I had already cut down to an hour for several months and cut down even further to logging in just for the daily login for the last few months.
I never put in the same amount of time nor got the same amount of enjoyment from GW2 as I did GW1.
Allow us to continue salvaging when encumbered. Let the materials pile up in the encumbered prompt and let us deposit all at the end of salvaging. The end result is still the same. Saves / extra clicking.
Restore right-clicking through the mail interface to bring up the context menu on inventory. This feature was removed at the end of 2012 / early 2013. Saves time / extra clicking.
Replace incompatible / unequippable soulbound items from the Mystic Forge with account bound. Gives use to useless items.
Replace soulbound inventory bags (Trick-or-Treat, etc) with account bound. Gives use to useless inventory bags.
Add new Mystic Forge / Crafting recipes to upgrade inventory bags. Gives use to useless inventory bags.
I believe you mean you want a panel that only shows bound equipment.
Warrior traited for healing on shouts and banners
The hyena pet can summon a hyena ally which lasts between 10 to 40 seconds.
Hyenas are weak so I wouldn’t recommend using them.
How many slots / professions do you have on your account? If you have less than 8 slots, I would recommend holding out for the 3rd birthday gift and work towards the gems for an extra character slot (Norn / some profession you don’t yet have) in the mean-time vs re-rolling immediately.
You might get a valuable dye from the Celebratory Dye Pack which you can then sell / trade and exchange the gold for gems.
Rack up achievement points. Every 5000 points awards 400 gems.
If you still don’t have 800 gems by the 3rd birthday, you can then decide to re-roll a Norn. You will have at least received the birthday gift. Though, if you’re still playing in a year from now, you might regret not waiting out for the 4th birthday gift if it’s any good …
To add insult to injury my friend was able to get into a new instance where there were no other people for 3 rounds. I tried to Join and kept getting stuffed into other instances that were either full or had no songs left.
I just wasted time where 3 of the other party members (who belonged to a guild) voted to exit at Mai Trin causing the entire party to return to the fractal lobby without finishing the fractal run.
I would prefer to either have the Travel back to Dessa’s lab option disabled during the boss fractal (or at any point from the 2nd fractal onwards) or have the players who successfully vote in favor be kicked from the party.
Skill scrolls aren’t awarded anymore. You get spirit shards instead.

If you didn’t use up your scrolls before the patch, you kind of missed the boat.
The feature patch last year was catered to people who would normally quit the game …
This OP is pretty funny. Why would you cater a few people who returned to the game over people who have been consistently playing this game since release, It just doesnt make any sense. People jump games thats a fact, but returning to gw2 and hoping for a free server transfers so they can play with their friends and hoping that this faction of a population finally decides to stay and play gw2 instead of jumping to other bandwagon games, totally pointless. If you want to play with your friends decide to stay and play gw2 ask your friends help to help fund your transfer, or delete that 1 80 character, i ahve deleted 5 80s no biggy.
Check the Nvidia Control Panel settings for Gw2.exe and make sure it’s not using Intel.
What do you consider very low fps?
If the fps doesn’t change when decreasing resolution, you might have the frame limiter set to 30.
The hard cap fps specified by the -fps command line argument isn’t applied properly now.
The frame rate specified is applied during the character selection and loading screens but is overridden by the GUI’s frame limiter (30/60/unlimited) setting during gameplay.

You can also mail an item to someone you trust and have them mail it back / Return to Sender.
If you can contact a person outside of the game who is on your friend list , they can check their list to find out which server you are on.
I suggest they Just change all of the enemies in the start zones into ambient creatures.
That’s actually a really good idea.
I got an infraction for that post. Hurrah
A dev once stated monster exp isartly based on how often a monster is killed. The less it is killed on the map…the more xp it gives. Hence why yellow mobs are meant to give more xp.
Actually, it is based on how long the creature was alive.
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Experience
“An exploration bonus is earned based on how long a creature has been alive in the world”
With everyone farming the same mobs (no thanks to the megaserver implementation), that might be why there has been a massive decrease in bonus experience.

Maybe higher level mobs now give less experience, causing a logarithmic curve in leveling. Fast at low levels and slow at higher levels?
Experience gained for killing enemies at a higher level than your character’s level was always less than for enemies equal to or lower than your character’s level.
Pary members in different instances now appear on the minimap.
Is this a bug or is it now a feature?
In WvW terms, we are walking loot bags.
Africa is not a country -__-
Oops. I meant South Africa.
If all the minis are now “tanned”, maybe they are now marketing the game to a new market …
insert derogatory statement about some population here
Maybe they wanted her to look more “Made in China” like?
Production in China is getting expensive. You need to look at the other BRICS countries now. Maybe Africa?
They thought “An apple a day keeps the new players / alts away.”
So they got rid of the apples.

