I don’t think she is a dragon minion, probably she is tring to break the rules, but to make it, empower some races or make some ibrids is not enough, probably she need something under our feet. Where dwarfs and Primordus. From the first we know they have a lot of knowloge, and from the second we know scarlet studied a lot about dragon energy.

Probably her goal is to change the base of the things in the eternal alchemy, and to make it she needs a lot of stuffs and knowloge. Will she make it? Probably partly, and the aftermath of it will make a lot of moves in Tyria.

Did I miss anything?

So to have nice stats to stay alive, and haven’t only active defense would make difference in PvE.

P.S. : Players already have attaks that are unblockable, to add this option to any veteran/elitle/champion/Boss/World boss attaks ? Stats will have a great valute, but better don’t abuse of it, it’s a skill game, not a stat game :P
