Wtb ‘travel to fractals’ – like the terrace/airship/home instance passes.

Fractal auras – would need to be super expensive to prevent everybody being a xmas tree

Buy titles – (not sure if theres a feasibility issue here since there isnt anything in the game that does this but you send items in mail after bugs which do this? Or are they activated via hidden achievements which is why we cant buy titles?)

Lore books – Loads of potential for lore in fractals, theyre mostly based on onown eventsnbut i really want to know about uncategorized / chaos and THAT asura!

Home nodes – For matrixes??. Not sure on this one, what the resourxe would be. Maybe +1 infusions. Whatever wouldnt knock the economy.

BL keys (long shot doubt anet want to introduce these more outside a paywall)

Fractal wvwpvp reward track unlock – again not sire what these would contain

Minis are ok but get hidden so often become useless

Instability remover/switcher – hate strip boons! Maybe gives you a random other one. Can imagine this is a technical implementation pain, 2048 effort!

Buy HoT tokens for fractal relics. Because we can do it with leystone convertor, why not!

If we can trade one for an aura attunement. Tonics are fun but so restrictive – out of combat, not in certain areas (which is fine) but you use them once or twice and they go in a drawer. Pretty sure people feel the same about minis. Really fun bit restrictions make them not worth using.

At least with an aura its ‘always on’ and ‘just’ a partical effect. So no massive design work clipping issues etc. And since the tonics are so rare you’re not risking everybody being a shiny xmas tree!

This thread is great, you can clearly see who works in a tech industry and/or has worked on complex systems before. Surprised to see so much compassion for the devs, we must all be of the same breed.

Feels out to the team thats resolving this, kitten happens. Anybody who expects 4 years of a complex system like this with no issues just doesn’t understand systems. Yes be annoyed, but we’re all humans. you lost 1-2 hours ‘work’ playing the game, anet employees probably had hundreds of man hours, sweat and tears just to add the new minigame alone. Remember there’s a real person behind every developer/artist/animator/manager/documentor/analyst/engineer (the list goes on).

Not a perfect answer, but frostfang by experience has footfalls regardless of hand. HOPE being multi handed too i’m presuming it’s the same. But i’d still probably wait to hear from somebody with HOPE.

Some great points and enthusiasm but Solo Q / Pug in pvp still has that random element that isnt worth rewarding. Anybody who gets 25 in a row wins just got v lucky with who they were matched with (not to say they aren’t competant players).

I would like to see larger teams at a ranked level though regardless of premade/pug/solo status!

Here’s my prediction:

Since knocking off 2 dragons there’s an abundance of magic / ley energy that hasnt been consumed. This has to go somewhere if not the dragons so is now overflowing (remember that simpsons episode where the trash overflows out of the golf course because homer puts all the garbage in the mines, that).

With too much magic the next story arc wont be so much lets kill another dragon (twice is enough, its dull cant do it 2/3 more times, plus they want to entirelly avoid bubbles, cus of water combat. Instead I imagine it will be a new protaganist abusing the abundance of magic and/or out heroes figuring out what to do with the magic, if not let dragons eat it. Cant destroy energy, needs to go somewhere.

Enter rediculous enemy that makes dragons and scarlett look like peanuts. Moon monster whos gonna eat the planet. Nominore.

If I complete of hearts and minds a second time on an alt will I get all the rewards from it from my main? In particular the new armor box you get so I can get a second piece?

Same issue here, including the small (42mb?) patch. Just lagged, disconnected then it downloaded a patch. Unable to log back in ever since.

The reason it’s not ranked by win/lose % is because the points system takes into account rewarding harder games with more points. In the above example rank 21 had been matched with what the game deemed as wins that they’d been expected to lose, but won. Rank 22 guy had ‘easier’ games than rank 21.

If that is the case then why is it like that. Why does solo players quitting mean everybody doesn’t get forfeit?

Can people at least just quit the game and come back later if they’re going to not play. At least when you quit the rest of the team gets a forfeit instead of a loss.

Sure you get a loss against you, but you’ve already made that decision for us already.

Also the closer score you get to 500, even if it’s a loss you still might get 0 points rather than -3. So either quit or do your best please.

People don’t seem to know this or are just out to frustrate others.

So we solve thw problem by flooding 5 player turrett teams in the test leaderboards, the one thing gw pvp devs are looking at right now. If the top x players are all turret engis that will highlight the issue? Turret2win.

Can also confirm this worked a treat over the weekend. Ended up swapping out hold the line for WoR. Was wary at first losing the condi removal from hold’s traited shout but was totally worth it. Just hilarious watching Rangers melt themselves.

How do you counter long bow Rangers when there is more than one and you’re bunkering down waiting for your team mates? One is fine, use the environment to stop Los. 2 however it’s rare you can position yourself. If there is no way to break Los you literally have to blow all your cool downs in 10 seconds? Any suggestions? Or just run off point and hope they don’t try to cap?

Just play the game and save up don’t go out of your way to find the mats. Over the course of 20 months I’ve made frostfang and infinite light through buying the materials. At the same time for dwayna wings, bow, 7 80 characters, numerous ascended, rank 65 PvP, 12k Ap etc. I’ve never grinded for anything. Just happened to play the game, be patient. You’ll have much more fun 20 hours a week doing whatever you want than monotonous farming.

