Except every spec will get a new weapon, not reworked current weapon, that was stated. Also, I think it’s most likely that the skills were just placeholders.

Except necro is getting a new weapon and Death Shroud is reworked when you have reaper spec active, Death Shroud is not a weapons skill set, but the same rework could apply to some weapons :V

i was checking the vid of woodenpotatoes about elite specs

and at min 10:13 he says something about traits that allow you to change skills and add new effects, so…. if you see the first 12 skill at the image:

you can see some skills in the same attunement (sword skills supposedly), but there is 1 skill of dagger and 2 other “chain” skills, so i think tempest will allow you to change your main hand dagger skill # 1 to a very short melee range chain skill (melementalist)

also remember what devs said at Specializations AMA Livestream Notes (check dulfy page for more info: http://dulfy.net/2015/04/24/gw2-specializations-ama-livestream-notes/), “The windborn dagger and scepter one with endurance weren’t super exciting so we are going to give you something more exciting”

that means tempest will affect scepter and dagger skills to have new effects therefore the new weapon is going to be an off-hand that will complement those weapons, the point is that tempest will change or add new effects to all skills (or at least for dagger and scepter) so dont worry if the new weapon is a warhorn or a dual focus, probably you dont have to use it to benefit from tempest

because is subscription-free (so idk if i want to pay for an exp)
and i was sick of playing WoW
WoW it’s great, i like the lore, the gameplay, the dungeons, raids, battle grounds, quests, etc
but i hate pvp specially when the two factions are so unbalanced, X realms killed alliance … i mean literally
that can be fixed playing in a pve realm, but still even if you don’t have to kill horde players you still have to compete with them and your allies for almost everything, from gathering items (you need a profession to pick a kitten flower), to leveling and questing, even in dungeons and raids
they kinda fixed some of those things but still i dont want to pay a monthly fee for that kitten vertical scaling game if i can play gw2, also because i got my first legendary at the 10th month and still can use it unlike in wow

I am all for mobility but this is quite ridiculous.

its obviously that you are only trolling or just ignorant about warriors mobility, they dont even need to go in a specific weapon set to heal while running; and how about thieves, what can be better than fast mobility and hiding; that is the cool of those professions

right now developers have failed in most of the working done for eles (elepocalipse) and nerfing something that was already nerfed would be stupid

and just one friendly observation to the op, may be you need to learn how to play your profession so you don’t give them the chance of running away from you, or try other profession and if you feel your profession is lacking of mobility you need to ask developers to balance it before blaming others professions of your ineptitude or theirs

it’s mostly useless,
first you can’t cast it if you are not in combat, you need to have a target and your target must be alive, and last your elemental runs to your target and stomp his skill in the enemy face too far away from your zerg, dying in the process like any ranger pet

glyph of storms seems a regular buff, may be good for lightning storm, i hope the other skills like lightning storm from Lightning Hammer get the buff too

elemental minions not so much since their damage is low, only earth elemental kinda worth for tanking, may be water elemental for healing asuming he is not geting killed before that

and only those glyphs, thats lame

fgs – fiery rush is nerfed in damage of the fire lines but increased the leap damage, still you can do more damage with the fire lines asuming you can create at least 4 lines because you can no longer stack them on the same area, what means 1 buff – 2 nerfs,

magic poof hits you with dragon’s claw 3 hits, 2 hits with ring of fire for a total of 13,233 + burning damage, then fire grab hits you for 12,277 = 25,510 of hp + burning damage ……..hmmmm i think you don’t know what “one shotted” means

so i guess that ele at least have Bolt to the Heart (Air Magic VI) what means you were downed to 25% or less of hp and then he hit you with fire grab…. were you just standing there watching the clouds ??

also your 4 signets mean nothing of your build so we don’t know if you are bunker, glass cannon or what??? and idk why you play a thief if you cand dodge

I’m running zerker Staff (suicide bomber) in soloq, and get so much qq from foes I nuke to death while downed, or from allies who don’t seem to notice the 4 foes I killed while they were trying to res me.
Nobody’s on my side, and I still win, and it’s so much fun.