I just checked out their Facebook page and even users there have commented they are not happy with the changes.
If the forum users are considered in the minority (as in importance and userbase), I suggest everyone go onto social media and voice their concerns.
Just checked and it’s documented in the wiki notes:
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Game_updates
“Dive locations are now marked on the map and diving goggles are level-gated. "
They are right … if they wanted to save money on server expenses by getting new customers to quit as soon as possible. There’s nothing to be gained from existing customers except sucker referrals to others and gemstore purchases.
Raving Asura (about the game): “Breach! Broken! Falling! Screaming! Dying!”
Raving Asura (about the players): “I couldn’t save them. I heard them all. Pleading. All gone. All on my watch!”
The only way to get rid the annoying arrow is to equip a passive healing skill if your character’s class has one.
It’ll only be a matter of time before the passive skills get the same treatment.
You have to remember one important aspect to this: We are not China.
The game will not function here as it does in China.
The students I know over there are frustrated playing their version of the game too.
Also, by not having vistas and skill challenges available at an early level
I noticed the skill challenge restriction but I was too peeved to notice the vista restrictions. So much for leveling up by exploring the world.
I don’t like the change. Because of that blueish glow I can’t spot which rarity the items have.
Agree.
Because of this change, I have to rearrange items just to make sure I don’t accidentally salvage certain items or waste a salvage use on a lower grade item (ie blk on a white).
For a new player, every enemy encounter is a world boss battle!

ArenaNet, can you please add a short tutorial on how to click skills? Thanks!

Can we get a graphics option to disable the rendering / display of minis?
As far as trading goes however, I don’t see much point to it. If you wanted to trade something with someone use the mail system. If you’re trying to trade something with someone you don’t know, then why are you trading with someone you don’t know? Put it on the TP.
The problem with using the mail system is if you are sending more than 10 items and send the 3rd mail too quickly, it will be blocked as excessive messaging.
I also had an experience when someone’s name randomly apeared in the recipient textbox even after entering the intended recipient’s name. Safe to say, that person did not return the rares I accidentally mailed them.
This past weekend, I put 4 Green items into the mystic forge and ended up with a Blue item. I know it’s possible to get an item with a lower average level (I often put 4 lvl 80 and often end up with lvl 78) but of a lower grade? The mystic forge just keeps getting worse.
Other suggestions:
Can we get a mystic forge in other cities? I prefer to go elsewhere other than Lions Arch. I was somewhat glad when the mystic forge was temporarily moved after Lions Arch was destroyed.
Can we get new forge recipes to upgrade harvesting tools? ie. 4 mining picks of the same class give 1 pick of a higher class or 4 tools of the same class for 1 random of a higher class.
All the way up to Orichalcum.
I received way too many Steel harvesting tools from loot bags and I accumulated them faster than I can bother to use them. I could destroy them but I don’t like destroying stuff.
I had the misfortune of 1 cm story attempt (i was instance owner – hijacked and kicked), and some fractal attempts (the instance owner left at 3rd, instance owner left before everyone else could loot 4th fractal chest, I got kicked at 4th fractal with server lag/dc issues, and more) all this past weekend.
I was about to report the people I suspected of kicking me in the 4th fractal. I whispered 3 of the players ( the 5th player was using offline status during the entire run). Only 1 of them replied and they claimed there was no vote to kick. I still have screenshots during that dungeon run and of that last whisper but I didn’t submit the report.
My suggestions:
If the instance owner leaves (dc , rage quit, leaves party) the instance should remain open. If they were kicked (hijacked) then I’m all for having the instance terminated (but I’m sure there are trolls who will hijack LFGs just for the sake of kicking the instance owner to ruin the dungeon run.).
If the instance owner was kicked, they should have the option of re-entering the instance.
If any player is kicked, there should be a message in the chat log to notify who initiated and voted for the kick. There should be some way for the message to persist just in case the game doesn’t load right away (ie. server lag / dc issues).
There are people whose in-game mail still doesn’t work.

I realize keeping old passwords in the DB is to prevent (any) players from using the same password.
I have a question:
Are old but uncompromised passwords still tied to the GW2 account?
For example:
Lets say I used to use an uncompromised “Password1234” as my old GW2 password which also happened to be the password for my email account. After reading Mike O’Brien’s article, I decided to change my GW2 password to keep it different from my email. Let’s say I didn’t change my email password …
Password1234 is now part of the unusable passwords since it’s still stored in the DB.
From:
https://www.guildwars2.com/en/news/mike-obrien-on-account-security/
“(The blacklist contains passwords only, not account names.)”
Does he mean GW2 account names or compromised website/email account names?
I want to know if Password1234 is still associated with my XunlaiSpy account. If it is, anyone who has access to the potentially compromised database now has access to my email address’ password. (Remember, I didn’t bother to change the email password …)
The fact is that the historical cross-reference from ANet itself led to a compromise. Which may be what Commander players are experiencing …
So … what used to be a clean uncompromised password is now compromised because ANet stored it to prevent other players from using it but hackers were able to use it themselves in another way …
