Okay PLEASE can we stop getting so many tomes. We get them from logging in bonus, wvw rank up chests and on every single reward track lines. I personally have over 30 stacks of them which would take hours off clicking to add them all to my account.
Since they have different uses (xp and shards) I can see why they can’t be automatically applied to an account without clicking. However why can’t we simply have a right-click “use all” option for tomes.
And while we’re at at why cant be get a drop down option for log in bonuses for smaller things like tomes. I’m not saying give us more free stuff just an OPTION like if u dont need or want tomes have an option to take trans stone instead etc. Same for rank up chests and reward tracks, giving us an option to select something else instead of simply getting more and more tomes that at this point i’m havin gto delete and stack a week at least.
tactivators are an issue but imo not as much as alt account users who are also commanders who have been using alt accounts to spy and gain the advantage it gives them. Last week alone a certain VERY well known commander on another server (cant say which) was at it 100% of the time. We’d go one way to bait them creating swords on one tower etc and port out to hit the real target. However it failed to work since he was using his alt account the knew the plan in advance and was already waiting with 40 man zerg for us. We’d do golem rushes only for him to pick that exact moment to hit our T3. So we’d pull off that objective and port home to defend, the SECOND the tag ported home their zerg/com pulls off and runs away before he could have known we were back. At least not knowing in any legit way. Over the years this has happened 1000s of times with this commander alone.
He’s well known for alt account exploiting and has openly admitted it away from gw2 in voice comms etc. With free to play more and more people are using alt accounts to spy and cheat and seems not a single person has ever been banned for this even though this falls under exploiting.
My question to anet would be are there any plans to address this issue at all?
I asked one dev about this in game (rare to see them in wvw) and he basically said “It’s complicated”. So because its complicated does that mean nothing is done about it at all?
If someone owns two accounts and they registered them in their own names then anet can link the accounts together. If they’re on different servers and both accounts used at the same time in wvw then there will be ways to restrict those users, and stop them using more than one of their accounts at a time. Of course there will always be workarounds where people setup free accounts not linked to the same name. address, ip address etc. But at least it would be a start to reduce the exploiting going on.
I have 10 accounts and I have no problem with only being able to play one at a time. I cant see any legit reason why someone who owns more than one account to be logged into more than one at a time (other than to mail over things to other account) and even that can be worked around by using personal guild bank and putting money/items in that instead of mailing them.
Please address this issue ASAP you have had YEARS already to address this critical issue that as i type this is being exploiting in T1 and I’m sure across the board.

Of course I had already done that 4 weeks ago, and the only response was a thanks for reporting it we’ll look into it. That was the only response I got before they closed the ticket without attempting to fix it. I have again opened a ticket about this and again we wait….