I wanna ask you Elementalist players, what is your experience with this profession?
What can you kill and what can’t you kill in 1vX scenarios, is it worth to play even after the 15th of April patch?

i like eles they have a very high direct damage and same in aoe direct damage,

i can kill most of the other professions (1vsX) as long they remain in my rain of destruction

1vs1 depends a lot in enemy skills, i can kill in d/d or staff condi necros, eles, rangers

after patch is going to be the same thing for me, im going to try some new builds and see what happens … but will be most the same

Are you skilled? Can you beat other skilled players as an Ele?
EDIT: What is the most fun closest class I can pick, that is fun and rewarding at the same time? I’m tempted by Mesmer, and Engi I also enjoyed. How are Mesmers?

im not skilled, but not a noob, my biggest problem is my computer lagg; nope

besides my ele i like… necro and engi; the last character i made was a mesmer i havent played much with it but i feel like a very slow movement class; they have a good direct dmage and condi damage but not better than ele or necro; they have also some good support skills like tw, portals, stealth, buffs and dispells; illusions are not that good like minions(necro), summons(ele/guardian), pets (rangers) or turrets (engi) because they disappear when the enemy is dead but they have less cd to compensate and some can deal good damage; idk if mesmer can have a good tank or bunker build; is not easy for me deal with mesmers while using my ele so if you have to choose between ele or mes try mesmer

eles have to survive inmunity skills… obsidian flesh, mist form, vapor form, and the most useless Fortify, but surviving depends more on the play style

Out of some 5-6 Encounters with them – I survived 1 time. by running and trowing all my usual OMG! I’m getting wacked powers. Screaming like a 4 year old girl – and only just survived cause he hit a moa accidentally, – almost killing it, so that from downed state I could kill that and get back up to run and survive……

use mist form for a bit more of survival,
armor of earth so you can gain protection and stability then cast Lava Font around you and ice storm from frost bow, also lava tomb all those skills can help to down the thief if he is around you
air trait XI Tempest Defense in case of basilisk venom
if some thing immobilize you use burning retreat (staff skill4) and you can still dodge some attacks, also Fiery Whirl (fgs skill 3) can help to dodge and deals a very nice dmg if the enemy is near you, and Lightning Flash can help a bit
if you get downed wait 2 sec to activate mist form and try to kill some creature the fast possible so you can rally

i think the supposed “fix” for this will be the free trait reset so you can use your condi spec for pvp spvp or whatever or your zerker for pve frac … etc
i don’t see any future real fix for this at least for april 15 update

If they wanted to nerf RTL, they should have done it in a way that was consistent with every other skill in the game. The double CD on miss is still a ridiculous penalty, since it triggers on blind/block/evade/invuln as well as simply out of range.

They nerfed it because they wanted it to be used to engage targets, rather than run away from them. Well, if the attack was blocked, then I was trying to engage with it. So why am I still being punished so harshly?

if they wanted to use mobility skills to hit thargets they should rework ALL of them including Rush, Savage Leap, Bull’s Charge, Sprint, Heartseeker, Swoop, Tsunami Slash, Fiery Rush, Leap of Faith, etc… to work similar like mesmer illusions skills, can’t be used if you dont have a target (even if the target is out of range), in that way they are going to be used for the desired purpose …. so … why they didn’t “fixed” all other skills too???

thats sounds so unfair, why they should change the stacking at shatterer just to make one achievement obainable for a few people?

is not a bug or anything, the problem is that people think everything is automatic just to follow the zerg, you should do it before zerging every boss became popular, try doing more boss events by yourself or just with a party ,

try shatterer in a hour with less people around, even if you have to do it by yourself crystals will spawn at the sentinels attaking shatterer if you keep them alive, they can also spawn at npc near mortars, now i dont remember if you have to succeed the event after destroying the crystals…..

i like the fgs and ice bow how they are now, but the others need some improvements and i don’t think anet would add more buffs to the conjures beside of their actual stat buffs

but how about get the buff of a weapon while you can use the skills of your regular weapons (staff, daggers, focus, scepter) for example NOW you can use fgs underwater you dont get the skills but it buff your stats like if you were using it, so they can add some kind of trait to give you the stats of a conjured weapon for some time

also if they can reduce the cd of explosive lava axe to 2s and low the damage so it can be used to buff with combo blasts similar to short bow thieves, it would be a nice might stackfest

for lightning hammer seems a waste to use the auto attack chain or any other melee range skill and miss the hit reducing the charges of the weapon; if they can trait it to gain some extra charges while hitting the enemy or just adding more chrges, i really like this weapon but even wiht 25 charges seems to be not enough for a good fight, specially when some one else steals your other hammer and then just drop it because just was trying to loot

and for earth shield …. dont have any ideas…… i just use fortify

just because some one killed you 1vs1 with conditions does not mean is op, may be you … your profession can’t handle it properly
