The Rogue Headpiece doesn’t appear to have an unlock flag, and so it can’t be placed into the wardrobe. I’ve tried multiple karma merchants and all of the rogue headpieces I’ve seen are missing it.
An example would be the Oldgate Leather Mask [&AgFNEAAA] from Tiga Fierceblade in Diessa Plateau, at Nolan Waypoint [&BN4AAAA=]. The Skin Unlocked text as well as the skin name are missing from that item entirely.
Another example is the Supple Leather Mask from WvW armor vendors. This one is missing the Rogue set name but has the Skin Locked text. Despite that, it can’t be unlocked either.
Edit: This was not related to the just-deployed 4/17 patch, the noted skins still behave this way.

The Southsun Crab Toss Guild Challenge is currently not working correctly. Karka Hatchlings show as green to the carrier and they do not do any explosive damage or apply karka conditions.

Considering that the new jumping puzzle details on wiki talk about diving goggles, presumably it’s in there.

I’ve been trying to think through how ranks 21 (DR) and 22 (HoD) got matched up with a 14 (BP). If you look at the raw tiers, this is a +/- 3 tier spread. BP is tier 5, DR is tier 7 and HoD is tier 8. The description of the new system states that BP should never be matched up with a tier 8 because that’s three tiers away.
However, if you look at the raw server rankings and break THOSE up by tiers, you’ll see this:
14 Borlis Pass
15 Anvil Rock
16 Darkhaven
—-
17 Isle of Janthir
18 Gate of Madness
19 Sorrow’s Furnace
—-
20 Northern Shiverpeaks
21 Devona’s Rest
22 Henge of Denravi
When you just look at the tier distribution based on static triplets, HoD is top t8 and BP is middle t5, and they’re four tiers apart (making it +/- 3). If you look at it this way, on a strict numerical distribution, HoD and BP are polar opposites in a three tier spread, making it viable for a +/- 2 tier distribution match up like what happened.
There is no mention that I can see in the official blog post about whether or not this spread is based on raw rank or on the existing tiers.
If this is as designed, +/- 2 is too high of a spread in my opinion. I’m sure HoD/DR isn’t the only pairing that is getting stomped so far this week.

I enjoy the fight, the mines mechanic isn’t bad, but the issue I have is that if you aren’t paying rapt attention to the chatbox you miss out on crucial information. The animation Canach uses for detonating his mines is no different than the shield animation he uses to block; there is no way that I can see to distinguish them unless I’m watching the chatbox. This is completely opposite of the “don’t play the UI, play the game” mentality that spawned the minimalist UI, and it detracts from the enjoyment of the fight.

Ever since the diving goggles were introduced I’ve been hoping for a proper diving animation- with the release of the Tunneler device, we (almost) have one.
I suggest merging the diving animation present in the Tunneler device with the Diving Goggles so that you can be seen properly diving off of something, perhaps via an additional skill available before the jump.

perhaps to distinguish guesting players from ones based on another server?
Definitely not this. I guested and there was no [D] reported. Current conjecture in guild chat is that it might be related to how WvW is deployed- each tier has its own hosting server name (or something) that’s a separate entity from the worlds, but some of them have identical names. Adding the [D] separated the WvW server with the world name, though why they chose [D] I have no idea.
Right now, for T8 the location is visible as “Jade Quarry [D]” when viewed by someone that’s in another bracket. Someone on the same home world would see it as the usual white “World vs. World”. T2’s location is “Borlis Pass [D]”, and so on.

After I loaded the new patch, I began noticing that some players in my guild whose Location is displayed as another server now have a [D] next to that server name.
It’s not showing up like that for all servers, only a few specific ones. I have observed Anvil Rock, Borlis Pass and Kaineng all with the [D] designation.
Does anyone else know anything about this? As far as I can recall, these [D]s weren’t there before.

We want to WvW… we enjoy that the most… plus I don’t think he can be in our guild if he is guesting…
He can. Guild membership is cross-server.

Area: Mount Malestrom, northwest corner (south of Govoran Waypoint)
Server: Henge of Denravi
24/7
15-20 bots, all in the same guild, teleporting like mad whenever a new foe appears. All up and down that path.
Recruitment Status: Closed.
1. Frostgorge Sound, the grawl valley between Despond Precipice and Frostwalk Tundra.
2. Henge of Denravi
3. All hours. There are 1-4 bots that are there every time I visit. I’ve seen them in the morning, afternoon, evening and late night on various days of the week. EST timezone.
Initially I only saw one, then more would appear from time to time. I first thought that the others were actual players, but the haphazard way they defended the first one as “its magic, he not bot, he my friend” was a total giveaway. They follow the exact same path between two points in the valley, and deviate only to fight mobs that aggro.
Much like the pathing that event NPCs have to follow to a T- if they move forward to kill an enemy outside of the constraints of their path, they have to return to the last point on the path that they reached in order to continue.

How do you expect us to figure out which ones you need with such a low quality map?
Anet added the ability to see individual completion percentage on hover of the zone name. Use that to figure it out.

You’ll have to give it some time before you get a proper match-up due to how the system calculates ranks.
For some context, my guild is in HoD, and has been since headstart- before the Titan Alliance moved in and turned it into a zergfest. It sucked because WvW was impossible to reach due to constant several-hour queues. We’ve been slowly creeping downward in the ranks for weeks now. It may be several more weeks before we end up with a fair match. So far every single match post-TA has been a HUGE OVERPOWERING ZERG, a slightly-better-than-us server, and us.
Until they finally lock down server transfers to a paid state, this will keep happening to other servers and the cycle will just keep repeating.

This is intentional, it is designed to encourage people to stay on the same server and not bounce from one to the next with no consequences.

450 hours of play across six characters. 100 additional hours in beta. No question it was worth it.

I have three characters ~40, one ~60. 350 hours played, 37 maps cleared (nothing higher than gendarran fields except for harathi hinterlands). I’m totally going slow as garbage and loving it.

I had recently loaded into Hoelbrak and lost about 60% of the progress I had made on town completion before trying to load into an instance. Seems to have only affected that zone as I had just come from completing Divinity’s Reach and it was still intact when I logged back in.

I think the questioning here is how do they distinguish between single button>single button and single button>series of button scripts.

We have already been told why this will not happen. (Sorry, no source, it was a post on a now defunct BWE forum thread) Adding additional collectible storage for every single intermediate material is prohibitively large and they can only add so much.

The official benchmark given is 90 minutes per level past 30. I haven’t leveled significantly faster than that unless I was crafting, but that’s just me.

It revealed the map during the sequence, but not permanently as far as I’m aware.

You initially choose between pairs to just see how they work. There is an eventual quest for each character that implicitly states “you are picking this order permanently.”

Guesting is disabled while they have free server transfers open, and will be until the WvW matchup rotation is a bit more balanced. We don’t have an exact timeline for that to change over yet.

I believe you’re confusing your ingame character name with your account’s display name. The display name gets the four-digit code if there are two of them; character names cannot have duplicates.

Probably would be tough.
That being said, I love both the female VAs for Sylvari and Asura, they fit really well.