still waiting for this to be fixed. So far I’ve been able to block about 1 person a week everytime i try to block or add someone to FL anyone else i get the error code. Very frustrating not to be able to block people who deserve it.
Is it also possible anet can work or the UI of the FL/blocklist to display the max allowed. OR give an offical response about the max allowed. Currently no one knows since its not listed in the UL for example 46/100, And wiki doesnt have that information as well. I know my list is not full since i have been able to add 1 person per week to it while getting the error message the other times.
Currently cant add anyone to my game list. When I try to i get the message
“The guild, squad, or party is full. (Code=3011:1002:3:2690:101)”
I did remove some people from blocklist incase it was full to see if i could add more to it. But the same error message pops up even after i’ve removed people from the list. So its clearly not a full list issue.
This has been an issue I’ve noticed for about a week now.
Some of you completely missed the point saying “I voted for Desert Borderlands”. Anet NEVER gave us the option to NOT have that map. And this was the final straw for a lot of hardcore WvW players including commanders. Fixed polls do not help the community and that was what anet gave us. The options were not do we want DBL, but how often we wanted that map on rotation. Anet refused to admit thier failure with the map and the fact only 1 in 100 wvw players ever went to the DBLs (and normally for short periods). And decided the “poll” about the map would not include the option to have the map perma taking away. So no matter what anyone voted on to keep it on rotation weekly, bi-weekly or monthly didnt change a single thing anet ignored the masses again and we never had the option to have that map taken away.
The map is 100x bigger than it needed to be resulting in 10mins + to get from one side to another if a person dies etc and making its layout complicated to get around at the best of times = no one plays it.
So if one side focuses on DBL with zerg for ppt it will likely take hours before the paper is flipped back if not days, because normally no one wants to go there in place of EB. Thats why the first said way before beta dbls that it would replace EB map on a weekly basis. Instead they again changed their minds and decided to keep EB and instead use the new map for a 4th map. Less population in wvw than ever and they give us ANOTHER map making no sense…..
Then we have “linking” instead of deleting half the severs (bottom tier) they instead link servers in a completely unbalanced way. Anet simply dont understand their own game and STILL after 4 years refuse to listen to the REAL wvw players or common sense that would have saved this game mode.
Anet GAME OVER 1000s quitting who only played wvw because you cant seem to get basics. Give them more golemrush weeks which can be perma exploited again and then leave the exploit in game as u did before…………..
Yup same here. For the last week I’ve been getting 1-5k ping in wvw Eb, alpine even EoTM anytime i even get close to a zerg. Even small scale fights 15vs15 I’m getting crazy unplayable lag…
Quit with the PVE BS and start sorting the BASICS out pls anet. And you wonder why sales are at a all-time low, start listening to the players paying your wages!!!
While this is annoying its completely understandable these things happen unexpectedly and its great that you\re fixing this asap.
However after 4 years playing we STILL get the template logon error message regardless of the situation. Instead of showing us the message blaming OUR end and OUR internet connect can we start getting proper information. When you have shut down the servers (planned or unplanned) can you say so when we are trying to log in. I’ve seen that login error 1000s of times over the years and only TWICE was it my internet connection (router needed resetting) 98% of the time its nothing to do with my internet or router and its down to your servers (for whatever reason).
Not everyone checks twitter and a lot of people are running around calling their ISPs, resetting routers, reinstalling the game to try to fix the issue when its as simple as you taking down the game for a short time.
The first point of call to the issue is this error message and it makes sense instead of saying its an issue with the players internet to inform them instead of the real reason.
Anets known for very bad communication with players, removing this error message that’s 98% of the time misleading/incorrect would be a great start.
Your suggestion which is similar to merger and world linking will not solve the issue in long term. Reason being, population will go unbalanced in long term.
No it’s not the same thing as a merger/current failed system. halving the servers WILL have more of a balancing effect on wvw vs what we have now.
Currently we are stuck with a system that has had the opposite effect to what anet intended (balancing the matches). We are seeing in EU and NA top servers in their tiers being paired with other servers when they were clearly holding their own as it was. Now they are all impossible to beat due to their numbers and coverage.
Instead scrapping half the servers (all bottom servers from each tier) and giving free xfers to those people to move over to other servers is completely different.
It will be more balanced that way. The other thing to consider is the current pairing do little to bring server pride. Lack voice coms with the other paired servers/allies and basically makes servers even more disorganized than they were to begin with.
SO having less servers means.
1. More balance to the wvw population.
2. No more failed glit match-ups/pairings.
3. Servers get their pride back or build it up on their new servers. Get to know each other better and commanders & guilds about to work together better. Vs being temp allies who can’t be bothered to work together since the pairing isn’t for long.
4. Voice comms can be perma setup for people joining the new servers (more organized).
5. And less servers = less chance people are going to bandwagon.
And yes there will NEVER be a perfect balance in wvw I agree, its impossible with the 24/7 game-mode. However it still can be GREATLY improved compared to this current failed and cheap (for anet) way to “fix” balancing issues. And this current system is not a long term OR short term fix, take a look at the match-up boards and see.
All the people on the “to-be-deleted” servers will rage if Anet ever decide to do that. This already been discussed in the past and it’s not a option unless they want to lose a good chunk of the people who still bother to play this broken game mode.
You’re from DH who are currently in 12th place, So would be on the to-delete list. So you defending the current failed system is simply because YOU don’t want your server deleted. At least speak your own mind and say where your argument is coming from.
If you have server-pride then that’s a good thing but at least be up-front with your comment. And yes I agree SOME people like being on bottom tier servers and don’t want then getting to high pop status, however to save the game-mode something needs to be done. And this is in my mind a solution to the balance issues that the pairing is not.
They would be given free xfers to the other servers so it wouldn’t cost them gold/gems. It may split them from some friends on other servers, but I don’t think that outweighs the massive issue wvw has had since the start with balance.
pairing is NOT working and I have been warning about this for a long time.
We don’t need pairing servers we need LESSS servers. Then offer free xfers to the people who are on the less pop servers to the other servers until they are full.
Currently Desolation the strongest in t1 and ranked 1st have been paired with another server Ruins of Surmia while the other 2 servers they’re against have been paired with no one? This is balance? Ofcourse des are already winning now by 10k and will win the match by at LEAST 100k by the end of the week.
Then look at Abaddon’s Mouth already high pop server and strongest in their tier and they are also the ONLY ones in their tier so get a pairing with another server Miller’s Sound and already at 30k to AR’s 15k.. It’s basically now impossible for them to lose this week.
This IS not balance anet. STOP dragging your feet on this its already been 4years and admit there is too many servers and HALF need to be deleted then and ONLY then can we start trying to get REAL balance to wvw.
Forcing servers together like this is completey counter productive. We need less servers more people shared equally on the remaining servers and more server pride back to this gamemode.
Server pair is a fail. Your polls are not asking the right questions. Instead of asking how often pairing/resets should happen ask if pairing should happen at all vs deleting bottom tier servers and bring people together on ONE real server.
We are a few hours into this weeks matchup and I could already tell you who is going to win each tier. This beta test of pairing should be cancelled it failed…
Anet have stated they will NOT be refunding peoples Laurels. The reason they give is Laurels can be converted into gold and people on mass getting lots of Laurels back may have an inpact on the market such as dye prices etc (since Laurels can be used to buy dyes). I agree this could be an issue, however I can also see the easy option they seem to not be offering.
The simple solution is if anet let us exchange/convert the inscriptions with an npc. For example allow power +5 infusion to be exchanged for a +5 condi etc. It would be better than the current system.
That said the forced enrichment slots was a messy idea and not really justified imo in the first place.

