I believe race change would introduce problem for the main story. It could be done after the main story is completed.

Agreed. GW2 carries the name of Guild in it, but have very weak linkage to guild.

IMO, ANet opened WvW too early. It could have been better if they made some inter-guild competitions or even “wars” for half to one year then release it. In that way people should have been more accustomed to follow guild members rather than commanders to move.

In current state, the game could be more appropiately named “Server Wars” or even “World Wars” because WvW has become the center of most player activities. (Not that I don’t like WvW, just the percentage of Guild related activities is lower than what I’d expected.)

Ranger Short Bow Range Buff/Trait

In real life, a bow with stronger limbs will give you lower shooting rate, higher difficulty to aim, higher damage and longer range, regardless of whether it’s longbow or not.

Since we’re not seeing the higher level/rank bows have longer distance, it seems a bit pointless to complain about that.

Btw, since there’re already firearms in game, I think it’d be nice to have some compond bows here. (Suggested to be shortbow type, but with decreased level requirement built-in)

Agreed. When I started playing rangers, I was amazed with the fact the longbow and shortbow skills have the same range. Aren’t longbow supposed to be shooting longer?

What I find annoying is the gear isn’t viable at all being rare, so we’re paying 119g for transmute skins.

Like what others said, T3 gears are just luxuries.

If you need transmute skins or unlocking achievements, gears from T1 and T2 are better choices.

Kicking

When I was playing Mabinogi, the teams cannot kick team members while the team entered dungeons or quest maps. The result is there are players that are extremely high level but once entered the quest, they do nothing.

Now we’ve learnt what to do when such player is around. If we can’t kick him, we quit. Re-banding at the enterence takes time but it’s better than tolarating troublemakers.

I’m equipped in full exotics and honestly low level areas aren’t a challenge for me. If anything the level scaling could be tweaked a bit to add some challenge.

Agreed. You level is lowered, you damage and HP got adjusted, but bonus from your equipments and traitline still bring you huge advantage against the mobs.

There may not be much difference for a level 12 player, but any level 30+ players can kill level 2 mobs with one or two strike even if their level is scaled.

Yeah, that’s the exact reason why I pay for my brother’s game – just want to find someone that can level with me.

There’s LFG but groups going to lower level maps are not that common… most are looking for crafting materials only.

And you’re not supposed to be using “auto-pilot” in WvW map anyway.

For me, able to press “R” to continuously run forward is enough.

Legendary Pets - pve

Warriors can get big banner (just like those Japanese samurais) as backpack item if they want… :P Maybe with effect similar to commanders so players can reserve the use of commander status to WvW only. that should satisfy their ego.

For Guardians isn’t a tower shield with some internal cooldown effect nice piece of equipment? Small Area Aegis with “reversed cone shape area” (just like the cone shape healing skill, just in reverse direction because you’re protecting people behind your shield) can be a nice one.

For Thieves, I don’t have idea because I just hate it. XPPPPPPPPPPP

Ranged Ranges Elementalist Weapons

Having traits to increase elementalist’s range is good, especially when rangers, warriors and engineers got the range increasing traits already.

Btw, I think it’s the staff that needs this increment. In WvW when using elementalist it’s usual to see the longbow rangers can shoot you but you can’t shoot back.

For daggers, maybe some will be interested to make the range even shorter for better damage.

Anti-Stealth/Anti Thief Ablities

Please stop this thread, some threads are actualy worth reading, and if the good threads of suggestion was up, Arena Net would have it pretty easy to what needs to be implented in the game, and not to remove/remake every proffession so they can overcome something that is easy to overcome…….By making thiese suggestiong Arena Net would maybe miss the actual good suggestions that is worth reading/doing something about.

While I think just removing stomp when invisible is enough, I think it’s fair that if large amount of player complaining a type of skill is too strong, A-net should consider what to do about it. Afterall, the sole reason of periodically rebalance skills is to keep players playing the game.