AA -> Dodge -> 1 sec later -> another AA -> Dodge -> 10 seconds of eating AA due to no endurance.

No I didn’t say that you just misinterpreted my post then acted like a kitten in front of everybody whilst others are trying to have a discussion. Dodge/reposition/counter wasn’t in any particular order (hence / meaning or). Never did I say dodge the AA.

Point is they (gs AA, ranger rapid, lee frost bow) all have the same features, a long range attribute dependant attack easily traced back to the attacker due to the visuals. Hence there is no problem with the attacks you just have to use your noggin to counter (dodge/reposition/focus attack). It brings a welcome extra layer to pvp that isn’t just melee based and requires your team mates to help you defend..

• Wealth track – rewards fixed price items to boost gold gain by a little bit (each reward gives like…5 items worth 10s each type of thing?)
• Resource Track – As the track progresses, gives t1-6 materials and rewards rares at “check points”
• Storage (Spring Cleaning) track – Rewards bags, black lion salvage kits, etc.
• WvW track – rewards siege, silver, badges of honor (i cant imagine it being better farm that EotM though…)
• Fractal track – various materials, fractal relics, and skin choice on complete
• SAB track – (reactivate the bauble merchant) rewards baubles, miniature crafting items, weapon crafting items/pieces (these things are WAY too expensive on the TP, there needs to be a way to get these weapon skins)
• <Insert Season> track – rewards similar items granted from event farming during Mad King, Wintersday, Jubilee, Dragon Bash, etc.

If you nerf rapid fire then you also need to nerf frost bow and mesmer gs AA at the same time for the same reason.

Ranged attack with high burst, just target the ranger and have him killed in 1 second, move on. There’s no problem here.

I read in this thread here on reddit there’d be “no lockout” for wvw transfers. Can somebody explain what this means?

I’ve wanted to transfer servers for months – does this mean I don’t has to pay or does it mean players can move between wvw servers anytime they want during a tournament?

I installed a private server of another mmo a few years ago, where you could tamper with the settings make yourself a GM and instantly give yourself anything in the game. It was fun for about 40 minutes but when everybody had the same stuff it took any kind of differentiation between what was special and what wasn’t. Removed the server shortly after.

I would probably agree make everything as accessible as each other previous to that experience but IMO “ultra rare” adds enough staying power to a game for it to be a valuable feature of gw2, RNG or otherwise.

There are players right now who feel Entitled to a Precursor. They want easier access to it, simply because they desire it. Much like a government that controls the output of all goods, these players are demanding that this luxury item be shared with the masses, so as to have no class divisions between the lucky or rich players from the Casual ones.

Right now, in our current state, Casual gamers are liken to the Proletariat, while TP players are much like Bourgeoisie. Arguments between these classes are lop sided, since rich players are few, and the Casual or non-rich are the majority. But just because the majority would demand a certain thing from the government to make them happy, the government currently knows better than to give into the demands.

Human nature is to want. There is no problem with wanting to own a Dusk. There is no problem asking for a Dusk. But you need to take a step back, and look at the situation from a perspective that’s beyond just yourself. You would satisfy your own desires if you got what you wanted, but where would that lead the GW2 community as a whole if everyone suddenly had something that was ultra rare?

If you want a Precursor just so you can make a Legendary, you have cheap options to pick from on the TP. If you want Dusk because Twilight is cool looking, or is a status symbol since it’s pretty, or whatever, that’s your choice. Having made that choice, you join the thousands of others with the same desire, competing for the same item on the TP. If someone is willing to spend more Gold than you can afford to spend, then your options become limited. And because you made that choice, you agree to live with the consequences.

Maybe just not put u in a match with these people for 24 hours then your block list gets reset. To be honest I only come across the same 10 players or so day after day. It’s more my original issue where u repeatedly get put into matches with people who were kittens not 15-30 mins before.

Ha maybe I’m just being soft but making suggestions here is like being poked with a blunt spoon.

I can only suppose that’s what team queue is for at the end of the day – being on teams with people you want to be on a team with.

Yeah I didn’t want to draw attention to that line, it was precisely the kind of attitude that prompted this post.

No as I said, only prevent matching up on the same team, not the opposite team. So you’d only be blocking people you don’t want on the same team as you.

So you could have the opposite effect (blocking everybody you deem ‘unworthy’ of being on your own team) but I’d still prefer that then having people swear their heads of and omfgnewb every 10 seconds.

My block list is getting pretty hefty. Pretty much as soon as somebody starts getting mouthy or aggressive I block that person. Unfortunately in solo queue I usually end up on their team for the next match. So if by chance they happen to have something constructive to say I have the choice of losing that information or unblocking them.

90% of the time it just ends up with more abusive text in chat.

Please can we not be matched up on the same team with players we’ve blocked. Having to play alongside and potentially communicate with these abusive players in matches makes the blocking completely pointless.

So maybe d/cing players doesn’t fall under the umbrella of special commands on live servers….

I don’t know, this sounds iffy (troll) to me. It’s been said in numerous threads before by devs that on live servers they don’t have any special commands. I’d call d/cing another player a special command.

Maybe naive but I’d rather trust anet than random forum poster #277367 with no evidence.

My block list is flooded with kittens like these. The best thing you can do is just take with you the knowledge that they’re kittens in real life where it really matters and people shun them for it.