It does stink of a cash grab again, add a kitten load of different keys means no doubt they sell more bank slots and invent slots. Very greedy of anet. In GW1 we had two kinds of keys zkeys for the pvp chest and lockpicks that opened all other chests in the world (that even has a % chance not to brake meaning they could be reused). In gw2 we have about 10 different kinds and this number is increasing. Gw2 badly needs a cull of invent trash. DELETE ALL THE KEYS AND ADD LOCKPICKS!

Anet wont do this ever. They already said the next expansion they will add another elite line which they picked over the idea of secondary professions. It means its easier for them and they can control balancing better, though the elites will always be more OP than reg builds to get people to buy the next expansions.
Always loved the secondary prof option in GW1 and I personally found it gave GW1 way more life than it would have had without it. But gw2 team wants to limit the gamelife and the amount of skills we can use as well as limit the weapons each profession can equip.
But yeah this option they said a while ago is off the table and wont ever be a thing in GW2. Anet again ignoring their customers.
depends if you PVE or not, its more worthwhile for pve farming. I get about 20 more rares a week since maxing base MF. I also had Spark (950g) and The Energizer (300g)drop after maxing MF. Zero pres dropped for me before maxing my MF on a 4 year account, two pres within 3 months of maxing it.
So yeah I would say the 300g I spent on the ecto salvage way was worth it.
Its not a new issue the AI for it sucks and always has done. As others have suggested set a hotkey for nearest target. But even then in wvw you will still see the autotarget target walls/gates rather than the guy stood infront of you hitting you, or target the npc over the real player/threat.
polling is useless with the questions they have and after they have already KILLED wvw.
Asking us if we want pairing vs no pairing? no good at all.
The REAL question is WHY do we have far far far far far far far too many servers to begin with.
It’s right there the problem and solution. If anet deleted 6-9 servers = higher population on the other servers perma.
this linking is NEVER going to fix the problem. Linking worlds means there in ZERO server loyalty, lack knowing each other guilds/tags/scouts most wont have TS set up for pairings. and that’s when pairing works, so far I’ve seen big servers get paired with other big servers while smaller get none or smaller server linking. Make bigger servers ever bigger and the balancing is counter productive. OR reduce the servers completely allow free xfers fill all servers up and soon people will have server loyalty again and we will have coverage on all maps again.
Anet refused to admit there is far to many servers and this is the REAL issue here. Anet don’t like to admit when they get it wrong and also more servers as far as they are concerned = higher chance people xfer = more profit from xfers.
Sorry to tell you anet this is a failed tactic with regard to wvw players. More servers = less balance = less people play = less profit for you.
Fix wvw pop issues = delete 6-9 servers from EU and 6-9 from NA, allow free xfers for those players on a server that’s got deleted.
Increase the map sizes in wvw by 20-30 more players. We will then see people getting used to their new servers and most of the issues in wvw are solved. World linking vs reducing the servers is not the solution, we all know it so please admit it yourself anet.

