But only a second after I sent paypal after them, so hopefully not all is lost yet.

I still don’t have the money back but there is activity on the support team.

What I still don’t understand is how they accept the codes in first place as valid. Let people play in the New zone/masteries/revenant the first hours after lunch. And then revoke all those keys again without explanation whats oever. If those keys were invalid then they shouldnt work in the first place right?

My understanding is that the keys are valid numbers but were bought by fraudulent means – stolen credit cards for example. ArenaNet accepts the key because they have no way of knowing otherwise. It is only when the payment is refused by the bank (because the stolen credit card was reported and all purchases stopped) that ArenaNet would know. This is why it can take several days. It is not a wise decision to buy from a cheap source. You end up hurting everyone involved, including yourself, and the only ones who profit are the thieves.

This is extreme specualtion. Most of these sites use not more and not less than the cost difference between countries. Did you know that a game in Russia costs up to 80% less than in the EU?

Most of these keys were bought through perfectly valid means. Someone, somewhere bought them and then resold them on cheaper sites, and know what the funny thing is? This is not against the law. Its at best against the terms of service of certain companies.

The question as to why anet is screwing with the players might be as simple as “they are making less money”.
Sadly, the market is full with their example of mentally handicapped kittens who then go and try to hunt down such keys, because in their opinion getting absolutely no profit, negative media and people who will never want to have anything to do with not only guild wars 2 but ANYTHING anet and ncosft kittens out, is simply worth it.
Hope they will work hard to get as much hate as possible.
They already got me on the hype train with suspending people left and right without any form of notification. You know, because they are not always kittens, but when they are, they think they can do literally anything to their customers.

so youre saying that if i buy my expansion in Russia with 80% discount in comparison to the Original price, even though the key is valid, they have all the right to take it away again because i didnt pay for it in anets store/country?

But I have still access to my 32 revenant, does that mean im allowed to play him or do they ban for that aswell? ?

I’m sorry but we cannot assist with this request as the code in question was purchased from an unauthorized reseller. I can only recommend that you request a full refund from them. If they are not willing to assist you, please get help from your financial institution for reclaiming the funds from this unauthorized reseller.

Further replies regarding this issue may not receive a response."

I would like to get a reason, notice, something official that states like “key you purchased was illegal” so I can contact paypal and start process getting my cash back. So far I have gotten nothing about that. Only action Anet has made is that they have downgraded my game account without any notice. It’s Anet’s system that accepted the key in first place.

PayPal has no refund on digital products

sent a ticket in the top at support, thats what i did.

i have the same issue, 7 achievements done in the first new map, 2nd glider mastery etc etc. now everything locked.

im sure they are on top of this. all we can do is wait :’)

my only goal is to keep having fun in the game

lore wise i’d say yes, and you get to earn hall of monument points for gw2 aswell to unlock some cosmetics and titles

i bought 3 bag slots on a char but want to change (read delete) the char to start new, will i get back the 3 bag slots or am i better off buying another char slot?

First of all the dry top and entangle maps are nice and good fun, but will we eventually get new maps with hearts, poi’s etc instead of just events?

Dont get me wrong, i like the event maps for inbetween stuff but a little more to do wouldn’t hurt me.

Suggestion: make old style maps in maguuma, ring of fire etc and let those maps count for legendary armour

When i started playing i made a nice little asura and jumped in.
So far so good, no “kill 10 rats” quests, every now and then i had to escort npc’s. Game started to get a little boring untill……..

I suddenly got jumped by the shadow behemoth, basically insta-died and stared a little shocked at my screen.

i agree on some parts, like the other day i wanted to do the drink achievement and bought me 1k wine from a vendor, just to click another 1k times more. got 2k points towards the achievement and will not do this more then once a week

im on 16.000 on the achievement now and guess at my rate it will be another couple months before i finally finish it :P

if you guys could add 2 additional filters to the trading post.

2 boxes to select 1 : show useable only, to show only items that character can use and 2: show learnable only, to only show recipes that character hasn’t learned yet.

and while you guys are on it, make it multiple upgrades at once, so +250 slots 500 gems, another 250 for 500 etcetc

on the cloud jumping towards finger part i Always start off playing the first tunes 2 clouds before the last 3, then jump on the 2 with the cloud blocking and release all buttons and mash your 331 :P, i opened the door while falling :P

yes a hotkey for 10 inventory slots would be nice, looking at all the drinks for thirst slayer(50.000) and champion boxes. i might have a very strong index finger soon

i’d say remove the damage on gear when doing gauntlet, specially after my 70+ tries on liadri it turns into a gold sink.

i tried and tried, and eventually kept on trying but i give it up :P

cant get past first phase. the camera is annoying me and i lack the strafing skills for it
what did disturb me the most is getting hit for 133k shadowfall, which i guess is the stuff falling every few seconds, when im not even close to it a few times.

i made it once past the first phase but that was in a bugged run where i was with another player and his/her subject 7 boss at the same time :P

i was wondering why i dont get a chest from the champion instigator event?

i got 2 or 3 yesterday and since then it was there but invisible to me, even today i dont get it.

the description says it requires 6 people, but is it ok if i use 5 of my chars and a kinnie does the 6th , or does it need 6 different people at the same time online to be finished?

well after 300+ tries i finally managed it, when i got used to holding the right mouse button and camera speed to close to half. so overall, bit frustrating and rewards not so good imo but hey, another achievement in the pocket :P

well i probably suck at jp’s as i only made it to the snowball once in 300 tries :P

its quite annoying when there’s only 3 people in the instance they all are thrown on the same path, with my little asura and a huge charr blocking my sight it gets even more frustrating then it already is(for my part)

but overall nicely done, looks great.

i almost get the hang of holding the right mouse button :P

i know it sounds weird but i never played guild wars 1 or any other releases after that. i believe it ended with eye of the north. but wouldnt it be an idea to sell the previous versions in the gemstore, with a download link to it attached so that your account is immediately linked to it and new players can get the monuments achievements done. instead of going to dig through stores here. i dont even know if its possible at all, but maybe try it out with guild wars 1 the original first version, and see what the sales do. after that feel free to cut it off the store again or bring out the others. as i’d love to see the other games too, but its pretty hard to find them here, unless i go to ebay, amazon etc.

hello, i want to report a hole that brings you to a cave underneath it in the sparkfly fen area. i found this hole and thought it was something hidden but it turns out you end up behind a invisible wall on the ground floor with nothing left to do then just either sit and watch the 2 mobs in there do their thing or map out to the closest waypoint.

il add 2 screenshots to show where it is, and what the hole looks like.

i jumped in it 3 times to be sure i wasnt wrong :P