I will make this quiet simple, you dont need a reason to remove stealth AT ALL, not in WvW or in PvP.

WvW is a bit more difficult, but again, you dont need to go after a thief, actually bad, since you the main thing you should do is defend/capture stuff again, everything from defending a tower with ac´s all over the place to atking a tower, stealth wont do anything.

Btw, I just seen the following once in WvW this month.

In this case, I was in a group of about 30 players attacking a keep. Just as usual after the keep is captured, most in the group follows the commander to attack the next target, and leaved about 5 players cleaning out the sieges inside the keep. And then we found an enemy thief stayed in the keep.

All of us keep throwing damage at him and can’t kill him or make him go away. He keep killing the NPC workers therefore makes keep upgrade impossible. This is just weird.

How about throwing enemy players out the keeps after the keep has been captured for… like 5 minutes?

yes, but only if they implement something to make it easy to learn for new players.

As someone who knows the stats this would be easy to learn, but as someone who just got into the game, It’d most likely be pretty hard to understand.

I think it’d be somewhat impossible for a player that can wear 3 stat. equipment to not understand what the stats. mean. At least they should have known the stats. related to his/her own build.

[fourth, prevent disease transfer from friend to foe. If you’re fighting a troll that you throw a disease at, the troll can’t infect the players in return by bumping into them. the only way for the troll to infect players would be for the troll to have an ability that puts the disease condition on the enemy]

I think if a mob can cast disease skill, people will find them and try them out like what the WOW incident happened.

Btw, I keep hearing warriors lacks condition removal skills. Have I heard it wrong again?

And also, when doing refinement of materials, it’ll be great if the items can automatically go into “collections” too. We normally will do so anyway, but sometimes when we forget, we have lots of materials in bags.

GUILD Bound

It’s good. Just make sure all guildbound items are returned to guild vault (maybe an extra one like collections in bank) when not representing or leave guilds.

Those guild armors and weapons can be good start point.

Elementalists in WvW huge flaw.

No need to remove the skill, just change it so you can’t pass gate/portal when you’re in that downed mist form and it’d be enough.

Btw, warriors when downed also can stand up and move into keeps. Yes they’ll die soon after that but team players can immediately revive them thereafter. Will you say the warriors also cannot pass gates/portals in that state?

Talking about WvW and guilds, I think A-net should put more incentive for guilds to claim objects on the map.

It seems very few guilds are doing this, possibly because guilds usually accept people from same country, therefore the keeps will be taken overnight anyway.

I think there’re lots of other skills that also have high cooldown but very few can guarantee death of downed target on single strike.

I, too, would like this. There are a few problems, namely what would your 4th and 5th weapon skills be, and if there are mainhand only, why not offhand only… etc, etc, etc.

It’ll be easy for those weapons that can both be wielded in main-hand and off-hand. Just treat it as if the player wielded the same weapon type both position. (They still have to accept losing stat. for single weapon slot.)

For those which can’t, I think they’d probably have to accept it “as is”.

In WvW, it’s very common to see 6-8 players attacking mesmer or thief but can’t kill them, then these 6-8 players were killed one by one by that mesmer/thief. I think it’s inbalance to create a skill/effect that enables single player to kill a group of people.

Because of this, I want to suggest a small change to cloaking – just disallow them to “finish” players while cloaking is in effect. They can still do damage to downed players to kill them but they’ll also have to take the risk of hitted by the others while doing that.

Any thoughts?

I’m Hong Kong player.

I’d love to see Traditional Chinese interface, but judged by experience from WOW (game content trimmed / tweaked to satisfy Chinese government so gamers not amused in PRC based releases), if added Chinese interface (Simplified or Traditional Chinese doesn’t matter), I think it’ll attract Chinese “gamer workshops” that’ll ruin the economy in the game.

So I’m a bit hesitated about that… blocking IPs won’t help because lots of gamers there are using US based VPN anyway.