Same with Desert BL like I was telling my ex the other day, Bigger is not always better. Desert map is far too big (like 60% bigger than it needs to be). Because of its size it takes far too long to get around so puts off roamers AND zergs/ktrainers. Too big+too many PVE rubbish = disliked by most of the real W3ers.
All that time wasted on the desert map (years) and you could have simply deleted servers to fix the problem with population. Desert map will never be full nor get more people intrested into wvw gamemode.

dunno why people keep saying they are forced to do something to get an item they want. Its like GW2 is the first mmorpg theyve played or something. Go play Runescape or Runes of Magic or probably WoW. High level items especially unique items traditionally only have one way of being obtained.
Missing the point bro completely. People are not complaining a certain game mode has its own skins. Like dungeons have their own skins fracts have their own wvw well HAD the mist skins (currently unobtainable). This is all fine and no problem with that. However LEGENDARY skins are completely different and should never only be obtainable to ONE game mode. As you maybe aware they are end game items for a lot of people and as such they should not be obtainable from only one source they are unique skins to the game but shouldn’t be unique to one game mode.
Other skins to their own game modes I don’t think anyone is complaining about.
Don’t forget ANET mis-sold HOT advertising 12 new Legendary sets of weps and Legendary armor. People brought HOT for that reason then they sold us the game 6 months later cancelling legendaries and now only making legendary armor obtainable from one game mode 70% of the community are not interested in playing (raids).
People have a good reason to feel let down and cheated yet again when it comes to legendary topic.. This was not what we were sold on…

Yup anet AGAIN have failed to learn from their mistakes. Legendaries weapons or Armor should be able to be gained/earned from ANY game mode and not just ONE. Trying to push people to one gamemode backfires, just like pvp legendary backpacks has.
I am even less likely to want to play that gamemode because ANET are not being fair to players that like other gamemodes.
I play wvw and we get no legendary backpacks/armor even the mist skins are no longer available because we need tokens that can only be obtained via wvw seasons which anet hasn’t done in YEARS……..
All they do is give me even less reason to keep playing. I don’t like raids so wont play them. = LESS incentive to play longer so the gamelife decreases. Only offering things like this for one game mode not only removes timesinks for people like me it also removes possible goldsinks since I wont do raids so won’t spend gold on it.
We should be able to get Legendary items regardless of if we play pvp,wvw,pve content. Stop pushing everyone to gamemodes they don’t like.

Can you finally completely remove ALL pve creatures from wvw. There in zero reason are them to be there I can understand the vet events like wurm, however everything else needs to be removed. They simply just get in the way, give stealth classes more of an advantage during fights they just give the other player the mobs aggro and use it to their advantage. You no longer can rally off them and they dont drop much loot.
WvW is not PvE so can we finally remove pve content. I know you cut the pve creatures number down a bit but I think most of us want to see them completely gone unless they are a event. Just distracting and pointless to have them still here in wvw maps.
Yeah it was annoying to see in wvw and never should have been there anymore than a wvw rank should not be shown in pve area or pvp. Keep pvp titles in pvp and wvw titles in wvw was the best option and anet have finally fixed that mistake. Next up I hope they give us w3ers the option to completely hide our wvw ranks as well.
I found the higher rank just makes you more of a target more so when high rank and commanding, it becomes fairly obvious to the enemy players who the commander is.

The ability to save builds.
The ability to save friendlist/blocklist to import to alt accounts.
The rest will be filler like Hot maps were. Mel event is still bugged daily and has been on/off bugged since beta if they cant fix long term known bugs like events and movement bugs I have little hope for any new expansions…
Hmm have to agree. They should be able to set traps while stealthed, however once the trap(s) are set off this should break theif stealth like normal. I know DH traps are set off = if stealthed using trapper runes the DH is revealed. The same should apply to all classes/traps. Not sure about rangers but I don’t think traps break their stealth as well.
Traps+Stealth = Needs balancing.
Also add even though i currently play trapper runes on my DH I think traps duration needs a nerf. I can set traps currently that last 10-15mins, this should not be the case. Apart from stealth/seige traps etc that last an hour or until the person dropping them leaves map (which ever is sooner). All other traps should last no longer than 1-5mins MAX, 10-15mins is far too long.
For example I can lay down a ton of traps that do 20k damage and wait for them to be set off by someone. Then I can drop another set of traps straight away because the first ones lasted soo long.

come to the conclusion having builds being able to be saved makes life harder for the balance teams, Since we’d be playing around with different builds more. And i bet this is the real reason they refuse to allow us to save builds like we could do in gw1.
Though I expect to see this feature added to the next xpac as a sweetner to try to get people to buy another likely over hyped xpac. They know its something we’ve been asking for since closed beta so you can bet they will in the end add the feature only to put it behind another paywall (xpac).
They claim to be listening to the community yet this is the second poll I’ve seen (first i didnt bother voting for) that is completely limited. Please next time give us more options rather than only two. As said above I voted yes to fix population, however I’m not happy with the way its currently being done. So I’m forced to vote yes when its not really what i want. You will end up with people voting for things they dont want with limited polls like this and nothing get better again…
Still not happy with this or the limited options for yet another half-kitten poll.
Personally given a yes/no only option I voted yes to keep pairing. However I still think this option that anet picked is over very bad. Its simple DELETE half the lower end servers there was always too many server to begin with which only made balance in wvw numbers worse.
Pairing is OK however those servers are unlikley to know the other commanders/guilds/pugs/scouts/ or have full guild access to their “paired” servers ts or other coms. Which still leaves them at a disadvantage.
Deleting the lower end servers giving free xfers and expanding the other servers/map numbers would be MUCH MUCH MUCH better. They can then start having server pride again and not just dumped on a server they’re allies with for a week.
They can then get used to the guilds/pugs/ other commanders that are there and build up more organized servers.
The only REAL fix to wvw numbers is to completely remove at least six of the current servers at the bottom of the current tiers and consolidate.

Can we remove the pop up distractions in wvw telling us who claimed what every few mins. Or give us an option to turn this off. Also can we have an option to turn off the shortcut to the wvw if we click on bar at the bottom of the screen in wvw by mistake.
The UI is getting more and more cluttered for no real reason, if this you your idea to refresh the content these pop up boxes/messages really dont do it for me. They’re just becoming very annoying and distracting.
Also a side note after 2 years can you also fix the new build messages for wvw that say wvw is closing down in 3 minutes, when infact it always closes it down in 30 seconds never 3 minutes. As said that has been going on for years, reword it to say what you mean 30-seconds Ty.

You would think that but thats not true. Gold sellers don’t use mail system to spam people they use map chat or private messages 95% of the time. This changed after anet added the report link/icon in the mail system. That mean’t gold sellers were reported sooner if they abused the mail system, than if they just used the private message system.
The heavy mail restrictions are for a completely different reason though anet will never offically admit it. They are restricting mail to discourage people moving things to their ALT/mule accounts. This in turn makes people BUY more bank/invent bags/tabs and in turn makes anet more money. I moved 100 items over to my alt account this took HOURS due to the mail restrictions that kick in after only 3 mails and only allows you to send up to five items per mail.
So the real reason is to prevent people using their PAID for alt accounts for extra storage and NOTHING to do with gold sellers advertising. They also added more restrictions to guild banks for the very same reason, to punish people using other storage means.
Even before those new guild bank restrictions they targeting people thinking about starting a guild for the 50 slot guild banks. Right after HOT they changed guilds and how upgrades could be ordered completely removing influence system. With influence system removed solo-guilds no longer could upgrade their guilds or order more storaging unless they had a bigger none-one man guilds. And they now have to run guild missions etc before they are allowed to upgrade guild bank stoarge, making it impossible for solo-guilds to get the free storage now.
They also recently added to the max allowed normal bank storage people can now BUY if you didnt notice, to get those already at max stoarge to buy even more bank tabs…..
Its all about the money.

When is this issue going to be resolved or at least looked into?
Now with F2P its gotten even worse. Another guild grp (who im not allowed to name because of forum rules) was clearly exploiting for 3 hrs none stop. They knew our location at all times, even playing it completely random preventing our zerg capping sentries etc and there they are waiting for us. They clearly were using an alt account on our side to spy on us and see chat etc.
Certain guilds at least in NA are well known for this kind of thing and its beyond a joke now. If you wish to fix wvw and REALLY address it then this issue needs to be sorted.
If there is the same IP address using two accounts at the same time on different teams on same map, this needs to be flagged and monitored by anet staff. You can see a pattern with these accounts and have access to their chat etc.
I know this guild today was exploiting but i cant prove it and its not always possible to pick out the person whos using the alt account to spy. We need the botting/exploiting report feature to have TEXT so we can explain what is going on to any reviewer this is KEY to address this kind of exploiting.
These people have been getting away with this for years and its only getting worse since f2p. I would also like to know if/when someone is busted for this kind of thing which i bet is rare, are ALL thier accounts perma banned or just the free one ?
really need more to be done about this long running issue thats driving people away from this gamemode..
I’d suggest getting your money back if you’re not happy with it. Open a ticket with cust support and put in a request for a refund, they legally have to comply with that request.
Really for what it is imo it should have been marked at max 500 gems.
Can we get some kind of fix to block people party spamming you to join a party when you dont want to. It could easy have a cooldown if someone has invited someone to party and its been rejected 3 times in a row the person inviting them is blocked from inviting them again for 10mins or summit. Currently this party feature is used to harrass and distract other players. For example I’ve been invited to a party 20x in the last 15mins all of which I’ve rejected.
Currently there is no way to block invites, even changing status to offline doesnt prevent them from spamming party invite to annoy/harrass people. Only options are keep rejecting them, ignore them and have annoying UI of the invite perma on screen or stop playing.
Fix please..
fix. Add cooldown to invites, give an option to block all party invites when selecting offline status, or reveal the name of the person spamming the invites. Currently it only shows the party leaders name when your being invited. And doesnt reveal the persons name who is spamming the invites so they cant be blocked in FL.

Wheres the source of this information that they’re removing the buffs? First I’ve heard about this. This would be a massive change if they really were thinking about do this it would give even less reason for servers to try to win. It would also cost people a lot of gold considering some spent a lot on xfers etc. I would like to see where anet said they were doing/thinking about this.
100% chance if any new playable race come with the next xpac it will be Kodan and not tengu imo. Kodan are already playable in EoTM if you do the forge event FR side. Their home the shiverpeaks is already there to add a home instance too as well. So a lot of the leg work has already been done. But for anet to go ahead with this idea they would need a lot more selling points before people even consider buying the next xpac after H.O.T and anet know it.
It’s not a bug no. Titles in wvw replace your name to invaders. It would be way too long to display your ign and the long title next to it. And they replace your ign to invaders to reduce the angry pms other servers can do when killed etc.
If your asking because you wish to know your current rank then simply press B in-game and it should show your current rank and title and the next rank number needed to get next title. As a side note there was a bug for memsers and their clones did show your own rank to yourself and allies, it only affected mesmers though not rangers/pets etc.
Apart from that you should be able to see your own rank or other allies ranks.
Yeah the AI for targeting is crap and has never been great. Targeting doors/walls/npcs in wvw over over players who are trying to kill me. Or targeting people completely out of range over the guy stood in front of me killing me…
Your best bet is to set yet another hotkey for targeting for the nearest target in options. This is the only autotarget that really works imo.

I’m not sure how its taken a dive as you put it. The market for wood is massive and prices are still at all time highs. And will continue to be that way for another year or so until most have gotten their guilds/legendary done.
There has been no secret that wood and leather prices are at all time high since hot and other mats like potent venoms etc took a dive since hot. So I’m not sure your post was justified.
Anet have admitted they’re aware that crafting a pre doing collections will currently cost you more than simply buying the pre off the TP. That is of course non-hot pre’s since the others cant be sold/brought. Its basically for people that find it hard to save gold and like to do it bit by bit or people who enjoy waiting for bugged events..
Personally I will never do collections unless I want to get a new H.O.T legendary (because i couldnt get them anywhere else). I was going to buy dusk from TP but instead decided to take my chances with level 80 gs in forge instead. Lucky for me 500g worth of rares = 1x dusk, 1x dawn.
Since then I’ve gotten dusk again from forge for 300g worth of rares. SO 800g and 3 pre’s vs 1100g for one dusk on tp. So i’d say if you can save about 500g go the forge way and get one from there (if lucky). Until collections are fixed and prices reduced for those mats then that is not the way to go for tyria pre’s at least not if you care to save your gold.
This happend a while ago and was in patch notes and on the forum. Anet said they would be reducing the drop rate of them from salvaging since they were never the higher value anet wanted them to become. So anet reduced the supply of them by a lot and in turn increased demand and their value. This was anets goal so its highly unlikely they intend go back to giving us them from salvaging again. Dont forget they are used to craft legendaries when they were like 30c each it wasnt the goldsink anet wanted them to be.
Overall It’s hard to say one option, It depends where they’re fighting, who is fighting, if its an offical duel or not and what else is going on in the map at the time.
If I think its a offical duel i will normally walk passed or stand and watch and stop any attempt to stomp if my ally is downed. But if i dislike the ally then i would leave or watch and let them die if they lost. If the person they were fighting was on my “hitlist” from a certain guild then I may likely just join the fight or gank them solo, since they would likely do the same to me.
Otherwise I’d not get involved and let the duel play out as long as its a fair fight. That said many people would jump into the fight many just dont know about the “dueling spots” and always think its okay to jump in to “help”. We even have a high number of people that will gank afkers in this game still and who have little respect for the unwritten rules of playing fair.

Okay Anet you need to rethink this whole idea, it may work in wvw overflow map (eotm) however it does not work for main wvw.
The issue with the temp server ally for the smaller sides is
1. Server A has main commander who wants to tag for his server, the ally server B also has their main normal commander that wishes to tag for his server. The result is allies are then fighting eachother for followers which creates an unhappy map and everyone leaves.
2. The idea of temp ally means there is not always time for people to get TS setup for their new temp ally before the week is up. So the bigger server still has the advantage since they dont have an ally to have to get setup on TS.
3. This idea increases the chances of alt account spying and seige trolling having a megaserver idea in main wvw.
Lets FINALLY admit the truth please anet, you hoped you were going to have more active players when creating gw2 and put in place far to many different servers for the amount of people you expect to buy/play the game. This quick fix to the problem of population balance is and has failed again. It’s time to do what you should have done YEARS ago, and thats DELETE the bottom two tiers. Once you’ve removed the bottom six servers you then offer them FREE xfers to the other servers to fill them up.
Over time we will see a REAL change to numbers in WvW and more people becoming attracted to the gamemode again. Do this and COMPLETELY remove the desert maps that are 70% bigger than they needed to be and we stand a chance to bring the vets/guilds back.
Please stop dragging your feet and start removing the amount of different sides/servers we currently have.
1. They charge to list gw1 on stream. gw1 is dead so any sales are better than none, compaired to gw2 it has no way near the same playerbase anymore.
2. Guild Wars 1 is no longer doing updates and that stopped about 2 years ago. Microsoft/sony and stream charge games to update/patch their games. MS for one charges $5k per patch, considering Guild Wars 2 needs about 12 patches a month that cost soon adds up.
So gw1 sales are dead and its getting no more updates and thats why they can add it to stream. Guild Wars 2 for these reasons can and will never be added to stream/xbox/playstation etc. Not until the games dead like gw1.
OK, stop and think. If loot drops were linked to wvw score, what do you think would happen? Everyone will move over to the winning server(s) and create even more unbalance than ever before. It would also unfairly punish people that don’t play or like wvw. Very bad idea.
Okay thanks to those that didnt try saying i was making this up. I thought I’d keep you updated once this was resolved, and as of 10mins ago I have my gold back thanks to support.
Here’s a copy of the email they sent me and a screen of the 5 mails they sent me in-game each one containing 100g to the total of 500g.

The issue is this current system is flawed and i can again find myself being the victim of trolls abusing the system to try to get me or others banned. Even the support team doesnt trust their own detecting systems, if they did they would have returned the 500g in ONE mail instead of splitting it up into 5. Because they know sending it in one mail will likely flag my account yet again. I’m thankful to GM Leia for my gold back of course, but still angry this flawed detection system and its false positives, not to mention the lack (in my case) of proper checks before removing gold from players accounts.
The problem with this is it in itself its open to abuse. Thanks to this “system” I’ve lost 500g from my account that was legitimately earned by myself.
I was warned someone wanted to get me banned because they didnt like me. Hours later I get a mail sent to me containing 500g from someone I don’t know. Thinking this is some kind of scam/bait to try to get my account flagged and maybe banned i play it smart and click the “return to sender” link in the mail. This returns the gold back to the sender without it going into my account.
Next day I log on my account funds have gone from 880g down to 380g, so 500g missing from my account. I now think it was anet who took the gold, I dont have access to my email account so no idea if it was indeed them (have opened a ticket though 1948145).
So I suspect on sending me the gold the troll got my account flagged and then later the anet team removed 500g thinking it was dirty money. As said the problem is the dirty money was returned to the sender and never got put in my account. So the 500g they infact took was MY legitimately farmed gold. So they didn’t double check that 500g was returned to sender, they just took my gold…..
Still waiting for support to admit this to me and give me my farmed gold back. I have never brought gold and never will nor would I accept any gold that I suspected of being dirty money. So it would have been nice if the team had checked my account properly before taking 3 weeks+ worth of gold from me without any questions or checks…

Rely on bots to flag accounts, that is good. However then simply removing gold without and proper checks after that, should NOT be happening.

I expect all wvw tiers to be completely reset again after HoT release (just a guess) but its something that’s much needed and anet have wanted to do this for a long time. Clearly the tiers need a shake up and the current rotation of servers each week is not working, we face the same two servers every match up boring and stale.
If they do completely reset servers i would suspect a lot of the bandwagoners will xfer given the chance or free temp xfers on offer.
The lack of response is seriously ridiculous, I assume they are just going to let the event run its course and try and pretend it never happened.
Completely agree, It looks like the thousands of reports/emails/videos/ss and threads are going to be ignored. Then on friday the event is over and anet will admit their ‘mistake’, and then ban no one. I’m seeing this exploit being used by 30+ players an hour at least in wvw.
Its funny how they banned 50k players for “exploiting” the karma bug at launch, most of which had no idea they were exploiting. Yet ignoring this wide spread exploiting by people who are clearly aware they’re exploiting (running 100% faster and doing 100% more dmg). But direct gold is not involved so they’ll let another EPICFAIL event continue and not ban a single player over it.
gw2 is losing alot of the player base and at this rate all we’ll have left is exploiters. Anet will wake up and notice only after their annual report is in and they see profits drop.
Personal I’ve had enough and wont be doing any wvw now until after reset, its pointless to try to play fair in this game against these people.

kitten DISGRACE anet! Yeah same group of five with this buff ALL not in golems yet still have lem buff of health increase, 100% damage, 100% movement speed.
I BETTER BE HEARING ABOUT MASS BANS OF PEOPLE CLEARLY ABUSING THIS! I had an account perma banned because of a anet screw up, no appeals listened to. And these people are clearly exploiting and clearly know it. FIX AND BAN.
number 4 of this rune “25% chance when stuck to cause bleeding” if triggered seems to break stealth. This should not count as direct attack dmg, please fix this bug.
